Yes, you can earn from the forum. Yes, merits are important if you are looking for good and stable earnings. But, you won't be earning from day one and no one will be giving you merits unless you contribute to the forum. In my opinion you should first start by staying active and try to create topics here that in a way contribute to the knowledge of forum members. I have seen a lot of members getting good amount of merits by doing the same.
3322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest in a possible Bear market? on: December 25, 2021, 11:24:52 PM
In bear market the best coins will be the top 5 as per CMC. You need to have good capital first and second it should be in stable coin. With every drop start accumulating by investing a certain amount and hodl. Then wait for the market to recover. The risk is high as no one knows how low the market can go so always DYOR.
3323  Local / India / Re: Crypto debit card in India on: December 25, 2021, 08:44:45 AM
Crypto debit card cannot be used in our country because of financial regulation. We are yet to pass a bill from the parliament and in between so much chaos I do not think it will get passed in this session of parliament.

I remember one of the exchange in 2018 did setup Bitcoin ATM in India in a few cities and all those ATM's were removed and later on in a few months time a blanked ban was put on cryptocurrency transactions.

So, forget about a crypto debit card.

Just for more clarity. Its not IPL revenue sharing model but based on every sold foreign players. For example if player A gets 2 million in auction then his respective board will receive 15-20% fees.

Speaking of ICC, they did requested IPL share from the BCCI (actual revenue share) but BCCI politely told them to fuck off.

That's why boards are willingly sacrificing there players for IPL over bilateral series. IPL is a win-win situation for players, boards, officials, commentators, TV rights and much more. The way IPL is going I am sure BCCI control over the cricket will further tighten. ICC is under the complete control of Big3 and as long as Big3 are happy ICC wont interfere in IPL.

Obviously, ICC would not interfere as the Big 3 is the biggest revenue generator for ICC and especially BCCI. IPL is the biggest revenue generator for BCCI and therefore they are willing to sacrifice bilateral matches. If everyone is getting benefited then why will they move to something else? To date, the viewership of IPL has not decreased it has been increasing every year.

Bangladesh's Under-19 team played against Nepal's Under-19 team today. Bangladesh scored 297 runs losing only 4 wickets. Prantik Nowrose Nabil scored 127 runs off 112 balls. Nepal lost all their wickets for just 143 runs. I do not understand why their national team is so weak despite having such strong and talented players with Bangladesh Board. We have seen before that the young players of Bangladesh have played great and won the Youth World Cup. But the same player is not able to play well in the national team. Bangladesh's board should be more careful about these players.
Defending champions Bangladesh start their campaign in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup with a convincing victory over Nepal's U-19 team. A lot of expectations from Bangladesh, here they start in a good way. Overall, the young Tigers have been doing quite well, while the national team of Bangladesh is doing poorly. There are some players who cannot perform on the national stage due to the large amount of difficulty associated with reaching the national team and the management's inability to take proper care of all players. Bangladesh's board needs to pay special attention to these players.
I would say Bangladesh team is being destroyed by their board and national team coach. Otherwise, the players who performed well in the Under-19 World Cup, played well for different clubs in the country, why they can not play well in the national team? It is the coach's responsibility to make these players more experienced. Bangladesh coach Russell Domingue is destroying the country's cricket, while the condition of Bangladesh cricket is deteriorating due to some inexperienced and dishonest people in BCB. In a few days, the situation of the team will be like that of Zimbabwe.

Looks like I agree with you. Bangladesh cricket is being destroyed because of their internal strife. The coach's relationship with the senior players of the team is not good. Although the team has not improved in a long time, we have not seen any change in the board or management. Talented players are slowly getting lost. The board is not taking any steps to bring them back. The board has yet to find a replacement for senior players like Tamim, Shakib and Mushfiqur who will retired very soon. I am annoyed to see the matches of Bangladesh players and the strange activities of their board.

I feel there is a similar problem with the WI side and SL side. The performance of these two teams has also gone down drastically. New players are not that good enough as senior players. Coach for both the team has not done anything for the team and there is no proper coordination with the team. Board for both these team are just sitting idle and doing nothing.

2 big test matches are starting on 26th right after Christmas and I am excited for both of them. One of them is basically the decider for Ashes 2021 between Australia and England and I feel like England will win or draw the match.

The other match is being played between India and South Africa and I am expecting India to whitewash South Africa on their turf based on my research.

LOL... after such pathetic performance from England, you still expect them to win? You sure that you are not being overly optimistic? And I would say the same for India vs South Africa as well. The tracks are going to be bouncy, and supportive of seam bowling. I heard that Nortje is injured, but there is no dearth of pace bowling talent in South Africa. Still, it would be interesting to see how the South African batsmen fare against the Indian seamers (especially Quinton de Kock, Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram).
We've seen a one-sided game so far during the Ashes series. Australia is the top choice to win. India doesn't have the best record when traveling to South Africa. But, India can definitely win this time in South Africa if they follow the basics properly without overreaching. The numbers are certainly not ones that the Indian team is proud of, but there is a chance that they can be improved this time around.
Australia will play better, because they're free to go for batting and bowling as the team doesn't have pressure as England. Because, England team is in compulsion to mark a win.

India vs South Africa doesn't look to be big rivalry as the match between India and Pakistan. However there is less chance of a whitewash by India.

Another factor that is helping the Australian side is home pitch benefit, they know how their pitch works. With the English side, there is a lot of problems but especially the batting order. The whole side is dependent on the performance of two players. The bowlers are helpless if the batters are unable to score runs.
3327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you trade your crypto on: December 23, 2021, 11:12:06 PM
I do not trade a lot but in general, I will buy and sometimes sell depending on the market condition. I basically use my local exchange for buying and selling as they deal in local fiat currency. I had to go through KYC as it is mandatory in my country but I do not want to do KYC for international exchanges like Binance, so I have skipped it.
3328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the NFTs on: December 23, 2021, 11:08:34 PM
As the year 2021 is coming to an end what is the future for the new rave of the moment NFTs which seems to have taken over the cryptocurrency market in 2021 as the new year 2022 is coming and a lot of projects coming up what do we expect to see in the coming year will NFTs continue to drive or a new wave is coming?

looks like NFT is still pretty good prospects . because lately even people outside of crypto users are interested in the metaverse. and maybe later there will be a good project. which involves crypto as well. I haven't seen any trend better than NFT or metaverse for now.

NFT hype is still active and pumping. I came across a project a month back on the Ethereum blockchain. Those JPG's were all would out in just half an hour. Price was 0.03E but the transaction fee was very high still they were sold in just half an hour. Now those are being sold for 0.1E on Opensea. I am searching for a good project on Solana as the transaction fee is very less if compared with Ethereum.
3329  Local / India / Re: India's crypto bill might not get discussed in the current winter session on: December 23, 2021, 10:34:59 PM
It seems the Indian government is looking for wider consultations before zeroing down on the crypto bill. I have read a similar news today morning but unable to find it now. If it is true, I would say it is positive because if the government wants to ban it, they will do it anyway. But it's positive that they are trying to listen to the industry stakeholders before making a final call.

In the meantime, RBI governor is still lobbying against crypto as expected!
The problem government will be facing as I always say would be enforcement of this bill that they have drafted, if they are thinking of a complete ban, it's extremely difficult to create such a thing. Especially if they are planning to ban only the private key wallets transactions, because it's certainly impossible to find who is making which transaction using his wallet so technically law becomes useless, you are allowing trading on exchanges, which is already regulated even without any law, you are banning something which you know you just can't trace. I think this might be the biggest question government must be having in mind.

I do not think that the government will impose a complete ban on the private wallet. In my opinion, they would put some kind of monetary slab like up to such amount can be kept in the private wallet and the rest has to be on an exchange. What about dust in the wallet can I be punished if I have dust in my wallet?

@Sithara007 the thing I’m interested to see is if the main player’s of these teams will travel to Pakistan or will they send their reserve player’s to play, but whichever happens it’s a positive step for Pakistan. Also you’re right I don’t think Asia cup is an important tournament now, and maybe it’ll be eventually scrapped due to less demand for it.

Doesn't matter whether there main players or reserve players come to Pakistan. The point is Aus team is coming to Pakistan and if CA is concerned about security of there players then they will not send there reserve players also. Since security of reserve players is equally important. If CA is coming to Pakistan then rest of countries will also come.

Let them first come, they always cancel it suddenly without any prior notice. Yes, you are correct it does not matter whether the reserve players are coming or the main players, they are basically representing their country. I am still not confident that this series will happen. Australia has cancelled many tournaments in the past because of the COVID surge. They might again use the same tactics because of the new variant.
3331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 22, 2021, 11:37:15 PM

Australia are in habit of winning with big margins. Last time they whitewashed England was in 2013/14 5-0 and the way things are going I am sure Australians have worked hard for 5-0 this time also. 2019 Ashes was balanced, as both sides won 2 matches and one game was draw. Before Series England was favorite but during the series odds went in favour of Australia.
It rain does not come in play in rest of the matches then I can see another 5-0 win for Australia. England batting is very poor I would say and their bowling is not that good enough to cover their batting performance. England bowlers concede way to many runs and batsman not even able to reach the follow on target .

Before Series they have big claims but right now only malan/root are clicking in there entire line up. There runs are not adequate to give some chance to English bowlers. There was big news when squad was announced that Stokes is available for ashes but so far he is a complete failure.

Meanwhile NZ has announced its squad for 2 test against Bangladesh. There is a big surprise (to me at least), Ajaz Patel who recently made a historic record by picking 10 wickets in an inning against India is dropped.

I think they have dropped Ajaz Patel because they are confident that they will easily win this series with Bangladesh without him or they might try someone else this time. In my opinion, they should have given this guy another opportunity this would have helped him to gain more experience and make some more improvement.

Pakistan is a significant market for cricket coverage, but for the BCCI it doesn't matter. They are happy with whatever revenues they receive from within India and western nations. Also, the BCCI understands that the participation of Pakistani players is a life changer for the PCB, but not that much of a priority for the Indian board. The BCCI recently auctioned two teams for close to $2 billion. A few million USD in potential revenue from Pakistan is not going to change their mind about the player participation.

That's very much true. BCCI don't wanna give any financial benefit to PCB also and for that they can bear small loss by not having any sort of relations with PCB. India influence in cricket greatly increased since the start of IPL, its a big market. Just like Ashes everyone wanna see Pakistan and India playing against each other. I wish they can separate cricket from politics.

You cannot blame BCCI for hitting the jackpot and starting IPL at the right time. PCB could have also done that before BCCI but they were busy with internal politics and corruption. You have to create opportunities and not wait for one to come. Most board followed the BCCi way by starting their own version of IPL and none of them have succeded.

Pretty sure same thing happened last time too, when market turns cold they be like, people will automatically leave it lmao

Absolutely that is the mentality of the Indian government but they seem to forget that not all leave the market and with the current hype in gamefi and socialfi a lot of Indians are joining and making some good money. The trend has changed a lot, not everyone is trading or holding cryptocurrency like they used to do earlier.
3334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with a potential like the Ethereum. on: December 21, 2021, 11:59:27 PM
I see their portfolio is almost the same as the movement or path of ethereum, namely Solona and Plkadot, but I mentioned 2 coins that according to many people have good potential even though they are not comparable to the great potential possessed by Ethereum.

Solana and Polkadot are two coins that have had a lot of development and are also very good pumps, so in general they are both very good and it wouldn't be wrong to put them in everyone's portfolio including you too.

I would recommend another two apart from these two which is Matic and BSC. Matic has got a lot of potentials and many new projects have started using its infrastructure. BSC is more centralized but the only advantage is that it is an exact copy of Ethereum and the transaction fee, as well as speed, is far cheaper & better than Eth. More and more projects are now shifting from the Ethereum blockchain and moving into BSC.

If a bill has been already prepared why will the Indian government go for another round of consultation? They did consult it with some big name of the crypto community before the bill was being prepared and presented to the parliament. Those are just speculation created by the media in order to increase viewership and increase visits. They have been doing such things since 2018.
3336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 21, 2021, 11:31:52 PM
England's team for white ball cricket is already strong both in t20 and one day format their team in amongst the best.
But in test matches their performance is going down too much. Their batting line up largely depends upon root and may be stokes. Apart from these two none of the batsman has performed consistently. Their opening combination is also not settled.
Let's not forget the fact that the Australians are having home advantage. Playing at home, Australia is almost invincible. On top of that, they have top players like Smith, Labuschagne, Starc and Cummins. On the other side, there is no stability in England team. Their openers are not in form, and the same can be said about their spinners and middle order. The absence of Archer is hurting them, and Ben Stokes is yet to return to full form. Australia is up by 2-0, and I won't be surprised if the series ends at 5-0.
We all know before this series what is going to happen with England because their performance against India at home was not good, and they were going to face Australia in Australia with they are having services of some top ranked players currently in test world.

Still many were feeling England is going to have some very good but this all was in media or on papers in reality they were really crap with no good batsman and just two bowlers those have not enough back up but still they are doing some better and batsmen are completely outclassed which is big concern at the time. Let's watch now how they plan and complete this tour because surely they are going to lose by whitewash.

There is something lacking in this English side and as for me is the batting capability. The whole team is dependent on two players and the lower middle order is a big-time mess. Last two test matches only root and Malan were able to stick to the wicket as long as they can after they were out the whole batting order got crumbled in just a few hours. The lack of experience can be another reason for such a performance by the English side.
3337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 20, 2021, 11:28:01 PM
Another poor performance from England specially inthe batting department. Their batting line up collapses again and again just after the wicket of root fells. Their batting unit is not able to perform as a team. Today butler showed some resistant but that was not enough. Looking like a whitewash to me this series if rain done not spoil any of the matches  .

England should plan for the long term. Otherwise, they can now focus on winning the next World Cup without worrying about the Test format. If the players practice accordingly, they may be able to perform well in the World Cup. After the World Cup they can make a successful team selection for the Test format. They badly need some experienced opener.

I will still say that this English team is not that bad, they are far better than their predecessor. In my opinion, they lack the skills and experience to play test cricket. Australia has won the recent WC there morale is high and have players who have played all kinds of formats in cricket. With three more matches left in this series, the English side can still come back.
3338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFX: The Next Big Thing After NFT on: December 19, 2021, 10:32:59 AM
NFT is still booming because of the hype. Considering the present crypto market if you check the NFT marketplace the price of some are going up and people are crazy about those projects. The next big thing will be metaverse and gaming in this domain. In my opinion, It is a never-ending hype and many more new projects in this space are coming up which are pretty much never heard of.

You are not the only one there are many here who have been scammed in the same manner. That is why you should respond to DMs on telegram and discord. You should never receive calls on telegram unless you know that particular individual. Scammers nowadays impersonate IDs and straight away call which makes it hard for anyone to check the ID. Beware of such new tacts by scammers and always stay safe.
3340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 19, 2021, 08:54:42 AM
Australia have lost 4 wickets scoring the first 100 runs of the second innings. More 100 runs will add them to a lead of 436 runs. Possibly Australia will declare with that giving opportunity for England. In the history of test cricket, the highest run chase is 418. This shows how difficult and the narrow chances of a chase by England.
If Australia can collect 4386runs, it will be enough for them to win. As good as the Australian bowlers are, at the same time the England batsmen are now completely irregular. With more than 400 runs targets, the match will remain under Australian control. England's players do not seem to have the capacity to score more than 400 runs at the moment.
I don't think Australia are fully interested in playing two session today. Seeing the batting of Travis Head, I think so. He may have forgotten it was a Test match. He collected 51 runs from 49 balls. He has hit 7 boundaries. Now Austreia is ahead by 380 runs. They will probably play half of the second season.

Australia declared their innings after losing 9 wickets. They scored 230 runs in the second innings. They gave England a huge target of 468 runs. I don't see the possibility of England winning. However, if the opening pair is able to collect more than 150, then maybe England can win. But I don't trust their openers. Within 50 runs, maybe two openers will return to the dressing room.

They have already lost one opener and there might be another tomorrow. This match has also slipped away from England they are struggling and especially in batting. Neither the openers are in form nor the lower middle order. The whole team is dependent on Malan and Root. If this continues they will lose all the matches in this series.
