4241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Uphold a good app to store XRP? I am from the US. on: January 02, 2021, 03:28:22 AM
I have been using uphold to get BAT payment from Brave. I use both their web wallet and their app. I generally get them in the wallet keep them for a month or so and then transfer them to a local exchange. I have not faced any major issue untill now. I had a small issue of not being able to transfer BAT few months back and it was solved promptly with the help of Uphold support.

I still would not recommend you to hold your XRP for a long duration on a web wallet or a mobile wallet. If you want to hold them for just a month or so then Uphold is good.
4242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Season still possible? on: January 02, 2021, 03:16:21 AM
If Bitcoin performs the same way like it did last month, this month too then I do not think the altcoin season will start.

Few negative news now days does not affect the market. There are other major alts that will dominate when alt season will start.
The current scenario of the market is very different to what it was in 2018 hence, we need to wait some more time for the altseason to start.
4243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins/s do you think will trigger the alt season? on: January 01, 2021, 06:44:59 AM
Altcoins can pump when Bitcoin starts trading side ways. It can happen anytime this month. In my opinion there are a few altcoins that can pump, one of them is surely Ethereum, the next in my opinion would be DeFi based project like YFI. Exchange tokens like BNB have shown the could easily reach more than $40 as few days back BNB reached it ATH of $39.

I just hope that the NSW government can get the virus outbreak under control because it could risk the fourth test match being delayed as the Queensland government have closed its borders to NSW. So I really don't understand why they even had to have the test match played in Sydney when it could of been played in Melbourne again. Anyway lets hope that all is safe for this upcoming test match and that we have a great match.
I was looking forward to this match. Now that the match has been postponed due to the epidemic, it is sad news for us. Because the series is now tied at 1-1. The next match will be very exciting and competitive. India will want to win the series. And Australia will not want to lose any more matches in the series. I hope the situation will be normal, and the match will be held on time.

Oh! That is bad news, after the last match I was waiting for this match. I never thought that things will turn such bad due to the pandemic. Both teams have been playing really well and I had the opinion that the third test would be a close encounter. But, health is first, any news till when the match has been postponed?

In my opinion the bad happened in the physical world and the good happened in the virtual world. 2020 has taught us what family means and how to stay mentally healthy, when you are stuck in your house for more than 90 days. For me there was a lot of learning from 2020 and I expect 2021 to be much better for me and this community. Stay safe and stay healthy.
4246  Other / Politics & Society / Re: TODAY THEY WERE FORCED TO ADMIT THAT 'COVID-19' DOES NOT EXIST on: December 31, 2020, 05:55:31 AM
On that same site, top right, you can click the link:

Vitamin D could have prevented 90% of coronavirus deaths

I will not go into whether the coronavirus exists or not.

What I will say is that high levels of vitamin D strengthen the immune system. People with high levels rarely get colds or the flu. Anyone can check this out with a simple Internet search but you won't see it on the front pages of newspapers or in news stories promoted by Big Pharma. Mostly because vitamin D is cheap as a supplement and it's free to sunbathe.

There have also been several studies on coronatirus in this regard in the same vein. But it seems that it is more important to sell vaccines and for Big Pharma to make many millions.

PS: A daily dose of 2,000 IU is not a high dose, as some study promoted by Big Pharma tries to make us believe. And it's not so much the dose that's important as the blood levels.

The website itself is a scam it does not even have an SSL certificate and by posting such views they want to create a unique identity of themselves. There are so many fake information being circulated by them about this pandemic that I think they are trying to get followers by using reverse  psycology and promoting fake agenda.

Everyone wants be a miner these days. Bitcoin miners are currently earning $1,000,000 per hour.
Anyone who knows miners to earn this much and the fact that, mining actually awards you with some bit coins would surely want to be a miner. It's a dream much beginners in bitcoin and cryptos often have from the on set, until they know what is required as per gadgets, resources and how mining actually works. A realization of these facts lives one to pursue other careers in cryptocurrency.
As other popular cryptocurrencies move from POW to POS consensus it is now more profitable to stake than mine. Mining requires large investment whereas POS consensus enabled cryptos only requires you to buy a certain amount of that cryptocurrency then hold it in a compatible wallet. I find staking more profitable than mining. I would not recommend anyone to pursue Bitcoin mining as it is no longer profitable.
4248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance.US is going to suspend XRP trading and deposit on: December 31, 2020, 05:31:12 AM
This was meant to happen after Coinbase almost all US exchanges are delisting XRP. Time for XRP holders to get out of this mess before it is too late. Ripple is getting rekt everyday, while the market remains green. After Binance US delisting there will be nothing left of XRP.
4249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No 2FA and robbed of 0.097BTC on: December 31, 2020, 05:15:41 AM
Sorry to hear about your loss, it is true scammers are now becoming a pain. Every website now recommend 2FA and it is a good practice to activate it. The thing is that you always learn it the hard way. Malware are a big issue it is better to activate an antivirus to scan those malware in your computer.
4250  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake Twitter watch out on: December 30, 2020, 04:22:12 AM
Seems that's its super easy to get verified these days or there's an increasing amount of "plugs" offering to verify people for a fee. I thought Twitter, and other social medias considered verification very serious, and only verified high profile people. I can see why some people would fall for this in combination of the verified tick. Its probably always worth making sure you follow the official sources, by going through their official website, and clicking their social media link.

I do not think this is a verified profile. All verified profile will have a blue tick mark bothe in Twitter and Facebook. This one does not have a Blue tick it is white. I think he created this Binance logo with a White tick mark.

It is not at all easy to get a verified profile these days only people and organisation who are significantly important are given these blue ticks.
4251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eth 2.0 is this the end of bitcoin? on: December 30, 2020, 04:15:17 AM
I see the Ethereum ecosystem outperforming Ethereum itself in the future because of DeFi. For example YFI is more valued then ETH. So the chance of Ethereum dethroning Bitcoin is negligible.

Another reason why Bitcoin cannot be dethroned is its popularity. People identify cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin and not Ethereum or any other altcoin.

Hey@Dave1 thanks for the heads up.

It is always advised to check url address before logging into any website with your credentials. That is the reason most exchanges ask you check the url before you enter your username and password.

Beware scammers are everywhere and you are responsible for your money.
4253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 30, 2020, 03:19:04 AM
Would like to see the faces of all those people who expected a whitewash after the 1st test match. People love jumping to conclusions without thinking things through.

Am expecting India and Australia to win another match each and end this series in a draw. Just a random assumption.

And regarding Natarajan, I want him to be a part of the test squad. But the problem is that the selectors don't want him. He is a competitor to Saini/Siraj, who have powerful backers.
Natarajan still has a long way to go. A couple of good performances are not enough to include him in the test squad. For example, many famous test players were selected in the test format after a long period of time.
Gill was the first positive thing that changed the match to the Indian side to be honest because he is striking the balls more which helped the scoreboard ticking s other players were not in hurry to make their runs. Then better team performance in the batting compared to their worst ever performance which just happened in their previous match. Jaddu another man who came in and stole a place for him in the remaining matches.

For me it was Gill, Jadeja and Rahane who were responsible for the second test win. Plus the fielding on Indian side did improve from the previous test. Bowlers from both side bowled brilliantly but indian batsmen changed the game.
4254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't buy what you can't hodl. on: December 29, 2020, 09:22:51 AM
Any kind of Investment is a risk. The only way to overcome that risk is to have patience but investing your money into a crap project will always result in failure even if you have patience. Therefore always do a proper research before doing any type of Investment.

Mayank Agarwal has now made a total of 31 runs from 4 innings so far in this series.
The Indian team management is most focused on Mayank Agarwal in this series. Everyone thought that Agarwal might be the opener of India team in the future. But he has so far failed miserably. He has scored only 31 runs in 4 innings in 2 Test matches. So far he is not fully ready for the Indian national team.

I think both Agarwal and Shaw are over hyped. They both were paired by the Indian management to open the batting but both have failed miserably and I do not think they will get another chance after this series.
4256  Economy / Speculation / Re: I doubt Bitcoin will dip below 20k again on: December 27, 2020, 04:20:48 AM
No one can predict what will happen next with Bitcoin. Looking at the present trend and the amount of money being invested it will go up but it will also go down as there are investors who will be booking profits. But, it is hard to say where will it land when it goes into red.
4257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitwise Sells XRP Holdings as Ripple Faces a New Lawsuit on: December 27, 2020, 04:09:13 AM
Bitwise sells XRP holdings as Ripple faces a new lawsuit https://crypto.co/technology/bitwise-sells-xrp-holdings-as-ripple-faces-a-new-lawsuit/. What do you think about this move made by Bitwise? We can see that Ripple (XRP) is showing some recovery since yesterday, will it continue to not?

What recovery are you referring too? Ripple is being dumped even when the whole market is in green the only coin that is in red is Ripple. It is down by 3 percent today and it will remain like this because it falls under the category of shitcoins.

10 Teams IPL is about to come in 2022 season.

They should have done this from IPL 2021 onward. I always thought that 8 was too low. In England they have 18, and there is no reason why India shouldn't have the same number of teams, as the player pool is comparatively much larger. Anyway, 10 will do for now. But they need to increase the limit on overseas players to 5 per team, and remove the salary cap.

Few months back IPL 2020 ended and in just a couple of month IPL 2021 will start. It will be too early for these two new teams to get everything done. Therefore they will start from 2022 because of time constraints.

India took the honours on day 1 bowling Australia out for under 200. Like I said in a previous post before the match started that there was a tinge of green in this pitch and it showed with the great bowling performance by Bumrah. Now India need to keep this momentum going with the bat today but I think we will see rain delays maybe as its not looking too good right now as its overcast and they do expect rain later in the day.

The 4th wicket partnership has so far added 48 runs and this has given the advantage to India. At one point, they were struggling at 64/3, but the partnership between Hanuma Vihari and Ajinkya Rahane has rescued them. But still there is a long way to go for India. They should target a total of 300 plus, which should give them a lead in excess of 100 runs.

A target of 300 can only be achieved if this partnership continues though out today but unfortunately Bihari has left and now Jadeja needs to be there till the end.
4260  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fees - top 3 best choices for lowest fees? on: December 26, 2020, 04:29:44 AM
What I do is to first check memepool.space first. It provides the real time information of the fee that will get your transaction confirmed. Then I use a non custodial wallet like Mycelium to check what is the normal fee that it is showing. I then calculate what I can afford  to pay and then make my transfer. There still no guarantee that after all of these your transaction will get confirmed the same day. It all depends on the Bitcoin network if it's conjugated you will have to wait or pay the higher fee.
