Yes I am a Muslim yes I am from the deepest of the deepest place in the Muslim world and yes toilet paper is very foreign to us, Now for the other readers instead of the "EwwwEwww". Listen to this story: One time I was in Thailand going out with a group of friends and one of them was from the Netherlands. We literally talked for ten minutes about shitting. He was telling me how an amazing experience it was for him to use the floor seating toilet. Thai people know how it aligns the lower colon. Also he was amazed by the idea of the bidet. But also how toilet paper was still important to wipe whatever was stuck in between the cheeks and well some of us are hairy down there and needs the friction of the paper. We settled the conversation that the combination of Toilet paper, Bidet and floor seating is the cleanest best experience that will leave you feeling "clean" and refreshed. Moral of the story? Most of us don't even know how to shit properly. We will learn when we have the balls to actually discuss shitting. People shit differently in the this world. The way we sit, How to clean and what do we use to clean our behind. It is mazing how this did not progress and I think it is because we all kinda "ashamed" of something so natural and so basic as the "call of nature". Now back to you my friend, redsn0w: All this came from one thing that the prophet Mohammad said. And he said it only once. I think it is pretty obvious and whoever would think it is a restriction needs to calm down and actually listen. What he said is the following: "When you have to go to the empty land, Use water to clean yourself. If you cannot find any, Find any leafs, if you cannot find any, Use stones to wipe". Empty land is an old polite arab way of saying -Going to answer the nature's call- To me that means dude, clean your ass after you shit. Find the best way that would be cleaner but if you can't seek another and another, just CLEAN after you are done. For some, and I still can't see why, they think that it means NO, use only water.. but f you can't then siiigh.... hmmm...shiiiit.... yes yes allright I guess you can use toilet paper..... I don't like it though.... but yeah you can...... If someone here think it meant that, then you sir are an EPIC idiot. I'm sure the cop would say anything to cover his ass, shooting that guy running away in the back is one of the most cowardly things I've ever seen. There's no way the cop could have felt threatened it that situation, at very most he could have fired just a warning shot. More importantly it is illegal to shoot some one in the back as they are running away in most states (if not all) because it demonstrates clearly they were not in an active attempt of attacking you (the only legal reason to shoot some one unless in defense of another life). cop's saying the guy took his taser and shot him with it, evidence still looks pretty daming either way
Even if that is the case, the cop shouldn't have shot the victim. Tasers are rarely fatal. The policemen should have chased the victim and caught him instead of just shooting him. I believe they receive training for these sort of incidents before they join the police force. One thing I don't understand is, why shoot the guy 8 god damn times. Even if he did have a taser, which he did not. I watched the video and Jamba is right the cop plants the taser on him. But seriously the guy is running away, if you did have to shoot why not leg him or shoot him once? Why unload a clip into the guy? Even if he had a taser the guy is like 25+feet and running wouldnt a single shot do the job? I used to know a former cop. You know what he told me? If you have to use your gun in self defense, make sure you empty the clip into them and they are dead. People who survive are witnesses, and witnesses send you to jail or sue you. Dead people don't. This is why when they kill people, they turn them into Swiss cheese, not just disable them. Are you really serious? Is this their work system? So when they shoot they must always kill a person instead to 'stop' him (for example with a shoot to the leg). Another country that I should not visit :/. |

So unless you are a business that openly accepts Bitcoin, How exactly do they plan to enforce this? Would the businesses just using it as a gateway (Through BitPay, Just existing 100% to cash) are supposed to pay taxes twice? for the cash income and Bitcoin?
No I don't think they will tax twice, because the merchant will receive FIAT money (dollars) through a bank transfer and not bitcoin so they cannot tax him because he "never" touched bitcoin. Maybe I am wrong, but I think this is a valid supposition. |

What is this nonesense? I have been using toilet paper since I was a kid. It is not a "restriction". It is just hygiene tips. And since when toilet paper was a better choice than a bidet (That if some idiots here still think Muslims think they should use one and prohibited from the other or a combination of both.)

I propose a purchasing agreement, which mandates every state in the World to buy a certain amount of Bitcoin every year. The amount will be coupled to the country's respective GDP and could be something along the lines of 0.001%-0.01% of it. The states have to hold on to their purchased coins for a given amount of time until they can invest them again.
Which other rules and what conditions and timeframes for selling off the coins do you suggest should be implemented?
Do you remember that it is a decentralised technology, why put this strictly rules? Everyone can buy and sell how much bitcoin he wants, and this is how bitcoin is better than other currency. Sorry but I don't support your idea. |

I don't think alts will pay the amount. They obviously want to raise the price not to be winner. See the post above yours. If someone of "his" hipotetical alt will win the auction he can send the money (to himself) and try again to resell that thing another time (with another alt account). So it is possible to simulate a win, and it will not exist a real solution of this problem. |

Cold storage means you should never let your private key to be online. If your private key connected to internet, you are not absolutely safe. This is not 100 percent true. It means it is stored offline. But you can use a computer that is not a web surfing computer to load it and fill up your hot wallet if needed. You do try to make sure to use it as less as possible. And keep offline as much as possible.What does it mean exactly  ? There are only two option : online & offline. You can't keep it offline as much possible, for keep offline a machine/device you should follow these rules: - Don't connect to an internet connection, - Disable the "network card", - Keep the device in a secure place. |

I understand that was how you were asked the question and that it was not you making the Strawman argument. Of course it makes no sense to me because I have many Muslim friends and they have about the same attitude about terrorism as I do. But then I suspect there is a vast difference between relatively secular Muslims in the USA and those in say Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. As I said previously I have also a lot of friend (from a various Religion) and none of them is "by definition" violent/rude and it is normal and obvious that all the religions/faiths don't teach the violence but them teach the peace the interchange between the various religion. So I can say that Islam doesn't hate people. |

There's no reason to suspect it is photoshopped, simply understanding basic science would explain why the MOST SOLIDLY built structure in the vicinity managed to survive while those NOT BUILT TO THE SAME STANDARD as the mosque, were swept away. That close to the ocean, how would you have a good foundation? It's not impossible, say they dug ten meters down and started piling rock up to the surface, then built the mosque. Just unlikely. IF IT'S NOT PHOTOSHOPPED....then let's have the location of that beach and mosque and we'll look at it on Google Earth. Like I said, I haven't believed in it. I will have to research more about it but atm, I am using mobile. Will try to post here about the source of that image and whether the mosque is real etc...
