3361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 03, 2020, 10:30:33 PM
Didn't expect City to have to share points with Leeds United in this match, this was unexpected because Leeds United played quite well throughout the match. Two unsatisfactory result for City in a row are no good and it's a sign they are in trouble. Pep has to do something to get City back to its best rhythm and has to solve the problem. If his defenses were wrong, then he had to quickly find a solution to get the city back on track.
Instead of saying City is bad. I would give credit to the Leeds United Lads. They played their hearts out and tonight's draw wasn't just a fluke. Most of us saw how they played against Liverpool. The Champions barely came out of the match with 3 points. Now that's how good Leeds United has been.

According to skysports, it's rumored that Manchester united are close to signing Edison Cavani  who is currently a free agent for a 2 year contract.
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/12089136/edinson-cavani-manchester-united-in-talks-to-sign-former-psg-forward
Not sure if this would be a good move for United. I guess we shall wait and see.
3363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to cancel transaction on ETH network? on: October 02, 2020, 09:01:06 PM
People before me gave you links to guides, but no one did not mention this. You can only drop transaction that was not confirmed yer but sitting in mempool. Transaction with to low fee to be accepted in block. Once transaction gets in block and is confirmed you cant drop/cancel it anymore.
If OP cared to carefully read through the guide of which link I drop him then he would know what to do since the guide clearly talks about pending transactions. Also, If you also look at OP's question. He's asking about how to cancel pending transactions and not confirmed transactions.
3364  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction is confirmed but need Electrum to confirm transaction? on: October 01, 2020, 06:02:12 AM
That doesn't make much sense. They might be insisting that their wallet sees that it has been confirmed. That would make sense. On the other hand, if their wallet doesn't agree with block explorers, then something might be wrong with their wallet.
... or they might just be playing dumb claiming they have received nothing( yet they already have) in order to scam OP. Sadly the person who wants help hasn't shared the third party site.
3365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to cancel transaction on ETH network? on: October 01, 2020, 05:52:59 AM
There is this very useful guide: [GUIDE] How to cancel or replace an ETH transaction (Metamask, MEW, MyCrypto)  Smiley

3366  Economy / Lending / Re: loans for collateral here come nad take your loan on: September 30, 2020, 07:15:15 AM
I’d like to take. 0.005 btc loan with 0.2 ETH as collateral. My btc address is 33UwaVd5o9YsNEBMA2WxvvdbkM3BpbhbeX
I think it's not a good idea you deal with such a guy. Here's how he can scam you. He gives you 0.005 BTC worth around $50 and you send him ETH worth around $70. He's reputation is already tinted, and he won't care about anything. What if he decides not to return your ETH which is worth $20 more?

3367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin and bitcoin high transaction fees on: September 30, 2020, 04:17:37 AM
It's unfortunate that the people who always complain about the bitcoin transaction fees never look at the bigger picture. Someone just moves BTC worth 20 USD, pays a fee of 2 USD to get the transaction confirmed in 10 minutes and all of a sudden bitcoin fees are super high and transaction so slow at it was the case with OP. They never even pause to think for a minute that one can also move 5 Million USD worth of BTC and still pay the same fee of 2 USD to  get the transaction confirmed at approximately 10 minutes something which is impossible with the conventional payment processors.

You can't move $5 Million or even just $1000 using Paypal or Western Union and get charged only 2 USD in fees. This is totally impossible. OP you need to enlighten yourself  more about bitcoin and it's fees instead of complaining and you will see light

Here is an example
This is the fee you would pay if you made an attempt to move $1000 using paypal

This is the fee someone paid involving a transaction of BTC worth roughly $1000 which has been confirmed a few minutes ago

Sincerely tell me how bitcoin fees are unfair and high?
3368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Questions about transaction fees on: September 28, 2020, 07:41:09 PM
Transaction fee will depend on the congestion and traffic on the network. For now due to high volume of transactions per second try to check binance which I took a screenshot in their site.
https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/14/blob954fc70e597da12e.jpeg
Probably with these high traffic will generate high dand for the miners and since more users wanted fast transaction they will tend to pay high disregard the transaction fee.
The figure in the screenshot is the approximate number of internal transactions in binance exchange due to the buy and sell orders getting filled by different buyers and sellers and not necessarily the transactions on the bitcoin blockchain or any other blockchain.

The process where you place a buy or sell order and you get a coin in exchange for the one you are selling involves an internal transaction or swap in the exchange which is instant

So whenever you wanted to make a small fee from transaction chose a day and time where you can save like others were mentioning about sunday as the best time to make transaction due to low traffic of transaction being made.
This is mostly applicable to bitcoin. For Ethereum the transaction fees have been high even on weekends lately.
3369  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web wallet that support alt coins must include bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold. on: September 27, 2020, 11:36:59 PM
Coinomi is one of the most secure web wallets on the crypto market. This also allow you to set a custom fee for your transactions.
It's not worth commenting about certain things you don't have full knowledge about. First of all from the look of things, you don't seem to know more about the different types of wallets. On top of that Coinomi is a close sourced wallet and you can't trust it 100%

For example sometime back, coinomi was discovered to have a vulnerability where the wallet would send your plain text seed phrase to google's remote spell checker API - https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/av987o/security_vulnerability_coinomi_wallet_sends_your
3370  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Euclideum Ann & Bounty Scam with profile on: September 27, 2020, 08:14:01 PM
This is my first post about scam project's. Hope that all the information is ok. I think bounty manager euclideum need to be permanent banned from bitcointalk community.

Euclideum launched their bounty project around 2 months ago. Website is dead already, but Twitter, Facebook, Telegram running. There is no support, only spam massages. Banned his profile permanently as fast as possible.
The forum does not moderate scam therefore don't expect scammers to be banned. You should instead be careful and stop wasting your time participating in scam bounties and airdrops.

The airdrop was being carried out in a dex which might have as well been owned by the hackers because it's also not accessible at the moment.
Fortunately the airdrop page was archived before it when offline: http://archive.is/YpwK2

I think the scam was all about phishing for the ether address private keys once someone tried to import their wallet to ArchimeDEX in order to claim for the tokens
3371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: September 27, 2020, 03:31:59 AM
i think KYC/AML is okay .now almost every crypto  exchange or wallet is doing kyc. i think which country is allowing to trade crypto they dont need to do it .its must be necessary for those countries they dont permittion to crypto
what do you think

Like anything else, AML/KYC has it's advantages and disadvantages. The most known advantage is that it helps fight suspicious activities like laundering of stolen money and tracking down of criminals. the bad side is that customer's data and documents can easily be leaked and used for other dubious activities.

The idea of using KYC in only Countries that do not restrict crypto trading is not possible in the current situation because people use VPNs and proxies so in most cases the platforms just roll out general KYC verification for all their customers.
3372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any metamask experts? on: September 26, 2020, 08:25:19 PM
If you don't have access to the private key or mnemonic phrase then you are out of luck. Just like the famous quote goes "Not your private keys, not your money" so basically, once you lose your private keys/mnemonic phrase, you have lost your money.
3373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hacker blackmailing me and ask for money. Did you also get this email? on: September 26, 2020, 08:13:42 PM
And always keep safe your password. Don’t use your one password more than one place.
I would like to echo what OP just said here. I was a victim once.  Using the same password for different sites looks cool until there's a data breach in one of the websites and the hacker publishes the login details in a public  forum. That's when hell breaks loose.

This is the current state of the weak old password is used to use.

3375  Other / Meta / Re: How long does avatar caching last? on: September 25, 2020, 10:34:18 AM
So my question is, is the time that the old avatar is cached for indeterminate, or does it really take a few seconds to update, which means it was just a glitch in my browser?
My latest avatar took over an hour to update. I think the time varies but I doubt if it's a glitch. It shouldn't be a big deal.

Dear Jerometash,

Unfortunately, we cannot influence the creation of new tokens using the GOLD ticker. Now there are many scammers who are trying to sell newly created tokens under the guise of our tokens. If you notice that our logos, information or something else used not correctly, please report that. We'll try to contact with the developers of the websites and talk about that.

3377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc transaction fee is way too much and btc transactions are way too slow on: September 24, 2020, 11:27:37 PM
Can you transfer $10M for only a fee of $4 or less using your Fiat money transfer systems?

This transaction took place about 30 minutes ago

Wake me up when you have proof that this is possible with fiat systems and banks otherwise stop moaning about bitcoin fees yet in actual sense they are low and fair.
3378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 24, 2020, 10:47:50 PM
I started watching the match from the second half and was surprised with 1-1, I expected some 3 or maybe 4 goals for Bayern. Anyway Bayern was dominating the game by far, rare attacks from Sevilla, many threats from Bayern which failed to score then once it is extra time I was confident Bayern gonna make it.
Bayern this season is like: it is mine all mine!
They have to win it all when they still can because such chances come once in a while.
Sevilla had some nice opportunities but Neuer one again was on top of his game. Sevilla are also very unlucky when it comes to the European Super Cup. They now have 5 defeats. The worst in the competition
3379  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable Wallet on: September 23, 2020, 11:28:22 PM
By the way, you can use any ERC20 token with Unstoppable wallet if you know its contract address.

How to:
Just press Add Coin button, then Add Token button on top left corner, then choose ERC20 from menu, then paste contract address.
Suggestion concerning this. Very many newbies will find this process a little challenging as I also faced it about 3 years back when i just got to know about crypto and was using Myetherwallet which uses the same procedure.

Why don't you guys make everything automatic and show the tokens in the wallet when they are sent to it?
I  have seen a number of wallets do this such as imtoken, metamask etc. Maybe you can pick a leaf from them on how they do it  Wink
That can ensure a smooth process for newbies using your wallet

Confirmed

Luis Suarez off to Atlético Madrid
According to Goal.com a few minutes ago

Quote
Barcelona have confirmed that Luis Suarez has joined Atletico Madrid after the two Spanish sides came to terms on a deal for the Uruguayan star.

Atleti will pay Barca €6 million (£5.5m/$7m) to acquire the striker, who departs Camp Nou after six seasons with the club.

Quote
"FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Luis Suárez. The Madrid club will pay FC Barcelona 6 million euros in variables," the club announced.
Source: https://www.goal.com/en-ug/news/suarez-swaps-barca-for-atletico-madrid-in-6-million-deal/1tsip603ktw92zpjguzh0wuos

€6 million? For a player of Suarez's Caliber?  Grin
I know Suarez is 33 years old but that's a steal on Atlético Madrid's side folks. That isn't even a tenth of what Juvetus paid for 33-year-old Ronaldo. He's capable of scoring 15 goals+ even at that age.
