3361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: November 20, 2021, 11:29:00 AM
kick off time finally after waiting for so long for this weekends clash of Premier League football. first game is between Leicester and Chelsea and it's my sincere desire that Leicester though they have not been super this season, can make full use of the home advantage and either get a draw with Chelsea or better still claim all three points to reduce Chelsea's lead on the EPL table.
3362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 20, 2021, 04:15:33 AM
The Ausburg-Bayern game has really torn some betting slips and rendered them useless. A friend of mine who bet big on Bayern to win considering that Ausburg was 16th on the bundesliga table is devastated that Bayern did not and his money is gone. Who could have thought so??? Big tip for anyone betting on today's games, during your analysis of who to bet on, remember that players just came back from the international break and anything can happen.
3363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 19, 2021, 08:14:49 PM
Bayern is already having 13 points over Borussia so I think the Championship in Germany is already over as I simply cannot see Bayern to lose the title anymore so I guess they can afford to lose against Augsburg.

I know all teams at one point experience defeat in football, so i can't say i am too surprised at this result so far, however could there be a possibility that this bayern team are just deciding to give away this game to help the Ausburg side, else why are they not showing any hunger to win like the Bayern we know. Can they really bounce back from the result, come from behind and maybe get a draw or win eventually?
3364  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and non-formal workers on: November 19, 2021, 03:09:24 AM
I guess OP has drawn rough analysis from the people around him, and i can quiet say that the same is the case for individuals around me as well, that is the bulk of individuals with an interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrency are those not necessarily without a formal education, but those without formal high paying jobs. There is a high rate of unemployment and poverty in my country, people have been forced to become entrepreneurs and small business owners, the money realised sometimes from business and entrepreneurship may not be sufficient to create the dream life that one dreams of, so there is the motivation to seek for more opportunities, and bitcoin creates such to level the playing field with those that have high paying formal jobs who already have a better life, and not necessarily considering or seeking opportunities elsewhere.

There is also another perspective to view this, that is you will have less formal office people in bitcoin trading particularly because the job they already have steals their time, and they may not have the time to monitor the market.
3365  Economy / Economics / Fiat banks and the government. on: November 19, 2021, 01:24:19 AM
A recent situation in my country where the banks have been instructed to block accounts related/associated with crypto trading has prompted me to start thinking if these banks are actually happy carrying out government policies against their customers, because some of them seem not too happy about it but look to have little or no choice on the matter.

Can the banks challenge the policies from the government? Are the banks working for the people or the government? is there any possibility that banks can operate freely entirely from government policies?

3366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be safe from scammers on: November 18, 2021, 04:40:31 PM
I believe scammers are primarily targeting newbies who they are new to the Cryptocurrency space and can be easily brainwashed and defrauded.

Almost anyone can fall victim to scammers online, scammers are in various categories, with some having developed very believable strategies that if caught off guard maybe as a result of an emotional state or a moment's carelessness, you can easily be swindled off your currency, crypto or fiat. A defence mechanism to develop is to always put at the back of your mind and consider yourself a target to both online and offline scammers, with such a consciousness developed, extra care on your part is sure to follow.
3367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: November 18, 2021, 04:26:12 PM
"Is it safe to buy now?" is a question that is bound to fuel many replies each person having their own unique reason for either telling you to buy or not to buy. A question like that is a sensitive question and at the end of every reply, IMO one should always be quick to point out that their reasons are personal and not in any way should be considered as a financial advice, to avoid being blamed for loss of ones portfolio.
3368  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion in our society on: November 17, 2021, 09:13:38 PM
why can't religion reduce the rate of crimes in our society?
Religion as a practice just as you have said does not completely eradicate self and one's nature/attributes. The practice of true religion, just helps to put these attributes under a check. Unfortunately, many do not practice true religion and their true nature that has been set either genetically or environmentally induced, has not been put under check and they only just hide under the the cover of being religious.
3369  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon -- Milton Friedman on: November 17, 2021, 02:52:21 AM
It's damn hard right now to buy cat food at the grocery store in any quantity that my kitties like, so something's definitely wrong with moving product from manufacturer to store shelves.
I think even manufacturers are having a hard time procuring materials for production. The pandemic has contributed truly to an extent in disrupting the supply chain and free flow of materials from field to manufacturer's industry. Even some of the recent government policies in various countries have also threatened the availability of work force, and free flow of raw materials from country to country. As a result, reduced quantity in supply and increased price for commodity must set in.

3370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 15, 2021, 06:06:28 PM
I'm waiting to see the outcome from Northern Ireland vs Italy tonight. I think the world cup will not be complete without the presence of the Italians, however a win in this game with lots of goals is most important to ensure that they scale past Switzerland who will be playing Bulgaria to have a world cup campaign. I hope they will be able to soak up the pressure to win and play decent football with Northern Ireland who can put a good performance. I tip Italy to win tonight's encounter by three goals to two;
Northern Ireland (2) vs Italy (3)
3371  Economy / Gambling discussion / A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 15, 2021, 11:06:08 AM
From self evaluation and the evaluation of a few gamblers around me, i have observed that over time due to gambling activity, some characters worthy of emulation have been unconsciously developed by some.

Some of the characters that i have observed from the life of a few core gamblers around me and myself are;

-Development of Risk taking ability; to win big in life, you must be willing to try, and gamblers have so developed their risk taking ability.

-Development of the ability to quickly let go of things and move on; Dwelling on the past and the possibility of "what could have been" is really not healthy and it can weigh you down and distract you from "what can be". Though not so easy, gamblers have developed this ability to easily look ahead from the "near win" of yesterday, to try again today.

-Positive mentality (that is always believing that everyday we gamble, it may just be our lucky day for the big win).

- Consistency/ Not quiting attitude; Always trying regardless of  previous results.

If you see yourself as a gambler, i implore you to put yourself in perspective and please share any positive trait that has been developed in your life as a result of gambling.

PS: The purpose of this discussion is not in any way to encourage you to gamble more, but a pointer to show that amidst the dark clouds, there is still a silver lining.
3372  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Role Can I play to Solve the world's problem? on: November 15, 2021, 07:34:12 AM
Now with all these challenges, one will begin to wonder and ponder "Where can I come in to solve these devastating rising issues in our dear World"?

On the first note, the issues in the world can be overwhelming when one thinks about it, it could get depressing if one stays on the thought a bit longer. Almost everyone will tell you that you can start by changing yourself, this is true. But can the changes you make to yourself really make a huge impact on the world? can it stop insecurity, and diseases, can your little act really stop environmental challenges and so on. On your own, you may make an effort but your effort is nothing compared to the actions of those orchestrating the problems. Some problems you mentioned can be addressed, while others like diseases will be difficult to address. For the problems that can be addressed, you can consider gathering a group of people who share same concerns with you, pick a problem that can be addressed, maybe turn it into an NGO, create public awareness. I think you will have a greater chance solving a problem of the world as or with a group, rather than you alone. if there are already existing groups that share your concern and passion, you can join up as well, if the thought of starting your own is too much for you to handle.
3373  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalization and Standardization of Organ Donation on: November 15, 2021, 04:18:40 AM

for the case of organ donation, in countries where there is a "presumed consent law" for organ donation after death like in Spain, France, Norway etc, it is my opinion that more awareness be raised about it, so everyone knows about it and they at least know that they have the choice of opting out if they don't like it. It makes sense that your working organs could be the reason another person is alive after your death, but people should be made to know the concept and reason behind it.

3374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 15, 2021, 03:53:28 AM
I think Portugal can only have themselves to blame as they fumbled their chance over the last two games.

In Portugal's group, where we have Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Ireland & Serbia, i would have easily tipped Portugal for qualification, unfortunately football really has a lot of twist. No one ever expected or saw that last minute goal coming.

Feels bad for Cristiano Ronaldo. Qatar 2022 was supposed to be his final world cup appearance.
Must be a really difficult time for CR7 at the moment, things at both club and country are going unexpected ways for him, we all know how committed he is to National duties and  how he has been dragging the team and making sure to be the difference between Portugal and any other team, unfortunately Serbia really played them down, and his singular performance was not enough this time.

3376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Football Fan tokens and gambling on: November 14, 2021, 12:42:35 PM
I highly doubt it would be a mainstream coin to be used in gambling, it would only probably become a local currency for the fanclub of that certain team to be used by their fans. E.g. fans would receive x amount of tokens for whatever stuff they did, it'd probably be an automated system where fans are automatically given tokens based on what they do for the team, and the tokens can then be used to buy stuff such as jerseys, signatures, etc, that were developed with the theme being the team they support.
I agree with you completely, the fan tokens seem to me as just a reward system to most loyal fans as a way of recognising them and granting them access to certain privileges that most persons without a fan token cannot get, that is privileges depending on the amount of fan tokens that they have accumulated. Such tokens will encourage fans to be more engaged with a team they already love. Maybe with time, they may have extensive uses, but for now, i think that's the ideology behind it.
3377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 14, 2021, 12:27:56 PM
They need to win this game at any cost.

MUFC is suffering from some injury blow at the moment from the international break already, if the players who are selected for the game with Watford decide to give it their all, it will be that they have personal love for Ole and want to keep him, otherwise the players will stick to tactics and instructions from the coach so the outcome will be a true reflection of if Ole is getting better to handle the team or still not.

The Watford - Manchester United game is a very critical one for the Manchester side. It is very important for Solskjaer as it can be a decider for him to stay or go.

There are reports already that MUFC are looking to get Zidane as a possible replacement, if true, it is a pointer already that management have already started making moves to get him off.

3378  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gender-Equality: 2021 on: November 14, 2021, 09:39:35 AM
The message of gender equality is getting stronger as women are fighting for more inclusion, and truth is i think that if these women really put themselves out there more, they may really be an option for the inclusion they seek. However the twist for the gender equality message is that some females are trying to turn it into a situation where they want to be more favoured than males even without qualifications, tipping the scale of equality against men as we have now started to see more men who are unnecessarily marginalized by some new rules that the people who set them claim is to promote equality.
3379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 14, 2021, 07:28:04 AM
There were some impressive results today like:

France 8-0 Kazakhstan
Turkey 6-0 Gibraltar

Indeed even the Wales - Belarus game, which ended 5-1, they are now second in Group E.Great team character from Wales, special commendation to Ramsey for putting them in the lead very quickly in the first half, and also to Gareth Bale who is National team hero, playing his 100th game &  first game in a while for country after his hamstring injury, he is a big influence to the team.

Good coaching decision subbing him off after 45, their next game is going to be more challenging against Belgium, and the team definitely needs Bale in full playing mood.
3380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Call of duty tournament on: November 14, 2021, 04:51:44 AM
Kindly update your topic with relevant information. Also do consider increasing the winning amount try to make it a double-figure amount. I do not think a lot of people will be interested if you are paying $5

This is somewhat the first of its kind here, that's why you observe that lot's of information are lacking and i think OP just wants to have some fun as well.  It seems to me, that it is medium for OP to meet people who share a common interest in COD (call of duty) as much as he does, because if it is just the $5 incentive, I don't think it is enticing enough to attract some users. So if you have an interest playing, Don't do it because of the small and unenticing incentive, but because you have an interest in meeting people like you.
