So what do you think about Dani Alves rejoining Barcellona at the age of 38?

I mean he is a legend, a good player for the locker room but how he can be a good player is his role at his age?

He will probably cost 6m€/y to Barca, do you think is a good move?

Alves who is 38years, is the oldest player to sign for Barcelona. Although this may seem as not so much of a valid move to many, i think he will have a great influence on the team bringing along his experience, strengthening their defence and rubbing off some on the young defenders and players he will be playing with. I think he is a great addition to the team especially at a crucial point in the Barcelona campaign and also with the return of Xavi.
3383  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can politics be pure? on: November 12, 2021, 08:13:11 PM
It will be difficult for a profession like Politics that involves "power" to be pure and free from malpractice. Power is intoxicating and the thought of attaining more power or remaining in power turns some people on so much that they can go to any length to get it and remain there. This to me is a strong reason why politics can never be pure.
3384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Insight into German's loosened restrictions (hopefully) on: November 12, 2021, 02:14:59 PM
“Sports betting is fun and if you spoil the game, customers will have fun somewhere else,” said Dr Wulf Hambach.

This is simply a fact, times have really changed and some old rules, restrictions and regulations need to visited again and revised.  Before now when people had little right and knowledge to exercise their freedom, and movement both of ideas, culture and people themselves was not so easy as the present day, people could easily be in conformity with any rule you put in front of them. But now there is free flow of information, ideas and culture through the internet and media, you have to loosen up on the rules a bit and review most because if you don't give people enough reason to stop something and a better alternative, there is enough information in circulation to know how to bypass the rule to get what they want. So in other to prevent a situation where you are the only one being deceived that your rule is followed, review laws and create an enabling environment so you can still have an idea as to what citizens are up to, and if you know what your citizens are up to, you can control them. I think this is what Dr Wulf Hambach is insinuating.
3385  Economy / Economics / Mindset game for the skilled and unskilled. on: November 12, 2021, 01:26:48 PM
We've read and practiced the mindset power game,  where if you are aligned to a frequency of thinking about something, it begins to manifest.

The discussion of skills, their importance and how many skills an individual ought to learn to stay relevant for the future has been on for some time now and this circle of thought crossed my mind.

The comparison is between the skilled and unskilled.

-if one commits themselves to learning multiple skills without plans of expanding their skilled business to a point where they are able to have people who will begin working for them, has one subconsciously and unknowingly aligned themselves to always be in a position to receive?  that is a position where they always have to hope and depend on "a giver" to come patronize them for their survival.

-for the Unskilled, who knows he will need the services of skilled labour for some special tasks, does this not mean that he has already aligned himself unknowingly to always have more money for special tasks, that is to be a source to the skilled( the giver)?

In simpler language, Is it possible that people who always want to learn this and that skill to be able to survive never really become so wealthy in life compared to those who just want to be able to have money to be able to patronise the services of people who offer them?
3386  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: November 11, 2021, 10:39:10 PM
5-10 years is really short duration for this your prediction. However, I completely understand your school of thought and i'd rather say the that the banking systems will evolve rather than completely disappear. Things are changing quickly and in 5-10years time if we are still alive, we will have witnessed massive changes, improvements and development in all systems, the banking industry will not be left out.
3387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: November 10, 2021, 08:40:29 PM
Truth is in reality no matter how you try to play it safe always, you cannot completely ensure and eliminate loss from your trading experience, it is a part of it. What you can do however is to strive an ensure you are properly grounded in trading and in your strategy so that you can reduce losses to the bearest minimum, that is you loose less frequently and little amounts from your portfolio is what is lost the few times you loose.

Kucoin vs FTX...which one do you recommend?
For starters i have never heard of FTX...

Same here, the two most familiar exchanges are Binance and Kucoin in my locale. Binance is user friendly in terms of user interface and easier to navigate through and people trade a lot on it. Kucoin on the other hand seems a bit more complex for a new user. I recently started using Kucoin as it had some altcoins listed that i wanted to invest in but couldn't find on binance.  Presently, it is my preference because of the availability of more altcoins to trade.
3389  Economy / Economics / Re: Who wants to do what. Jobs or business.. on: November 10, 2021, 05:47:14 PM
It is said that every ambitious person who wants to become financial free must set up his own business, but I don't think that everybody is capable of setting up his business.

Business is not for everyone, it is very demanding and requires a lot more than you see openly, there's is a constant race among business owners to stay in business amidst harsh economic decisions, situations and there is competition, Not everybody can stay innovative and handle it, it is not a flaw, but how we were just made. Likewise, some people are in business because they can't handle the heat that comes from working for or under someone, they are not cut out to work a job even with education and qualifications.

You must take it upon yourself to find out the category you fall under, it is best you do so on time and understand that some people create jobs, while others keep the person who created the job in business through their professional or unprofessional services. It brings a sort of balance to the system.

FCMB BANK HAS JOINED THE GANG OF BAN

It is really fraustrating at times to be a young Nigerian. I can't imagine why a country like Nigeria that has not created enough jobs and equal opportunities for youths, will be so hell bent on ensuring that it's citizens continue to live in poverty and lack. Small crypto wey boys dey use take get money nai dem wan frustrate like this.

You dey see the screenshot so from my WhatsApp, 400million dun dey hang like this. Cry

If our government carry this energy dey follow up themselves unto corruption, shebi Naija for dun better pass so since?

3392  Other / Off-topic / Do spectators now know better? on: November 08, 2021, 10:40:13 AM
I understand that getting a professional knowledge in coaching introduces an individual to aspects of a sport not known by all, but oftentimes i have witnessed individuals (spectators) of a sport, due to extreme love for a sport become masters of a sport so much that it seems almost like they now know the sport better than some coaches.

Whenever a game is going on say football, you always hear such individuals question the coach's line up and tactics, you hear questions like -

-Why is he (the coach)  not playing player xyz?
-why did he (the coach) use player xyz instead of players zyx?
-why is he (that is the coach) using this formation instead the other one? and so on.

-Is there a possibility that spectators of a sport like you and i with no professional training can develop a better understanding of a sport than some professional coaches of some teams?

3393  Economy / Economics / Re: eNaira launched in Nigeria as a digital currency on: November 08, 2021, 03:17:48 AM
They have tried to stop Bitcoin because they are too stubborn to realize that Bitcoin it is not the problem, but the solution (that people adopted) to the problems they provoked while failing to the Nigerian people.

eNaira sounds interesting enough as a project, but in the hands of the same politicians and bankers that caused the problem in the first place, this new initiative will do nothing but repeat the history and make people to realize that Bitcoin is a lifesaving asset in a sea or corruption and centralized inefficiency.

I'm a part of those who have always said that through the introduction of enaira, many other Nigerians who have not heard about bitcoin and crypto will now do, because this enaira will always be in comparison with bitcoins and cryptocurrency, and then the more comparison is drawn, the more people will want to know about bitcoins and cryptocurrency. Still great news for the bitcoin community.

3394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't ever quit your job to trade crypto. on: November 08, 2021, 02:54:06 AM
I see a lot of newbies ask whether they should quit their jobs to trade crypto, and my honest advice is you should not try it.

Because you can trade from anywhere so far as there is good reception, and also facts that capital is intensive in trading, to quit ones job without a strong reason and when capital is low and will not yield good profit in trading is not wise.

If you must quit your job because of trading, let it be that the job is taking all your time such that it affects other side activities you involve in like trading, and the paycheck is not a sufficient equivalent of the amount of time you put in, and that you have gathered enough capital, knowledge and experience to get you on your way.
3395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: November 08, 2021, 02:38:17 AM
Alvares led the game with good strategy and in the 11th round he finished off the plant with explosive hits. it was a good match. So Alvarez proved it, he is invincible.

Before the fight, I never would have imagined the Canelo to KO Plant, i guess the thought of becoming the FIRST UNDISPUTED SUPER-MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION must have fuel Canelo's hunger to win the fight. He has really proven himself and shown that he is not the world's best pound for pound fighter for nothing. He worked Plant and watched for sign of weakness, immediately Canelo noticed that Plant had been hurt, he took full advantage and went for the KO, Great Strategy, Great Fight.

Don't get too overwhelmed, i'm certain that there are other newbies who have abandoned their accounts for same reason or another and have not returned since. It's good to see that you have mustered the courage to be back, i hope you really stay this time.

My best advice to you now that you are back is;  -Get conversant with the rules, be original and engage in discussions constructively. Develop consistency and give yourself time.
3397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 07, 2021, 09:24:21 PM
Chelsea would be very excited about this score line, they had drawn Burnley on Sunday and now liverpool lost to an ever blossoming Westham united...

I best advice Chelsea not to let their guard down, even with the hammers hammering them today, Liverpool are still very much contenders for the EPL title this season. The Next EPL fixtures for the top 6 teams right now is going to mean alot for the season, I'm looking forward to it already.
3398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 07, 2021, 04:54:17 PM
West Ham United face Liverpool in a match i see to be the real test for the two, especially that these are among the inform terms of the league. With this game being hosted by the hammers this certainly will be interesting to watch.....

Great to see the hammers leading right now, i really want Liverpool to drop points so Arsenal can close up the gap a bit, our next game is against them (Liverpool) will be great to see Both teams playing for something, but in between i think all decisions in football should not be left to VAR to decide, some tackles are clear red card offences and a machine cannot really understand this, or must someone's legs be broken first? is that how VAR is configured?
3399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 07, 2021, 03:37:30 PM
My Arsenal is leading, Aubameyang is playing terribly and missing too many opportunities to add to our goal tally, Arteta should better take him off now.

For Everton vs Tottenham game, the debate will go on for days about that Everton penalty that was denied after the challenge from Lloris. from the front, it looks like it should have been a penalty, but if you look from another angle, you see that the keepers hand first hit the ball away first, so no penalty IMO, no need to stress it.
3400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 07, 2021, 02:56:08 PM
Arsenal vs Watford game should by now be 1-0, had Aubameyang not missed that penalty kick. In my opinion, there were better penalty takers on the arsenal team that would have easily converted that kick for the us, there is Lacazette  who hasn't missed a penalty lately, and Maitland-Niles who is super composed and a brilliant penalty taker. Why did it have to be Aubameyang? They better behave themselves and win the second half else they've ruined my perfect weekend.
