341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining vs Buying on: November 07, 2017, 03:41:35 PM
Is it better to get BTC via mining or buying now?

It was no longer profitable early this year for mining. However, with the recent price surge, does mining becomes profitable now?

If yes, any suggestion? There are quite many cloud miner in the market.

Thanks.

Mining is not profitable if you have only have a small amount of rigs that you can use in mining. You will need to find a cheap electricity to use or free (solar power). It is better to buy bitcoin nowadays because of the continues increase of value. Do not trust cloud mining because they will just run your money in the long run.

We have decided to postpone our Token sale until Q1 2018. This is actually great news as Trippki is in advanced discussions with a number of Hotel groups who really get the vision and want to engage with us in moulding the MVP throughout the initial development phase, which is great!  We believe it is important to complete this process before undertaking the token sale and provide an even better offering to our community.  The Token Pre-Sale is still open for participation.
Regards Edward Cunningham

This also means that was the last week for the campaign untill further notice. We will let you know when it is active again. Thank you for your quality posts.

Hi manager Krach thank you for the very nice campaign, i am willing to join again in your campaign if trippki campaign will open again soon. Best regards to trippki project!

347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Purchasing Bitcoin on: November 05, 2017, 08:07:12 AM
Apologies for being so basic, but what is a reputable site to purchase bitcoin?
Secondly, has anyone had a good experience with Etherium? Thanks.

coinbase.com is one of the best exchange website for buying bitcoin. You can also purchase some bitcoins in localbitcoins.com using your fiat money. To your second question, do you mean the overall experience on etherium? Its good when you are a pioneer in having this coin. i just use it for converting my altcoins to eth using exchange.

350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction taking too long ;-; on: November 04, 2017, 03:25:25 PM
Hello I sent this transaction @ 2017-11-02 03:37:42

and up until now it's not yet confirmed ;-; any advice or help?

https://blockchain.info/tx/dbfd19673984d9ff76d1e3ba17c4e731e0f273b36d91257540717d380aec0689

I've seen accelerators and tried like here and in viabtc but none of them worked

I used my android blockchain app to send the bitcoins

You transaction fee 8 sats per byte is very low so do not expect that your transaction will confirmed fast or within the day. If you want to confirm it within an hour and it is important, you have to pay higher fees. In https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ they only provide accelerator services for those with at least 0.0001BTC/KB transaction fees
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 100.000 new coinbase users in 24 hours. on: November 04, 2017, 11:19:43 AM
I’ve come across this news:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-exchange-coinbase-adds-100000-users-in-24-hrs-shows-surging-interest-in-crypto

At first, I couldn’t believe it, 100.000 new users are a lot of users. The article says it is due to CME announcement but what I think as a result of it is that it is just the beginning of the next push. Unless some major unexpected event happens, we are on a bull market for a while.

100,000 new coinbase user thats crazy! bad thing is that they register in an exchange with so many bad feedback from their recent users. Anyway that is a good sign for bitcoin because so many people starting to believe in crypto currency now = more new investors. For sure the bitcoin price will still continue to pump until the end of the year.

354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here lives on crypto currency daily? on: November 04, 2017, 02:39:22 AM
Having a crypto currency is make our life very easy. I can simply pay my utility bills and internet bills using my bitcoin wallet in online payment. I can buy gadgets using my crypto currencies in an online store and directly ship into my door house. I have my bitcoin debit card which i can use for my travel by using grab or uber.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i buy altcoin with ETH? if yes, how? on: November 03, 2017, 05:23:20 PM
I've realised that for new entry to crypto as of now ($7000/btc), it doesn't make any sense to purchase altcoin with the current BTC exchange rate.

Chances are, when BTC has a pull back; altcoin will increase in value.

But the capital appreciation from altcoin will knock off by the decreased value in BTC when we cash out to fiat currency.

SOOOOOOOO, the big question is...can I purchase altcoin with ETH?

Yes you can buy some altcoin using your ethereum wallet in etherdelta.com exchange. Some altcoins are listed in etherdelta like some of the latest airdrop from bounty section. Just import your MEW or your personal ether wallet to the etherdelta(be careful with the phising link). Deposit your eth to etherdelta and you can buy now some altcoin in their altcoin list.
356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin up Altcoin down | what is your trading strategy? on: November 03, 2017, 04:35:53 PM
Bitcoin prices are getting more expensive and the price of altcoin is getting lower.
For you altcoin traders, I want to know how the strategy you are using in the current situation. Let's share the experience here.
Your answer is greatly appreciated.  Wink

This scenario is not new to me that most of altcoin cryptos is having a red days again. It happened so many times before and for sure there will be more red days to come. I am fine and calm sitting in my couch and wait for my token that i HODL to pump again in the right time. I never sell my altcoins unless im having a profit from my capital of my investment Smiley
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you ever convince or encourage someone to invest in Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2017, 02:27:06 PM
Late 2015 me and my friend started talking about crypto currency things. I first introduce him the bitcoin and how can we invest our fiat money to convert it to coins by just hodling it for long term. Sadly i cant convince him and i am the only one who push the investment in bitcoin. Now when we remember those day i simply smile at him because he didnt respond to my life changing opportunity Smiley
358  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2FA Authentication on: November 03, 2017, 08:17:21 AM
Is it better to have 2FA authentication code in your bitcoin site? Ex: Faucets, investments, and wallets?
What is the advantages and disadvantages of having 2FA code in your account? Thanks!

Advantage of having a 2fa authentication is hackers cant easily access your account without the device authenticator that you are using. More security for your account. The disadvantage is when you lose your device you will lose also your account. There is no way that you can access again your account.
359  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk hacked accounts on: November 03, 2017, 06:50:29 AM
I am seeing a lot of people claiming that their accounts have been hacked. I am just baffled, I wasn't aware of this.
1)To those who have been hacked, do you know how that happened?
2)Does anyone know why hackers would steal a forum account?
3)I now realise the importance of staking my bitcoin address. Now my question is, do I have to use an address of those wallets that doesn't change after using it?

Vulnerability of security before of the website is one of the reason why some people has access to other account and can easily hacked it. Hacking account is commonly use in scamming attempt and can also be use for making money in signature campaign especially when  they hack a high ranked account like hero or legendary.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Is Too Complicated for Average People! on: November 03, 2017, 05:18:49 AM
Well, I think it is indeed too much complicated and harder to use, you have to have knowledge about how it works on internet. You have to make an account, buy bitcoin from different sites ( which takes 5% to 7% Fees) then transfer to exchanges for trading or to use.

How can a normal people, who usually watch youtube video, use fb or other social media, you expect him/her to know all these things? I seen people give up easily, and think it's too techy.

I believe if Bitcoin sell coins on their official website, with lower fees, such as 1% to 2%, and make  a simple wallet for people to use, more & more people would buy and use it.
What is your opinion on it? discuss..

This is very complicated to a non internet user who only live using tv and cellphone but not on a user who always watch youtube and using social media. If a people is eager to learn there will be so many ways. There are so many tutorials videos in youtube on how bitcoin works and how to make bitcoin. If you want to avoid high fees in buying or selling bitcoin you need to find people and make a transaction face to face.
