Well it's just gone over 0.008....
Not too shabby, eh? Looking forward to getting back to proper Monero prices again, it's about time.
That's about, ooh 70 bucks in 'old money'.
Well If you all remeber i've been buying back since Alphabay so i'm a little under water on my DCA. It will be nice to get back to fucking .03 again! But then I'm still not selling. I learned my lesson the hard way.So did I, way back - but I just traded and traded to get the average down. And bought more, which helps if you're under water. When it did rocket up in 2016, I was sitting pretty. I hope it works out for you, and I am sure Monero will help, it does look like sooner or later it will break out properly again, it wasn't so long back it was under $40. Crypto teaches us all the discipline of patience. Amen, helllyyyyeeeeaaaaahhhhhhhh

I'm amazed the price is so suppressed for so long.
Both Monero as well as BTC, I blame the futures market fuckery and institutional fear mongering.
I am sure rare expected Monero this low a year ago. I just found this post of mine about Bitcoin. I was most of the year wrong, but at the end was quite close. Now thinking that at that time the price that I was expecting for Monero right now would be at least above $150. 2019 reduced mining emission was the main reason. With everything else that happened in 2018 &2019. From lower fees to general avareness that privacy matters. I guess all that will show up in 2020 My feeling tells me, that we will have the same slope as BTC in 2020, subsequently the growing hasrate is a very good indicator for this

I am interested in the fact XMR volume seems to be on the rise, or at least staying solid.
Any thoughts?
There is a lot of talk about Monero. Any kind of talk. New protocol upgrade. New mining algo. Listing on exchanges and of exchanges. Bad guys trying to spread malware to mine Monero. Different crypto influencers talk about all that. When people learn about Monero are shocked of 0.1 cent transaction fees. And mostly are shocked, that Monero actually is what they thought they got when first bought Bitcoin.
Monero have usecase and it is used. That is why price when going down will go much less as of other useless coins. Monero ZEC price flippering happened a month or two ago. Now you can already get 2 ZEC for a Monero. You hit that nail on the head, now if only the eco system gets integrated into mainstream markets. Also the transaction fees are something you don't hear enough about, I'm glad you mentioned that. It is a bit like mainstream media in the crypto world. The more users you gain, the uninformed user base grows, so this is a thing about education No, you can never educate the masses. All you can do is provide them the tools to protect themselves and then convince them to use those tools. The majority are morons who are manipulated by TPTB to believe what is good for the elite is good for them. Well you can try

If the file can be compromised then presumably they could compromise the hash too.
Verification of the file against Fluffypony's GPG key would fail though. Only if the GPG key displayed on the webpage is not compromised Actually a pretty good point. Maybe he should tweet the Key and have a link to it on the site and then they would have to hack a much tougher target to push a verifiable bad binary. Just upload the key to several key servers and keep it verified That wouldn't hurt but for the mainstream crowd a simple tweet would be easy to find and then Twitter would have an actual use case. Probably yes, but a packet repo'ish update tool would be the better idea to check the integrity of the files downloaded and installed on the users system

Thank you, done. Would you guys do us a favor. Everytime i update my server, i have to follow the link https://downloads.getmonero.org/cli/linux64 and then rename the file through wget -cO. Would you be so kind to save the file or the symlink with the actual name/version of the file, that would be great, thanks Have you tried using the direct download link (see linked thread)? Yes, then i get a 404 error on the server, unfortunately.... I get a error for a payment Error: Unerwarteter Fehler:boost::too_many_args: format-string referred to fewer arguments than were passed to XMR.to. I enter the transfer argument via c&p, then the wallet password, and then i get this error. You know that one? EDIT: Just skipped to 14.1.0, no problems at all. I am running the monerod with the --prune-blockchain argument Which specific command are you using to transfer funds? Simply the transfer one? And are you passing additional arguments? P.S. If you think it is an actual bug, could you please open a new issue on the Monero Github repository? That will ensure the bug will get fixed swiftly. I am using transfer <address> <ammount> as proposed by XMR.to without any additional arguments, System running on 64bit 16.04 Ubuntu, monerod running in --prune-blockchain argument on monerod 15.0.0. Same on binaries 14.1.0 without any issues. Before i file a bugreport i just want to check if i made a mistake or if i am missing anything? As far as I can see, that is the proper command. Thus, please file a bug report. Done --> https://github.com/monero-project/monero/issues/6136Thanks! You are welcome MoneroMoo found the bug in the LANG=locale setting. If you run LANG=C no porblem at all, if i run my local setting, then i get the error. Something small, but i think that will be corrected in the next release or you build the files by your own
