The governments had no choice but to get involved bc of sites like bitconnect...scamming people out of billions and also with ICOs launching just to steal money with no real intention of doing anything else. The thing that sucks is now all the legitimate crypto companies have to deal with over regulation.

Not really sure. Some seem like paid advertising and others seem like the people rating them will profit off their opinions anways. So if they rate high just so they can sell high after the ICO, or because they are getting paid to rate high, then that's no good and I feel like that's what's happening a lot atm.

I'm also stuck in a deep sht in my altcoin, just hold your ground guys. Stay strong, this is part of the process.
However if you have extra funds it's the perfect time to buy some BTC or even better wait for the next breakout.
Margin trading is also desirable since it can yield you 900% profit, a risk worth taking this downtrend season.
We must not lose, let's hold our coins and wait for the next moon!
Hmm I may have to try margin trading during this period we are in. I tried trading the last couple days but it's been hard as I'm learning through doing and this crash is difficult to read for me. |

This guy is one of the best developers in crypto. I really like litecoin. If it dips below $75 during this crash I might buy some. I find it hard with my small bankroll to invest in coins over $50 atm, unless of course it's ethereum...

It could be rising temporarily getting ready for a massive dip again bc as the price rises a little people see opportunity to sell. This could be a vicious cycle that doesn't end well for at least a few more days. I certainly hope it ends sooner than later.

This is a very good point but this is tough to stomach. I was up until 4am last night just watching the market and making notes about pricing and drops. This is my first year of crypto so I'm learning as I go and this crash is pretty crazy.

I think as people make money off altcoins they will build their asset wealth with bitcoin. So they make money frim other coins and tokens but use that to buy more bitcoin. This will make bitcoin worth the most out of all assets by a long shot.

Since BTC already reach $7k today, there is a big chance it will dip to $5k or lesser down to $3k before it goes up again. If we base it from the previous year's data, BTC was about $3k before it started to go up. So I guess it should be the same this year. Be ready to buy when it reaches $5k or less.
Um... $3k will be devastating to the market. People will panic sell all the way down and this could spiral into a totally destructive situation. I really hope we don't see it get that bad. Yikes. |

Yeah the crash is still happening. Some people claim it's because of the FUD news from India.
Either way, I think we'll see some stabilization after February ends.
Wow...your think this is going to continue all through February? If that's the case, we will see btc down below $5k and ethereum under $500. That was absolutely suck. I mean I enjoy discounts, but we would all get slaughtered in the process. |

I wouldn't really feel right cashing out in crypto at any point in less I was in fear of the internet going down for a long period of time. Other than that scenario, I will be holding until I die, only cashing out a little bit, and as I do I will add other tokens and coins to my portfolio to always keep it growing.

As someone already mentioned, Instagram is property of Facebook so this should not surprise anyone. Pretty sad that Zuckerberg pulled the move the way he did. Although many ICOs advertising on Facebook were scams, this ruins legitimate companies chance to advertise on there.

I sold a few coins which are now even cheaper so I can actually just buy them back for less if I want. You act like it's over, but it's not. Everything is still crashing as I type this. Maybe not as hard, but it's still falling....

Well I'm from the US and we are basically only allowed to participate in like 5% of ICOs so sadly I don't have a lot of info since I stopped investigating them a few days ago. That being said, if I could I would invest in Copytrack, Altair VR, Arcblock, and the Telegram ICO when it launches.

I'm glad. Copytrack is going to make them wish they postponed the launch indefinitely. They aren't even close to take on the leader in the industry. They may have the cash to market the hell out of their ico, but in the long term they will not be able to beat the skilled technical team of Copytrack. See signature for more info. Hello Folk, is it the time for ethreum to lead from the front ? As bitcoin is going through rough ride along with other altcoins but ethreum is turning out to be more stable platform for investment and also new ICO's are based on ethreum. Do you think Ethreum will dethrone bitcoin from 1st rank of crypto this year?
I don't think ethereum can be that because its availability is unlimited so it may not reach the value of bitcoin.But it can beat the value in the market cap value.But I think bitcoin will be the king of crypto because bitcoin can recover from the price crashes very soon we can know that from the history. Since when was ethereum unlimited in supply? Ether is limited to 100,000,000. |
