Vultr has shut pool.biblepay.com down due to "excessive utilization".
Im working on bringing it back up now. They rebooted the instance forcefully.
So Im taking this opportunity to clean the logs now and running maintenance on the database.
It should be up within 15 more minutes.
Rob
....perfect opportunity for some of the miners to try out Lichtsucher's pool (pool.purepool.org), we desperatlely need some hashpower over there!

Thus saith the LORD: “[...]”
Wait, what?? Where did you get these sentences from? It's most certainly not a Bible quote, sounds more like someone just made them up yesterday. So on whose authority do you claim that those are our LORD's words?

So im getting about 5600 hps with 10 Threads on my i7-8700k... When im looking at the leaderboard. How can someone get 50k with only 1 Cpu?
HPS from getmininginfo is really different from pool.biblepay.org HPS2. e.g. 1 core VPS has 260 hps at getmininginfo, but it has no problem to get 50000hps2 on pool. So with your CPU you will have a looots hps2 like dave_bbp said you can go solo if you can, but if you want "fast" BBP go to pool. It's up to you. If you want you can check on pool if you will hit some block and than consider your future But in near future it will all change to PoDC so pool won't be necessary. Just wait and check this thread I tried it today but it effects my GPU mining but i dont know why, i get like -20% hashrates if im mining BBP with my CPU. Thats really bad This can be easily circumvented by adjusting the process priority for BBP. (Windows: Task Manager -> biblepay-qt.exe -> lowest priority; Linux: adjust "nice" for biblepay-cli). That way you can even test to set a higher nproc, e. g. in debug-console "setgenerate true 12" or 16 or...

it seems C-Cex has new registration open again, but it requires an "invite code". Does anyone know how to obtain it? Thanks!
I'm not sure if this is what you need, but if you are looking for a referral code, here's mine: https://c-cex.com/?rf=29F403E9D90AC0CC

Worth to mine with a i7-8700k?
Most definitely! You have a very powerful CPU, so you even could consider going solo. I think you should hit a block maybe 2 to 3 times per month. If you want to start pool mining, there is 2 options: https://pool.biblepay.org or https://pool.purepool.org (simpler to start imo). Slovakia, please stop spamming this thread with a buttload of questions, half of them being meaningless or wrong or being asked for the gazillion'th time. And please start reading the stuff you post before sending it. I swear most of the time I cannot even get a meaning out of your gibberish reading it the first time. Maybe try google translator, I think even this would create more readable sentences....

Just throwing it out there: for someone looking to buy a whole sanctuary: now seems to be a good time. On SouthExchange there are currently more than 1.8 million BBP in the ASK below(!) 48 sats. In other words, a masternode is currently "buyable" for approx. 6000-6500$. https://www.southxchange.com/Market/Book/BBP/BTC

Hi Dave, check the C-cex page on bitcointalk forum. My intent is not to fud, I just want people to be safe, than sorry. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=418700.3300The situation has been developing on that thread - at the last 10 pages or so. It amounts to the exchange being under-fire from locking XVG wallets of many users several months ago - they still have no relief. In the worst case scenario the exchange is taken completely down in the short term. Wow, don't have time to read that, but on first glimpse that didn't look too good. There seem to be a lot of angry people who have lost(?) significant amounts and aim to bring it down.... Thx for giving out the warnings.

C-cex appears to be in some hot water legally, i recommend all of you to withdrawal your BTC and other coins from that exchange as quickly as possible. Some have been saying that the site is accessible via VPN. I personally am unable to connect to the site.
Are there any sources for your statement? I just logged in without problems and withdrew my BBP (without problems). Better save than sorry, I guess...

Ah thx all for the quick responses. Always good to have active people caring for the technical aspect of things. God bless!

What is up with the network right now? We don't have a single running MasterNode (according to biblepay.eu) and also lichtsucher's purepool seems to be down (doesn't count any shares right now). However all my miners are working and show no problem with poolmining!?

Quick recap regarding the shares count on lichtsucher's purepool: machine 24h shares Raspberry Pi 3 Mod. B: 55 Core2Duo T9400: 180 Rented 2 cores (of Xeon X56XX) 300 Xeon E3-1230 v3 700 Dual Xeon L5640 2200 Seems perfectly proportional to their computing power. Those 2 blocks we hit yesterday were obviously pure luck; let's see when we'll strike again. So are you implying the main pool is not proportional to computing power also, or is it not tested? From what I understand Lich's PMs back and forth to me sound as if the Purepool issues the same diff shares as pool.biblepay.org. So the results should be the same. That's hard to say to be honest, because the main pool is resetting the shares much more often and irregularly (at least for my workers), so I never really see how much I gathered with the specific workers in a specific time. What I can say is, that for example a machine with Dual Xeon E5645 processors is now (for at least 2 weeks) consistently at 12-30 shares in "My Leaderboard" whereas my Raspberries are always ín a range of 5-15 shares and my ASUS Tinker Board (which should be approx. 150% of a Pi) is at 10-20 shares. So judging from these (few) examples the main pool definitely levels out my machines. So my personal conclusion would be that the main pool right now is perfectly suited for weaker machines (Dual Core, rented, ARM etc.), while more powerful systems might be better off on purepool (which of course cannot be safely said right now, because we will have to see how many blocks it hits over the course of a week or so...).

dave_bbp very weird for rented 2 CPUs 56xx and dual xeon L5640 ...
sorry, I'll correct this, it's of course 2 rented cores of a Xeon X56XX.

Does anyone know why one of my workers would be solo mining with an error: pool down-reverting to solo mining?
I have 2 machines ( 2 diff workers) with the same conf file, with the exception of the worker name. And one of my workers is pool mining and the other has had this error message since 2/14.
conf file:
addnode=dnsseed.biblepay-explorer.org
genproclimit=3
poolport=80
workerid=cjm_258worker
pool=http://pool.biblepay.org
gen=1
The pool supports SSL, so you can remove the poolport line and for the pool URL you can put in "https" instead of "http". Maybe the old non-SSL connection doesn't work anymore?

@lichtsucher: so the pool page now shows my payment for the first found block (30437). However for new users not having read the instructions carefully this might be a bit misleading, because it is called "payment" although it isn't really paid out yet (only once a day, right?). Maybe you could just add another column to this table stating "payment queued" or "payment done" or something like that.

Thanks, hopefully we hit blocks now!
see we have hit block now lichtsucher. One question, i have looked up stats for my miner, submitted 1427 shares. It doesnt say anything about block reward from this found block?
Thanks
Every block that has been hit has to mature for 24h before it is distributed. It's all written in the documentation on the pool website.

Not sure if the main pool is different here, but I tried to be as fair as possible. So yes, the shared depend on the calculation power. More power: more shares submitted to the pool by the client Who much shares does a RaspPi find compares to a Dual Xeon? One important question regarding the worker list on my statistics: is the shares (24h) a rolling 24h number, or a 24h number starting at a fix time (maybe midnight GMT)? I wanted to make a 24h comparison of counted shares between a Pi, a rented 2Core-Server and a DualXeon machine over the weekend.
It is a rolling number -> current time - 24h. All other time are UTC, which is nearly identical to GMT. On the main pool my Rasperry Pis come up with approx. 1/3 to 1/5 of the HPS2 (and shares) compared to a DualXeon, which is of course way outta proportion, but nice to have. I just really quick tested it yesterday for about an hour, so I cannot say how well it performs on your pool, knowing that I can just start the 24h at any time, I will definitely test it some time on the weekend and give some feedback here. P.S.: already looking forward to the first payout by your pool^^

I sold about a million at market over the last 3 days. Still have a long way to go.
Selling it now requires A) Borrowing it first, and B) knowing to be on SouthXChange - I dont normally sell on southxchange, but Im starting to add that in the plan.
Ah I see, good to know. @Lichtsucher: So far I see no problems with your pool, but 1 thing is pretty clear up until now: your pool counts shares (and I assume also the corresponding payout) exactly proportional to the machine power of the worker. I see a huge difference in my workers, meaning that the Raspberry Pi only has a very low shares count compared to a DualXeon server (which is what you would actually expect by comparing their raw computational power). Not really sure if this is a good or a bad thing, since people with only 1-2 small CPUs will probably not be able to get alot of coins, but it is definitely as fair as can be!

Rob, I really hope you sold the orphan funds into that enormous pump (before they dumped it again^^). Or maybe you are the reason it's back at the usual price? Anyway, nice to see things getting more attention, always good to show up on more people's radar. it was bug lol no it wasn't. Just look at the order book and the time-and-sales history on SouthExchange. there were multiple trades at around 1000 Sat, which would be around 10 cents per BBP. Volume also picked up significantly. Of course it was sold off immediately, generating some pretty nice "bag holders", as the stock market would call them.
