343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: on what condition can people have fath for bitcoin just like for gold? on: March 21, 2014, 02:11:42 PM
There isn't much of similarities between gold and bitcoin. Bitcoin will get stable enough to become new gold when almost all of it would be dig up. So in year.... 2100

346  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Apple approves Bitcoin Wallet app - bitWallet. on: March 21, 2014, 01:57:36 PM

Well nice to have more software. If it went through Apple hands for such long time it should be fine program.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & PoW is a waste of energy & destroys nature on: March 21, 2014, 01:37:40 PM
I don't think it is waste since this way we get great tool for international transactions. Physically moving this money through states and continents would be more wasteful. Not to mention other advancements that people mention here.

But if we look on problem from different perspective, we probably could use all of this power for something useful and still get benefit we get now. There were already such ideas, but I'm afraid it would require centralization and maybe even some big IT companies involved.
348  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is it this time? do the whales know something we dont? on: March 21, 2014, 01:27:19 PM
Bitcoin is in same trend since beginning of January. It will change at point when real big players will join. Recently there were already some rumors and news about bigger investors trying to get into bitcoin ATMs and currency exchanges. Then the trend will change dramatically.

And why does banning BTC in China still matter?
Because people are sheeple...

http://live.sina.com.cn/zt/l/v/finance/globalnews1/?update It might change soon

350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi was a "genius", then why do BTC transactions take so long? on: March 21, 2014, 09:28:18 AM
International transactions taking 10 minutes, I'm not sure if it is long time to get proper confirmation. Also it is hard to tell if there were any alternative to solutions he had to use.
351  Economy / Speculation / Re: The truth is out: money is just an IOU, and the banks are rolling in it on: March 21, 2014, 08:44:25 AM
Well this system should sink in 2008, sad thing is taxpayers must keep it alive now. System will collapse at some point, together with it fiat and London Club.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox announce finding of 200,000 lost BTC! on: March 21, 2014, 08:36:02 AM
"February 28, when it is filed for Civil Rehabilitation Law in Tokyo District Court, the company describes a total of about 850,000 BTC corresponding to almost all to be held has been lost." and now they "find" 200k ?!

So they lied to court ?! I guess it is good information, maybe they "find" another 200k...
353  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2014 World Fiat Collapse? on: March 21, 2014, 08:33:10 AM
I don't think it would be revolution. Simply after awhile people would slowly move to better alternatives of fiat. I actually happens right now. Problem is monetary system is support by government and we already saw what government can do at recent crisis. With unlimited support from taxpayers and loans it can keep system alive for very long time.
