342  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hillary vs Trump betting: what are the best sites? on: November 08, 2016, 02:17:50 PM
Looking to bet 6BTC on Hillary to win 2 btc.

Please let me know if you're interested and we can set up an escrow.
There are tons of reputable sites that you can bet on currently. No reason to do it off the books. Plus everybody knows that she will most likely win and the reward is low.

The juice was too high.  -300 spreads across both sides is too much vig.

347  Economy / Gambling / Re: Decentralised Gambling Game vDice Announces Crowdsale on: November 03, 2016, 01:52:50 PM
So looking a bit deeper into this, it seems even more concerning. My understanding is that the player will need to trust

* random.org
* cloudflare
* oraclize

As the code doesn't appear to be using random.org's sequences (?), so there's no way to check how many times random.org was asked for random numbers. It just checks that random.org gave a result. It can give any result it wants, and there's no guarantees (unlike a provably fair scheme). But worse, is this means oraclize can ask it as many times as it wants. But the TLS layer is done by cloudflare, so you also need to trust them (they can change the result if they want). There's probably no problem trusting all 3 (?!) parties, but the problem I see is if one of them cheats, it's 100% undetectable.

Now contrast this to going to a bitcoin gambling site, say PrimeDice:

* I deposit money
* I play using a proper dedicated interface, and have instant bets
* I check my results
* I withdraw

So in the vdice case, I'm trusting 3 parties who can cheat me (?) but if they do, I'll never know. And they know I'll never know.  Now contrast to PrimeDice, which you do need to trust with the amount you deposit, whoever it's impossible for them to undetectable cheat you. This provides extra incentive for them to be honest.

Anyway, I'm sure i'm missing something as AFAICT it's strictly a step down from current bitcoin gambling?   (Disclaimer: I'm very unfamiliar with ethereum and greatly dislike it, so my reading of the contract is likely totally mistaken)

I don't understand. You're saying you trust centralized more than decentralized   Huh

We respectfully disagree. That's why we love blockchain.
That's why we made the world's 1st FULLY decentralized gambling platform.

There are technical arguments we both can make.
But I think people in Bitcoin forum understand why decentralization is important.

I'm rooting for you guys...

but honestly it doesn't even seem like you read what Ryan wrote at all.

Just stop trying to make the bold claim that it is 'FULLY' decentralized in every single way.  It's decentralized for the most part.  Just go with that.
348  Economy / Scam Accusations / concluded to satisfaction on: November 02, 2016, 01:38:28 PM
User Yogg (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=140827) has renigged on his auction https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1652588.0.

He has sent me a private message indicating that I did not win because I was not in the right time specifications (The auction ends on the 25th October at 11:59 PM GMT), to which I responded to look at the thread where it clearly shows the time entered (October 25, 2016, 11:45:59 PM) and sent him a few messages to no reply.

Yogg has since gone offline and has recently had his password changed.

It is my personal speculation that he chose to sell to a higher biddor and then ditched his forum account by selling to another user.

edit; please see third post

We are simply trying to cover everything.

We have been constantly reviewing the bet logs and are doing our best to check all that we can for the sake of our investors.

We are not above asking for help if in the event we missed something.

Public log: http://pastebin.com/4cQik4uZ (too big to post in forum)

Wtf am i the only guy who ask the question? Why every bet only have a seed that is <1000000???

You remember the shit that was going on with bb And the seed Story!

Hold the Coins!!!!

All the client seeds are dynamic and random which have been produced by the app itself (bubblebit).  They were designed by the app to be 6 digits long.  I have suggested earlier in the day to make the length at least 8 digits but still with the ability to be custom set.

The seeds don't really affect the user's ability to cheat, but rather limits themselves to being cheated easier (if for some reason Moneypot was acting malicious against them [we are not]).

Congratulations again to NotTardy who was firing off huge bets for a 45 minute stretch.

For public notice, we will be once again doing a quick investigation into the matter and will be posting a public log of the session soon.  If anyone has information that would assist in the investigation, it's highly encouraged to contact us.

Congrats again NotTardy

what information are you looking for?

JPR its just a normal investigation that we typically conduct for large winners.

ok thats fine for me and for sure for NotTardy

but doge' posting sounded a bit more troubled and not like a normal investigation cause he asked if people have info

If anyone has information that would assist in the investigation, it's highly encouraged to contact us.

imo very smart to do because you see all to investigate and me for example or others cant see what you guys see but others could have ideas and my tip is to check his betting pattern cause I watched it. not saying that he cheated or tricked but always nice to see the betting pattern of winners

352  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★★★ Bitcoin Gamble Talk - Discord chat server with 500+ members, 5 month old ★★★ on: November 01, 2016, 02:49:38 PM
I dont understand why any gambling site want to open some chat server mean while their apps already have chat on themselves. Moneypot has so many apps which mean may be they might join everyapps owner to talk on your apps. But does it really needed? I still dont understand it why OP make this kind of thing?

Moneypot should have their own forum and give app owners the option to advertise their games and their promos in their own sub sub forum. this would give players a wonderful and easy option to check out the (new) apps, games and their promos they are running currently.

we suggested this long ago

Not trying to hijack the thread, but a forum would not be a great use of resources.  There's very little actual forum traffic nowadays unless you give post-incentives which lowers the quality of writing.  We are currently working on a blog however, and app owners can advertise their games and promos there.

As for the discord, it opens gaming sites up to the gamer niche, which most Discord users are, and it is easy to be an added 'channel' of many other channels that users use.  For instance, I have about 5 channels up and know pretty easily if someone is talking on the #moneypot subchannel or if I get a private message (which is pretty secure) for support issues or just general questions.  I find it a lot more useful than private messages through bitcointalk or a different forum.
353  Economy / Gambling / Re: Who is the best Bankroll among this sites and why? on: November 01, 2016, 02:09:49 PM
There are so many variables that it's pretty much impossible to give a general answer for 'best bankroll to invest in'.

Sites have different track records and amounts of experience.

Sites have higher or lower variance than others.

Sites have higher volume than others.

Sites have more bets (much different than volume) than others.

Sites have different fees.

Sites have different security procedures.

Sites have different amounts of bankroll which means that your 'slice of the pie' will differentiate.

---

Find out what is most important to you (ie: If you are looking for a conservative or aggressive investment style) and invest accordingly.

...What you should not be doing is judging the best bankroll to put your bitcoin into by its previous results.

354  Economy / Gambling / Re: Wheelpot.com (Formerly sat.oshi.xyz) - Moneypot based Roulette on: October 31, 2016, 09:15:21 PM
So, u just chaged the domain name from sat.oshi.xyz to Wheelpot.com and everything else is same?

It was inactive for a while because it was abandoned by a previous owner.  It has now been restored.
355  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCPOT.CF Launched! ALL BUGS FIXED! Free Bits! on: October 31, 2016, 04:16:19 PM
I tested it out a bit more and there are some miscalculations happening as well (ie: bets for 10 bits on bustasatoshi can end up in much larger losses [-170bits]) and the withdraw option is broken because it's not linked properly.

At this time, we cannot verify your app until confirmation that this script use is credited and/or permitted and a few of the bugs are cleaned up.
356  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCPOT.CF Launched! ALL BUGS FIXED! Free Bits! on: October 31, 2016, 03:59:38 PM
Do you have expressed permission for the scripts you are using?

They seem to be all from different sites with the only open source one being Dexon's sweepabit script (but your version does not seem to give credit anywhere).

We are now 5 months old and going strong averaging 50 users online at peak times. We are now with 500+ members!!

Nice.  Glad that #moneypot was the first dedicated gaming channel there Smiley
358  Economy / Auctions / Re: [LOW STARTING BID - Dice site] ALTDICE.NET - Ends on 25th october on: October 31, 2016, 11:59:26 AM
is this auction over?

It should be.

This thread is proof of myself winning.  OP has been online and seems to have viewed my post and personal message but not has responded.

I will be waiting a bit longer before submitting a scams/accusation thread.
