341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Panic? Where are the volumes? on: December 16, 2018, 05:23:07 PM
It is not really "going down" anymore, November had worse days than the past week had but the fact that it got stuck on a low number is a bit scary.

The difference between volatile days of last month and stable weeks of this month is that when we lived the November badly the high volumes were because someone sold a lot of bitcoin and that dropped the price a lot, when the price is stable the volume is also stable as well. So do we need more volume? Yes we do but do we need volume that would cause the price to drop like last month? Not at all.

Hence, we are sort of fine with what we have right now compared to higher volume days of last month but we are also in need of a high volume that is mostly more buys. Volume is not a good indicator of price going up, we rather have this low volume compared to last months high sells but low volume also means we are not going anywhere.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Billionaire Investors Still Remain Positive on Long-Term Trend of Crypto on: December 11, 2018, 04:27:12 PM
Bitcoin is a great investment if you already have a lot of money.

For people who have invested into stocks, gold, bonds and many other stuff for billions of dollars it is nothing to just put 10 million dollars into a crypto fund and hope for the best, even if it goes to one million dollars that is a billionaire losing 9 million dollars which is basically nothing. So, rich people do not care about these short term falls but only care about getting more of it when it falls down since they can afford to lose money now in order to make money later, that is how you become rich, unless you do not plan for the future you will not have a lot of money when you get old.

Moreover, when you are poor and planning how to finish the month and have 20 more days to live with 100 dollars in your pocket it is hard to focus on a future investment. That is why billionaires are positive on long term trend of crypto.
343  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the possible outcome if bitcoin still continue to depreciate? on: December 09, 2018, 02:54:08 PM
That will be a question if what will happen if bitcoin continue its fall of price? What will be the impact to the investors and traders?
A major upset. People are already hanging in on a thin ice and many of them fallen in and the rest of it is scared to fall as well hence if it went down any further down there will be a lot more people (and business) that go down as well. The only ones that stay will be the ones who are rich and all the small investors will get out making bitcoin and crypto something like gold where small investors don't hold too much but big investors have a lot.

I do not think we can cover too much of this, we need to get back to at least above $5k to keep who we are and have a little more volume in order to save bitcoin, otherwise we are not going to be this major innovation we are. I know it sounds really scary but that is what it is for us right now. We can't afford to lose, we need to win or there will be a worldwide affect on a scale we can't even imagine.
344  Economy / Economics / Re: ETF rejected on: December 06, 2018, 04:45:04 PM
EETF will be decided on 29th December this year (before the year ends) and most probably markets will not react to it until 2nd of january, maybe even later. Hence there is no rush to get bitcoin accepted right now, ETF can wait, we have much bigger problems at hand right now than focusing on ETF.

We need to figure out how to rebalance bitcoin when people make money shorting bitcoin. There are people who can bet 10 thousand bitcoins on bitmex to short bitcoin and say it will go down and at the same time sell 10 thousand bitcoins all together to drop the price everywhere and make the double amount of profit. If we can't find a way to fix that issue and somehow make profiting by increasing the price more appealing, this price crisis we had in 2018 will follow us to 2019 as well.
345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TIPS TO PROFIT DURING A BEARISH MARKET on: December 05, 2018, 12:27:32 PM
Do not trade anything if you are not knowledgeable or experienced enough to actually pull it off. If you are a newbie in the markets the bear time is not good for you and you should not trade. By "trade" I mean the short term trading, mainly daily but weekly neither.

If you are a newbie just go for the long term investment, don't look at the prices and just search the projects and see which ones looks like the best ones to you. If you research enough you will know everything about the projects you look at. Still, don't buy into everything, there is a tendency to buy a coin you research and that's not healthy, just because you know everything about it don't think it will go up, have like 20 coins you really love and only invest on the best 2 ones. Wait around a year and it will hopefully be better off (unless its 2018).
346  Economy / Speculation / Re: Walll Street dumping to buy cheap on: December 02, 2018, 04:22:18 PM
It is not "wall street", everything a rich company does became "wall street" in peoples minds.
Yeah, there are a lot of companies there that deal with finance and that is why wall street is so famous but there are companies outside of USA like Deutsche and HSBC that is trying to do the same thing right now.

Even smaller banks around the world is doing that, comparatively speaking there are fraction of what wall street is being poured into bitcoin in some third world country because the price is incredibly low right now and considering even a small increase of $100 in price for bitcoin could mean a lot of money for third world country if you consider they are putting up millions of dollars plus the dollar-fiat ratio is usually low in those places so it is times 10 profits there.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Crash 2018: It's History Baby! on: November 28, 2018, 02:58:25 PM
I think this was a lot harder to achieve compared to any other market crash in bitcoins history.

When the prices dropped back in the day it was easily understandable because there was not enough volume at all and the price dropped only couple hundred in total, maximum of a thousand dollars at most.

However right now, it must have been a lot harder considering the price was at around 20 thousand dollars at the start of the year and it must have required so many billions of dollars to be sold and bought in order to drop the price this significantly.

I have seen a lot of people compare this drop to some other ones but never in bitcoin history there has been this much of a drop with this much volume at hands. Even during its peak volumes at 2013-14-15 years the volume wasn't even remotely around these levels. Lets hope we can get out of this soon.
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm loosing. What to do? on: November 28, 2018, 12:56:03 PM
What to do now when things get worse every day, only hold will help us? Who is trying to survive in such a market? Your advice, friends!
If you want to be doing anything now, it is either you are patient, or you are at least trying to take advantage of the market by buying the dips. However, you also need to understand that no one knows the bottom until the bottom is reached and a new trend formation takes place, so unless you know what to be looking out for, you can wait before buying in, otherwise, just be picking it bit by bit.

Patience as long as you have been holding is one virtue you need to imbibe right now as there is no other better way to be approaching a downtrend market than that, but the most important and best way is to be buying more.
349  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best trading platform? on: November 28, 2018, 12:36:28 PM
I think the best platform is BitSeven. Unlike others, there are no delays, there are very low fees, low entry limit. I am very satisfied
Bit what? Is this an attempt to open a new account to try to market your exchange to gullible users who know nothing about the market and their safety ? You really have tried. There are a lot of better exchanges being used with a lot of good reputation over the years, and really, I do not see a reason why someone will stoop so low for an exchange such as yours.

Moreover, those who go about things marketing like this, simply shows no class and why should anyone ever want to deal with a classless exchange ? I have been using bittrex and binance for years and months respectively now and there has been no delay, fee is good most especially for binance which I know they are unbeatable, so maybe, you should tell us something else.
350  Economy / Economics / Re: Markets See Massive Sell-Off, Bitcoin Dips Below $5,600 for the First Time 2018 on: November 26, 2018, 10:44:53 AM
For the time being we see that the cryptoa currency continues to fall steadily in price. And this is at the end of November, when we almost a year expected this time as the last hope for the recovery of the cryptocurrency market.
Bitcoin, according to CoinMarketCap, fell in price to $ 4,286 and has a capitalization of $ 74 billion, and ethereum has a price of only $ 124 with a capitalization of less than $ 13 billion.
Will we still see Bitcoin falling to $ 1,500?
Well, that is obviously one of the main things we just have to get used to one way or the other, so in this case, we pretty much can figure out that the bears are still so much in the picture, but whether a sell off or not, who really cares, what is more important basically now is to just stick with the idea that the market is of course giving chances to be picking at the lowest points you can if you have the money to do so, and if you do not, just hold on to what you have if you have been holding all these while.

The market will eventually recover, there is no doubt about that, this is just a scheme to try to get the weak hands out, so if you do not want to end up being a weak hand, be taking advantage of the market now, instead of letting the market takes advantage of you.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What causes a person to become intensely addicted to gambling? on: November 24, 2018, 06:14:59 AM
Well, no one can escape, but you cannot be comparing what you will have to do once to what you have to be doing consistently. Even if life is a gamble, it is pretty absurd for people to be relating that with casino gambling, as they are totally different.

Choose a wise husband from a bunch of boys - at least to do that, won't you study the person you want to spend the rest of your life with first ? In gambling, there is nothing to study than you getting lucky.

Choose a school to study - That is a one-time thing, and I am sure you can easily check review of schools before even entering any of the institutions. This to me does not even sound relative at all to gambling.

No need to even go further! Sure, we cannot predict life outcomes, but we got to do what we have to do, and in most cases, you will always be able to have options, and plan to do things right, to get the best, based on the fact that whatever you need with research on the school you want to go, who you want to marry or where you want to work can be researched. Those you cannot get from real gambling.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btc price....what's happening? on: November 22, 2018, 12:44:58 PM
I got shocked today when I woke up , Going down and downer everyday , really what is happening! Th market volume had been decreased redicusely , I'm start thinking that it was all just a bubble that is bursting slowly , I don't know If i hold or not ?!
I was shocked myself and I was actually expecting a possible bounce at the $5k region but with the way things are going right now, there is a possibility of seeing this market going as low as $3k, which is something I am really looking forward to anyway.

Nonetheless, what the whales and institutions want you to see is that the bubble has busted and there is no hope any more, and only if you get carried away by that mentality that you will certainly get affected by the movement of the market right now. There is a lot that would be happening positively later on, and I am sure the institutions want to enter at a very good price before then, so one way or the other; we just got to see how far they really want to be going with this.
353  Economy / Economics / Re: The international monetary Fund urged Central banks to issue digital currencies on: November 18, 2018, 07:27:27 PM
If there is too many digital currencies than the market would get diluted a lot. Right now we already have a lot of shitcoins, now if there is some sort of crypto currency printed by UK or USA and all that than we would be fine but think about it there are hundreds of countries in the world and who would want to get a digital currency that is ran by somewhere like Oman or Pakistan and all that, nobody would want that.

So, IMF should focus that into bigger countries and instead of issue a new digital currency maybe adopt the already existing one into their playing field. That way for example UK can use Ethereum and its privileges and blockchain help into their society and make it much more easier for their population to do something, I don't know how they could use it but people have been playing cat games on ethereum so I guess a whole government can find something better to do.
354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dangers of a HODL’er: on: November 18, 2018, 03:41:52 PM
Can I add one more thing, it is the danger of choosing a wrong storage of funds or coins. Most holders are putting their investment in a closed source wallet or exchange. They buy great volume of coin not knowing that they don't have full control of their funds. Holding should be in an open source wallet (like Holder wallet) so you could see any potential vulnerabilities and get it easily fixed. I always discouraged people to store on exchanges because the fund can be stole anytime tge third party wanted.
Holding is not dangerous; it just basically depends on your state of mind in most situations.
As long as you know what you are doing, you won't have a problem in any situation either you are holding or trading.

At least, before deciding to become a holder, it is simply because you have no trading knowledge, and by understanding the market, the short term volatility as well as the long term potential, then you will know what you are investing into is the future and not now, and you will even take opportunity of anything that happens to the downside.

Always think smart, as that is the best way you can at least get great benefits in anything you do.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason Why BTC will Dump to 2.5K$ on: November 17, 2018, 02:04:19 PM
If Mining BTC Even with free electricity cannot pay the mining equipment in a year, that will be the doomsday of BTC, 2000$-2500$ is the limit.
Normally I would love to sit here and say there is no possible way the price will dump to $2.5k but apparently that type of stuff could happen at any given time. I mean that is really too low and would really destroy all of the interest we have worked to gain over the years but it would also be possibly the best thing that could happen to bitcoin as well.

Yes, all of our investments would worth a lot less than we initially got in but than we will have chance to get bitcoin for incredibly cheap, if it reaches $2.5k it means when it goes to $25k that is 10 times the profit. There is of course, no guarantee that it will go to $25k but I assume it will happen eventually one day, maybe not today or tomorrow but 5 years from now would you be shocked if the price was $25k ?
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts/Opinions Best Dapps? on: November 15, 2018, 11:04:57 AM
Easily cryptokitties by far. They have gathered another 15 million dollars from the VC funding from big companies like google and Samsung and venrock just to get the game higher.

They are running out of the kitties they are basically selling but in reality they will still be making a lot of money if the activity in the game stays the same, right now their discord is so crowded that you can't really follow the messages. Since, the company is making money from the trades and sales of the kitties, as long as there is action going on they will keep making money.

From each sale of a kitty the company is taking 3.75% commissions, right now kitties do not worth a lot and most of them even worth less than the transaction fees and breeding fees etc so they are really cheap, when the prices start to go higher without new gen zero kitties printing than company will start to make even more. Just from the most expensive 10 kitties that was sold they have made over 10 thousand dollars.

Closer to 150 thousand dollars made from just the top 10 kitties, think about how much money they are making daily from all the transactions going on. Dapper Labs found an amazing idea, lets hope they will keep it going for a long time with this activity.
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculating the market? on: November 15, 2018, 06:12:15 AM
Trading and investing in financial markets seem so easy. The market can only do one of two things. It can go up, or it can go down. So why do so many people lose?

https://www.altcoinsidekick.com/blog/machine-gun-preacher
I think forex and crypto are waay too different from each other to make that a possibility. First of all there are regular people doing forex and almost always they lose money there, not initially maybe (some lose right away, some lose later) but in the end if you are not a professional trader there than you will lose your money.

One of my friend's uncle was interested in forex and made a ton of money for a long long time, like couple years at least and than one day lost all he had in his savings account, it can take a long time before you run out of luck but it will happen. The reason why banks and professional forex traders do not lose like that is because they have a lot more capital than you, if you lose 100 thousand dollars in forex you run out of money probably, they can reinvest 500 thousand to get that back. That is why they succeed.

Crypto is not like that, most of the population here is not professional traders, its people. Professionals are not here yet.
358  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pain of holding bitcoin in 2017. on: November 14, 2018, 04:06:40 PM
All that is required is even patience, but of course, there is no way anyone can even have patience without realizing what they are investing in, the potentials or why they should be looking at the long term in the first place, and all these things will most definitely affect their judgment as well as the way they basically think.
Well, that is usually the problem for most people. They tend to concentrate so much on the pains they are feeling because of some occurrence that is not even meant to be painful and just for the short term, that they always end up missing the opportunities that is available.

I know it is hard for a lot of people who came into this space in the late part of 2017 and now are really regretting they did, but that is the thing, simply because they did not realize their mistakes and they still have not realized their mistakes which balls down simply to at least trying as much as possible to understand the space and know what is possibly available in the future, they just end up getting pained for nothing.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep your head cool in front of fluctuation on: November 13, 2018, 04:15:26 PM
This is actually the only thing to do right now, prices are down and there is nothing that anyone can do for the market besides hodl the coins and wait for the prices of the coins to recover. I really don't see any way that anyone would be able to make money from the way the market is down right now. Selling now is not even an option for investors right now
When it comes to keeping your head cool in front of fluctuation, always must know what you are doing. For instance, if there is a huge storm in front of you and you know you have the skills, experience and the knowledge of how to walk through the storm without being affected, I am sure, you will always have that confidence to approach it without a shaky mind, knowing that you have been trained to do it.

This is the same way trading should be approached, and before you even learn, you should understand the risks first as that is the only way you will push yourself well to learn the things that are necessary and practice to a very good extent. Making money is one thing, but being smart about it is another thing.
360  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you think that crypto exchanges are dead? on: November 11, 2018, 01:58:37 PM
~snip
Unless we really want to be deceiving ourselves, everyone in this space is just busy looking out for their own pockets. I know centralized exchanges really speak against everything that the decentralized space is all about, but right now when it comes to usability, features, and liquidity, they just seem more like a necessary evil at the moment when compared to decentralized exchanges.

Not sure what the future holds, but at least for now we just have to do with what is available isn't it ? I know the risk is huge but one way or the other, since there is not much of a choice, we will just have to find a way to keep minimizing the risks, which in this case, I spread my trading fund across 3 different exchanges, and I do not put on exchange what I am not trading; as simple as that.

Crypto exchanges are not dead but whether they will in the long run, that would only be possible with something that will hit the whole space in general for us to have every exchanges hit.
