So does State trump Federal when you want it to (weed) but Federal trumps State when you want that to (Marriage)?

Yes. If the feds were to say same sex marriage is not okay, and states did it anyway, I would support that as well. That's because I support basic civil rights for human beings, marriage is one of them.

that's some screwed up thinking there.   Really there are no principles involved here at are, are there?  It's all about I want what I want and it's my right to get it my way and screw you.  I am able to change my opinion here if you can present a logical method to show why your approach doesn't just mean no principles, and no rule of law.

Yes, supporting giving people their rights back is horrible of me.
Look can we just have some honesty here?

You see something okay in Fed enforcing the marriage thing, but not in them enforcing the weed law?

So who gets to pick and choose when and to whom to apply "law" to?

Leaving aside for the moment that this constitutes the very reverse of law, who?

No hiding behind vague slogans please.

What's wrong with the current system? If you are trying to convince me that states should have final say no matter what, you won't. The history of civil rights abuses have proven it to not be the best method.

You say that you want me to be honest and stop hiding behind slogans, while at the same time ignoring my comments, and trying to bait me into a states rights debate that's been had millions of times, so you can hide behind your slogan of states rights. Civil rights>state's rights.

Then... The gays has no rights to force her to re-sign a document that is perfectly legal, and already signed and 100% valid. Would you agree with that?

Somewhat, but they do have a legitimate bone to pick in that they are being given "special" licenses. Seems like a scarlet letter to me. I'll leave that to the courts to decide.

You can't even logically process your own bias. The court said the paper signed was valid. "Bone picking" has nothing to do with it, unless it was a political move by the gay couple, not based on #lovewins. There is no need to go any further. They are married. The Scarlet Letter will be on the face of the gay couple forever because they wrote that Scarlet Letter themselves, accepting to be a farce for all the world to see, a martyr for others like them to be free from people like davis, and send her to jail.

They should accept their martyrdom fully and be happy, forever and never.

Then it'll be tossed out of court, or the judge will tell them to fuck off. People have the right to air greivances if they feel they have one. Don't be so quick to blindly accept something an authority figure says, just because it lines up with your personal beliefs.

She's an elected official, she refuses to do her job, refuses to resign, she can't be fired, thus ends up in jail. I don't think she deserves to be in jail but she needs to leave her religious bullshit at the door where it belongs. Religion has no place in politics, it's just a convenient smokescreen to excuse bigotry and hatred.

Your are not alone here.   I get into arguments all the time over this very same thing.  Religion and politics do not mingle well and should not work together either.  If your an elected official you should keep your beliefs to yourself.  No one wants to hear them anyways.

Why pick on religion?  Is it somehow unique from other personal beliefs?

Let's NOT ENFORCE the federal law on IMMIGRATION and BORDERS.

Let's NOT ENFORCE the federal law on MARIHUANA.

FUCK YEAH, let's slap it to those religious bigots WHO WANT TO DISOBEY THE FEDERAL LAW.

Are you guys insane?

Religion has very little to do with it, it's about the rights of the people to get married. Religion doesn't give you the right to take someone else's rights away.

You are right.  It doesnt. But people in and that are highly religious and see things only there way need to understand this.  Most dont.  They think it is this way and this way only.
I dont see it much different as me blocking the door to a church.  Im blocking the door because I believe you shouldnt attend church.  So I wont let you.   I would never do that but.  Wouldnt be much difference.  Kim Davis should sit in jail for a while and be made an example out of.  She is in no place to say what happens to someone else.

They should lock her up in a room filled with lesbians.  And have them talk about getting married all day.  Wonder if it would deive Kim nuts?   LoL

Where was the National Crime Agency, MI6 and the Scotland Yard doing when this kid created 90 different twitter accounts related to the ISIS, and gained 24,000 followers? Were they sleeping? How difficult it is, to arrest everyone who is spreading ISIS propaganda through social media mouthpieces such as Twitter and Facebook?

I hear ya.  You would think someone would have noticed.  Hell if I did that one even 1 account I am sure Id be caught.  But 90 the way they watch social media today is nuts.  Either that or this boy was or is a smart one.

As much as I believe in the eradication of religion, I can't condone the shooting of innocent people for their beliefs.   Undecided

Me either.  Think people take some stuff a little to far.
344  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it possible for a country to adopt Bitcoin as its official currency? on: October 03, 2015, 02:36:24 PM
It would be possible.  But highly unlikely. Plus they would be able to just make more.  Hiwever it may make it worth way more if that were to happen simply because of supply.  Dunno just what i c is all.

Would be cool though.  Would be nicebto see the price go back up.
345  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Peeple: The App From Hell? on: October 03, 2015, 02:31:16 PM
Wouldn't you be safe as long as you just don't install the application?

I don't think that part would matter.  If they really wanted to piss everyone off and gain more traction (I think this is what they actually would want to do) I think if you aren't in the system already they would just make a new review and put your name on it which then they will make you apart of the system; whether you want to be on there or not.  This way, if/when you find out you are on there, it will make you want to get the app and dispute the bad claim or possibly just see what the person said.

But yeah, this is going to be bad... I can feel it.

Exactly. I cannot see anyone having made this app having good intentions. They seem to have "sold their soul" to get money. Make an app that teens, and tweens need to use because of peer pressure and the usual amount of "popular" people who will want to rate their friends to be on top, and then rag on the others, leading to the others to commit suicide or fall into depression.

This shouldn't be allowed. I'm against banning things, I believe in no censorship, except when it hurts someone. A profile for a person should not be able to be created without their consent. Period.

But that's obviously the point of this app from hell.

Wonder how this app will go over with all the anti bully groups?  I am sure there will be some suicides over it.  Somewhere sometime anyways.
346  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: October 03, 2015, 02:26:46 PM
....So if your government said we are banning guns would you shoot anybody who tried to take your gun away..
If you answer yes..THEN BE PREPARED FOR WAR..I can see what will happen give it 5 to 6 more times a mass shooting THEN THERE COMING FOR YOUR GUNS Grin Your country will be begging to ban them soon WATCH You will be out voted ..
Once your out voted there gone..
let face it making money criminals don.t walk in schools and shoot kids they rob you for cash..
No one cares if you get robbed only people who know you who care.
but when people walk in schools shopping malls and open fire..then everyone cares..and i see this sort of thing happening a lot more times ..more people loosing there jobs MORE MADNESS..
plus your population is growing with less jobs..MORE MADNESS..
they have already practised JADE HELM.. Cheesy Cheesy a joke by the way..or is it? Cheesy Cheesy
who knows was this a practise to prepare for when they vote for a ban on guns Cheesy Cheesy

I can understand why you want to keep your guns..You must feel safe as houses carrying a gun.
I would walk around like JOHN WAYNE if i owned one Cheesy Cheesy
GET OFF YOUR HORSE AND MILK YOUR COW Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

But the problem is to many mass shooting because to many mental people ..
And no you cannot just ban mental people from using guns because anyone can turn mental at any stage in there lives ANYBODY
plus more die with a gun not threw theft crime but by somebody you know
also if they do ban guns your crime rate will go up..So you need to give stiffer sentences for carrying a gun..NO not every criminal will give up carrying a gun but not many will pick a gun up with a 25 year sentence ..so less deaths..
REMEMBER no one cares if you get robbed only the people you know who care..
But when a school gets shot up then people care..
ANYWAY GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR MINI WAR COZ THERE COMING FOR YOUR GUNS
SOON very SOON

You know, Popcorn, a lot of people agree with you.  It's so unfair.  Guns.  Dismemberment Services is against gun control.  Advocacy for Home Invasions, LLC is also totally against guns.  Guns create a hostile work environment.   Your local violent criminals work hard, every day.  They are faced with the possibility of being shot when on their jobs raping, murdering, and mugging.  It's so totally unfair, we should Do Something.

348  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isis claims responsibility for death of Italian man in Bangladesh on: October 02, 2015, 08:10:19 PM
It could just be somebody posing as Isis making that claim. These news articles are just going too ISIS crazy

ISIS has gained a cult-like following in many of the Southern and South-eastern Asian countries, with their beheading videos and stories about sex-slavery. There are large number of men (and women) in countries such as Bangladesh, Malaysia, India, Indonesia and Myanmar, who would join the Islamic State if they get a chance to do so.

Seems like now you just dont know who exactly is ISIS.  When claims are made it may not be the group it self but others that are for them or pretending to be them.   I have to agree with you.  It is possible and I know there are followers who are just that  followers.
349  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If Spain crumbles... on: October 02, 2015, 07:24:45 PM
I guess Spain won be Spain any ore will it.  Wonder who will take it over and what the new name will be?

Spain will remain as Spain and Spanish will remain as the official language. If you look closely, most of the rebellious regions are having their own languages and customs, and they don't want their lives to be dominated by the Spanish. For example, Catalonia has the Catalan and Aranese languages, Asturia has the Asturian language, Galicia has Galician, Basque has Euskara, Valencia has Valencian, and the other regions have languages such as Aragonese, Leonese, Cantabrian, Extremaduran.etc. Once these regions break away, only the Spanish speaking regions will be left with Spain.

Makes sense.   I know a few people from spain and they mentioned the same thing to me before.   It will always stay the same.   More then likely anyways.

What if we had a white parade?  Would we be considered racist?

I am afraid that it will be so. Any other parade other than a "white parade" is OK. You can have a black parade, Yellow parade, Red parade, or even a Brown parade. In case you want to organize a white parade, then you better claim that you are some 1/16 Cherokee or a 1/32 Choctaw, like some of the leftist loonies do right now.

I know it would be considered racist.  That is why I asked.  Just dont see how there can be so many different parades with nothing really said and if we decided to have a white parade what would really happen.  Wonder if anyone else besides whites would really join in.

Could be an interesting turn out.   Was and am curious is all.   Hell im always curious.

No, "control laws" won't fix a problem like this.  The only fix is to recognize that long nutcases will arise out of nowhere from time to time and they will go out and do their thing.

"Control laws" will not control that.

Next, allow the people to protect themselves against this risk - fully - by allowing those who are interested to concealed carry.

Once this is done, the bad guy will always know when he faces a crowd of what to him are targets, that they may and probably will, shoot back.

Oregon DOES HAVE a concealed carry law, and does have the "Castle Doctrine."  So here the problem stems from the Community College itself having pacifist rules creating a target rich and safe environment for the shooter.

Everyone should be able to defend themselves in any case.  I carry daily.   I don't conceal either.  I have a full size on my hip fully visible to everyone.  18 rounds to boot.

Not only that I have had many people come up to me and say they wish they seen more of it.  Some say they feel safer while others say they dont.  But for everyone who knows me always say they want me around as I am one of the only ones in the area who never conceals my firearm.

Hard cases (boo hoo OREGON bluh bluh bluh bluh) make bad law, precisely because waving the bloody shirt (ZOMG THINK OF THE CHILDRENS) is a logical fallacy.

But you have fun casually (yet self-righteously) relinquishing the freedoms our Founding Fathers fought to enshrine in our Constitution.

Agitating to abandon a longstanding foundational cultural tradition (like RKBA) because of a singular emotionally traumatic event is a very female (and Marxist) reaction.  That's why we didn't let them vote until recently, and why everything has gone to shit since we did.

Wife beating?  Blame the inanimate Thing (booze) and ban alcohol!  Viva the Women's Temperance League!  Prohibition forever!  What could possibly go wrong?

Crazy off-his-meds and/or jihad guy massacre?  Blame the inanimate Thing (gun) and repeal the 2nd Amendment.

Let's just roll over and let a nice, strong tyranny have its way with our ovaries.  At least our precious offspring be Safe.  Better raped in safety than free and dead, right?

No.  No, no, no!

Fuck off to the kitchen and make me a sandwich.  You are not qualified participate in a serious discussion regarding matters of life and death.  Go watch the baby and nurture something.

Let me be clear.  Domesticated, servile, asinine people like you are the exact reason why democracy has failed.  People who don't own property/pay taxes, and have never been eligible for the draft, have no business voting.  It's a blatant conflict of interest.

Do not presume to impose your short-sighted, risk averse emotional responses on free, rational individuals.  Or you may be harmed in the attempt.

I find it funny that the woman I know (myself included) are arguing for us to keep our guns, and the men on this forum are arguing over us losing them, yet you blame women.

I would say blame the men who have gone soft and forgotten why we were allowed the right to own guns in the first place.

Exactly right! However, the men have a little bit of an excuse... about not being MEN I mean. The excuse is the church. The church says that people are supposed to obey their government, And the good, church-going men simply don't think to ask: Who is my government? How did it get to be my government? Did my parents understand this stuff?

There are two ways in which people become part of a nation:
1. They agree to it and are accepted by the nation as one of its own;
2. They are forced into the nation and Stockholm Syndrome sets in.
That's it. There are no other ways. If one asks questions, and another else says that the one is part of the nation, perhaps there is some slave-making going on.

Guns are for putting down the slavers who don't obey the law that says no more slavery.

I encourage you all to consider how and why you are a part of the nation that you are a part of, be it a formal nation, or the temporary "nation" of the rapist trying to foist himself on you. And if it turns out that you never voluntarily wanted to be part, and that you don't want to be part now, get your guns, join with like-minded folks, and get the slavers off your back.

Just stumbled upon this article published today. I know a lot of you guys play computer games so I thought I'd make this heads-up post.  I don't have any pirated games on my Win 10 PC but I have on a few occasions in the past tried cracked PC games (I'm mostly a console gamer (non-pirated) ) . It is not clear whether Microsoft intends to forward the data it collects to the authorities.

http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2015/08/17/microsoft-is-allowing-itself-to-detect-pirated-games-on-your-windows-10-pc/

It seems that every new release has its own "trojans". Even the new updates for Windows7 are said to contain software that steals personal user data... I guess the solution will be "upgrading" to Linux Tongue

I was thinking this as well.  I like the user friendly approach of windows but makes me wonder if it is really worth it.   May head to redhat or something.   So many options really.  Guess it depends on what you want to do and what packages you need.

I guess Spain won be Spain any ore will it.  Wonder who will take it over and what the new name will be?

Spain never was Spain. None of the other nations are what they are either. The governments are a handful of shrewd people, who take control, and for their own profit draw up the maps of the world, claiming the boundaries of their pet nation. If your house and land fall within the boundaries, then you are part of that nation whether you like it or not. You gotta pay taxes.

When you go to the store, and you buy a product, you get a receipt that says, you paid xxx money for such and such a product. There isn't anything hazy about it. You know what you paid, and you know what you received in return. But it isn't like this with taxes.

With taxes you never get a receipt that shows what your tax money paid for, and the precise benefit you personally received for your the xxx money of your tax payment. Government is a handful of people ripping you off! It's all about slavery. Government has made you a slave. Your nation has made you a slave within it.

Young people who have a favorite pet, really need to consider writing up a will, that if they die young like in a car accident or something, their favorite pet gets to eat their remains, just so it can be as close to them as it will ever get the chance to be.

 Tongue

In some cultures family eats there dead for the same reason.  Some spiritual thing or something.  Remember reading about it just don't remember all the specifics.

And it gets even better if the life insurance is paid up.    Wink

Oh yeah.   Food and a cash payment and no burial fees. Emm   sounds like a win win.   The extremely poor should think about some of this.  Could solve world hunger.

Does anybody know what happened to YoBit's YOVI (YoBit Virtual Coin)? Seems to have lost about 90% of its value. What happened?
I invested in YOVI a while ago when it just started because it seemed like a good idea. Now that I've lost some Bitcoins, should I hold? Or should I sell now?

YOVI was taken off as a ROM.   Price went up and people sold.  YOVI is now back on as a ROM.   Other then that I have no clue what its doing.  Just seen it.   Today its up like 6833% as of this moment.  Price is mooning.
