How do I register? I don't use Facebook...

Ah afraid that would be an issue, I find it quite amazing that there is little overlap between the demographic that uses Facebook and people who use Bitcoin, but I think that's mainly because most bitcoiners are pretty enlightened people.

Anyway the only way you can currently play is if you register, shouldn't take more than 5 seconds, no need to verify the account.

Facebook is tracking with a capital t.

Identify yourself and all your friends and associates.

Facebook is tracking as much as bitcointalk is tracking, you are connected to the internet via an underwater cable that uses a Y connector so that every time you visit any page on the web and receive a reply a copy is sent to the appropriate nazi "anti-terrorist" law enforcement agencies in your country.

The only issue I see with Facebook is that it gives you a canvas to open up yourself and share all your secrets "privately", in which case you are the one to blame and not Facebook.

In this case we do not require you to have any friends on your list to play and we will also introduce the same game to non-bitcoiners so there will be nothing seperating you from the masses.

Hey there!

We have been working long and hard and are currently in need of testing the core functions of our Texas Hold'em Poker, it looks pretty basic and features a pie "seconds left" timer, provably fair play, chat, room browsing and playing with fellow players.

We have many additional functions on the way such as:
-Levels
-Withdrawing BTC
-Depositing BTC
-Buying drinks and icons to fellow players
-Surprise free BTC emails if the user has agreed
-Tournaments
-"Spider" mode play, every time you fold you are assigned to a new room instantaneously.
-Creating custom (optionally password protected) rooms

Every user is currently given "test" 10.1mBTC upon registration free of charge for testing purposes, all the games are logged along with physical data and are used to improve the user experience and eliminate those nasty bugs!

The information we aim to acquire is:
-Any server sided problems which aren't the fault of the client (such as buying in with more than what you have - in which case the server will disconnect you off)
-We know the GUI is lacking - we have designers working on it currently.
*We know that players can currently re-raise each other without limit which is against the books, this is done on purpose for testing reasons.

You can login and test the game here, works on iPhone, Android, Linux, Windows, Blackberry, Mac, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome and pretty much on any other browser from the last 5 years.

To spice things up I am giving away 0.1BTC to the 20th reply to this topic, NOT counting obvious spam or "rolls".

12 July: From now on we will let every player keep his balance and withdraw it (when withdrawals are going to be enabled) as long as it is not acquired by exploiting bugs in the system.

Affiliates are now up! You pass your facebook user ID like
Code:
http://www.casinobit.net/poker/?aff=23423423
and every account that registers from that user ID will give you 30% of the rake instantly after every game for a lifetime. That's better than any casino I've heard off and we're planning to keep it this way.

I encourage everyone to test this.

Would you guys ever consider a credit system? Deposit bitcoins, then use them to bet so no confirmations needed(after the initial). Like others have said its not fun betting on a random round.

99% of bets are currently placed instantly, other, high amount bets ($50>) are placed whether the needed amount of confirmations is reached. Currently high amount bets are non existent and demands for a built in credit system are seldom, there were also demands for an affiliate system yet it is unlikely to pay out for itself ever.

We are currently working on introducing revolutionary games that the bitcoin community hasn't seen before like in-browser HTML5 Texas Hold'em and we are looking to mainly target it outside of the bitcoin community. Can't really release any more info currently except that the beta will be here soon.
344  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Free 0.01 BTC per user on: June 27, 2013, 12:32:05 AM
Is the free 0.01 BTC offer still active?

Yes.
345  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who else is fed up with the core development team? on: June 26, 2013, 02:19:27 AM
They aren't as professional as they could be but then again they don't make that much profit to fund the development in a professional manner.

I guess it would be nice if a big company picked it up and gave it a push, something like Oracle except for BTC. Imagine a multi billion dollar non-US based company pushing BTC forward.

The team deserves a pat on the back regardless.

348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we want to work with money regulators, or keep Bitcoin unregulated? on: June 24, 2013, 01:46:13 PM
Quote
"We can work with regulators to make sure Bitcoin is acceptable to them. For instance we can ensure that it remains possible to track the flow of money through Bitcoin. We can also ensure that there are options if certain funds need to be frozen and blacklisted, due to fraud, theft, or because they encode illegal data. We can work with them to find ways to apply AML rules to Bitcoin transactions and to the exchanges. There are ways to put taxation into Bitcoin itself, so that taxes are automatically applied when a transaction is made. Maybe even one day we'll be required to prevent dangerous levels of deflation. A lot of these changes are technical, such as improving scalability so transactions can remain on the blockchain, developing P2P blacklist technologies, and preventing deflation."
Wtf i missed this mass of bullshit! And this is what the "foundation" want to do?? Well now i understand why some wants it to disappear!

Sound like a buncha coppers to me, the same way a knife manufacturer shouldn't be forced to make their knifes blunt on purpose so serial killers won't be able to stab people, Bitcoin should remain as efficient as possible and spit in the face of every single person who dares to demand for us to comply with some arbitrary law.

You never see knife manufacturers blamed or put in jail when someone stabs someone else with their knife.
349  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit - LIVE ROULETTE - No Registration - FREE 0.01 BTC on: June 23, 2013, 12:12:05 AM
May 8 2013: Please notice that the minimum bet has been increased to 0.01BTC.

The site says "The minimum bet you can place is 0.001BTC, ...". What is correct?

Updated the "Warning section", the minimum bet on the table is always the valid one.

Thanks for pointing that out, don't know how I've missed that.

He bet 0.01 on red/black and won 0.02 in addition to the 0.01 that I've sent is what I'm saying.

For a problem to be fixed you first need to have a problem...
354  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitSpend Business Indefinitely Closed Because Their Bank Doesn't Like Bitcoins on: June 20, 2013, 02:04:06 AM
my bank manager knows me, we have shaken hands many times. he understand bitcoin, understand my business model so i have no issues continuing to do what i do. and no fear of sudden crazy actions from the bank

Yeah and if the bank's computer model says you are high risk the account will be closed by corporate and there is absolutely nothing your local banker (who has no real power) can do.  We did $20M in transactions, generated nearly $50K in banking fees, never had a single complaint, never had a single case of fraud, were registered as an MSB, provided both bank anti-fraud team and local banker a 20 page document outlining our business model and the account was summarily closed by corporate due to high risk nature of our business.

My thoughts exactly, no need to jump to far fetched conspiracies.
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My country's government has blocked accounts of online gamblers. on: June 19, 2013, 12:27:57 AM
And then the "Bitcoin user not affected" meme came to mind.

Anyway, what this means is that anything like online poker and online soccer betting is now banned(or any kind of online gambling) and (some)domains redirect to some Markmonitor webpage.

My money is in my wallet though.

It's all good if you're getting robbed in sunny beach just don't get robbed by people who are abroad or the ones who don't give the gov a piece of the action.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How governments could destroy bitcoin (for most) in one day on: June 19, 2013, 12:18:13 AM
They may be able to kill Bitcoin but they can never kill an idea.

Plus all us tinfoil hat wearing folks would be on our way to forking a new client, we would probably reach the same stage Bitcoin is currently in relatively fast. They will also never get away with that, people are not that brainwashed.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we want to work with money regulators, or keep Bitcoin unregulated? on: June 19, 2013, 12:11:27 AM
It has always seemed to be some kind of backward logic to me, if your company isn't making enough profit you should be removing ads from your website, not adding them, if your governments treasury is getting empty you should be decreasing taxes not increasing them and in the same way if terrorism is becoming widespread you should be promoting liberty, not enslaving people.

Now imagine a country going through a decade of this psychopathic behavior, wouldn't you enroll to defend your country from the foreign invaders?
