Any three pairs that interconnect will do...and rinse and repeat.  I may have to give this a go a little later, see how it works.

It's all about margins and making more than the fees + withdrawal fees...plus SPEED...gotta be as fast as possible on the trades.  Makes me think DGC will be fun to flip once it hits more markets, faster withdrawals would make for much better arbitrage opportunities.

Also, you can create bots to do all this for you on a script.  I would love to learn more about how to use a bot for trades, but I'm pretty sure you want to build your own rather than trust anyone else's, which means I'll have to learn how to build one first.

Markm's image is an excellent way of thinking about the arbitrage process visually.

If we all just took 5 min a day to write and request mtgox, btc-e, and all the rest where there is no DVC yet, to add it, it could really make a difference. really more then just sitting anxious and hoping for the price to rise from doing nothing.
Write them NOW!
I wrote already to BTC-e support to add DVC (again). you all should write them too, let our voices be heard:
http://hdbtce.kayako.com/
and also Mtgox:
https://support.mtgox.com/home
https://twitter.com/MtGox

I'm game...might try the "Write for Devcoins" stuff as well!  I am totally down to write about them...though I know very little technical stuff about cryptocoins.

Has everyone seen the LTC/DVC option at Cryptsy?  Seems like an arbitrage opportunity in there somewhere when combined with BTC/LTC, and BTC/DVC on vircurex.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: July 17, 2013, 05:18:39 PM
I don't really know much about charts...but from the looks of DVC on Cryptocoincharts...we may have just touched the bottom.  I hope that you are correct in thinking the big sellers have all been left with far less DVC...and we can return to massive gains on a very cool coin project, that could very much shape the future of many other bitcoin related projects.

I do own a little, so it's in my best interest for it to rise...but seriously, I like the looks of the chart...last time we were about here there was a massive spike in value.

$25

By the way I am the victim of identity theft, I do not owe anyone anything.

I did not write the above two posts, nor any post on Wednesday 7/10/2013.  I did however, log in
two days later to discover much havoc caused by some random asshole who stole my login info, or
hacked it or whatever, posed as me and wrote a bunch of random shit all over the forum, insulting
senior members along the way.  In reviewing the posts from that day, I find he was gloating about
it here on this post...he bids on this thread, then proceeds to say he is the victim of identity theft.

He seems to be very pleased with himself here...I can almost hear a nerdy cackle through the wires.
345  Economy / Auctions / Re: [auction] 210 BTC of debt on: July 16, 2013, 09:33:37 PM
WTF?!  The hacker that hijacked my account for a day actually admitted to it on this thread.  How incredibly odd.  He placed bids on other threads which fucked up their bidding entirely...at least for you guys he admitted he had stolen my identity for his posts...and apparently the op took him at his word and ignored the bid.

I am seriously unclear what his endgame was.  Seems like some of his motivation was simply to harass me and discredit my name, and I really don't remember pissing anyone off enough to warrant this.  Doesn't seem he was successful at scamming anyone while disguised as me, so why the hell even do it in the first place...I really don't get it.
346  Other / Meta / Re: Lookout for Impostors... on: July 16, 2013, 08:39:38 PM
Or if ATM's are secure because of password lockout after multiple attempts...perhaps forum accounts could have something similar?  If it locked up after a couple attempts, wouldn't that stop this guy in his tracks?  I highly doubt he guessed my password, pretty sure it would have had to have been some sort of password list or program that tries thousands of passwords.

Can that be prevented?  Two form authy or multiple attempt lockout seem like two very viable options for curbing this kind of activity.

Then again, I have no idea how this happened, so it's all speculation...anyone else ever have this happen to them?
347  Other / Meta / Re: Lookout for Impostors... on: July 16, 2013, 07:34:53 PM
Thanks Joint!  This whole ordeal has me seriously wondering how the majority of America runs around with a card attached to a 4 character pin.  50 characters?  The majority of Americans would wind up on an endless tech support call attempting to get a password reset...probably while speaking to an Indian fellow/gal.
348  Other / Meta / Re: Lookout for Impostors... on: July 16, 2013, 05:35:35 PM
I don't know that I would remember a 50 character password.  I am much more interested in adding two form authentication.  Perhaps making a signature that is traceable only to me like John K does with his escrows would be helpful, seems like that would be much more difficult to fake.

He seemed interested in talking to you a lot though Dabs according to the post history...perhaps you know him elsewhere.

I wonder if he was clever enough to have masked his IP, or if the servers would have that on file.  I don't know enough technical shit to know how to look that up...but it would have obviously been a different IP on the 10th than any of the days I logged in.

Start a new life...definitely my intention with bitcoin and crypto...hoping to make enough to start a real life hemp farm...legally.  May also try to grow some medicinal/recreational female varieties.  Cool

Believe what you will.  I have done nothing but try to better the community until the day this asshole decided to piss on a bunch of threads in my name.  Perhaps you established better passwords and have never had to experience this, but it is quite possibly one of the most unsettling feelings I've ever had, to log in and see someone else had stolen my identity for a day.  I don't even really understand his (I assume it was a dude) intent, because there was nothing really gained from the hack from what I can tell, just making me look bad, which if that was his mission, he was apparently successful at, as is evidenced by comments like yours Psy.

I honestly didn't think a very secure password was necessary...thinking, it's just a silly forum account...who cares.  Clearly I do now.

Even now, with this thread...I am attempting to better the community because if you had a weak password, and thought as I thought, my advice is to upgrade it so you don't have to experience this kind of annoyance.  I wish people were just better all around and this was wholly unnecessary.
350  Other / Meta / Re: [SCAM] Ongoing attempt - Phishing link send around in PM, copy of the forum on: July 16, 2013, 03:52:33 PM
Make no mistake, I don't blame the forum...clearly, my password was weak.  I blame the hacker, and myself for not securing my account better.  I'm just saying if two form authentication became available, I'd turn it on immediately.

Also I'm not ashamed that a hacker hacked my shit.  It was weak, and this site in particular is a hacker breeding ground, lesson learned.  I really didn't expect anyone to try to steal my account for any reason...but clearly I should always assume that.
351  Other / Meta / Re: People paid by banking elite to troll this Forum? on: July 16, 2013, 06:52:52 AM
So I get the ignore system, but without also implementing a secondary authentication this leads to situations like
mine wherein my account was hacked, a hacker posing as me ran around every major thread one Wednesday (7/10),
then when I logged in on Friday I discovered a bunch of people had suddenly ignored me and this prick had bid on
multiple posts in my name which suddenly makes me look like an asshole, all the while I was probably sleeping.

Two form authy seems like it would've made this much less feasible, and I wouldn't have landed on anyones shit list.

Yes, I've upgraded my password.
352  Other / Meta / Re: Lookout for Impostors... on: July 16, 2013, 03:31:42 AM
Actually it's simply dog.  Thought I'd trick him by going the opposite route.
353  Other / Meta / Re: [SCAM] Ongoing attempt - Phishing link send around in PM, copy of the forum on: July 16, 2013, 03:27:11 AM
One solution is to enable an optional 2 factors authentication:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178568.0

Nowadays, any website that handles something serious proposes it. And this forum is definitely something of that level, it deserves it.

Yes...wholeheartedly agree 2 form authy!...it really sucks to attempt to build a rep, and log in to discover someone found a way to piss on it in your absence.  In my case if you do any simple googling...you'll find I am connected to me in real life, so finding out a hacker used my account and posted all kinds of non-sense all over this forum was particularly unsettling...2 form would have probably worked pretty well even if he had gotten my weak password.
354  Economy / Auctions / Re: Advertise on this forum - Round 89 on: July 16, 2013, 02:26:06 AM
My most sincere apologies folks, clearly I need to strengthen my passwords across the board.

My account was hijacked on 7/10/2013 and this prick posted on every major thread in the forum.  It's been difficult sorting it all out...luckily it was only the tenth, but he appears to have really done some damage to my name.  Luckily there are a few people out there who recognized my account behavior to be incredibly abnormal on the tenth, but it's posts like these bids that really upset me.  Their identity is unknown to me, and the only thing they really accomplished was discredit my account a little, which is really shitty if you ask me.  I've worked long and hard on building up this little account, writing things that I thought might actually contribute here or there, for some asshole to come here and piss all over it makes me red with fury.

I also connect my account to my real identity, so this is a serious attack on me, as some people believe this guy was me, and I may not be able to convince them otherwise.  Anyhow, I'm really hoping it was just a weak password, but anyone considering adding two form authy for forum accounts has my two thumbs up...makes me think I need it for all my ventures, crypto and fiat.
355  Other / Meta / Re: Lookout for Impostors... on: July 16, 2013, 01:47:57 AM
My new password is much stronger.  Though I am curious if he found away around that, as he didn't bother changing the password, so it wasn't very hard getting it back.  He did change my email though...which sucks because I just placed a Lealana order.  I was afraid he'd tried to change my address on the order to his, since he clearly knew I had ordered them according to one of the posts.  Very unsettling to log in and see a bunch of people suddenly mad at you for something some prick did in your name.

Whatever...I am connectable back to the real me, and the real me did not log in on the tenth...the servers have records of whoever did.

Definitely wishing I could apply two-form factor authentication to my profile for the future.

Disambiguation:

Hey folks, my account was hacked on July 10th, in an apparent attempt to use my account like a pump and dump...post on every major thread.  Yes that is my picture.  Yes I believe industrial hemp to be the future of America and just about every country on the planet.  You can see this to be true by realizing I DO have all my real life personality connected here.  Review my posts up to the tenth and then check out the massive difference in the posts marked the 10th.  I have connected my real life personality freely as I intend to do good business here...and in fact have.

Anyhow, sorry if that prick offended anyone, I certainly never tried to...and am appalled that someone would use my account
to ruffle up feathers...that doesn't even seem like it's in line with his mission to pump the account...why would you piss people off when you're trying to gain credibility...I don't get it.

Also, hell yeah I'm fun to party with!

Oh...and damn straight I've had trouble with the law ladies...you may commence swooning.

I also have twitter and facebook...hennessyhemp

I intend to help legalize industrial hemp and marijuana (in that specific order), as I believe it is an assault on our rights as humans on this planet to keep mankind from a plant which is so clearly meant to be for mankind.  The seed produces a rare chemical compound found in a human mothers milk (and very uncommon in plants).  Whether you believe in God or not...there is no denying this plant was meant to be linked to humanity, and that it has always been here for us.

Making a plant illegal is like saying God was wrong - Bill Hicks

I am also looking forward to getting my coins...any update as to when these begin shipping out?

These are sweet...I can't wait.
358  Other / Meta / Re: [SCAM] Ongoing attempt - Phishing link send around in PM, copy of the forum on: July 13, 2013, 06:10:48 AM
I can tell you I did not enter my Bitcointalk information on any website other than bitcointalk so I am fairly certain it was not phished out of me...I had a weak password...so I am guessing brute-force...but I really don't know much about how a hacker comes to steal my account...I just know it definitely happened July 10th, 2013, and I have updated my password so it is much stronger now.

I am a legitimate user with a real life connection to me.  The impostor only posed as me and tried to pump my account (presumably for scamming) and apparently tried to buy other accounts from another user.  Definitely posted like 50 messages in an hour to try to get my account higher...which didn't work, as another member kept popping up on his threads alerting users he was posting like crazy.  I discovered this whole fiasco on the 7/12/2013.  Password has been updated...but this is crazy...guy was fairly smart and very capable, it's rather unnerving.
359  Other / Meta / Re: Lookout for Impostors... on: July 13, 2013, 01:52:07 AM
Yep...pretty easy to discern my posts from the impostor...but still don't like anyone soiling my name.
360  Economy / Auctions / Re: Advertise on this forum - Round 89 on: July 12, 2013, 11:09:44 PM
Holy shit...this guy is crazy...he hacked my account and posted a great deal...
