221  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Tigerdirect is now accepting bitcoin!!! on: January 30, 2014, 10:31:59 PM
Well, so far they have royally F-ed up my order, and it's proving to be quite the pain in the ass.  Should've sent the funds to Bitpay and gone to their physical store...support techs say they have to confirm I paid...which I did two days ago for an order that should have been here today, but they have yet to ship.

 Huh Angry
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT] Klondike Coin, Join the Goldrush! ★Kimotos Gravity★ [Exchange] on: January 29, 2014, 08:16:08 AM
What is going on with KDC? Is is dropping like crazy. Is the coin dying?

If they are true noobs and not shill accounts trying to pump stats than this is the saloon you want to be drinking from, because it's still early and we're attracting noobs organically without the hype you see from coins like Doge (and priced as the most expensive coin on coinmarket.io).

By the time the first halving occurs, we'll all be saying things like "The Klondike is all panned out"...secretly carrying ounce upon delightful yellow ounce, and a gun.  We've got another two months or so till we're the old timers round these parts.   Cool

223  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll.it - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: January 28, 2014, 08:40:48 PM
Someone PM me if I win anything...I'm kind of sick of checking this thread...after months of dreaming, this has been quite a let-down.

Fiat could have been snail-mailed economy and reached all the winners worldwide by now.  Is this really so hard to pin down the organizers
of this contest?  Not boding well for Coinroll.it, what if I had a stuck transaction...is this the kind of wait I can expect...may as well partner
with Gox for payouts.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT] Klondike Coin, Join the Goldrush!★Kimotos Gravity★ [Exchange] on: January 28, 2014, 08:36:10 PM
Some of the posts on this thread confirm directly what I thought might happen here.  We are going to pull in people that have never mined before, which is outstanding.  This coin may have extra appeal from the crossover of google search terms like "Mining", the amazing Discovery channel show "Klondike", and "gold-rush".  That means organic exposure that may even get extra social media presence from new miners.

I also appreciate the Kimotos Gravity system of difficulty distribution, Litecoin has been left with huge difficulties after massive farms move to the latest more profitable Dog or cat or whatever.

I'm also a huge fan of the fact that this is still mostly unlisted...that works to our benefit atm, presuming you're holding what you mine.

Something kind of fun about being part of the electronic Gold Rush, like we're all Bill Haskell's, minus the arctic tundra and avalanches.

kdc is halved now ?  Huh

No...hasn't been out a full month yet, halving occurs every 3 months.
226  Economy / Reputation / Re: showtimex reputation thread on: January 28, 2014, 07:15:22 PM
Also had good dealings with Showtimex, sold him a 7950, he paid up front, so I shipped and delivered promptly.

I'm in favor of making the list say I won, but good for you if you had multiple accounts and get multiple payouts...cheaters always prosper, that's the message we're after right?

 Cool
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT] Klondike Coin, Join the Goldrush! ★MANDATORY UPDATE!★ on: January 23, 2014, 10:04:15 PM
I might point my miner at this for a while...mainly because the show Klondike has given me gold fever.
230  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Guess who got a HashFast Baby Jet today.......... on: January 21, 2014, 10:35:21 PM
Or plan for delays like I did...Batch 4 just started looking a whole lot juicier with actual shipments and tons of people getting out of line early!
231  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll.it - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: January 18, 2014, 02:27:07 PM
Wouldn't be the first time cheaters got disqualified and knocked me into a winners seat.

Good luck to all legitimate players...hopefully they will look into these fake accounts and
make a ruling based on 1 entry per person...probably even easier to look into now that
"the winner" has logged in...probably on the same ip as some of the other "winners".

Between the fake accounts and the extreme delay, this raffle has been somewhat of a
let down, that and the initial list doesn't include my name.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaires dumping stocks, what will it mean for btc? on: January 04, 2014, 11:41:08 PM
I fell for that too...even posted about it.  Truth is Billionaires buy and sell quite a bit, and often, so what they are saying is simply a sensationalized and dramatized telling in the hopes that you'll buy the stock the ad at the bottom is promoting.

I have been under the belief that we have hit a triple top reversal point with the S&P 500.  This was a conclusion I reached the day I learned what a triple top reversal was, and while I found further evidence of it in sensationalized articles like the one you described, I simply looked at a long term view of the S&P500 and it was right there.  Apparently Bernacke and QE are steering the markets upward right now...curious to see what happens if they lose grip of the reigns.
233  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll.it - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: January 04, 2014, 08:16:17 PM
Well...at least I had fun dreaming about what I would do with the 50 Bitcoins.  And who knows, maybe someone did the list wrong and I've actually won...has Scrat been on to confirm the winners?

If you want help spending your winnings, I've got a couple Casascius Series 3 coins I'm looking to unload.  2.1 BTC shipped worldwide, mint condition in vacuum sealed bags.

That is of course presuming the winners ever get paid...any word from John K?
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: January 03, 2014, 09:58:07 PM
Who the heck is moderating this thread? All this name calling sucks: crime-in-progress or not. Also for timelines, accusations, etc.. make a new freaking thread and just link to it. Not only will it help Mastercoin by filling more of the 'noise-space' of alt-coin land, it will keep threads like this clear for others.

I'm not sure how long many of the people in this thread have been around in bitcoin talk land, but lots of great projects were permanently derailed because of people getting worked up. Take it to your own thread if it has to be said, but don't pollute the main mastercoin threads so that all anyone see's when they come to check out mastercoin is name calling.

100% agreed. When I evaluated Mastercoin, it beat the competition for the following reasons:
-Internal support within the Bitcoin community.
-Massive funding advantage.
-The right features, done the right way.

In my view, the problem called out above overrides all those reasons, and puts the entire project at risk.
In the months since I have been invested, I have found myself less motivated and enthused day by day. That has nothing to do with the benefits above, and everything to do with the toxic culture permeating the project.  Projects do not, cannot succeed amidst such dysfunction.

Well fortunately this is a fairly easy problem to fix. Heavily moderate "official looking" threads. People are free to make as many threads as they like and talk about what ever nonsense the subforum mod lets them do. But I think it's important that 'official looking' threads are kept on topic and clear of the bickering.

Couldn't agree more...now can we get back to discussing the features of Mastercoin?  I really wish the discussion was surrounding how to issue/broadcast user currencies and smart properties.  This is the true goldmine underlying Mastercoin, trading Mastercoins will eventually seem royally stupid, much like Bitcoin I operate from a "Gotta catch 'em all" mentality...or at least the more I have today the better off I'll be tomorrow.

Have any user currencies or smart properties been issued already?  If so, are they live on the network, or are they tests?  I'm really interested in playing with the protocol layer and helping in whatever way I can on this project.  Hopefully it helps me profit enough to own and operate a hemp farm in America, and if there's a way to add commodities like hemp as an option, I would love to get in on that now.
235  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinroll.it - Dice rolling game | Instant bets | Off-the-chain | 1% House edge on: January 03, 2014, 06:09:48 AM
You can't change your address on that thread, as it has been locked by the moderator.

I know because I tried and the only option was to "delete".  I haven't adorned this banner for half
a year to throw it all away now!

236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: . on: January 03, 2014, 03:50:36 AM
I so hate this troll that hijacked my account...hopefully people will see the difference between the moron who wrote this shit and me, who is sometimes moronic, but well meaning at the least.

I love Bitcoin, and all things Crypto...just ask anyone who knows me in real life, I can't shut up about it.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Fibonacci SCRYPT ASIC Litecoin LTC Miners - Datasheet Posted on: January 02, 2014, 05:36:18 PM
Does that include power cost and everything else ?

Everything except a small fee to cover power. Each trusted host will likely have their own rates.

PLease help me understand and clarify if I have my numbers wrong. for 5400Khs X .90 it would run me $4860.00

I currently have a set up which runs 5400 khs and cost me roughly $5000 GPUs, the power costs me $5 a day, but I can control and switch to whatever scrypt I want at any time... Am I missing something? and Alpha which I am thinking about pre-ordering is providing 25000Khs for roughly $9000.

Please clarify if I am understanding wrong, thanks . Huh

Pretty sure that about sums it up, time of delivery is key for both this project and Alpha, as it is with most mining...though as far as I can tell...we're all early.  Even the damned usb miners are delivering ROI for people that got in when they first came out, and I suspect anyone buying the hardware today will be greatly awarded for doing so ten years from now...probably much sooner...but especially in ten years.
238  Economy / Economics / Re: Bloomberg: Is Global Finance a Ponzi Scheme? Ask a Russian Expert on: December 31, 2013, 01:51:18 AM
I know I'm resurrecting a dead thread here, but I have to voice my thought that the full extent of Ben Bernanke's Ponzi scheme has never been fully realized by the global economy, and I believe that was the one that did exactly what you describe here.  The Royal Families were investing with Bernanke, hence their financier killing himself in his office upon Bernanke's arrest.  In fact...I believe we're at the top of a triple top reversal in the S&P 500, but the market is being manipulated heavily if not downright driven upward with hot air while the whales exit safely.

This is the biggest house of cards in history...and Bitcoin looks to be part of the winds of change.

239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: December 29, 2013, 03:29:50 PM

So why don't you make a sell order at  http://mcoin.io/#/ or use masterxchange?

Yep, use a legit exchange or do some deals with senior members where you send the masterCoins first and
get positive feedback flowing in.  If you're legit, Tomatocage will probably remove that warning, and perhaps
the other two would consider removing their negative feedbacks as well...or you're just as advertised and
trying to con people out of their money.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: December 29, 2013, 07:27:11 AM
Hey I've been out of town for a lil bit with family so I need to revise my sell order. I have now 190 mastercoins and selling them at 0.15 per coin. I am accepting btc, ltc, catcoins, doges, and bqc coins. Make an offer if u want to buy bunches. After this.. I won't be having anymore. I keep getting hacked so I will be done with crypto currency after these are sold.

Trust -4 and you still thinking that somebody going to trade with you? apart of that your price seems to be well under the market price. It looks scam all the way down. Get a grip

I think the reference to Dogecoin in his name discredits him pretty severely right off the bat.

But please don't trade with people that are trying to steal from you.

I just used MasterXchange...which you can now get to via http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/v2/markets/show/masterxchange

Don't get confused with MST on Cryptsy...you cannot buy masterCoin there, the one called "Mastercoin (MST)" is either intentionally misnamed or unfortunately timed.  MSC is not like a standard sha256 or scrypt alt-coin and cannot be mined (people bought in somewhat like an IPO, so before you go screaming premine, understand this is entirely different, it's an overlay on the existing Bitcoin protocol, making it rather unique to date).

This may be redundant, but I think people need to see some sort of notice about this all over the place because it's misleading at the least.
