the only difference is the middle letter. ICOs are scamming people by calling themselves initial "coin" offering and IEOs are scamming people by doing the same exact thing while calling themselves initial "exchange" offering.
the end result is exactly the same with different speeds at which they dump and exit. as IEOs are already supported by and listed on an exchange they can dump and run away faster.
This is absolute a good explanation, if we are to be sincere with ourselves. So many people actual thought that IEO is the saviour, meanwhile it isn't. The early investors of IEO are the ones that get the bulk, aside the project team. Particularly, for IEOs that grow after listing. A time might come that IEO will end the same way ICO ended. IEO can end if they lose investors, as long as they have investors, the IEO will still be there even though the method used only has a difference in security between IEO and ICO but the current advantage is held by IEO. hope they don't disappoint for the future because investors have suffered a lot from fraud |

Altcoins will continue to thrive along bitcoin because the blockchain of each coins are unique that is useful for society. Competion will likely rise as some people want to make their own blockchain. Altcoins still has a future but a lot of them will disapear. The reason is - almost all of them just bubbles which have not real value.

Most of the people who are investing are investing in things they dont understand fully, that goes also for traditional stock investments where people give money to managers who then distribute it over many stocks. The only thing new people would nee to know is to be aware of huge risks with ICOs.
every investment must have the ability to manage the funds owned as an analysis in every part of the project. so when unable to do the analysis you should not do it first but start to learn how to do research and conduct experiments with small funds |

If you want to create ERC-20 tokens it's really easy to make, even there is a generator for making this kind of token out there (you can google "ERC20 token generator")
But i think it's not recommended to create a token without any purpose or just for collecting shitcoin, it won't verified by the ethereum

With the altcoins going down like a falling knife, day trading doesn't look profitable anymore. I would definitely prefer long-term holding, but that too only with either Bitcoin or with established altcoins such as Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. Right now I don't think that a recovery may occur for the altcoins anytime soon. At least for the next 6 to 12 months, we can expect them to go down in value. Short selling may be a good option, but those who doing it should be aware of the risks associated with it.
Day trading is possible too, you may still get some in day trading ,little amount of profit will do , if you know how to play with the market. Every succesful trade will have a profit. Long term hodl is good also if the coin has a potential also and still you have a budget. Daily trading can indeed be profitable if you understand market movements. because in every trend if you can to do daily trading there will be profit opportunities in it. and for long-term investments I think requires expertise in the level of patience when holding, my reference to long-term investments with coins that have a good rating |

Bitcoin mining or altcoin mining? I think that BTC mining is profitable for a while now, i think that BTC has to be over 6000$ ( aprox) to be profitable. The alts are something different story, there are many factors to cinsider, there is no 1 answer.
in the price of altcoin is not yet relevant and I think if you do mining with altcoin still have to wait until their price is higher than now. but with bitcoin you can think again because the current price is good enough and don't forget to calculations needed to mining bitcoin, if you don't find good results mining will take much longer |

i still hold some coin , and hope its will grow.
but , i also sell some coin because the price is falling down and sometimes ill sell a bit if i need money.
i think its good if u hold a good coin for a long term like top 10 in CMC , or top 50.
if you already know that the coin will get worse if hold continues, you should sell the coin and switch to investing with more potential coins. because there is no point in holding down low volume coins, and if you need urgent funds there is no other choice to sell coins and get a loss |

How to choose a good investment project
I understand that many of us do not suggest investing in ICO but I have to say not every ICO scam, invest in IEO no matter how much the stock exchange is better than investing in ICO.
However, these steps help to judge the project.
1. The team behind the project, it is extremely important to see who guides the project, experiments, are they able to implement the road map.
2. The idea of the project, what the project solve, is the project can change something or introduce something new.
3. What has been done and are there any steps the team is taking to prove credibility.
4. Is the project is ICO or IEO, IEO will be better.
5. How many exchanges the project listing.
6. The type of the exchanges(however this is not issues as some project cannot go with top exchanges, top exchanges required a lot money).
7- check (twitter, facebook, telegram, website metrics).
8- It will be good if the project has ann on bitcointalk forum.
About the number 5 point of yours there is no way new projects will open up for you about all the exchange they plan to list on, you can only know the present exchange they plan to list, most new projects don't list on more than one exchange and that is the end Most new projects write down the main target market that they are targeting but are very difficult to happen. therefore for point number 5 I think it is quite important because if they make these targets the project must develop to their maximum potential. but to reach the main target market must go through several stages in order to be achieved |

The idea that all ICOs are trash is false. Most of the big projects and coins we see on the market today are kind courtesy of ICOs. However, there is time and season for everything and as technology and developments advance, new strategies and ways of doing things come into the seen and this is why ICOs have been overtaken by IEOs.
if you see the history of many coins successfully developed starting from the ICO but for the current project they are not able to prove that the ICO project will provide benefits and the security they have provided cannot yet be maximized and therefore the development of IEO is starting to be in demand. so to say that ico is Trash you should read some of the history that exists about ICO |

XRP for long term investment, xrp price are regular not much drastical change and a can say its xrp more likely stable. But if btc had a huge pump xrp can also get a gain. As it is now, when BTC experienced a drastic increase of 30% in 24 hours, XRP also experienced a 10% increase in effect.
xrp is good enough for investment, usually they get more profit when btc is in a pump trend like you said. so I think xrp can indeed be a good investment reference, with prices that are still affordable and price movements that I say are interesting |

Doing research first is important for new exchangers, have high risk if you invest and always be careful, but i suggest if you wanna to invest in IEO it is better to choose exchangers that have been operating for a long time in crypto

It's not about being experienced or non-experienced, for sure there is cash to be made and many has made good money from bounties but it's now different because one thing that makes bounties thrive is ICO and IEO and presently those things are presently suffering and this means that bounty campaigns are suffering too.
