3421  Other / Off-topic / Re: The New crypto Investment project Concept "crypto pool" Cmon Jump in the pool on: December 27, 2019, 08:01:47 PM
I compared to HYIPs since it's the most popular Ponzi scheme on the web, but I could have called it B. Madoff, a matrix, a revshare , a shit MLM, or the MMM-bank.
Your idea is no different, just a different name, different setup, a website, etc but the same business model behind.

Look, you admitted yourself, the last investor will lose money. Then you mentioned creating a second pool, to help to sustain the first one. Nothing more to say. I don't care the fact it's something related to cryptos, I have seen enough scam schemes like yours over the years and sometimes with very complex schemes to make it hard to deter. Certainly more than the average Joe.

The pool isn't monetizing anything, won't produce something, won't make money by doing x, y, z. It only survives with the money invested by the new members joining.

If it was so easy to become rich, why poverty still exists in 2020
3422  Local / Débutants / Re: Dans quels bountys se lancer on: December 27, 2019, 06:28:27 PM
@Cduff

3423  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-26] Binance Blockade of Wasabi Wallet Could Point to a Crypto Crack-Up on: December 27, 2019, 12:32:08 AM
For sure we will see more companies following the path but it's a waste of time and resources. (it's not only about Wasabi/Coinjoin btw, but it's also the whole problem with tainted coin)
Samourai's wallet has a feature to help in creating decoy transactions. If an exchange monitors the last x transactions then make x+1 decoy transactions to yourself. Anyway, with the Bitcoin development, all this won't be relevant anymore, like people looking to buy "clean bitcoins" at a premium price
3424  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinmama not detecting payments on: December 26, 2019, 09:34:19 PM

Totally unrelated to what @OmegaStarScream is talking

He's talking about selling BTC with a SEPA transfer, he sent the bitcoins to the address correctly but didn't receive the bank transfer; and you come to post links about people buying bitcoins with a debit card  Cheesy

The first link explains when the payment card is rejected and the second is from someone who bought bitcoins got his card charged but didn't receive it

SEPA!
3425  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: December 26, 2019, 08:47:06 PM
What about someone who hasn't used the forum for months?

These members will continue to be able to wear old signatures, but they can't put another signature if they haven't got any merit in the last 3-4 months.

What about business owners (who usually only post updates) but never receive a merit point?
What about the valuable posters who receive rarely merit (Many cases could be found especially in local boards if there is not Smerit source) but their comments worth a lot more than the majority?
What about the users who don't care to participate in a campaign but would like to promote something in their signature space?

If forum members willing to promote something in the signatures, but at the same time they can't get any merit points, then I think such users might have been able to make a some fee to the forum, once every few months, in order to edit their signatures.

As for users who write good posts but don't get merit, so there's a special topic for such cases: "Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source".

What about if their old signature is outdated, redirect to a hacked domain, outdated discount code, dead blog, etc So many examples.
LOL, if we listen to you, in some time you will suggest paying a monthly fee just to open our mouth
"Special topics": the type of topics we call, introduction to beggars and prostitutes. Not all members here are Smerit prostitutes
3426  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best way to mix bitcoins on: December 26, 2019, 06:20:06 PM
If you wan't to mix your coins then just go with a legit mixer out there and don't settle for an online casino or a BTC wallet to mix your coins for you. If you think you are getting robbed because of the fees in mixing coins, thats because they are doing what they are suppose to do, mix your coins unlike BTC wallets that may require you to send documents when you set up an account.

I don't know anything with casinos but I suppose the wallets created there works the same as the web wallets. It won't help you to mix bitcoins properly.
It's one of the crappiest ways to do this.
Let's say you're using coinbase to mix your coins, it can be easy to find that your address is related to coinbase. At this point, you're fucked. Authorities will just need to contact coinbase to get any information about you (IP, etc) With your IP it takes actually less than 5 minutes to get your address.
3427  Economy / Speculation / Re: nrd525 Market Tracker on: December 25, 2019, 10:21:52 PM
@exstasie

There are other dynamics to consider that could show us otherwise. Personally I noticed people are less excited about the event and they are more skeptical, especially the traders.

If you compare with the last 6 months before the previous halvings in 2012 and 2016, Bitcoin jumped x2.3 and x1.7
There are 4 months left and considering the market nowadays Bitcoin is crawling to me. $12k in September and $7k in December. It doesn't look good :/

A lot of speculators will have to learn about how people reduce risk by moving money into secure investments like US treasuries or cash. This will come as a surprise to the libertarians who believe that bitcoin is an alternative to governments and banks.
Sadly people turned Bitcoin from a payment mean to a speculative asset. 90% of the activity is concerning trading and not real uses.
3428  Economy / Economics / Re: Hong Kong protestors call for sanctions against HSBC bank on: December 25, 2019, 08:44:34 PM
Well, HSBC has been involved in so many money laundering scandals, like during the Panama Papers, (but the bank is well known for that well before) with millions of dollars in fines. It doesn't hurt to abide by the laws, but in this case, it's rather to make a government happy. Especially since Hong kong is highly reputed in the finance industry, they don't want troubles there I guess.
Can't blame HSBC, as the article points out, it acted following the intl. regulatory standards. The blame is, again, on the politicians abusing the power to reduce the citizen's freedom.

I remember we had a similar situation in my country during the Yellow Vests, but the media outlet just tried to install the negativity... again...
The banking cartel goes where the situation is more comfortable, as always #followthemoney. And it's not always on the governments' side. There are also situations where the cartel is against them (broadly speaking I mean).
3429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a global reserve currency? on: December 25, 2019, 07:00:31 PM
Why not?

Since the dollar is no longer backed by gold, central banks no longer have the choice to obey the law of the dollar, they can't even convert their money into gold, since there isn't enough of it anyway. The US has mass printed banknotes without a reserve, keeps half of the international payments in dollars and continues to spread its dictatorship.

The USD purchasing power is failing and will continue over the years. Who wants a currency that worth nothing?

The US debt seems unstoppable and it can only lead to inflation

But now there are many countries trying to get rid of the dollar and its monopoly. We see some examples recently with Iran, France, China,...
What couldn't we do the same, as citizens, with our own currency (Bitcoin or whatever)?

Re:

Are you looking for a free house? Because you can go to jail for such practice, just to let you know.
Seems like you have no qualms about taking advantage of the naivety of people on the web or you have no idea about the business model you're suggesting. But honestly, I start to wonder if you're not trolling me.

If it's so wonderful as you seem to believe, why don't you invest some money yourself in an HYIP, to see what it feels like to lose money? Your idea described is purely the HYIP model, there're plenty, and you can invest, start to waste money, as low as $1.
Now please do it and come again to update your result.
3431  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: December 25, 2019, 05:23:30 PM
I've read a topic that hundreds Bitcointalk users can participate in the paid signature campaigns, but at the same time they don't have any earned merit, except airdropped (10, 100, 250, 500, 1000).

When users receiving money for posting, then I believe their comments should have at least some value for other forum members.

So I have a suggestion: if a forum member didn't get any merit in the last, for instance, 90 or 120 days, then such user will not be able to change the signature.

It should be noted that users without new merit still might have been able to continue wear their old signatures.

Senseless, to me, it's like punishing people because of a few bad apples.

3432  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: www.bwcmarket.com want to improve site and get first vendors on: December 25, 2019, 02:46:34 AM
Do you use any analytics?

If the visitors leave the site in <1 minute, you may have a problem with the design, either the structure or something, perhaps a web designer knows better. (I don't dislike the color but I personally find it aggressive) Did you test your website with different browsers and resolutions etc?  The footer needs to be revisited. Add social icons, FAQ, contact page and stuff like that, you know.
The map isn't working for me, even giving full permissions to the site (cookies,JS...)
Few things here and there.

If visitors stay >1 minute. You may find a problem if you know the last page before they leave.
It could be the TOS page: it could mean they disagree with something and you may be able to adapt
If it's a product category page it could be because they didn't find what they're looking (your is empty at the moment)
and so on.
Many things to conclude with visitors' activity.

This is about the website itself, then you have everything external, like marketing and promotion as @PotatoChips said, social presence and so on.

In this game loser will be Only last investor.

Do you realize with this sentence you just admitted unknowingly the system behind is no different than HYIPs and a matrix? A Ponzi scheme where everything is based on the new members joining your pool and their money is used to pay the old investors.

As soon as the sign-ups decrease the system is set to collapse some days or weeks later, it's just mathematics. But based on your own words when you promise 1000% ROI in 1 week, I would say it will take less than 24 hours ^^

But Once we Open Other pool / pools the Last guy have opportunity to earn as others.
Sure if you keep creating a new pool scamming people the first pyramid will breathe a few days more but still, mathematically both pyramids will collapse in no time like the twin towers.

There is no product behind, people don't even know what the money is used for and you failed to address both points in the original post. A huge red flag

So are we interested or Not?
.

Nope we are not
3434  Local / Petites annonces / Re: BitcoinSOV is looking for French translators on: December 25, 2019, 01:04:58 AM
Concretely you're looking for a translator or a preacher? Because a translator doesn't need to believe in the project, he needs to translate. You're hiring someone and he is paid to complete the task. No more no less. It's not as if you were looking for a promotor who needs to "believe in the project" to be able to convince people.

If you really need someone, I'm sure you will find a way to pay the task with another currency
-------------

3435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trade Your Privacy to ₿itcoin? on: December 24, 2019, 09:50:00 PM
People don't care about their privacy. On Bitcointalk there is a good example, you can see a good number of users praising privacy tools, currencies, and so on but they gave any personal info to exchange platforms for a few bucks, like coinbase that give $10 for I don't know what apprenticeship program. Even selfie, I'm sure if they ask their underwear size they will run to give it too.
It's no different than when you see them saying Bitcoin needs regulations for the mass adoption, I start to see them now crying because Bitcoin is being regulated here and there.
I find it ironic considering Bitcoin is a tool that gives us the ability to remain (pseudo) anonymous.

Can you clarify what giving out personal details for BTC mean? I mean, if someone were to give me BTC just to know my personal details, let's say name age, I'd go for it. Heck, we already did KYC to exchanges so that they could allow us to trade BTC to them and from them. But there should be a personal limit to it. Let's say, my address is off limits, my Birth certificate ID is off limits, stuff like that. You know, information about you that could be specifically used against you, or could be used to take advantage of you. Plus, there'd have to be a legal document stating that the usage of my personal information would not conflict in the boundaries of the law, and would only work with it, not against it(law).

It's not only about trusting a 3rd party and to be afraid to have your information sold/hacked it's also about Big data.
It's like with the loyalty card programs from the supermarket, they can know you and your family better than you. They know when your wife has her menstruation, they know what your children eat, how many showers per day you take, etc, etc. You can imagine a lot of stuff

Me suis mal exprimé, merci @Groswesh.

3437  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: December 24, 2019, 02:54:27 PM
@Atobmixer

If you thought their remarks were unfair, you would have been able to answer them calmly with valid arguments to prove them wrong. This is the recommended attitude for leaders and web marketers: to accept disagreement and to not take it personally.
I remember that you didn't see a problem last week when @Tryninja made a remark to you to improve your service, and you even agreed with his point. Criticism is always good for improvement.

If you consider us as "Chipmixer agents" as you said in some posts you can also say we're pretty bad so. Because you can read many posts helping/suggesting/supporting other mixers over the 2-3 years. I can also tell you that many of us are regular users of such services so it's natural to see us talking about mixers (good or bad)

In a post (which you deleted this morning) you claimed that chipmixer should give money for the damage to your reputation.
I don"t want to look arrogant but wich reputation? Your site is young and has none yet. I could follow your logic and say that you owe money to @Adolph and @tryninja because their reputation is tarnished because of you.
Send 5BTC to each of them Cheesy +1BTC because it's Christmas. You see, this can be a never-ending story.

I know what you're up to and I can tell you that it won't work, you'll be wasting time, resources, and money. You'd better use all that to improve your service? You have surely better to do?
I could do the same, it will take me a little effort and it would be a very easy thing for me. Your domain name is very young and ORM isn't a problem for me. But I won't because I'm not an asshole. Again, this can be a never-ending story.

Merry Christmas to everyone

Got it, I didn't know that. Anyway, it was nice of you to pass on this offer from Coingate to your users. I really need to note the black fridays, every year I forgot!

Same from me, merry Christmas to the team and their family.

Thank you
3439  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: www.domains4bitcoins.com on: December 23, 2019, 09:06:17 PM
You wanted to say rather a scam because a phishing website is when the thief tries to gather sensitive information (username/password/ect)

What kind of business the domain is used for if I may ask? Did you check their AUP to see if you weren't out of it? Did you use a buggy name?
In both cases it's fine and they're right. Maybe they received a DMCA takedown, subpoena, etc.

3440  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust abuse by Atobmixer on: December 23, 2019, 07:13:40 PM
@Atobmixer

The trust system isn't like the traditional feedback sys. we're used to seeing in forums. Here it's more complicated and used differently depending on the person. (There are also users with double standards). I wouldn't say you "abused" it but "misused".  No big deal, it should be forgivable when you're a recent member, you're not the first, not the last.

No need to start a neg' SEO campaign, instead to fight each other we should pull together. More mixers there are, better it is.

The blog a user were talking about should be "bestbitcointumbler" or a name similar.

There are multiple blogs rating mixers and they include few scams in their list perfectly knowing it's a scam. You know why they list them. (i.e. bestbitcoinmixers.com)
