we are on the latest client and have not seen a tx confirm for over 24 hours.
All it will take next time is for 4-8 asics to mine for 2 days and this will happen all over again. How long will users support an altcoin that is taken offline this easily ?
Yeah, that's definitely a problem. Perhaps something needs to be altered in the way it calculates and the rate at which TRC difficulty is changed.

I agree with the OP.
I used to have fun chatting at BTC-e. There were some trolls, but a lot of good people as well. Lately, it has been literally full of trolls and/or people trying to sway the market one way or another. Also, chat goes by so fast you can't hardly read anything.
I think some of the posters in the chat box are bad for ALT coins or at the very least might possibly make someone look differently at ALT coins than they would have before. If the BTC-e troll box is always filled with a bunch of 10 year olds trolling it up, talking about what drugs they're buying next from Atlantis, constantly spewing "U mad bros", or just generally being douche bags, then this reflects on the ALT coin community in a bad light.
The troll box was good for the amount of traffic BTC-e used to have, but now that traffic has more than doubled in size and it is impossible to moderate. I suggest BTC-e shuts it down for the good of the ALT coin ecosystem.
BTC-e, please think about it.

Or you now you can buy TRC on btc-e They just added it a second ago, although no ones transferred in TRC to sell yet, I'm sure they will soon. The price is crazy already just starting out...

with water flowing from my washer hookup back to the drain imho this is so fucking wrong :-( please think about it He has been told the same thing LONG time ago when he was asking us here on the forums. Sadly, the twisted fucker even try to argue (see his post below) with some fcked up reason ever. "Hey man, if i dont rob you, i will even do more terrible things, so yeah.... shuddup yall " I swear his parents are the same. LOL.. It's not really for long term use, I had all the equipment lying around and I was just testing it out to see if it worked. It has only been going for about a month. And what do you know about my parents? Stop acting like you know me.. I've held a job since I was 14 years old... I am no thief. You guys going to bash on me for "stealing" (which it's not by the way- it's not.) Just cause I'm using more water than my neighbors... it's not my fault my stupid duplexes split the water bill in between everybody. Otherwise I would gladly pay it... THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO SPLIT UP MY WATER BILL SEPARATE FROM MY NEIGHBORS.. just be quiet and mind your own business. You want me to go around and give a quarter to everyone in the neighborhood each month? Maybe in a year, they can have $3. Woohooo! I'm sorry for sharing some pictures that I thought were cool... I will never do it again I promise.

What's the point of disappointing people every 2 weeks?
This was my biggest beef with being a BFL customer. "We're shipping October November December January February March April?" They knew damn well there would be no finished products in October, but they insisted they were shipping each month after that as well. The were pulling in more pre-order monies as time went on, because people thought they were shipping next month every month. They are running thin on pre-order monies because of the problems in the R&D (which was funded at the very least in part from pre-order monies) + they've been paying who knows what kind of salaries to themselves to live off of. They're wearing thin on money, so they raise prices of order numbers 99999999999999999999999999999999999 and greater. That's the reason for no more refunds. You may receive your ASIC sometime next year.

Can anyone else that was in the irc chat confirm this?
I wasn't in IRC, but I saw someone else in BTC-e chat that linked to a different screen shot of the same statement taken by a different user. Seems legit.

This is like the fourth thread on this topic Please read though the forums before posting... we don't need 4 threads on the same thing.

I think BFL's price is justified if they can start shipping. I would take this rise in prices as a good sign to BFL pre-order customers... they wouldn't raise the prices unless they were planning on shipping soon IMO. I got off the BFL sinking ship a long time ago, but at the end of the day I want to see them succeed (as long as it's 1 month after batch 3 Avalon's ship. ) If Avalon delivers batch 3 in a month like they said they will, then I think Avalon Batch 3 customers will have 1-2 month ROI easy. They mentioned they were buying a new SMT line, so that should increase production capacity too. ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=162677.msg1711122#msg1711122) All BFL has at the end of the day are prototypes though. It sounds like they have complicated issues left to work out. I saw Josh insisted it wouldn't take them 1.2 months longer like BitSyncom suggested it might. I guess we will see.. I personally trust BitSyncom more than Josh.

Not the first time a scammer tried to use someone else's reputation to scam others... (Can-electric +others)

Everybody Wang Jun Tonight! LOL... that's the first thing I thought of when I read the name as well.

By December we built and sold twenty Dragon 24 GH/s. If they are legit where are those im asking ? Yeah, they made it so obvious this was a scam with that statement. If someone had received a 24Gh ASIC in December, they would have shown it off on these forums already.
|
|

Yes, this scammer put a lot of effort into trying to look legit.
"By December we built and sold twenty Dragon 24 GH/s." LOL- NO WAY ASICs were being sold in December without the community hearing anything about it.
Also, a quick google of their company "Juswa" along with their names brings up almost nothing. If they actually did start a succesful company in 2008 named Juswa, there would be some record of it on the internet...

Also... I meant to add that because a rig with 8 GPU cores (8Gb total Video memory) hashes at the same speed with 2Gb system RAM or 8Gb system RAM, that it uses the video card's memory mostly.

Is there any way to view how many (or percentage of) stale / invalid share what I submitted?
This is listed in the dashboard to the left: Dashboard Your Hashrate 9472 KH/s Paid Shares Valid (Paid): 8000144 Invalid (not paid): 179422 (2%)

Why do you not simply blow the heat outside with your 500cfm?
Because it would exhaust some cool air as well, making my A/C more inefficient.
|
|
|
I dont mean to thread-jack but I have a similar question...
Does litecoin mining use more system ram or GPU ram? I know scrypt is very memory intensive but which memory does it use?
The way I understand it, it uses both, however 2 Gb RAM on the mobo is all I've ever needed for any rig I've built (LTC or BTC.)
