3441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a cartoon movie revealing the secret of Bitcoin and Darknet on: November 13, 2020, 06:54:36 AM
I stopped watching the video when they said that the code came from the astronomical data. The animation was great and I left a like. It is just that I do not feel that the context is not matching the animation. Keep up animating but change the context you are using right now.
3442  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Spotify & Netflix Premium Account on: November 13, 2020, 05:35:39 AM
Sana magkaroon ng services pang Prime Video, Disney+, at HBO kasi nagsasawa na ako sa mga catalog ng Netflix. Ang affordable ng price, maybe pag nagka phone ako na matino dito nalang ako mag aavail.
3443  Economy / Economics / Re: A problem that can’t be dissolved: mission impossible on: November 13, 2020, 04:56:57 AM
Hard to clarify the issue under all this censorship (which can pass as the overarching theme for this thread in itself: the modern plague of political correctness Wink ),

but it sounds like a spousal support / post divorce situation. Solution is to hide and migrate your assets as much as possible from feminist jurisdictions clearly persecuting men in court,

and ideally to get married only under the laws of more fair and just legal systems.
What is more ideal is to have a partner that will have the same financial mentality. It is better to have a partner to get through the problem with someones help. It is not wrong to have partners in this day and age. Independence can cause loneliness.
3444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone know of any nice furniture stores that accept Bitcoin? on: November 13, 2020, 04:14:37 AM
It will be possible although it will be for awhile, furniture stores still have a huge customer base and I do not think that they still have the plan to integrate bitcoin in their transaction. It will happen but with the current volatility it will be difficult in their part. I also wish that in my place there is a store that has bitcoin in their transaction system.
3445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: USA government power over Bitcoin on: November 13, 2020, 03:38:32 AM
Saying that US has power government is an utter BS, I do not think that just because they want to be educate themselves about bitcoin does not mean that they plan something tyrranical. And what is the connection of bitcoin to the foreign policy of US government. They protect their interests which is natural for any government, they want to understand things so they do not have to be caught off guard when things go awry.
3446  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which websites have hit you with random I.D Verification freezes on: November 13, 2020, 02:31:42 AM
No choice but to comply. That's their terms after all. I experienced the same with our local exchange. I can't withdraw to fiat but I can send it to another wallet so not a big issue to me.
That is a big problem in the long run in my opinion, not just for the customers but also for the exchanges. If their compliance comes to the point that it freezes your asset and gatekeeps users then that will leave a sour after taste to the people, eventually there will be a competitor willing to lax the compliance which will be detrimental to the exchanges with a very strict compliance.
3447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public perception of Bitcoin as payment method (survey) on: November 13, 2020, 01:55:19 AM
No one would click a random link provided by a newbie also no one would be interested is sharing their personal details to any random person. At least I am not comfortable!

If you have any specific questions, you can post here in your thread and we will answer those but refrain from gathering persona details whatsoever!
That will be difficult as a researcher, first you have to manually collect the data and then I think most surveys online for research are mostly anonymous and does not ask for personal details. I understand the skepticism of clicking the link in an unknown site.
3448  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Nico David "bitaccelerate" SCAM review on: November 12, 2020, 10:15:53 AM

Halos lahat ng ponzi or pyramiding schemes is nakaregister sa SEC for the sake na magmukha silang legitimate business. Narinig ko lang din yung advice ko na yun at gusto ko lang iimpart yung nakuha ko na advice.
3449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Role of Bitcoin in Developing counties to accelerate Growth process on: November 12, 2020, 09:22:25 AM
The traceability aspect is debatable. The problem with bitcoin though is that it will be difficult to access in low income area that really needs that financial upbringing. I guess if it helps other people, this people will give back to community when they become well off with the help of bitcoin.
3450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use bitcoin? on: November 12, 2020, 08:27:06 AM
Luckily in my country, they do not care that much in individual scale. Also, there isn't that much traction in my country, it is still under the governments radar which is very helpful for individuals that deal in bitcoin. I use most of my bitcoin in expenses that are long term, like a new phone to use or save it and wait for the peak to reach and then get some profits.
3451  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Nico David "bitaccelerate" SCAM review on: November 12, 2020, 07:49:43 AM
3452  Economy / Economics / Re: The Difference Between Staking and Investing on: November 12, 2020, 06:38:54 AM
Investing is more effective than staking coins, you can decide to take profit when market grows better while holding your coins in your wallet or you can even trade too but staking is limited, you can't do anything with your token since it's locked away in the staking address till the period is over.
Investing takes a long time too, the key difference for me is that, there is a trickle of profit for investment from time to time. Staking is like a time deposit on the other hand, the benefit will only be once but it will be big depending on the performance of the product you are staking.
3453  Economy / Economics / Re: Effective Covid-19 vaccine found on: November 12, 2020, 06:01:51 AM
Well, thats good news, not just in the market, But in the entirety, I hope that the Covid19 vaccine from "Pfizer and BioNTech" will be made available to everyone a soon as possible so that many nations can avail and buy it because the Covid19 pandemic has been inducing more damages as it prolonged not just in the economic aspect but also to the human lives as well.
It will be distributed for free, governments will hopefully shoulder the expenses for the vaccine. It will be just like any other vaccines, they will be free for individual consumption. Hopefully, this vaccine will make the economic restart sooner than expected.
3454  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 12, 2020, 05:30:39 AM
I feel bad for the other politicians that are just doing their jobs being clustered together with the corrupt ones. If people only knew how to vote someone that is deserving then I think that will result will present itself. Education about politics and society should be prioritized if we want a population that actively participates in what issue is happening in their community.
3455  Other / Off-topic / Re: Space Debris: A Subtle Way to Doom Humanity on: November 12, 2020, 04:53:31 AM
Now we get to see that governments and corporations don't really care about our well-being. Space debris is bound to lead to a lot of issues, as you've said. And nobody is really doing anything against it at a high level.
Bureaucracy and government funding is the problem yes, but most of the research are still on its early phases which has skeptics on the side, one good funding and a go signal is only needed for this to go full scale. Do not worry, space agencies have a lot of persuasion power when it comes to this and governments know the trillion dollar space industry.
3456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 12, 2020, 04:06:11 AM
So is it our fault that women doesn't become so eager in Bitcoin or crypto just like us?
For me it isn't about the gender it is all up to them we all made our decision and it's just that more men are interested in crypto than women.
It is not really our fault but the fault mostly lies on the formative years of a child, depending on what they are introduced to, then that introduction will grow to be an interest. In our generation, some parents still believe in the old way that men are not equal to women. Hopefully the next generation will be a lot more different, in a way that they let the child choose their affinity.
3457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Turkey as a sponsor in a football match on: November 12, 2020, 03:25:47 AM
That was good! I think it's the Right (?) step to promote through Mainstream media even though I'm not really sure about the Impact but it's innovative. Some of the same things have happened before, such as the Etoro Bitcoin advertisement during Liverpool and Totenham matches or Hex during Aston Villa and Crystal Palace matches.

Maybe not all countries can do that because of different regulations but promoting via Mainstream Media as above and other things like Billboard, Poster is also quite interesting. Anyway thanks for the information mate!
Sports is the thing that brings people together which is ideal for advertisements. Good thing that they are sponsoring them, this will not only be an advertisement campaign, it will also be a public relations campaign to help the people ease their perspective on bitcoin. I hope that other sporting event follow this step towards promoting bitcoin.
3458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin will die then crypto market will die confirm! on: November 11, 2020, 08:57:36 AM
I think the very foundation of the entire crypto universe is Bitcoin. The moment it crashes down for any reason and dies, the entire crypto universe will certainly crumble down with it. If that reason has successfully killed Bitcoin, there is no reason to believe why it would fail in altcoins.

If Bitcoin's death is due to people losing trust and interest in it, the same effect to altcoins is most probably true. While a lot of altcoins have a huge following, I think they are not at all completely independent from trusting Bitcoin, so I seriously doubt they would continue to thrive when the first and main cryptocurrency has already vanished.
It will be far from happening, it has been a decade since the inception of bitcoin. In my opinion, if there ever comes a phenomenon that the bitcoin will lose its value alone I think the market will still be functioning. By the time that happens, a new cryptocurrency will rule the apex and hopefully it will not make any difference. Most crypto has already been established in the market so that will make another assurance that the market as a whole will not collapse, unless everyone leaves then that will be the time when the market will totally collapse.
3459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6 countries have more than 50% of BTC exchange traffic on: November 11, 2020, 07:38:21 AM
I did not expect that the bitcoin exchange traffic is only circulating in 6 countries. I find it surreal to the point that it looks like bitcoin global adoption seem impossible. I can see my country although it is not in the higher tier which is understandable. Mexico seems an unlikely candidate for the bitcoin traffic. I am not speculating nor discriminating but there is something fishy with that. We all know that bitcoin offers pseudo-anonymity which is very useful when it comes to money laundering. My hunch is that cartels are catching up to using cryptocurrency to transport their blood money without the fuss of using mules to deliver the money with the risk of having the border guards and customs seizing the contraband. I am speculating in regards to the ranking of Mexico and I am in no means discriminating or stereotyping.
3460  Economy / Gambling discussion / TOP 10 LUCKIEST LOTTERY WINNERS on: November 11, 2020, 06:57:30 AM
I posted awhile ago about Lottery Winners who blew it all, some of the stories ended in tragedies but some are just unfortunate events. Now I will be listing some of the luckiest people who won the lottery, not just once or twice (some of them won twice but that is up for debate). We may never learn something from them but atleast we will be in awe how their stories unfold.
  • Bill Morgan
    Wins: 2
    Amount: AU$250,000 and a car

This is by far the only one I know before making these list. Bill survived a heart-attack, he tried his luck by buying a lottery ticket and won a car. Bill was then invited to a TV show to re-enact the moment that he won the car and you guessed it, he won again. This time the 250k Australian Dollars. This is my definition of luck and I do not know what is for you but nothing can change my mind. Imagine reviving and the first thing you do is buy a lottery ticket because you are feeling lucky.
  • Robert Hamilton
    Wins: 2
    Amount: $2,000,000

Robert won the amount in the span of three months, the first win was just a whim to buy a ticket and he unexpectedly won the million dollar jackpot, the other winning ticket was won at another local store. Robert was smart about his winnings, he paid all of his debts and bought a house and motorcycle. The odds of winning was 1 in 2.1 million and he is the one in that 1 in 2.1 million.
  • Mary Riedel
    Wins: 2
    Amount: $150,000

Mary’s first win was put into altruistic endeavors through helping her daughter buy a house. Four months after the first win, she won a few dollars but instead of taking the money, she picked another ticket and she won the 100k. She used it to fund her retirement which is a smart move. I envy the daughter in this story because her mother was generous enough to help her get a house.
  • Kenneth J. Stokes
    Wins: 2
    Amount: $546,000

Kenneth won the same jackpot twice. His family had gifted him a ticket to the Massachusetts State Lottery, he had forgotten about the ticket though and in the process bought the same ticket with the combination as the gifted ticket. The money was well allocated in these one too, college tuition for his son, car payments for his daughter and a family vacation for celebration. This story could have gone sideways if he forgot the ticket in a way that he left it somewhere in public, he was lucky that that did not happen after all.
  • Racy Pel
    Wins: 2
    Amount: $50,032,304

Racy’s first win was a big money and his second one does not even hold a candle to it. He was smart about it though, he did not cash in the winnings right away and spent some of it in a car. There isn’t much that I can find about but he seems to have an Instagram, although this handle seems to be a shill for something.
  • Mark Maltz
    Wins: 3
    Amount: $325,184

Mark was just stopping by in the gas station to fill up the truck he was driving. He bought one scratch ticket and won a measly $10, this followed the ultimate luck streak I have heard about in my life so far. He pushed his luck and won another $15 and he purchased 2 more tickets. One of them contains the jackpot. He had some shock after winning but his mind was on the right by considering investing the money. If there is a lucky bar somewhere within everyone, this guy just used all of it to get a luck streak.
  • Calvin and Zatera Spencer
    Wins: 3
    Amount: $2,150,000

This couple just merged their luck and won in a span of months. They first won 1 million on the Powerball then a 50k Virginia Lottery and the next day 1 million in a scratch off ticket. They were not finished yet as they have claimed that they will still be playing their lottery, speaking of pushing their luck. In 2017, they won 100k in Virginia Lottery. That much luck streak as a couple, they could have made a fortune playing high stakes poker game in Vegas.
  • Joan R. Ginther
    Wins: 4
    Amount: $20,000,000

She was considered to be the luckiest woman on Earth except she does not relied on luck, all of her wins are in the state of Texas. Some have calculated her chance of winning to 1 in septillion. That means that the odds stacked against her is so big that it might be virtually impossible for someone to replicate the win. This odds is no match for her though, it just so happens that she is a Math professor specializing in Statistics. This story made me think that luck is for the unskilled, we could still believe in luck but her story is one bad ass move to show the finger to Lady Luck.
  • Melvyn Wilson
    Wins: 4
    Amount: $2,025,000

Melvyn’s first win was in 2004, a mere 25k on a scratch card. A year later, two wins in Virginia Lottery worth 1.5 million. Another win in 2013 came for the guy worth 500k. This man is a retired postal worker, couldn’t say that he wasted his money but hey, the wins.
  • Richard Lustig
    Wins: 7
Amount: $1,000,000 and a holiday trip to Memphis

Richards amount is not that big compared to the others in the list but he is different. He became a celebrity after his wins although there are skeptics about his wins. One Felix Salmon asked if the money he spent on lottery tickets yield him a profit. He wrote books although this was hailed with criticism as the tips seem to not help raise the odds which is understandable because the more people playing then that means the odds will increase.

This is the top 10 luckiest winners or should I say lucky people in general. I plan to do a part two of this post were the wins are spanning the two digit region. I tried to make the list as long as possible but I am tired and I will just stick to the top ten format so the readers will not be bored reading it.
