Australia    vs    England

After day-2, Australia has collected 416 and declared their innings. The highest collection for the team was that of Usman Khawaja. He has scored 137 runs. Smith made 67 runs.
The performance of the England batsmen in the last two matches, I think 417 runs is too big for England. England can make a maximum of 300. However, at the end of the second day, England managed to score 13 runs without losing a wicket. They are only 403 runs behind. Grin

Although Australians are able to make 416 runs in their first innings but they have utilized full 2 days. Now they need to quickly bowl England out or preferably enforce a follow on.
If England are able to make 300+ runs in the first innings, then it's most likely that this test match will end in a draw. England managed to survive the last 5 overs of 2nd day and therefore so far it's good for England.

In my opinion, this match is heading towards a draw. I know England batter has not been performing well but they can easily stay on the pitch for the next two days. They should not chase this target as they will not be able to do so it is better to stay on the pitch and spend time.
This will also help them to avoid a complete whitewash.
3462  Local / India / Re: How many in this community are into NFT? on: January 06, 2022, 11:52:07 PM
I love NFT and holding nfts for future trend. If NFT trend work i will definitely sell in high price.
Currently NFT is looking just art like btc which was low value in start and now trading above 45k.
In future Solono,Luna and Eth base NFT will give me big profit.

What I like most about NFT is that it is not affected by the cryptocurrency market. The current crypto market is in bear mode but the NFT market is still stable and some projects are still pumping. Like any other kind of crypto scam, there are scam projects in this domain too therefore do your research before investing.

Cricket has become a business and there is no denying it whatsoever. With the business in mind, ICC will always try to make IPL better rather than the bilateral series as IPL generates way more revenue and viewership compared to any bilateral series.

And you are right. Having internal issues in boards is their personal problem. Yes the ICC might be able to eradicate some of it, but at the end of the day, it was them who started the downfall of them.
Cricket was already a big business but now with the introduction of franchise system it is taking some better and more profitable shape which is helping all parties in good way like players have enough money with managements are also taking very good profit and many other parties are also having very good change with this all as we already have in European Soccer where many countries going with much luxury style and few have small models but still very helpful for them as they can handle all things in better way now we need this spirit into cricket as well which is not happening due to some political reasons but still many countries can do take some good advantage and enjoy their markets with this all which will more grow in future with time and better experience.

When was cricket a big business? Before IPL I do not think BCCI had those revenues. Only a few exceptional players were making good money through advertisement all others were getting paid what BCCI paid. Post IPL everyone player, the franchise and BCCI is making tons of money. It has now become a complete business, which in a way is good and also bad.

Bangladesh surprised the entire world thanks to some amazing performances. Some of the youngsters in their team have a ton of potential. NZ messed up big-time and they clearly missed Williamson a lot.

Also, South Africa are in a strong position to win the 2nd test unless they collapse. Bowlers like Bumrah etc need to improve their game since they haven't been performing well recently.

In South Africa match is still well-balanced with Elger and Van der Dussen is on crease with 25 runs partnership and now still need 122 more to win just one more wicket before going into double-digit can bring back India into match because this one wicket can bring some good number of more for them in quick way now we have to wait for more 12 hours for all updates.

South Africa will easily win this match, they only need 122 runs and they have lost only 2 wickets. Elgar is still on the pitch and he himself can get those runs for his team. If India is able to bowl out him then they will try to draw this match. I believe that would be an impossible task for the Indian bowlers.
3465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 04, 2022, 11:51:39 PM

Whatever happened in South Africa is specific to the cricket board of that country. Two decades back, they were without any argument the strongest team in international cricket. And now they don't even rank among the top-5. Dozens of talented players were lost to their controversial selection policy. Some of them managed to migrate to other countries and find a place in the playing XIs. But the vast majority relegated themselves in to playing county cricket and never got a taste of international game. Just imagine how strong South Africa would have been, if they had players like Devon Conway, Marnus Labuschagne, Neil Wagner and Jason Roy still playing for them.

They were strongest team with non-native players while they are weak with native players. There was so much discrimination in SA team that there is zero black player in SA team for almost two decades. Let the non-native white players migrate to other countries and play for them. Every country team must have native players, no matter how strong or weak they are.

South Africa cricket board is helpless when it comes to the selection of native or non-native players in their cricket team. The government and people of south africa want their native players to represent the national team. They won't care if the performance of the teams is weaken by this decision. After all, they are satisfied that its the African team who is playing, and not the white English players, playing on their behalf.
The locals of South Africa deserve to be in the team. If they practice they may become good players and good team in future. If you never try, then how can you come out of this bubble and always remain at the mercy of non-native players.

Yes, it will take some time for SA to get back their previous reputation with native players but they should allow some non-native players to be part of the squad after all these non-native citizens are born and brought up in that country only and they are part of the society. In my opinion equal chance should be given to everyone.

NZ vs BAN

Holy shit... Bangladesh is about to make history!!!

9th wicket down for NZ and lead is only 31 runs.
I never expected this turnaround in the match, Bangladesh played really well and they just need 37 runs to win the match and create history. Glad that i did not place a bet on the match because i would have went with New Zealand before the match because i could not see Shakib Al Hasan in the team line up and the batsman turned the match upside down with their first innings performance and then Ebadot Hossain did the rest and i am hearing this name for the first time  Smiley.

This is hilarious the match has completely changed. First session NZ was in control of this match but what happened in the second session is hilarious they themselves were not able to play on the pitch that they created. What a turnaround by the Bangladesh team they only need 24 runs to win this match.
3467  Local / India / Re: Whats happening with Binance/WazirX on: January 04, 2022, 11:23:43 PM
A bit of news about the exchange, which unfortunately is not very cheerful in the New Year, although I think that such fines for a large exchange are not significant and it is better to close them and move on. So in a press release it is reported that the Indian authorities have revealed a violation of tax legislation on the part of the WazirX cryptocurrency exchange owned by Binance.
During the study of the business activity of the platform, evasion of goods and services tax (GST) in the amount of 49.2 crore rupees (more than $6 million), including interest and fines, was found.

Yes, we saw that news but I do not think it is wrong on the government part. If you are earning so much money then why hide tax? The amount is not that big for an exchange like WazirX which is part of Binance. News like this adds to the negative image of cryptocurrency in India. Already a majority of people believe that the cryptocurrency market is a threat to national security such news will give more fire to the rumour.

What is wrong with these two Cheteshwar Pujara & Ajinkya Rahane? You may be out of form for a couple of matches not for a couple of series. Why can't they be replaced by some other talented youngsters who will give whatever it takes to cement their name in the test team? These two are just like government employees now they know they will get paid for doing nothing.
3469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making money while gaming on: January 02, 2022, 06:06:55 AM

Now NFT very popular and actively used in games. A lot of projects creates their own NFT collection or use games with NFT. Some of them very funny like this https://twitter.com/megladoge/status/1465391494714564612

Gaming is very popular now. Many people want not only to play games but also earn money by playing games.
It is possible to do thanks NFT. That is why NFT is so popular now and in big demand.

Now NFT are very popular and a lot of people buy NFT for investment purposes. They hope that in future NFT will continue to grow too,
Now NFT growth in price even more then altcoins. That is why the demand in them continue to increase.

The truth is I don't see it that way, there are many NFT games that have turned out to be scam and it is not funny and good that that kind of thing happens, at least for investors and people who believe in progress or innovation in the crypto world. , I think this is not something to be taken lightly, I know people who have put in large amounts of money and have lost them because of some devs who did not know how to handle an internal economy, they turned it into a ponzi scheme and stole many, I think that that is not fun, I hope that the NFTs in 2022 come with many rules to protect investors and do not kill a technology thanks to thefts and scams.

Scam is everywhere. If one or two projects have scam investors and gamers that doesn't mean the whole space is full of scam. There are projects like Axie infinity which is trending in this space. There are a few more not so famous that have seen a recent surge of new users, this mean that people still believe in these projects as they are making good money while playing.
3470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding NFTs on: January 02, 2022, 02:23:35 AM
In simple word. NFT are unique digital assets that cannot be replaced. You can view them but you cannot edit, replace or change them. It started with Ethereum Blockchain but has no shifted to other Blockchains like BSC, Solana and Matic becuase of cheap transaction fees.
3471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull run on: January 02, 2022, 02:17:29 AM
I do not think we will have a Bull run in 2022 if history repeats itself. After 2017 bull run the next bull run happened in 2021. In between that time the market either went sideways or went bearish. The same ia happening now, at the moment the market is trading sideways and I expect it to remain the same for a couple of month now this year. Still no one has be able to predict cryptocurrency market therefore anything can happen.

I am sure European countries will be able to understand cricket as England and ICC can easily promote it in neighbouring countries. The problem will be basically promoting cricket in the American continent as they will try to find similarities with baseball. But, if ICC is able to promote cricket in the European subcontinent then it will become easy for ICC to spread cricket globally and especially in the American subcontinent.

In countries like Netherlands and Ireland, cricket has a history of more than two centuries. But in all the European countries except England, cricket is declining in popularity. The national cricket boards are doing all that they could, but the other sports (football, field hockey, basketball.etc) have taken up ambitious expansion strategies and these sports have managed to poach in to cricket sphere. In countries like Netherlands and Denmark, the vast majority of the players used to be native. But nowadays somewhere between 70% and 80% are South Asian.

This is a problem which could have been easily sorted out if ICC would have promoted cricket more aggressively in the European subcontinent. They should again start organizing more tournaments in these countries and there should be also a proper media coverage of those tournament. I think the best option would be to start a T20 tournament comprising of these nations.
3473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 01, 2022, 11:39:13 PM
There is an interesting move by ICC for inclusion of cricket in Olympics, ICC to make $3 million bid for cricket's inclusion in 2028 Olympics. We may see interest of more countries in cricket if it make its way to Olympics.
16 teams in T20 WC is also a big challenge, if ICC can include 3 or 4 more associate teams in next T20 WC that have good level it will be a big success.
ICC never been ideal Authority even now doing good for cricket into Olympics because they need some better planning and development from grassroots in many countries those are very good for cricket and can bring some very skills and quality players in future.

But, sadly they never use funds in this way, so we are losing many good countries in bad way like Kenya is the worst example for this, and now they have some good support for countries from where we never have any player like the UAE, Oman and Kuwait these are dead countries for quality and skill players, but sadly they are not understanding and still doing things which are never been favorable for game and fans.

I think that ICC still has time to recover from what has been done in the past. If ICC wants to include cricket in the '28 Olympics, they need to start working on getting at least 3 or 4 more teams to regular cricket. Although recently teams like Oman and UAE are playing enough cricket and there are some quality players, some more countries need to be included in there.

ICC has taken some missteps in the past but maybe including cricket in the Olympics could be good for the future of cricket in my opinion.
I think if ICC wants Cricket to be in Olympics, it has to ensure cricket spreads across Europe or the Americas, currently, cricket-playing nations are too skewed, 85% of them are from Asia & the African continent, only a few from here and there. The problem with popularising any sport per se is the viewership, cricket is a commercial sport unlike most Olympic sport, which means you need a good viewership for cricket in a country to make it a cricketing nation, but the problem is most of the countries don't even understand cricket, how in the world then you can popularise cricket there? One way is player migrations and the second better approach is to hold local cricket events in these countries, just like the couple of matches that happened in the US in form of a veteran league.

Bangladesh bowlers have done well. But Bangladesh will win the Test match, even against the strong New Zealand, I did not even dream of it. Bangladesh can fight hard. The match will probably be competitive if Bangladesh batsmen can play well. However, I do not believe in the batsmen of Bangladesh. No wonder they lost all their wickets before 100 runs. We have seen a lot of poor batting from the Bangladesh team.

Bangladesh bowlers good bowling was destroyed by Devon Conway century. The good thing for Bangladesh is Devon Conway is no more on crease, so there is a chance New Zealand can be bowled out at 350. Seeing the recent performance of Bangladesh I don't think they can win the game but they must try to chase runs and remain in the match. This will give there players confidence for future games.

Bangladesh is in trouble now in my opinion as Newzealand has been able to score 317 runs and they still have wickets in hand. I am not sure whether Bangladesh batsmen will be able to chase this target. If NZ is bowled out for 350 then to it will be a struggle for Bangladesh batter to chase that target.

There is nothing wrong with what the CBI did today if you are earning from the cryptocurrency business then you need to pay taxes on those earnings. There is still time to pay those taxes but it has to be done before the march of 2022. In case if anyone has still not filed the ITR then please do so. This was suppose to happen and I assume that the bill will now get passed in the next session of parliament.

That is dark. Hoping for people to get infected just for the sake of sports is crazy. Their lives matter more than the games themselves which is why I completely disagree with you here.

Once again, COVID is playing the spoilsport. Three important test series are ongoing right now - Ashes between Australia and England, Indian tour of South Africa, and Bangladeshi tour of New Zealand. If these series are called off, then the broadcasters will be left with crippling losses, and the international cricketing calendar maybe thrown into disarray once more. For the BCCI, the IPL will be a concern. They were initially planning to conduct the IPL 2022 from March-April this year. Omicron can force a change in their plans.

They might get only cancelled if any of the players or the members of the squad becomes positive. For now, everything is going smooth and I hope it remains like this only. IPL would have to be postponed once again because the daily positivity rate has started rising in India and by February end it will peak according to a report. If that is the case then it would be hard for BCCI to conduct IPL between March till June.

The idea of 24-team T20 world cup is good. But it will be of no use, if the 12 associate nations end up importing mercenary players from India and Pakistan (similar to what Oman did this time). Associate cricket is turning out to be a joke. More than half of the ICC member nations have teams comprised 100% from foreigners. Teams like UAE, Oman, Hong Kong, European nations.etc doesn't even have a single citizen representing them. And cricket is dying in countries which used to rely on native players. I can give dozens of examples - Kenya, Netherlands, Nepal, Iran, Argentina, Israel.etc.

There can be no better example than Kenya. This is a team that managed to reach the semi-finals of the 2003 ODI World Cup. But they received no support from the ICC and cricket died out completely in less than a decade.

They will import players if they want to participate and not look that bad in an international tournament. These countries still have ample amount of time in their hand to find talent and players within, they do have resources and money to do that but, they will still need to import players.

Once again the cycle got repeated, many investors did panic selling listening to fake news here and there and now would be regretting their actions.

Yes, but the same investors and everyone else has got this chance of buying whatever they sold - because BTC, ETH - is still very low.

People were already expecting that the finance minister might not bring this bill in this session because there's way too many, and more important bills, waiting for their queue. Someone even asked the minister if this bill might get a chance to show up at all and the minister replied that they are very serious about this bill and it will come this time.

Whatever their intentions, it was quite certain from the start that they simply do not have enough time to get this bill questioned when more priority bills are waiting in queue.
I don't know what really decides the priority of the government. Maybe elections decide the priority of the government because most of the bills that are passed don't sound much like a priority to me. But yes one thing for sure that government isn't really in the mood to bring this bill on table, maybe they don't want to pass it in this way, because if the government is listening to views of stakeholders just previous month and bringing in the bill the very next month, I feel there were a lot of additions/ subtractions to be done in that. Talking about the price I am very sure ban or unban isn't going to affect the international market for a very long time.

I think it is a mix of everything. The current third wave situation, then the UP election and the last marriage age bill for girls above all the ruckus created by the opposition made thing much worse. I am sort of happy that the bill did not get passed yet but eventually it will and if it doesn't favour the community then things will again become more uncertain.
If you see it in terms of upcoming elections, I doubt bill would be able to go through anytime before 2024, we are having many state elections this year and after that in 2023 government won't take any risk keeping the 2024 general elections in mind because already too many set of people are somewhat anguished with the government, but yes things are too speculative currently for the Indian crypto community.

Under these pandemic circumstances if the government and other political parties are united in having UP election within the scheduled time then imagine how important election is and all bills are passed considering the benefit one political party will get. They will try to defer it as long as they can because they would not try to angry this big Indian crypto community. But, there is another ideological wing of the present government that wants either a complete ban or a strict regulation. Things are pretty much shady at the moment, we will need to wait for the next parliament session to see what happens

Bangladesh U-19 team lost to India by almost 100 runs. However, the Bangladesh team did not lack talented players. Yet they lost by a huge margin only because of the remarkable bowling prowess of the Indian bowlers. Ravindra, Raj, Ravi Kumar and Vicky both took wickets. The Bangladesh team players needed to do some more homework because they went down to play against the best team in the tournament.

India and Sri Lanka will meet in the final. Sri Lanka is weaker than India. India will win the title.

Indian U-19 team played really well with a disciplined bowling effort followed by Raghuvanshi's half-century helped India win this tournament. SL was struggling from the beginning and it was a completely one-sided match. Bangladesh match was also not that different they, what can you expect from these two teams they are governed by the same board whose International teams performance has been deteriorating every year.
