Automated Transactions seems like an awesome thing, but I can't really find info on that. How does the script run on the blockchain? Does it wait for certain blocks to be solved to release payment? Is this tech applicable to other coins/algos/blockchains?
The AT script is announced with a createAT transaction, which sets up a new account that the script controls. Once a transaction is sent to the AT's account it will start to run the next block. There is a fee charged for each operation the AT does. If the AT runs out of funds it will stop until more are sent. If the AT hits the max steps per block it will resume the next block. The AT script can stop itself with stop/finish or sleep commands. If it runs stop or finish it will stop until a transaction is sent to it, then it will resume. If the AT runs the sleep command it specifies a number of blocks, then after that many pass by it will resume. Technical details can be found here: http://ciyam.org/at/Currently burst is the only coin with ATs, but Qora will be getting it soon also. CIYAM has been offering a bounty for it to be implemented in a btc-based coin, but no one's taken him up on it yet. Thank you for the explanation and the documentation about it

Actually nowadays this is not "the Bitcoin way", it's really "the people's way"

MOTO is marked for delisting if no trading occurs. We need over 0.1 btc average per day before 25th. Don't give up the exchange and buy some.
Idea: some people could dump so we could buy it all cheap and thus, creating volume

I hope they auction all those Bitcoins fast. Return the Bitcoins to the people. Not good seeing people's stuff stuck in central power's hands

Didn't knew that exchange. What the hell is happening!? Is this by the same group? And what group is it?

hey guys, can you split the hashrate of 1.3 mhs gaw fury? does --balance works using cgminer?
Why divide something so close to 0 ? Not to be a jerk but have you looked at your sig. "3%" Prolly the same reason you would bother going after a 3% discount, that is so close to 0. It all just adds up. On another note, i haven't looked at the chips specs in awhile. I forget if we could possibly even convert the fpga to mine something like x11 or some other algo. I might look because i have quite a few freebie blizzards that would be perfect to play with. Got any idea zeta? Freebie blizzards? How did you get those if I might ask? I'm curious too, I'd like to have a few units to play with, without risking much...

If I get an approval from my team and when/if one of our products become fully licensed for general use, I'll write you here about the product. It's a perfect fit for the "craziest shit you can buy with bitcoins" category. It's somehow connected to this project of ours, but it's a completely different project: ... I have another greater project, I and a team of four worked on during the last 12 years. It's a non-invasive health diagnostics tool which gives information about the working of 12 internal human organs and systems. It could early diagnose functional organ deviations before they are clinical. It could diagnose some diseases like diabetes and prostatitis for example and even catch some life threatened emergencies before they occur and would suggest the patient to immediately go to a specific medical examination. It could for example tell if a patient was a sportsman and what kind of sports he trained (heavy sports, fast sports, etc...). In those 12 years we measured 5000+ patients and we trained an artificial neural network to find cases/similarities based on those patients. We've passed the proof of concept phase and we are now ready to bring it to a larger scale - give a non-commercial licences to some physicians and teach them to use it. They could then diagnose their friends/family/patients and compare it to their clinical diagnoses/tests/examinations to proof it's working. With more data collected we could calibrate the devices/software even better and find more relations in the data. The tool have the potential to make the health diagnostics much cheaper and with it's automatic diagnostics mode it could bring diagnostics to places were it was never available even without a physician. The project require small amount of funds to produce the devices, teach the physicians, install and configure the software, etc. I approximate the funds needed to bring it to 5 physicians in this early phase to about 8000-10000 $, and if the project scales a lot it would become much less. I have to talk with the other team members about crowdfunding and cryptocurrencies at general and get their approval to create a crowdfunding case for this project. Our leading scientist is 78 years old physicist. I think he'll get the cryptocurrencies and crowdfunding ideas and what this could bring to the future generations. I hope I could use the zRMicroArray funding AT case(s) as a proof of concept to him that cryptocurrencies crowdfunding could bring some funds to a scientific project if the funds needed are small enough. Thank you all who donated so far! Special thanks to the guy who donated 300k! Well, this is quite interesting, thanks for bringing this up! Going to keep an eye on it.

Terrible news... I see they haven't learned anything when their NXT was stolen.
I somewhat doubt their NXT was actually in "cold" storage when it was stolen last spring and I doubt that their ~7k BTC was actually in cold storage when it was stolen yesterday. If they were in fact cold storage then both 'hacks' are most likely the result of some kind of inside job, and very lax internal security procedures I had in the back of my mind that only the hot wallet had been stolen at the time, but I'm probably not remembering correctly what happened. As for the BTC, they could have been in cold storage... Terrible news... I see they haven't learned anything when their NXT was stolen.
I have now started doubting if it was ever stolen. The NXT story... it either was stolen or it was a very well written novel.

Sorry want to sell withaut escrow, need bitcoins fast.
As you can see from this thread, you'll get bitcoins way faster if you use escrow...

This is the second times when Bter got hacked, I will never trust them again!
They seemed not to learn too much with their NXT hack. I wonder who will trust them now...

As I said in the other thread about this, I seriously do not get what the artist wants we think this coin. Can't the artist just price her art in BTC and accept it as payment? Some clarification is needed Otherwise this is just a way of making publicity to a product by jumping on the cryptocurrency hype train, IMO Publicity stunt is probably all that is. But it can backfire badly for the artist if there are some legal issues. Also this is pretty worrying: Where invited Sarah Meyohas to “mine” her coins in the gallery and design how BitchCoin would operate. The installed mining rig can viewed through Where’s live-streaming webcam.
It sounds like the whole mining process is centralised and powered by one (!?) mining rig. Good luck with that. Frankly, this sounds like much better offer: Better idea... Anyone sending me back to Iceland will get 50% ownership of all the work I do there during my trip. Guaranteed results from an already established award-winning photographer. Beautiful pieces that you can hang in any home and give to your grandmother without embarrassment. It's 50% yours! Partner up with me and we both win.
I agree that one is a better offer... Let's see where both artists go

Seriously not getting what she wants with this... Will the coin even be tradeable? Or she just prices it however she wants? Why not just accept BTC for her artworks?
This is more like a publicity stunt, using the cryptocurrency hype train...
I don't get that either. Apparently she's trying to do some sort of pre-sale. The whole project seems very poorly organised imo. They also have own thread on this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951783.0Thanks for linking the thread here Its tatianacoin all over again
I don't know what coin was that, but apparently there is already a bitchcoin lol
