3481  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CryptoCove.io - No.1 Store for Bitcoin Merchandise and Apparel. 15% OFF !!!! on: October 08, 2020, 05:19:43 PM
We strive to be the best bitcoin and crypto merch store that there is!
I saw a couple of unique designs that I liked but you should consider expanding your product line [e.g. ID laces/lanyards, phone covers and etc...]

We also have our fully unironic bitconnect merch section.
One of the few negative things about your store.

The social proof popup by automizely is quite annoying.
3482  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Good Project Not website yet Not ready but the concept is here on: October 07, 2020, 05:11:22 AM
So You earn  50% from each referal and ammount You Can use.. Is Up to 100$
That seems too good to be true Roll Eyes

Also You Get the 10%  payed weekly of your initial investment.
So it's just another HYIP Angry

On pre- launch bases there is a lot interest from investors and many think its Good business project so im just wondering what your opinion Here?
How can you tell about the interest of future investors when the pre-launch itself hasn't happened yet?
- This is surely just another attempt to scam people.

I think its a great project as its transparent.
You're kidding, right?
- Nothing about that is transparent.

Waiting your suggestions
Ditch the whole idea.
3483  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: looking for auto insurance paid with bitcoin on: October 06, 2020, 03:50:58 PM
anybody know of anything?
sorry, US
I'm not from the US but did some digging and found "Premier Shield Insurance": Our Insurance Agency Accepts Bitcoin

Take note: I'm not vouching for their services (DYOR).
- Their website doesn't look professional at all but they have a lot of "reviews on google". Having said that, fake reviews are quite common nowadays.

You'll probably get more responses if you move this thread to "Service Discussion" board.
- Use "move topic" button from the bottom left corner of this page.
3484  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomaniaks, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies Made Simple. on: October 06, 2020, 12:37:30 PM
Not sure how I missed this platform but I'm bookmarking it now...
- I'm not vouching for it since I haven't read everything yet but I checked few parts at random and they were great.

Few other suggestions:
  • You might want to show the dates for when it was published/last updated.
  • Would be nice to have an RSS feed of some sort.
3485  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GoldxCash.net /Bitcoinxcash.com -Exchange / Physical Crypto Coin "Dealer" - SCAM on: October 06, 2020, 11:15:24 AM
Another one has started promoting [#1] it again [BITCOINEXCHANGEBIT7]...
- In addition to that, he/she is promoting another website [bitcointopaypal.biz #2] that's most likely also a platform meant for scamming its users (perhaps it's worth adding it to OP as a warning).

Tagged and "created a flag".

Found and tagged three other inactive accounts [1][2][3].
3486  Other / Meta / Re: If you see a copy-paste topic from newsletters on: October 06, 2020, 07:43:59 AM
If you see a post looks lengthy and have good information but at end of it, poster leaves a source to a newsletter article, will you send merit to a poster?
In regards to the initial part in your question:
- Length of a post shouldn't be a factor when giving Merits. A post can have only a few words and still contain useful/good information.

To address the question itself:
- Based on the above comments, it appears there's a grey area but personally, I wouldn't consider it a merit worthy post even if it was translated for local boards [unless there's an added value of some sort].
  • By meriting such posts, you're indirectly encouraging them to continue with that behavior and that results in most [not all] of these users using this forum for the wrong reason.
3487  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed on: October 06, 2020, 05:50:47 AM
User: Bilugi
- I was about to respond to some of his/her concerns but after checking Bilugi's history, I decided to check if it's a plagiarized post and sure enough, it was:

Original (archived):

So I noticed it says unused Merit can be decayed at some point in the future - What's the point of this?  Is it just to keep people from stagnating their Merit and not using it?

Also, what are your thoughts on people here using their numerous alt accounts to abuse the Merit system?  Granted, there's not much to "abuse", but someone who has a dozen alt accounts, say one of them gets selected as a Merit source, couldn't that have a negative impact on the system?

EDIT (wanted to add): Are you worried about people paying for Merit just to rank up?

I'm not complaining by any means, I like the new stuff.  Just wanted to ask a few questions.

3488  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto Exchange Coinbase Hands Over Customer Data to UK Tax Authority on: October 05, 2020, 08:17:16 AM
The exchange said the tax agency originally asked for records relating to all UK customers dating back to 2017, but it later worked out a plan that resulted in “a revised notice with reduced scope”.
I'm interested in knowing the full details of that so-called plan [something is missing from that report]...
- As it stands, all it takes is a little pressure for releasing everything to these agencies.

The revised plan requires the disclosure of user data with a British address who received over $6,450 into their Coinbase account during the 2019/20 tax period, either by way of purchases or deposit of digital assets.

Coinbase says the HMRC request will affect under 3% of its U.K. customers, reports The Block. A spokesperson for the exchange explained:
Not sure if I'm missing something here but why would they only ask for certain users from the UK that have something above the limit in question? Are they exempted from paying the taxes as long as they're not hitting that limit or they're just not interested in having more paperwork with fewer taxes?
3489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 05, 2020, 06:53:05 AM
I don't quite understand this transfer by Manchester United, after watching them concede 6 today against Spurs, I don't know how much Edinson Cavani can improve this team up front, Edinson is no longer an excellent CF, and I know he was prolly bought as a makeshift, but Martial isn't even a prolific CF, so they actually needed a complete striker and they aren't getting that.
He'll probably have a similar outcome to what Sanchez had on-field but his experience will surely come in handy for younger players of the team [they need it, even if it's for a short term].

Not sure if I should blame the Arsenal board or Lyon's but we've been linked to Houssem Aouar [few other teams inquired but Arsenal was the only one that really pushed] for the whole window and initially he wanted to join us as well but now, everything changed and he decided [a day or so prior to deadline day] to stay with Lyon [SMH].
- We really needed him since we lacked creativity in the middle.
3490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 05, 2020, 05:43:37 AM
I hope no one had bets for this week.

As an Arsenal fan, I hate to see Klopp like this [the team let him down]...

- It was like they needed to be the headline instead of Man U:

  • Man U: Surely, we're now the worst team for this week!
  • Liverpool: Hold my beer Grin

From what I've read, Alisson won't be back for their next match against Everton [due to shoulder injury] + both Alcantara and Mane have coronavirus so I'm expecting another shocking result when they face Everton...
- They really need to invest in a better backup goalkeeper.
3491  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] ▲▼ Exolix - Secure & Anonymous Crypto Exchange Service on: October 04, 2020, 09:27:59 AM
Then they went on to explain that they need my login, passwords, private keys to my crypto wallets need to be clearly visible in order for them to "refund" my ETH.
I will repeat what I said in a follow up email they specifically asked me for my login credentials/keys and I am willing to let somebody verify it.
You might want to back that up by a video of some sort [if you can hide sensitive parts] or at least a cropped SS...

We in no way want to have access to your personal passwords and other confidential information.
Kamakaziii mentioned about requesting for his/her private keys on a follow-up email [still waiting for the evidence]... Is this part of your so-called "system request" or you're denying it?

However, we need to ensure that the funds are legal in order to exchange or return them back to you.
5. Refund Policy

Regardless the side of the transaction’s error, we never ask a client to go through the KYC process.
Not sure if I'm missing something but I believe, the above two statements contradict each other.
3492  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need to buy "Domain name" and "Web Hosting" using BTC / bitcoin on: October 02, 2020, 03:29:07 PM
I want to be able to buy a Domain Name and Web Hosting just using BTC / bitcoin.
As a former user, I would suggest trying "SteadyTurtle"...

- Friendly support + you can find discount codes on their ann thread.
- Not as good as NameCheap, but it's good enough.
3493  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [s][android app] BTCnews [/s] on: October 02, 2020, 01:33:48 PM
it's now a website
September 30, 2020

Now this app has been converted to a website

https://stcoin.blogspot.com
Not sure what was the previous status of the app prior to this conversion but normally when someone comes back after "a long period of inactivity", they tend to come up with something special and unfortunately, that's not the case here [sorry if I'm a bit harsh]...
- All I'm seeing is a collection of some random Reddit posts in combination with news taken from other crypto-news platforms [aggregator] while lacking a lot of features.
3494  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] ExoCrow has plagiarized content + fake data on: October 02, 2020, 08:56:02 AM
I've also reverse the image on the header of their website and found that it was also stolen lol. They've just cropped the original picture and had a little retouch. What a fraud.

Take a look here:
https://www.profissionaisti.com.br/carreira-em-ti-atuando-como-consultor-consultora/
Thank you for your findings and you're right but I believe the original source is from where "Potato Chips" commented:

So plagiarized content + stock photos (one | two) + virtual office (https://www.1stformations.co.uk/registered-office-service/ | address search results)

Another post worth mentioning:

Trying to find the review to your exchange but I only got this https://www.scamfoo.com/site/exocrow.com/

~Snipped~

He/she came back after 10 days with an alt account (Anna ExoCrow [already added to OP]) and dodged almost everything by giving a ridiculous comment [SMH]...

Guys and girls - instead of slandering other people's work and efforts, you could end up spending time in empty comments without any justification, but instead finally achieve something in life yourself !!
Good luck!

You might want to start responding to concerns mentioned in this thread, instead of dodging almost all of them with the exception of one that you found an excuse for.
- I would suggest not to use or create any future accounts if that's what you think is going to help when it comes to hiding your true nature [tagged this one as well].
3496  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Did NordVPN remove dedicated IPs for normal subscriptions? on: September 30, 2020, 07:03:16 AM
I tried to search on Google and found this below.

According to the one post above they are only available if you use the OpenVPN (TCP or UDP) protocols.

So I think you will need to install OpenVPN and manually import config from https://nordvpn.com/ovpn/
I stop using this VPN a few months ago but the last time I used it, it has a dedicated option on their VPN software.
Thank you, it worked Smiley
- I had OpenVPN but since I had VPN protocol automated option set to "on", it changed [after upgrading to the latest version] to NordLynx and thanks to your findings, I changed it to UDP and got everything back.

3497  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: money from website traffic that pays with BTC on: September 30, 2020, 06:04:32 AM
Do you guys have any suggestion?
You can refer to this list for other missing ad networks: List of Advertising Networks

Apart from the above suggestions, you might want to consider selling banner spaces to other users in here...
- I've done that before with less than 1k unique traffic.
3498  Economy / Goods / Re: Internet TV on: September 29, 2020, 05:59:43 PM
May I ask which current block height and user name do you need?
By username, he/she meant your display name on this forum and for block height, since we're on "bitcointalk" it's always about BTCitcoin...
- Refer to "Posting guidelines for physical goods".

You might want to include prices for each one of them as well.
3499  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recommended bitcointalk escrow services on: September 29, 2020, 04:21:56 PM
anyone know or used https://www.escrow.com
?

this service legit or scam??
I did some digging and found two comments that would answer your question [to an extent]:
- AFAIK, they don't accept BTCitcoin payments and I prefer not to vouch for their services [DYOR] so you're better off using one of the escrow providers from this forum.

Ebay only endorses one Escrow service, Escrow.com. You can read eBay's Escrow Policy here. They only recommend an escrow service for vehicle pruchases, but it is allowed for any purchase. There are escrow fees, so you won't be able to under-cut credit card and paypal users (Fee Schedule $25 minimum).

~Snipped~

inb4 escrow.com is shut down and all innocent funds seized because of guilt by association.
3500  Economy / Service Discussion / Did NordVPN remove dedicated IPs for normal subscriptions? on: September 29, 2020, 02:23:58 PM
After updating mine to NordVPN 6.32.15.0 version, I lost "Dedicated IP option under Speciality servers [I'm limited to only P2P]".
This is what they used to offer under Speciality servers [click this link]

  • Did I miss something or they really removed this option for normal subscriptions?
  • I do know they're also offering "stand-alone dedicated IPs for $70.00 per year" but that's a bit pricey.
  • Does anyone know another VPN provider that's trusted enough and has that option with a reasonable price that I could pay using BTCitcoin?
