2581  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: QuicklyBTC.com scam exchange on: June 20, 2021, 04:02:27 PM
I did some more digging and I believe the following information would come in handy when it comes to reporting them to their registrar [Namecheap]:
- In case you still haven't reported them, please do so: Submit a ticket > Abuse Reports > Fraud > Fill in the needed data.

2582  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-06-09 Tim Wu, Reportedly Owns Over $1M in Bitcoin on: June 20, 2021, 01:27:08 PM
@Theb
I wouldn't label him as a BTCitcoin critic as well and IIRC, it's not the first time that Cointelegraph has used attention-grabbing content/headlines.

@ruthbabe
Regardless of him being one [a BTCitcoin critic] or not, it's quite normal to see someone changes his stance on something that they don't fully understand [not sure if that's the case here, but there were a few prior to him and I'm sure there will be more in the future].

My OCD kicked in as soon as I saw there's a big range in regards to how much he owns; Didn't he disclose everything [why there's still an uncertainty?]?
2583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any MAURITIAN here? Bitcoin still not popular in Mauritius on: June 20, 2021, 11:31:31 AM
So...as it turns out... there are apparently no Crypto exchange websites where Mauritians can buy/sell...
A few websites remain in the list that can potentially accept users from Mauritius; coinmama & cex.io
I looked around and in addition to mk4's [Paxful] and dataispower's [LocalBitcoins - taken from the provided link] posts and also those you've posted, I found a few more:
- I didn't mention eToro because it's no longer an option [link].

Take note: DYOR prior to using any of the above platforms.
2584  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-06-19] Bitcoin Must Be Accepted By World Bank, According To Charter on: June 20, 2021, 09:16:41 AM
The World Bank has poured cold water on El Salvador’s adoption of bitcoin as legal tender, saying it cannot support the move due to “environmental and transparency” concerns.
"Transparency concerns"? It's 2021 and they're still making fallacious arguments [SMH]... By that logic, they should've been more concerned about fiat transactions as opposed to BTCitcoin transactions but for some weird reason, they're not!

their point is that any energy use, regardless of how it's produced, is bad. I know, that's nonsensical,
AFAIK, printing money requires energy as well, so why this one isn't bad [am I missing something]?
2585  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE RAFFLE] cygan's 10th forum anniversary🍻win some cool stuff😎 on: June 20, 2021, 07:23:00 AM
#10, please Smiley

Happy 10th forum anniversary to you [you're the second person that has reached that milestone this month, that's crazy] Smiley
- Just saw your CCC thread now and I'm really impressed with what you've achieved in a span of 18 months.
2586  Other / Bitcoin Wiki / Re: multibit on: June 20, 2021, 05:18:24 AM
multibit keeps popping up in the wiki. hasn't it been ded for a while?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Full_node
Yes, it has [Multibit is Deprecated - Stop using it] and there's also a statement at the top of its wiki page.

maybe a new heading/section for deprecated wallets would be informative too
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Wallet
I had a somewhat similar suggestion but got no response and by the looks of it, nothing has changed so far...
- Having said that, you can still try suggesting those changes on "The Bitcoin Wiki Modernization Project - request changes and edits here".

Other suggestions?
I was wondering if we should get rid of the past services that aren't in operation, from the "Bitcoin Wiki" pages?

- They just clutter the page and lead to nowhere.
- Perhaps it's best to just compile them on a single page and removed them from other respective pages.

2587  Economy / Goods / Re: Advices needed - Crypto & Bitcoin jewelry 💎 on: June 19, 2021, 06:21:31 PM
How do you think I could improve it?
You're already off to a good start, but if you want to have full control over those funds, then you might want to consider using a self-hosted processor [e.g. BTCPay Server] as opposed to a custodial one [e.g. Coinbase].
Take note: Most of the self-hosted processors are a bit more complicated and that includes the conversion part as well; In other words, just ignore my suggestion if you're after an automated process.

You can find most of the other processors in the following link: Awesome Bitcoin Payment Processors
2588  Economy / Services / Re: Unique graphic design for cryptocurrencies | vector artist services on: June 19, 2021, 07:44:42 AM
I can draw icons, illustrations, characters, logos. Prints, patterns, whatever.

I can just draw a vector version of your sketch or picture. Alternatively, I can also update a low-quality pdf file into a high-quality one for printing, if it consists of text and light design.
I don't think you'll be getting any clients unless you showcase some of your previous works [there's a huge competition when it comes to such niches].
- You can use "Imgur" for uploading images here.

Telegram: pingvi_po
You might want to think twice before shifting the conversations to other platforms [scammers love to take advantage of that].

Good luck Wink
2589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kraken exchange CEO takes a jab at Elon Musk over altcoin dethrone Bitcoin on: June 19, 2021, 06:20:55 AM
Whats your thought and opinion about the statement?
https://i.imgur.com/UnUIhXP.png

Elon already responded, and some Bitcoiners are schooling him on the responses. Hopefully he finally let go of his ego a bit.
Powell has a point but the fact that EM bases his judgment purely based on data, clearly means he never fully understands some of the things [e.g. BTCitcoin] that he talks about [SMH].
- I'd love to see one of the developers [or anyone with good knowledge about BTCitcoin] having a 1 on 1 conversation with that freaking clown, but at the same time, we should really forget about that attention-seeking whore Angry
2590  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: FOR SALE{ AntMiner L3+ @$700 }and {Antminer D3 19.3 @ $300 } with PSU on: June 19, 2021, 05:06:37 AM
One Antminer PSU  @ 100 .
You might want to mention which PSU model is in your possession...

You should consider posting pictures of the items in question, together with your forum name and the date on a piece of paper [follow "this" thread], and don't forget to mention if you're fine with using one of the escrow providers [except me] from this forum.
2591  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinsbee.com - Buy gift cards with about 50 crypto currencies! on: June 19, 2021, 03:07:59 AM
not really german trustworthy tried to buy an ebay 10 dollar card via QR code and suddenly appears transfer remaining amount which is impossible because it´s too small to send and then order expired...seems very scammy and we call this "saubeidl" in german and not "vertrauenswuerdig".
I don't think you should blame Coinsbee for your own mistake [unintentionally underpaying].
- You probably sent it from an exchange or an online wallet of some sort, since there was a deduction; In other words, you didn't read the payment part from their "FAQ" page.

We do not recommend sending transactions from online wallets because transactions from these wallets are often sent with a long delay or fees are deducted from the amount sent. As a result, these transactions will arrive late (if the invoice has already expired) or the invoice will not be paid in full.
Therefore we recommend to use one of many open source wallets, where the sender has control over the exact amount and the time of sending.

hope to fix this and send me my ebay 10 dollar code mail was paulimbersanz@gmail.com

Yeah, right! Roll Eyes

it's already operational and growing and first income can come at any moment.
Keep dreaming Cheesy

Loan is used for giveaways and improved quality of life for myself
In other words, you don't need it [it's not a necessity, but a luxury].

There is always a cause and reaction.

Perhaps it's the right time to start talking with a piece of evidence, as opposed to words...
2593  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Partminer.net Review for SCAM-Brosminer.com/Brosvga.com/Vgagold.com/Vgaminer.net on: June 18, 2021, 03:09:08 PM
This is getting to funny, every week a new website, there are no brakes for these guys.
As always, great job but I'm interested in knowing how you keep on successfully finding their next scam platform? Is it a certain group on Telegram?

their websites are always shut down,
I'm starting to think that they're just taking down the domains themselves, while their hosting has remained unaffected.
- I tried looking for a way to report them through their registrar but had no luck in finding a way Angry
2594  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-06-17]NASCAR Driver Landon Cassill to Receive His Salary in Bitcoin on: June 18, 2021, 01:43:58 PM
Nascar driver Landon Cassill will be fully paid in cryptocurrencies
~Snipped~
but I’m probably one that’s been in it for long enough that’s I’m pretty comfortable with how it works."
That explains his bold move, but does anybody know if he was forced to receive his salary in various cryptocurrencies or he specifically opted for such a salary?

The 31-year-old driver says that he may “carve out” some of his crypto to pay bills but plans to hold the rest.
Although he mentioned being a hodler, I still enjoyed reading the first part where he mentioned using it as a normal currency Smiley

An interesting tweet from him:

Started mining Bitcoin in my basement now we’re here
2595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: General Motors May Start Accepting Bitcoin If There's Customer Demand on: June 18, 2021, 11:24:10 AM
The problem is how will they know if there is a demand on their products from their customer?
In addition to what @Yogee posted, they could send out electronic questionnaires to their previous customers and also do in-person/face-to-face surveys.

I pretty much envision how this will go, GM will be bombarded with millions of tweets about accepting bitcoin, it will implement it, and then in one year they are going to see at best 10 sales in BTC and they will decide to close it down as there is no actual demand.
I completely agree with you, but I don't think there's any harm in keeping that option alive for potential buyers [unless I'm missing something].
- Regardless of the demand, it's always better if they could offer more options for purchasing their cars.

The other main point is with btc in their reserve they can make easy profits like Tesla did with selling 10% of their initial investment making millions. With this they don't need to make huge investment as they will get it in the form of payment from customers also.So it will be wise move on their part to consider this.
AFAIK, they never looked into the investment side of BTCitcoin...

This is great news for Bitcoin. We need to see how Bitcoin reacts to this!
It looks like it didn't have any impact Smiley
2596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is buying three bitcoin worth it? on: June 18, 2021, 08:39:46 AM
It would be a lot of my savings, not all, but a majority.
Let me stop you right there! This is one of the cases that I'd even suggest to completely forget about the existence of BTCitcoin...
- Why would you gamble all of that hard-earned cash in exchange for the words of a random person [regardless of their status]? It doesn't make sense.

Will it make me back a substantial amount more money?
None of us have visited the future, so don't expect anyone from this thread [or other places] to answer that question accurately.

Please help!
Only you can help yourself.
2597  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any reviews about trading jornal application/software/servive? on: June 18, 2021, 06:32:25 AM
  • TraderSync
  • TraderVue
  • And of course the excel spreadsheet

I wonder if the first 2 platforms also work in cryptocurrency since I found them on forex and stocks trading forum discussion.
Just to be clear, I'm not a trader [can't vouch] but I did look around and it appears that TraderSync supports it, but that's not the case for TraderVue; At one point they were considering it, but that's it [read the comment section of the "following tweet"].

Importing Trades

2598  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New crypto trading website - 618crypto.com > How to get more subs ? on: June 18, 2021, 05:04:22 AM
Btw subscriptions are currently free in case you want to give it a go (https://t.me/hello618crypto).
That's a good start.

but we don't know how to efficiently reach out.
In terms of expenses, how much you're willing to spend? For little or no amount, you can try guest posting on cryptocurrency blogs [if it's a known blog/website, prepare to pay a lot] and if you're willing to spend more, you can try purchasing ad spaces in here [Advertise on this forum] or run some sort of campaigns instead [e.g. Signature campaign, Twitter campaign, and etc...].

Social media looks like the obvious solution but it takes ages.
Have you tried targeted ads?
2599  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitconnect Meme still alive? [ft. Carlos Matos] on: June 17, 2021, 06:11:43 PM
Here's the h3h3production link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5BZ5_yyRUU
I watched the whole interview and at first, I thought there were some positive signs [first few minutes] but by the time I finished the interview, that was no longer the case [I still saw bits of his past in him and there were a lot of moments that it felt like he was still living in a different world].
- Don't get me wrong, everyone deserves a second chance and I even smiled and laughed on many occasions but I didn't see a completely changed man [I hope I'm wrong].
2600  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: I think Bitcoin is great as an asset and not as a Currency. on: June 17, 2021, 02:25:38 PM
So the problem with declaring or using Bitcoin as a currency is that it Is not good for the economy of that country if they have a currency which very limited, limited than gold as their currency and Bitcoin is a currency which rich people can afford, and yes I know we can buy bitcoin with even 10$ but that is not the point, the problem is that there is a rich person out there who is holding a really great % of bitcoin
~Snipped~
The main issue with what you've said in that paragraph is the fact that you've combined both the asset part [hodlers] and the currency part [normal usage]. If someone truly uses BTCitcoin as a currency, then such problems wouldn't exist in the first place.

And one more thing if a person is a trying to accumulate more and more bitcoin then indirectly it will be centralised and we will just hope that they don’t sell and just ask your self do you want to depend on other people for your destiny.
It will never come close to being centralized [even indirectly]; Regardless of the amount someone has accumulated, take some [not even all] of the parts that help the network to function properly out of the equation and all of those accumulated BTCitcoins becomes pretty much worthless [that wouldn't be the case if it wasn't decentralized].

It depends on us what we want to shape crypto in a long term as an asset or as a currency, but we can’t have it both.
As much as I would love to see everyone using it as a currency, most aren't [especially most of the newcomers] while as for the rest, some of them use it for both and a small percentage [based on what I've seen] use it as a currency only [like me].
- It's a dynamic world, so both of those coexists.
