3501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: August 06, 2017, 05:44:55 AM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked
I cannot answer rightly but all of us here are free to share our thoughts about it. I don't think cryptocurrency has a capability to do it  but with bitcoin it can be possibilble. That's was my view on it Grin
I dont think so, even though bitcpin is decentralized, but still there is aperson or group pf people who give an order to be followed, fiat wll not be useless, even though government is taking care of digital currency eradicating cash transaction is not feasible.
3502  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: August 06, 2017, 05:23:13 AM
Think of how much of your money is already digital. Your salary, most of the bills you pay; even when you get cash it is normally an electronic transfer at an ATM. Digital cash is not a coming trend. It is the norm now.

I dont think so, since government were aware about digital method of paying, i dont think cashless society will be possible, it might raise corruption digitally, that people were avoiding using credit cards because entities were raising their fees that lessen people's money that they should have used for themselves.
3503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the future on: August 06, 2017, 04:48:08 AM
No one knows i think, bitcoin is unpredictable but one thing i know that bitcoin has a brighter future.

I can't say it is not predictable because there are some people who can tell what might happen to them, but the thing is it is not that accurate. There are a lot of people who are using bitcoin, the more uses bitcoin, the higher the price.
So the decisions and the things that might be implemented to bitcoin depends on what might happen in the users and the price.

Yes it is, but the thing is we cannot predict today that merchants will embrace tradings exchange with this crypto currency wherein instability of its value and bitcoin is volatile, it will change its value in extreme way, and satisfaction of many businessman will may not be reached.
3504  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: August 05, 2017, 11:28:28 PM
I recently paid for some local tacos using Bitcoin. My friend who was unfamilar with Bitcoin thought it was strange, like I technically didn't pay for them or something. We got into discussing Bitcoin and one of the questions he asked me was:
"Why would you want Bitcoins instead of cash?". For a second I didn't know what to say; then I thought about it and here is what I came up with. Feel free to contribute to this.

1) More security (especially if you are careful).

2) Bitcoins are a potential investment, cash is not. Paper currency only really goes down in value, Bitcoins have a lot of potential to be worth more as time goes on.

3) Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.

4) Similar to #3, but it's a universal currency. It's legal in most countries of the world and you don't need any kind of currency conversion to send money to people in a different country than your own.
Indeed. Because bitcoin can be easily stored on electronic wallet for your safety and also bitcoins are that handy because you can even bring a large amount without worrying that it might be snatched or stole from you. Although cash can also be stored online, bitcoin's feature makes it unique because of its decentralized block chain and also it increases its price value from time to time unlike cash that is operated by banks that only gives a little percent of gain. Also bitcoin provides fast transaction that you do not have to wait that long that can be done through mobile or computer usage.
3505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: July 29, 2017, 10:22:36 PM
I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?
Advertising bitcoin on public and national channels is a great idea to make bitcoin more popular to many people. Because as we all know even bitcoin has already been known worldwide and being already used by many people, there are still people around the globe that belongs to a country that do not even know yet bitcoin's existence. So, with the help of television advertisements, it will now be easy to dissiminate the facts and informations about bitcoin to make it more popular worldwide.
3506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitDice - Join The ICO Of The Biggest Crowdfunded Casino With 2300Ƀ PROFIT on: July 29, 2017, 01:10:13 PM
It is so nice to know that BitDice have alloted a large percentage for its beneficiaries of about 70% and just a 30% allocation to retain by the owners. An ICO project like this will be beneficial for both parties specially for the beneficiaries from the big contribution that will be gathered from big and potential casino investors that can be exchange into a valuable one.
3507  Economy / Economics / Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin on: July 29, 2017, 11:25:48 AM
When is the best time to buy bitcoin and when do you think is the best time to sell?
I think its a great time to buy now but when is a good time to sell (if you have any idea please share)
A part of a strategical way to survive and be competitive in market industry, wise thinking of when to buy and sell is a must. Usually, when the price dumps a negative thinking arises but it must not be because it is a great opportunity or indication to buy bitcoin when its price is currently on dump. And the holding or gathered bitcoin when the price dump is good to sell when the price pumps depending on your standard of price to sell your bitcoin for more chances of great count of profit.
3508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: July 29, 2017, 11:16:12 AM
I've been talking about Bitcoin to family, friends and random people for years and nobody seemed to mind when BTC was under $1000. But now that Bitcoin has reached $2000, people are starting to realize that owning 1 BTC is beginning to be out of reach for the average person.

I've had more people ask me about Bitcoin lately and wanted help buying Bitcoins. What about you?
There are lots of people that have been asking me right now about bitcoin. Although bitcoin seems to be famous and popular worldwide, there are still a lot of people that still not aware of bitcoin's existence and see it as a strange thing. That is why when they see my success, they start asking me about bitcoin and to answer that thing, I need to tell my experience for them to be able to understand what is bitcoin and its benefits. Only close people around me ask about bitcoin like my friends, family and classmates and I am glad to tell them my experience to let them understand what bitcoin is.
3509  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: July 29, 2017, 11:05:23 AM
As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.
No one knows when and how long can a thing could last because even prediction or premonition about a certain thing can be a false argument but can be true once proven. We must not speed things up because bitcoin has just been established a couple of years ago. We must not yet come up thinking how long and when could it last. What ia important is the present that bitcoin is positively beneficial to everyone and the price value is still on its way getting higher.
3510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: July 29, 2017, 10:52:57 AM
What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?
People are still holding into their bitcoin because they are still believing and expecting that despite of the continuous dumps or let us state it as unstable status of the price value, bitcoin's price will comeback into a price pump sooner or later. They just see the dumps as a great count to buy bitcoins and sell those when the price pumps. Bitcoin's price pump and dump are just normal scenario in the market so they still tend to hold into their bitcoin and do not worry about it.
3511  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: July 28, 2017, 08:29:35 AM
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
Indeed. I agree that too much consumption of bitcoin leading to more money in exchange. Because of what bitcoin provides, such as instant money, people become greedy that they always want a large count of money in their pocket and even in their hands that is why corruption happens. But we cannot blame bitcoin with corruption because it is the human behaviour that count because of their too much want in money that is why they become greedy that leads to corruption. We must properly use bitcoin to avoid this matter.
3512  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: July 28, 2017, 08:09:33 AM
Personally, if I'm in a coffee shop or any store with some people, I pull out my wallet and subtly show them my Xapo debit card. Then they get curious on what kind of card is that since it doesnt look like the usual Mastercard or creditcard. Then I explain it from there on.

What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? Smiley
I do personal talks and even chats with my friends, relatives and classmates even my special someone. I usually do this not just to share my experience and the benefits that bitcoin gave me. But also to let them decide to got engage also with bitcoin to make them self experience and know what bitcoin really is. Also by this way of doing conversations to them, I can spread bitcoin and make it more popular to other people.
3513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not dead yet but should be. on: July 27, 2017, 09:06:58 PM
I just wasted 3 minutes reading that crappy article.  Grin

Quote
Bitcoin Refuses to Just Die Already
Such an ugly title. Content is worthless. Nothing but a deliberate attempt by author to grab attention by intentionally using a sensational title.
It's all just, "according to blah blah blah", "blah blah reported", and then some unnamed "financial experts blah blah blah".

Just another trashy 'news site'.  Shocked
I agree. How can an article like that predict the future of bitcoin and have already claimed that bitcoin will die soon. No one can clearly state or prove a fact that bitcoin will die sooner or later. The recent dumps are just a normal phenomenon on market industry that really happens when pump is not visible. Also, it is that impossible because there are massive number of users that have been using bitcoin since then that can be affected. Bitcoin will not die because all of the happenings are just a normal phenomenon and there are a lot of users all over the world so it is impossible to happen. Let us just think of the positive side of it instead of stating speculations about it.
3514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: July 21, 2017, 03:13:26 AM
I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.
Being on the top is very difficult to maintain specially when many people are expecting and looking upon it.  But if your basis on that statement is the  sudden dump or the unstable price value of bitcoin to say it will no longer be the number one, then it is not. As long as bitcoin have many potential investors with it, it will remain on its position. But it is still open to be replace is something better or sudden change will take effect.
3515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitDice - Join The ICO Of The Biggest Crowdfunded Casino With 2300Ƀ PROFIT on: July 21, 2017, 02:53:09 AM
It is amazing that this ICO project do really have a great amount allocation that will not just beneficial for the owners but also to the partner investors that will surely support this. A way to see casino tokens on the other side of looking on it. Also it is well presented to see the part by part distribution on how this will work.
3516  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 21, 2017, 02:44:50 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin
You must not depend all your financial needs on bitcoin because you still have to work on working physically and getting involve to social works to earn an income. You cannot evenly say where and when will you get to earn your bitcoin to sustain your needs. Yes bitcoin can do really give us money but we must not be dependable on it because we cannot control the changes happening on bitcoin. Better do a job and bitcoin at the same time to assure you will get an income
3517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: July 21, 2017, 02:09:54 AM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
Children cannot easily understand how bitcoin works and what bitcoin really is. But teenagers can do really understand it because as the rise of technology, teenagers mindset about the things in modern world also rises. They can be easily taught how bitcoin works and what bitcoin is by orienteering them on it. It can be easily done because teenagers already have the knowledge in using technology properly.
3518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: July 21, 2017, 01:34:15 AM

What do you like best about bitcoin?
Decentralization, transparency or easier to move?
Or just it makes you look cool? Wink
I like bitcoin in a way that I can have my personal and private access to my own account wherein I store my bitcoin which is handy because of my wallet used to store up my bitcoin. Also, I can store up a large quantity of money without worrying that it might be stolen by somebody. Bitcoin can be also converted into different type of currency in any country where it is used.
3519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: July 21, 2017, 01:29:24 AM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?
Earning and maintaining bitcoin earning is not an easy to do. So my plan to keep my bitcoin working for a long period of time is to save the biggest part of it and the approximate percentage of 5-15% of my total earnings will be spend for investments to make it possible for my earnings to gain more profit that will be beneficial on my part. Because as many investments I will take, the more chances of gain. Although risky, it is the best way to do.
3520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: July 20, 2017, 10:07:34 PM
So my initial plan was to invest more into bitcoin on a weekly basis but with the possibility of a split on August 1st I figured I'd wait a little. If there would be a split, there would certainly be a drop in price so maybe a good opportunity to pick some more up rather than doing it now. Normally I tend to make these kind of decisions for myself but since I don't fully understand what will happen August 1st I figured this would be the best place to ask.
If I were you, it is now the perfect time to buy bitcoin since then bitcoin's price is currently dumping. This scenario is said to continue until the Segwit happens on August 1 because many speculations and rumors are spread that after the said event, we will be expecting a great pump on its price. But we do not really know yet what will happen so better buy some now and after the Segwit buy another one to have an assurance regarding this matter.
