3521  Local / India / Re: Crypto related questions are going to be asked in Winter session of Parliament on: December 09, 2021, 01:00:26 AM
Does anyone here have any idea when will the crypto bill will be placed in this session of Parliament? I was assuming that it will be on the 29th of November but it seems they are busy with other issues. Will the government suddenly place the bill and try to get it to approve swiftly without any discussion? I past they have did the same for some bills.

The crypto bill is the 11th bill in their agenda. So I think early next week this bill will be discussed. I have the link of the agenda,

http://loksabhadocs.nic.in/bull2mk/2021/23.11.21.pdf

This link will download the PDF file from where you can check the details. But unfortunately, no schedule has been given. So it's not clear when it will be discussed.

Hope this helps!

When this is going to happen? Any dates available?

Hey! @avikz has written earlier that it is the 11th bill on the agenda. No, specific dates have been mentioned yet. But, looking at the current scenario and what happened yesterday this bill might get delayed. If it does then we will still have time till the next session of parliament starts. I hope it does get presented this time only as we will be clear with what needs to be done by us.

I really think that the cricket board selectors should do a better job and I say that to almost all the cricket boards and especially those who are not doing their job right. And this hurts me to say but the West Indies team could have been a lot better if they did not face certain problems from their own cricket board. We can see this problem happening in also cricket boards like Zimbabwe and South Africa and also in recent times with the Bangladesh cricket board.
West Indian biggest issue is they are grouped of seven independent countries and all countries are having their own quota which is concern and sadly no one country able to have separate cricket board and his own team, so this is main dead point for them, and they are losing some very good and talented players and now sinking down day by day from all three formats surely in near future they will be able to have just good matches against teams like Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Ireland because Afghanistan is also going to be very good team in next few years, and they will be not able to compete with them.

And Issues in Zimbabwe and South Africa are completely different from here because here mostly white guys are better in quality and blacks still struggling to adopt this all with some good love for soccer and rugby.

I really don't know about White guys being better in cricket and black guys being better in football and rugby. Certainly not when I see Makhaya Ntini and Ronwen Williams. So I think that the black guy white guy thing is not totally right. But they do have some problems surrounding this issue. And West Indies also might not seem to be in these problems but I don't think they are completely out of it altogether.

We are near the end of 2021 and still some people are discriminating between white and black players  Huh
The color, region and religion does not matter and the only thing which matter is the performance of the players. Although i do think that black players do not have much facilities like the white people to excel in cricket and other sports.

I do not think facilities should be the reason for this divide. It basically is an infrastructure issue that the SA cricket board should work out. In many south Asian countries, players still do not get the required facilities but they still make a difference. Again this is a problem with the board and its corruption. The board should ensure every race should be given the right infrastructure for training.
3523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 08, 2021, 11:26:10 PM
It is team Bangladesh. After losing all their wickets for just 87 runs in the first innings, they started batting in the second innings today. They lost 4 wickets in just 25 runs. With such a weak team and weak batting lineup, it would have been better not to play a Test series against a strong team like Pakistan. Bangladesh should have played T20 and ODI series against Pakisthan. Then they could fight a little.

If the team can't win or perform well in the test matches, don't expect any better performance from them in T20's and ODI's. After bangladesh scored 86 runs only in the first innings and were followed on, there was no way they could save the match. They showed a poor performance in the WC previously and now the recent series was a complete disaster for them.
I don't know how can Bangladesh be so inconsistent in their performance and that also at the very same venues, at once they will beat the world t20 champions in a t20 series by 3-2 and immediately after that they will get defeated from Scotland and struggle to even play respectable cricket in front of other teams. If they want to become a good team on the international stage, they have to become consistent for the least, you obviously cannot be so inconsistent in your performances in same format and expect the world to think of you as a great team, currently Bangladesh gets to play against top cricketing nations only because of their viewership otherwise their performance isn't worth that lately.

Although Pakistan won the series but I do wish Bangladesh should have performed better. The only way teams could do better and learn from their mistakes is when they have been given the equal opportunity by the ICC to play a series against different teams. After this series, when is the next series plan for Bangladesh?

Shakib Al Hasan is my favorite batsman in the team and he performed well. Bangladesh need more of domestic cricket and more international matches and they would become much better team.

Bangladesh performance in this test match was the worst one. Getting beaten by an innings and eight runs at home ground suggest there is a big problem with this team. Sajid Khan bowled impressively for Pakistan, he took eight wickets in the first innings and then 4 wickets in the second innings. This might be his best bowling figure in an international match. 2-0 wipeout in their home ground suggests the Bangladesh board needs to make many things correct with this team.
3524  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we talk about airdrops? on: December 08, 2021, 06:53:01 AM
I would never say airdrops are bad. There have been a few that I personally participated and have earned a good amount too. But, most of them were back in 2018-19. Nowadays most airdrop are just scams or are shit tokens. It does not mean that good ones do not exist. They do exist but they are not free. You need to do more than just join telegram and follow social medias of the project. You have to perform actions like bringing in new users through the referral system or invest a little in that project and earn free rewards. Always remember before joining any such airdrops you need to do your own research about the project.
3525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 07, 2021, 11:23:38 PM
it should not be happening at least in a developed country like South Africa. It has been a problem for a lot of countries about the Caste system. But I also think that sometimes people take it too far. They think that they are being neglected because they are black but they are not actually being neglected. But that is not mostly the case. I think the selectors are there to judge who plays cricket better, not which color of player plays better.
South Africa is not a developed country they have some serious issues, and recently we watch on media how things are going the worst due to corruption and bad management.

Currently South African biggest issue is corruption after death of Nelson Mandela ANC is completely failure in many cases, so they are also failed to bringing some better way into this cricket if they started some better way from start and bring kids from high schools then surely they don't need this quota or anything related to this for encouraging black players but sadly their leadership have no plane for this and doing quota which never help anyone in all cases now it is badly killing game and having serious issues.

I beg to differ SA is in a far better position than most South Asian countries. As per my understanding, there are two major problems in SA. The first is corruption and the second one big economic inequality. SA cricket board is the most corrupted board in the world and this has caused the decline in SA cricket.

So I think that the black guy white guy thing is not totally right. But they do have some problems surrounding this issue. And West Indies also might not seem to be in these problems but I don't think they are completely out of it altogether.
If blacks are inferior in cricket, then how come the West Indies team dominated test cricket scene for many decades? The issue in South Africa and Zimbabwe is different. Cricket is being seen as a relic of colonial hangover, and blacks are not interested in this sport as much as the whites. This is the real reason why the cricket board came up with the quotas. Have you ever thought why they don't need quota for the South African football team? West Indies is entirely another issue. It is a mix of regionalism and racism which is ruining the game there.

It is absolute rubbish that black people cannot play cricket. Well, we did not say this when Brian Lara was in the pitch. I think that it is OK for people to love certain sports more than another and there is no need to force someone to like something. And it is not absolutely necessary that you have to play a black person in your team or else the team would not be great. I think anyone who says this is capping. And if it's not a cap then and they must have lost their mind.

From where did you come our with the synopsis that only Whites can play cricket? There are legends in cricket who are black and if that was the case then these legends would not have existed. Anyone who has skills can be trained from an early age can play any kind of sports. There are so many examples out there you need to just see them.
3527  Local / India / Re: indian users will be required to keep their coins in exchange. on: December 07, 2021, 12:18:20 AM
they won't find out as long as you transfer bitcoin from one wallet to another.

but as soon as you do p2p trade and a bank account gets involved, it leaves the door open.

if the trader you're dealing with gets caught, they will trace all the transactions sent/received from their account.

so, like i said, if this rule becomes law, holding/buying/selling bitcoin will only be done through sebi recognized exchanges.

u can keep trading p2p but u risk getting caught sooner or later.

P2P trading doesn't only involve bank accounts but there is also hard cash involved. A P2P trader can opt for a bitcoin for cash deal and nobody will ever find out about it.
Also, P2P trading is not well established yet. If it becomes full fledged then I think there will be people who will operate a network of P2P traders.
So if there are so many people actively doing P2P trading then it will become difficult for banks to find out who is behind bitcoin transactions.

Eventually, this P2P dealing will become similar to Hawala or Hundi transactions and I am sure the government of India will not try to encourage such things. I am sure the government are aware of such loopholes and will try to safeguard itself from such activities as it can become a huge tax loss for the government.
3528  Local / India / Re: indian users will be required to keep their coins in exchange. on: December 06, 2021, 01:24:22 AM
Just chill guys. I would say we should all take this very lightly because government decisions take long time to be finalized.
There will come many rumors like the one mentioned in OP and will create a buzz in the community.
If anything then we should just patiently wait for the "official" announcement from the government and wait for their instructions to be followed.
I personally don't think that the government will ban cryptocurrencies or hard wallets because it just doesn't make any sense in doing so.
The government is better off at regulating cryptocurrencies and allowing it to be used as tradable asset and get tax from the capital gains on trading.
Absolutely correct. If a bill is passed from both the houses does not mean that it will become a law straight away. It takes time to become a law. Also, the government would give time to the community to make things alright. I also feel that this ban on private wallet won't happen but if it does then we do have the option to challenge it.

That's not the point, this is about the new variant which is creating havoc in South Africa. The only thing we know it is very easily transferrable than the previous variant. We also do not know how effective are vaccines with this variant. If these things are considered then I also feel this series might get cancelled.

My friend when ipl was taking place in India almost 50k people were dying each day still nobody was bothered about that and you are supporting that point. It was postponed when voices from inside India rose up. That variant was also very deadly but everyone cares about money more then covid.

IPL is a revenue generating event and because it was successful last time in Dubai, BCCI was adamant in its completion. Please do not compare IPL with a bilateral series. Also the same voices can again start asking BCCI to cancel this tournament. You cannot compare a higher revenue generating event with a bilateral series.
3530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 05, 2021, 09:00:59 AM
I don't think that India will be able to tour South Africa. The COVID cases are exploding there and yesterday they reported more than 16,000 cases. One week ago, this was in the 2,000-3,000 range. Omicron is destroying South Africa, and I am sure that the situation will get worse in the coming days. I don't know what was Jay Shah smoking when he announced the tour. Even if the tour goes ahead as planned, many of the senior players are going to pull out. And no sporting activity is happening in RSA right now. Everything is stopped.

If whole world can play IPL when India is under severely affected by covid and daily deaths were in thousands then why can't India tour SA. They can play cricket there under the bio-bubble, fair enough ? But since SA is not a member of big 3 so we won't see any favour for them.

That's not the point, this is about the new variant which is creating havoc in South Africa. The only thing we know it is very easily transferrable than the previous variant. We also do not know how effective are vaccines with this variant. If these things are considered then I also feel this series might get cancelled.

Because the Indian batsmen are the best, when it comes to the handling of spin bowling.
Those days are gone when Indian batter used to tackle likes of Warne and Murli with a toothpick. This current lot of Indian team is not equipped to play spin except few exceptions, they are still very good compared to other countries tho but previous Indian team which includes Sachin-Sehwag-Ganguly-Dravid-Laxman-Yuvi-Gambhir etc were exceptional players of spin.

Just imagine if opposition team had a equally capable spinners like Ashwin-Jadeja-Axar or even batting against this trio.

~snip~

I am expecting the match to be over by tomorrow unless the Indian players wanted to bat for a much longer period of time.
Happy for Ajaz Patel but equally disappointing that his team marked the lowest total against Indians at the same match.

Good news, its official.

This series might get cancelled considering the present pandemic situation is SA. NZ-IND test series is completely one-sided now with India having a lead of 332 it won't be possible for NZ to chase a target which I think will be over 400 runs. Indian bowlers were very efficient as they wiped out NZ for just 62.
3532  Local / India / Re: indian users will be required to keep their coins in exchange. on: December 04, 2021, 11:25:39 PM
even if u sell in personal, the money coming in your account can be traced.

and if they find out, you'll end up paying fine up to 5 cr or end up in jail or maybe both.

do u think every indian will take this risk?

i think not.
Let me tell you one thing even if the government traces the money from exchanges going into a wallet they literally can't prove who is the owner of the wallet because its just a virtual thing and you no need any ID to create an actual Bitcoin wallet and when we are going to give the ruling power to someone who is actually have some knowledge not who support the religion and Play the dirty politics.

All Indian exchanges have made KYC compulsory. So if you make any purchase through an Indian exchange then they will know who is that user. If sell on an Indian exchange they will again know. Only when you use your personal wallet then they cannot track or trace the origin of the transaction.
3533  Local / India / Re: indian users will be required to keep their coins in exchange. on: December 04, 2021, 02:52:01 AM
Why we will hold our assets in a private exchange when we do not want to sell them at all? I personally do not want to sell my Bitcoin and all of them are being held in my personal crypto wallet. How will then the government find out? If for any reason I want to sell my Bitcoin then I would use a private P2P service then how will the government track it? The only thing they can do is charge me a tax for the money that got credited into my bank account.

They can only regulate INR and Indian crypto exchanges and not cryptocurrencies in general.
3534  Local / India / Re: Crypto related questions are going to be asked in Winter session of Parliament on: December 04, 2021, 12:04:30 AM
There will be lot of questions as well as criticism in parliament on this notion. Moreover congress has been quite vocal in this Karnataka bitcoin scam issue and are targeting that BJP has been siphoned a lot of Bitcoins in name of this scam. Moreover the pace at which laws are getting passed in this session I really doubt that there would be any laws that would be implemented in this session, and moreover government has just received concerns from the stakeholders regarding ban, they would need some time to ponder over it before passing the law.

Nobody listens to Congress anymore mate! They are diminishing slowly will fade away in the near future. The problem is the present government that makes me go crazy when I hear some of the ruling party ministers think about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole. I am not sure what the bill will be about but the only point in that bill that confuses everyone is the term Private cryptocurrency. They plan to ban it but no clear indication of what they mean by that.

India is in a great position currently while NZ are struggling. Agarwal is playing brilliantly while Saha is supporting him well at the moment. Ajaz Patel is the only NZ bowler who is troubling the Indian batting line-up at the moment.

How many more chances will Pujara get? He scored zero runs along with Kohli who also hasn't regained his form yet. They need to replace Pujara in my opinion.

India can score 350 runs from this position which IMO are sufficient for there bowlers to defend. Lyer wasnt able to continue his brillent form which he gained from 1st test match. Kohli harsh days are still not over, he was rested for first test but still wasnt able to score any run in first inning along with pujara. Lets wait for second innings before drawing final conclusion.

I doubt they will reach that target, I think 300 will be quite competitive in this test. Mayank Agarwal is still on the pitch and is going good, he has already reached 120 and I think he will target 200. That would be great for a youngster in Indian test cricket. On the other hand, SL won the series was quite evident when WI started to bat.
3536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 03, 2021, 08:03:52 AM
India won the toss and elected to bat first. At the moment the score is 64/0, both batters are playing well and hopefully, continue to play throughout today. Westindies struggling at the moment they have already lost 3 wickets and have scored only 92 runs. I do not think they will be able to reach the target. This match has now become completely one-sided. If Srilanka wins then they win the series.

Hey!

Thanks for the detailed information. I am still sceptical if it will be presented in this session of Parliament because of the new COVID19 variant. I might be overreacting but that is what I feel I might be wrong and hope it gets presented this time as it is long due. We as a community need to know what the government is thinking. Finger crossed.

Well, the current situation is that Sri Lanka has scored a massive 328 runs for 8 wickets. And Embuldeniya has actually impressed me with how he stayed in the crease for 110 balls. De Silva played really well for his 153 runs. He basically held the SriLankan batting together.
Sri lanka are now in a strong position thanks to De Silva wonderful knock of 153 n.o, it was De Silva innings that has helped SL recover after losing 4 early wickets. Right now they are 279 runs ahead, they should try to give target of 325 to WI. Embuldeniya is blocking the balls well so its possible to De silve to take target to over 325.
Sri Lanka already won first match and now having very good position in second mean now they are winner of these 2 test series without any doubt and West Indies is going down day by day which is really matter of concern for them because having very poor resent test series is bringing them down very badly in this format now they are going to drop at 8th place after this lost and their current rank in all formats are 8th or 9th which is really poor because there is no positive news about them for having any good news and fans are also losing their patience with their poor run which can bring some more bad effects in this area as recently already Basketball and Baseball having some better response.

Srilanka has a good lead of 279 runs and it will be hard for West Indies to reach that score in the last day. The game has now drifted to the Srilankan side and now their bowlers need to perform well and take wickets in the first session itself. Dhananjaya de Silva has changed the game completely, 153 not out. A few more over and he would have easily reached 200.

For this month I am very bullish on Ethereum and BNB. Bitcoin is still one of the primary coins that I have been accumulating every month. There is another coin that I have started accumulating starting this month CRO, it has suddenly pumped from $0.20 to $0.78 now trading at $0.70. I am sure by next year it will reach $5.
