3521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are lightweight wallets less secure then traditional wallets? on: September 02, 2017, 10:55:00 PM
I honestly do not see any practical disadvantage to using a lightweight wallet for a person with a slow internet connection. So I was wondering, are they less secure then traditional wallet? Are the vulnerable to a specific attack as compared to a traditional wallet?

I think this depends on how the person use the bitcoins.

I prefer exchanges to save my bitcoins. I know that it is less safe but I use it to my loans so I need it some of it weekly. If I will be just saving my bitcoins, I will be using a wallet like Electrum and MyCellum.
3522  Other / Meta / Re: Please erase the recaptcha from google ! on: September 02, 2017, 10:23:12 PM
Please erase the recaptcha from google ! And replace it with regular captcha.
I always have trouble with recaptcha from google, everytime I login.
I'm sure a lot of people hate it too.
The image captcha always makes me confuse even thought I already choose correctly.
Do you agree if Bitcointalk remove the recaptcha from google ?

This post is supposed to be in Meta Section and not here.

Still, I agree with the captcha. I we're confused at first but the later I seen it and knew it, the more I become used to it.

3524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price prediction on: August 29, 2017, 03:28:02 PM
It reach at 4600$ so it possible but in my own predictions. This end of year will be between 5000$ - 6000$ and that's it. I don't think it would much more than that at this December. But this time if I get be wrong I would happy to be on that position.

As bitcoin market is growing and more people have started investing in bitcoin and various crypto currency. It will further scale on good run rate. Even i will be happy if it crosses my prediction too.

I am also thinking that it may exceed the price of $5000 at the end of the year, but we know that there are some corrections that happens every time bitcoin pumps up. I predict a price at $5500 at the end of the year, maybe less than or equal to these price is this year All time High.
3525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits from Gambling on: August 29, 2017, 02:34:23 PM
I've been gambling for almost 10 years now, I used to be an addict to poker and other card games but now I do gamble Occasionally. Normally, If others heard about gambling they'll probably be saying bad things about it *which is a fact*. Though, based from my own experiences. Gambling do benefits me in a way, especially Mentally and Emotionally. Mentally, As a teenager who started to gamble at the age of 15. I don't care about losing, I don't value money. But as I grow, Gambling did really change my perspective towards money and decision making. I became more mature and I must say that I did enhance my strategic awareness. Emotionally, I must say that gambling did really control my temper. I don't why, but whenever I play poker my state of mind became so calm. Even after I lose or win I'm calm and happy. At the age of 19, I learn how to control myself. Mistakes are part of our life which really is good set back for a good comeback!.

How about you guys? What are the benefits you get from Gambling?

But, I highly suggest not to become addict to this industry.
I do not get any benefit from gambling i only recieve enjoyment, but gaining my profit ? No, i believe that no player had became rich in playing gambling because all it do is gets all of your money. Only the owner and the dealer are the one's who benefits in gambling because all the loses of the players will go to them.

We are all enjoying our gambling activities, the problem there is that the money you will be using . Also I knew some people who get rich because of gambling, or maybe because of their luck, we don't know. All I know is that because of putting his money on the lottery, he won million times the money he bet on that number.
3526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility of hard fork to increase bitcoin supply cap of 21m on: August 29, 2017, 02:02:18 PM
Once we get closer to 2021, is it possible that this happens?

I too, don't think that bitcoin will be making an addition to it's supply. It will be having a great effect on the price and also not only the price but also the users too. I think what will become closer at that year is the great solution to the problem of bitcoin we are experiencing right now and maybe, an altcoin tailing the price of bitcoin.
3527  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin accepted as a type of installment on: August 29, 2017, 01:31:21 PM
Would be Bitcoin still be high in demand if its introduced and accepted by the market worldwide ? or the Bitcoin sales will increase ?

Bitcoin's price is always dependent on how the users use their bitcoins especially the the one's with the most bitcoins. The more the user, the higher the price will be. I think the term "Bitcoins Sales" is not the right word but I think many more will buy if the knew it is widely accepted in the market.
3528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On Which device do you Gamble? on: August 29, 2017, 01:01:08 PM
This is for educational purposes, thanks for any feedback.

I picked 50/50 in the poll but mostly I've done it in my mobile. I think the percentage is 65/35. I am always away with my Desktop, so whenever I feel gambling, I grab my phone and do my thing. But the thing is there are sites that I can't visit using my Android phone so I feel satisfied using my Desktop.
3529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: August 29, 2017, 12:29:35 PM
Expected thing happened, nobody surprised by this game and result. Mayweather could have finished before 10th round if he wanted to. The game could be less than 20 minutes but he didn't force himself. McGregor should stick to mixed martial arts, boxing isn't for him.

Thus is the reality and I think this game shows how boastful Mcgreggor is. But this fight satisfied everyone since many boxing fans, may or may not, are waiting for this fight. Many thought that Mcgregor might win the fight but seeing it, we already know who will win. Mcgregor even showed some moves that he is used in his fights at MMA, I think that give him some bad scores by the judges.
3530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: August 29, 2017, 12:10:48 PM
I was talking about what bitcoin is, but most people don't trust crypto currencies. They don't see examples of its use and therefore, I believe such investments are high risk. Even when they know about my savings into bitcoin they recommend to translate them in Fiat.

This happened to me in the past where I told my friends about bitcoin and they all laugh into it. That really made me pissed but I didn't told them that I am. But now that they are seeing the price of bitcoin, they are all taking back what they have said and telling me to teach them some ways to earn them, now I am the one laughing at them.
3531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: August 29, 2017, 11:41:07 AM
Gambling is probably addicting because sometimes you were win, sometimes you were lose. it's gonna enjoyed playing gambling. some gambler addicted too, cause they want more money to through gambling, It also treatment for those whose suffer in depression, and last the international pastime to us. that's some reason why gambling so addicting.
Gambling promises profits, gambling promises us to multiply money while Playing. The promise of profit from gambling that makes us curious to get it. Usually we will be hard to stop before getting What is promised and Do not want to quit after we get it.

If expecting of potential profits is what makes you addicted to gambling then it is called greed and it has to be dealt with because greediness can lead to bad consequences. We all greedy, I know, I'm a greedy person too. Smiley But it is a fact that the less greedy we are the better.

Still, there are some rare circumstances where greediness becomes a positive action. Greediness don't stay in the negative side forever, it sometimes fill out the postive side even in a small portion. For example, being greedy soth knowledge. But yeah, as you've said, greediness will really lead us to bad consequences.
3532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Become A Bitcoin Expert on: August 28, 2017, 12:53:15 PM
Hello, I've been hovering around bitcoin for months and I want to become an expert in it. What resources are available and what steps can I take to know all there is to know about bitcoin and possibly reproduce the technology involved.
Thank you.

This is a forum so it is obvious that you just need to read all you can here. You can't just start in a complicated way of understanding since you are new here, maybe some sites like Bitcoin.com can help you out. Researching is a best way to start a learning.
3533  Other / Off-topic / Re: BITCOIN TALK USERS MOSTLY ARE??? on: August 28, 2017, 03:01:32 AM
MALE
FEMALE

in my own perspective there are 90% of males are using bitcoins rather than females...
and I also based that when I will read in this forum..

it shows that MALE use the internet to earn money and do hardships for some bucks..
but they find bitcoin few years and started to bump up..
and now they started to mine.. etc

let me know guyzz I am not racist or else but let me know how may female and male are using bitcoin to earn few bucks

What is the reason why are you asking these? Also you are posting this in a wrong thread. Maybe you can move this to the Meta section.

Every profile here in the forum has it's gender, but it depends upon the user if they will be putting their gender or not. Saying that, we can conclude that knowing the exact number of boys and girls can be hardly known.
3534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do to prevent bitcoin from crashing? on: August 27, 2017, 11:49:53 PM
The best way to keep it from crashing is to used it but it cant be done by alone unless you are a whale so you need to asked a lot of people to used bitcoin the more person you asked to used bitcoin, the less percentage it will crashed

Even if many people use it, and the price continues to rise, the temptation of profit are still there, people will be selling off their bitcoin and it will be starting to crash again. Bitcoin is volatile so we do not need to worry about this things. It is normal for this digital currency to rise and to fall.
3535  Economy / Economics / Re: Will early adoring countries get large economic benefits from BTC? on: August 27, 2017, 03:32:28 AM
Will countries that are early to adopt and allow Bitcoin be able to turn this into an economic advantage to them where they're better off than before?

I think it's true that countries that first adopt bitcoin will benefit the economy as long as the country is well managed and used.

I think it may help people through their needs and satisfaction. People who invest first at bitcoin has the benefits, but I don't think it will be affecting the country that people is in. As said un the previous posts, bitcoin is really volatile and if the country adopt bitcoin which is so volatile, that will be really affecting the county's economy.
3536  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 27, 2017, 02:06:15 AM
Nope. If Bitcoin had a stable price many users will deal with it as normal currency to buy and sell things online, but not as an asset which can give you the opportunity to make good profit with time. This way many people will feel uncomfortable using Bitcoin.

I think it will be popular but not that popular as bitcoin is right now. Most of the investors put their money into bitcoin beccause they knew it will be having a good price in the future amd they can see that quickly.

I don't know how people will be uncomfortable with it, who don't want a currency you can use online right? They will be using it and I think there will be no debate about transactions and development of bitcoin.
3537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese never seizes to amaze on: August 27, 2017, 01:41:51 AM
Talk about mining with toasters, this idea isn't new as 21 inc have already thought of the same, but the Chinese were the first to materialize the said idea. My concern on this one is if the household products contain BTC mining chips, people wouldn't know that something is running in their product while they use it, causing a spike on their power bill. A cool idea, but hopefully Midea group would be open whether the products they are now selling has the chips or not.

I know right? Air conditioners are also consumable in terms of electricity, if you will be adding a mining chip that will spike more. Also, I think it will be hard for the appliances though, even though this is a good idea, it also open some problems too. Still the costumers are not asked about this but I think they sill not be accepting thism
3538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Not Practical As a Currency? on: August 27, 2017, 12:11:47 AM
I am also now thinking the same thing. Especially because the fees are getting too high in which we cant even buy a chips using bitcoin because it would take you almost a day if you do send a very low fee.

The problem here is the fees which are needed to pay for the miners. But I don't think that is the case. Why would someone give a bigger money to buy a cheap food?

What I am saying is that why would you use a bitcoin to pay ome chips? Instead of bitcoin why pick some change in your pocket and pay it using that? We are thinking too much of this thing and we obviously this will not happen. This is not a problem but we are making it one. The problem here lies on the transactions and not on buying chips.
3539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you guys withdraw your bitcoins to cash? on: August 26, 2017, 02:41:49 PM
I know that for some of you, you can withdraw it directly to your bank account using wallets like coinbase but this feature is not available for many countries.
Since its not available in my country too I always withdraw my bitcoins from my address to payza then from payza to payoneer (by using exchangers).

How do you guys withdraw your btc?

I am using a wallet, an exchanger bitcoin wallet named Coins. There is a panel there where you can cash out your bitcoins into fiats. They offer a wide variety to send and accept your money, either banks, cash pick ups and others.
3540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The SegWit activation was a joke? on: August 26, 2017, 10:54:17 AM
Hello guys, I really don't understand all the "excitement" about that SegWit thing. It already activated couple of days ago and still nothing - too many unconfirmed transactions, fees are very high, block sizes are still under 1 MB, and slow confirmations. Where is the promised lightning network? When (if at all) the current situation will change?

Well, some say it is because of the bitcoin Cash. SInce bitcoin cash is getting easier to mine, the miners are shifting from Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash and making the confirmations delayed. The block is not the problem but the miners who are confirming it.
