Isn't a kind of marketing strategy of a casino? I do not see any harm in such tactics. I have not watched any streams recently but I remember many casinos promote such streamers on their platform. If you are smart enough then you should know that it is a marketing strategy to get more customers. Another question I want to ask from you which gambling website do you think is a saint?
3562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Karnataka Government Banned Online Gambling on: October 07, 2021, 11:46:33 PM
If I am correct Gambling is banned in India and the same applies for betting. There are some states that allow lottery, not sure which states do. This kind of a ban does not make any sense as offline and online gambling falls under the ban. That is why there are so many incidents of illegal gambling and betting activities happening in India. I do not think such bans will affect a gamblers because if they want to gamble they will find a way.

Indian stock market indices have grown by almost 4 times since 2010. It may not be a right comparison, but gives an indication of how fast wealth was created in India during the last few years. I haven't visited India since the pandemic started, so have no idea about the situation on ground. Maybe you are right. But even ₹4,000 crore per team would be massive for the BCCI. This is more than the amount they received in 2008, by auctioning 8 teams. But if 10 teams are there, then they need to increase the duration as well, right? Right now it is 14 matches per team, which will increase to 18 if there are a total of 10 teams.
Right now ground realities are not good but still we have one thing surely rich is going more rich and poor is poorer BCCI is also going more rich as more teams more money they have no issue with this time even it's going from 14 to 18 because all under their own control. ICC will have some more from this extra income, mean all is good.

As it's going I am feeling in near future we will have situation same like Soccer, mostly Leagues will work and countries will have matches during breaks only because Leagues are more profitable than International matches. Hopefully this will bring some better change in all cricket playing nations.
It is already happening but the frequency is less. Countries are cancelling bilateral series because players are interested in playing IPL. Things will get worsen in the future and if you take a player's point of view they are earning more in playing in such tournaments than playing for their country.

Today's match was another surprise, i thought RCB would win the match easily but SRH played really well to restrict RCB and end up on a positive note even thought they had the worst team this season.

Just three wins in 13 matches and half of the squad just there to make up the numbers. I was not surprised by the poor performance from the SRH. It is just unbelievable that a team which has players like Warner, Williamson, Rashid, Holder, Saha and Bhuvneshwar can perform so badly. Hopefully they will get a complete revamp in 2022 and get better. What they need in an urgent basis is a couple of players who can score runs in the middle order. Saha scored runs while opening the innings, but he failed when batting down the order.
I some how felt RCB took the match for granted. I never expected them to lose from SRH. They are the worst team in this season of IPL. What a spoiler this match was for those who put their money on RCB.

I saw this song on TV but didn't really notice this thing, only after your time stamp I was able to notice the symbol. Haha It's interesting to see how these digital media outlets are changing the perception of people, while once gold was considered as a sign of richness and luxury, now holding bitcoins and cryptocurrencies is considered as a sign of being Rich and Royal, if these things continue, i am sure middle-aged people too will realize the importance of bitcoin and how it is really a store of value and the valid option of investment.

The majority of Indians still feel gold is a sign of richness and luxury. In my opinion, only the millennials feel that Bitcoin is a sign of richness and luxury as most of them are into cryptocurrency trading. The perception will change gradually if the media or the entertainment industry starts focussing more on the positive side of Bitcoin than the negative.

I guess IPL has taken over everything that's why we are having IPL discussion in Test Cricket thread.

Exactly it has taken over our mind Grin Look what it has done to everyone here we forgot there is a thread dedicated to T20 cricket. I am pretty much sure everyone knows about that thread but we are so much stuck in IPL that we have forgotten everything.

That is what is brand value. Please stop discussing about IPL on this thread.

Nothing can be done now. Forget it and next time onwards do not be careless, as those are actually money that you were transferring. After seeing ox most of us will think of it as an Ethereum transaction, that is common. It is just we tend to forget the copied version of Ethereum known as the Binance smart chain. Grin

BCCI is only after the money. If IPL is giving them so much why will they interfere with it and organize WIPL? Already they have suffered financially due to the pandemic situation. I do not think they will organize the WIPL anytime soon. They will wait and until the revenue drops from IPL, which I do not think will be happening anytime soon.

In around 3 weeks from now, they are about to auction two more teams for the IPL (25th October). This time, the auction amount is predicted to set new records. For two teams, the conservative prediction is a combined $1 to $1.2 billion, but given the extreme competition for getting a franchise, I won't be surprised if the BCCI ends up with more than $2 billion in their pocket. That should make up for any losses that they suffered due to COVID. Maybe they will think about the WIPL sometime after that.
Base price is $280 ish Millions for one franchise, i do agree that price could cross $500 Millions easily but billion dollar deal for 1 team sounds too much to me tbh. Unless Tata Group also jumps in the auction, which seems unlikely atm.

@Juggy777 Adani is participating in the auction, he's one of the big fish in India after Ambani.

You never know, Tata's might if Ambani's and Adani's can. They are already into everything except sports  Grin. I also do not think that it will go in billions. They are buying a franchise and not a company. WIPL is not a priority for BCCI now they are busy minting IPL at the moment.
3569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 05, 2021, 11:18:44 PM
Thanks for sharing the info. Thats a positive sign for future of woman cricket team. If Aus and England can do that then other big boards like India, CNZ, SA can also do that. The man and woman cricket should be played side by side so that rest of the world also gets an idea that woman are in cricket too.

I really don't know whether the BCCI wants that. They have voiced their concern that any other T20 league at the time of the IPL would result in dilution of the latter. This is the reason why they have prohibited Indian players from takin part in foreign T20 leagues, and one of the reasons why they haven't started the WIPL yet. The problem is with the outdated thinking from the BCCI guys. They believe that all other leagues pose a danger to the IPL. That should not be the case, as IPL is regarded as the most star studded league in the world.

This happens everytime. Sanju Samson fails at the crucial stage, after big knocks during the earlier games. They were 25/0 after two overs, and made 65 runs and lost 9 wickets in the next 18 overs. All the credit to Nathan Coulter-Nile and James Neesham, the two overseas players who were ignored for too long by the Mumbai Indians. I always felt that James Neesham was crucial to Mumbai Indians, after the pathetic performances from Hardik Pandya in recent times. They should have done that earlier.

What happened to the middle order of RR, it collapsed completely. Are they dependent on Sanju Samson only there are a few good batsmen down the order? With a score of just 90 runs, it was a completely one-sided match. You can not defend such a low score. When was that this guy Rahul Tewatia batted good, was it the last IPL?

Interesting match schedule for today RR vs MI. After defeating CSK I am pretty much sure that RR has the much-needed confidence. MI performance throughout this tournament has been depressing. I am pretty much sure they will repeat the same performance. I am putting my money on RR today.

Haha loved the advertisement and hoping more to come, although i hate the fact that kamine aache bhale gaano ki aisi taisi kar dete hai remix karke.

But sab vadiya si as long as btc attracting some eyeballs in India. We are obsessed with the gold so i would like this status to change irl, including in memes.

Remix is trending.
Everyone is remixing old melodies thinking it will go viral. Some did but not all remixes are great. No more gold buy only Bitcoin locket in gold Grin. Atleast Indian entertainment industry have potrayed something positive about Bitcoin and have not related it to crime and underworld.
3573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot market cap 2022 on: October 04, 2021, 11:48:48 PM
It is very hard to speculate the price of a particular cryptocurrency as the crypto markets are always volatile. If you are a long term holder than Polkadot is a good cryptocurrency project to hold. At the moment it is trading at $32.00 and its all-time high was $49 then you can expect it to reach $100 by the end of next year.
3574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 04, 2021, 11:35:05 PM
Though CSK lost their openers very fast followed by two more wickets, Raydu stood firm and his fifty was the kep support to push to 130 pllus. Then when DC started their batting, the openers put more pressure to the fast bowlers in the beginning overs and yes CSK bowlers were clover enough to take wickets and yes the fielding was really good from CSK. The winning match turned opposite towards DC. Yes, needed 2 from 4 balls and Bravo really disappointed CSK fans in his last over.
Back to back defeats surely big disappointment for CSK and their fans because they were playing the best cricket in last few matches, but suddenly Rajasthan Royals change their momentum of wins and bring them down to earth after this lost now against Delhi Capital's give more dent in this. Rayudu was only batsman who give some resistance, all others was very poor and not able to handle quality bowling from Delhi Capitals.

Now they have last match against Punjab Kings, and they need to win this if they want to stay at second spot because lose can bring them down to third RCB is also doing good for best end of this phase, and they have some better chances.

I was not expecting this defeat by CSK. Second defeat might demoralize the team. Yesterday's match was the worst since CSK was only able to score 136 runs. With such a small total in the T20 format, you cannot expect your bowlers to stop other teams batsmen. Except for Rayudu everyone else was a failure.
3575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh may be approve bitcoin very soon according to ICT MINISTER on: October 03, 2021, 03:05:16 AM
I doubt that Bangladesh will legalize Bitcoin. All governments in the South East Asia region are pretty much confused about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. They have not yet decided what they will do? But, if any one of them legalizes or adds regulation then all of these countries will follow each other. All we can do is to wait and watch.
3576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to mine bitcoin using Volcanic energy on: October 03, 2021, 01:15:53 AM
I am not in the position to say how poor a country is because I really don't know. But in my opinion, El Salvador just want to take advantage on the situation that no country has accepted cryptocurrency and maybe they have the reserve money to invest and use Bitcoin. I think the government has already partnered with some private Bitcoin companies that would manage its assets (maybe?) or possibly act as a consultant and to train natives in managing the coin.
I think what you are saying is mere speculation. El Salvador is trying to make other countries aware that investing in Bitcoin is profitable, I hope other countries are motivated to follow in El Salvador's footsteps and make the bitcoin price even higher. whatever the real purpose of El Salvador adopting bitcoin, I keep support them.

No one knows how things will work out for that country. Bitcoin is profitable for the individual users but here you are talking about a country that has recently accepted Bitcoin as a legal tender. Yes, it will help in mass adoption but it is hard to say now whether it will benefit a country and all its citizens. We need to wait and watch for a few years to analyze that.

We have seen bitcoin being shown in TV series, Web series and movies but have you ever seen bitcoin being shown in a song ?
I guess no but here we are. I was just watching a song on TV today when I saw the bitcoin symbol BTC being shown in the song.
Now this is some next level promotion for bitcoiners  Grin Honestly, I don't think the general public would have even noticed that since many people don't know the symbol of bitcoin.
Below is the link for you guys to listen to some nice music and watch bitcoin being used as a prop

Link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS1KrgB49H4

The first occurrence is at 1:32 and later it was shown many times in the video.
I guess bitcoin has surely caught many peoples attention as a money making scheme which is why it used as a money prop in the video.
What do you guys think ?

That was pretty fast, if you had not given the timestamp then I would have missed it too. I am certain those who have already watched this song would not have noticed that symbol and most of them are not aware of the logo. BTW, any idea what is the name of that model with the singer? Is she Neha Sharma?
3578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 02, 2021, 11:14:49 PM
Chennai set a target of 190 runs. But Rajasthan already near to the victory. Only 20 runs need from the last 4 overs.
Rajasthan Royals totally surprised me today with their batting display. When Chennai Super Kings set a target of 190 runs to win, i thought Chennai would win the match and Ruturaj Gaikwad once again performed for Chennai and if not for his performance they would not set a score like that and despite that huge total Rajasthan Royals were able to win and kept their qualifications dreams alive.
This was totally unexpected from RR. I was confident that this would be a one sided match after CSK scored 189. RR were able to reach that score with 15 balls left. Jaiswal scored 50 runs in just 21 balls, great batting.
3579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 02, 2021, 08:15:47 AM
Eventually, the PBKS team was able to win against KKR. KKR lost this match due to their bowling in today's match. I don't understand why Shakib Al Hasan is not being given a place in the squad even after being in the team. Narine is not performing as expected. Southee bowled very poorly today. Management should give Shakib a chance.
Only 4 overseas players can be included. One of their best bowlers can't be included (Lockie Ferguson), because spots were taken by Tim Southee and Sunil Narine. Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell make up for the remaining spots (they included Tim Seifert in the place of Russell yesterday). If Shakib has to be included, then the captain himself needs to drop out. Otherwise the bowlers are in very good form (Narine, Ferguson, Southee). Also, there is no room for an allrounder, as Venkatesh Iyer is doing an amazing job right now.
They should have added Shakib for the last game. Seifert is opening batsman and he came at no 7. Local openers doing good job for the KKR so Seifert inclusion in the squad made no sense to me. Also Shakib could have bowled as front line bowler so that they don't need to use part timers during critical period but it seems Morgan losing his mojo with his form along with the coaching staff.

Morgan is not doing well. Seifert's performance is not good. The team is not getting the expected performance from Sunil Narine. In this situation, they should be given a chance to be the best player in the world like Shakib. If Shakib had been in the squad in the previous match, I think Kolkata could have won. Kolkata lost only because of poor bowling.

I remember the last match where Sunil Narine was declared the player of the match. He was able to take 1 wicket yesterday but I think he has been pretty inconsistent in this season of IPL. KKR lost the match because of poor balling and fielding. KKR batting was up to the mark but the ballers failed to create any pressure for PBKS batsmen.
3580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 02, 2021, 06:47:26 AM
The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and the involvement of Pakistani forces in that changed the ground situation. Rather than any real change in the security status, this may be the factor that might have resulted in the tour cancellation.

Its important for future of Afghanistan cricket that ICC should continue support of Afghanistan. Afghan cricket team has made massive progress in last decade and it will be back to zero if ICC disconnect its support due to recent government change.

No one wants to risk their lives. I support the decision of the New Zealand Board. Because several players have received death threats. In a country like Pakistan, when players receive death threats, the players become emotionally scared and weak.

Absolutely wrong, there isn't anything like that happened at first place. New Zealan officials says they called off tour because there government said so. Details are never shared till date.

So to cut it short. PCB and other small boards have to increase there revenue if they want ICC to listen to them otherwise things will continue to move like that.
How do you think the smaller board will be able to increase their revenue? Most of them are already running T20 leagues similar to the IPL still they do not have money. Small boards need to restructure themselve and in force strict anti corruption law. They also need to work on their selection criteria. Most players are in some way or the other related to board members or ex cricketer. They need find good talent and start winning some good ICC tournament then only ICC will think about them.
