Tick, tock...

Word on the street is the final step of the puzzle is to be released to the masses by Friday!

Current players have had access to it for awhile now and @coin_artist wants to make it public.

Goodluck!

The prize can be found here:
https://blockchain.info/address/1FLAMEN6rq2BqMnkUmsJBqCGWdwgVKcegd

Don't understand what are you talking about. That address was funded in February this year, game was played much earlier. Current players had no access to anything special, discussion on LetsTalkBitcoin forum is quiet for some time.

I think this is was the first and primary address : https://blockchain.info/address/1TLSNYAx5P6Yjie3cF97fZh9U4B5UZ7PF  ad then he transferred 4.34 btc with this transaction, id :

-snip-

what do you mean with trick the SMF to upload .gif files? Can you explain better? Thanks.

Normally SMF forum doesn't allow you to upload .gif extension files. (It may be changed now).
But if you rename the extension to .png you can upload it as animated gif. (It should be under or equal to 120x60 px)

Oh thanks, I didn't know it... but I have read that theymos had said "no" when someone has asked if it was possible to add a .gif file as avatar. Maybe he didn't want ... I don't know.
3564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Everything Be Decentralized? on: April 01, 2015, 09:26:43 AM
Something should be centralized.
Not everyone is educated.

Look at those scammers and thieves who are on always on a prowl for unsecured sites, they do it because there is no central entity that will fuck him up if he did those things.

So, we sometimes need it.
Like it or not we are heading towards a totally decentralized technological future, or at least the option of being at a totally decentralized internet.

Yes of course, the idea of decentralize everything is good but the process might be very very difficult because some people dont like to "decentralize" all the life aspect (yes I know it is hard to understand, but this is true). The freedom and the decentralization are really correlated.

some people don't like decentralization, because it take away the security, you need always to trust a third party with decentralized system, that's the only problem i can see, otherwise decentralization is the future

Yes of course but if you know that "part" is honest because is governed by a code and you know this code because it is open source you should not have to worry. The hack of those various exchange aren't related with the bitcoin code itself, isn't it? However I agree with you, the future is not more centalized Wink.

yes you can have a gif avatar if you say i can make an gif avatar for you Smiley

I edited my earlier post, check it please Roll Eyes

Only I'm seeing the gif avatar Cry

The one in your profile is actually animated, but not the Spongebob one everyone else can see isn't  Cheesy

I tried uploading one earlier and it didn't allow me, it was below the file size limit as well. Anyone else get a message saying animated gifs are not allowed?

You need to trick the SMF to upload gif Grin
As you can see I've uploaded it successfully Smiley https://vid.me/YwJs

what do you mean with trick the SMF to upload .gif files? Can you explain better? Thanks.

E se io volessi comprare 0.50 btc, quanto dovrei pagarti esattamente? Fammi sapere, che potrei essere interessato. Grazie.
3568  Other / Meta / Re: Avatars re-enabled on: April 01, 2015, 05:35:47 AM
It is now once again possible to upload an avatar to the forum. You must be a full member or above to upload an avatar. Go to this page (also linked in your "Forum Profile Information" settings):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=avatar

You can only upload new avatars: you can't choose one from the server or use a link as you could before. (If you are currently using one of these types of avatars, the upload avatar page will say that you don't have an avatar.) Also, uploaded avatars are not resized: they are simply rejected if they are too large.

However, theymos can you add a couple of "predefined" avatar? Something related with bitcoin and cryptocurrency world? I think it would be interesting choose one of them instead of upload one.
3569  Other / Meta / Re: Avatars re-enabled on: April 01, 2015, 05:31:57 AM
Why is everybody's avatars bitcoin memes? Is theymos trolling us?  Cheesy Eal's and Quickseller's are Spongebobs. I think we've been April fooled haha.

If you view their profile page then you can see what they actually uploaded.

Are you sure ? I have seen that your avatar is different than the actual (in this discussion):

3570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gavin reveals Satoshi's been secretly working on BTC 2.0 on: April 01, 2015, 05:26:58 AM
April Fools is a bullshit holiday.

No I don't think, it is only a joke. If someone don't want to laugh, just pass this thread (however OP funny joke).
3571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could you imagine your life without Bitcoin poll on: April 01, 2015, 05:20:01 AM
Have voted for no, because I can't real imagine my life without bitcoin .... When I have discovered it I was really impressive and fascinated by its concept! I will never stop to use bitcoin and I really hope more and more people join the bitcoin world.
3572  Other / Meta / Re: Avatars re-enabled on: April 01, 2015, 04:35:20 AM

3573  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France plane crash: No survivors expected [Condolences to the families] on: March 31, 2015, 08:32:43 PM
A 'good' news :

Earlier Tuesday, Lufthansa said its insurer, Allianz, had set aside $300 million to “deal with all costs arising in connection with the crash,” Lufthansa spokeswoman Kerstin Lau said. Lufthansa also announced that the company has canceled proposed celebrations of its 60th anniversary on April 15 "out of respect for the crash victims of flight 4U9525."

“Instead of the originally planned anniversary event, Lufthansa will provide a live broadcast for its employees of the official state ceremony in the Cologne Cathedral on the 17th of April 2015, where the bereaved families and friends will gather to remember the victims.”

Thanks in advance Wink.
3578  Other / Meta / Re: Whats wrong with the trust system? on: March 31, 2015, 03:07:09 PM
I can see that you have only "1" green trust from escrow.ms. I don't know why everyone can see a different trust rating of a user. Lately I have noticed even other trusted users' trust rating has changed due to deletion of few members from the default trust.

Here (with only the DefautlTrust 'user' in my personal trust list):

I have seen few users have been removed (as someone said : cooldgamer, bitpop, chronicsky, etc... all those users in one day).
3579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you prefer bitcoin, FIAT money or other? on: March 31, 2015, 02:35:59 PM
But in a forum for bitcoin enthusiasts, don't we expect bitcoin to win this poll by a landslide?  Obviously the facts on the ground are that almost all of us still have to use fiat for one reason or another however I expect that almost everyone here "prefers" bitcoin when it comes down to it.  What am I missing?

I will expect the same thing, thanks for your useful opinion (have you participated to the poll or not?) but as I said previously there are 3 users that will choose FIAT money and this is very interesting.

I guess I skipped it because, to be honest, I didn't understand the point (and I still don't, actually).  Still, good luck with your poll!

Can I ask you why you have replied if you are not interested, as you said "I didn't understand the point (and I still don't, actually)." However thank for your useful post Smiley and have a great day.

PS: it is a simple poll in a simple bitcoin forum.

Bitcoin as most of my purchases are online and Bitcoin can buy some non fiat investments easily like precious metals.

Thanks for your opinion.
