3562  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Exchange That Converts Paypal Into Bitcoin on: September 04, 2020, 11:20:43 AM
I was wondering if there is an exchange that converts Paypal into Bitcoin directly?
According to "BestChange" there's one (Magnatus) but I recommend staying away from any platform that offers direct PayPal to BTCitcoin exchanges [they're mostly scam].

I would not recommend Magnatus.
They are holding back my money for no reason.
I think it is a scam site.

For indirect exchanges, you can refer to the following blog post: 4 Best Methods To Buy Bitcoin with PayPal – 2020 Guide
Take note: I'm not vouching for its content [DYOR].

3564  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Buy Your Netflix or Amazon Gift Card with Bitcoin at BIXXUS.COM on: September 04, 2020, 08:39:35 AM
I just looked at your website and in particular Amazon giftcards, I see it costs 390$ for a 100$ card, am I missing something, is there a bug ?
no
And why the big price difference, knowing that it is possible to obtain it at a cheaper price?
@emmaglory5:
It would've been better if you explained the reason behind those ridiculous prices instead of giving a one word response...
- I did some digging and thanks to google translation, I think the following quote is the main reason:

Is the price of the products based on the TRM?
No, the price of the products is not based on the TRM because in Colombia a bitcoin dollar is not equal to a US dollar. For this reason the exchange rate is below the price of the USD.

Do you sell real physical cards or digital one?
They mostly sell digital products with the exception of having a few local/Colombian physical products.

Give us a visit at Bitpr0.com and please let us know what you think!
I've seen a lot of other crypto directories but yours, by far is the coolest of them all Wink

I was wondering why all of the listed "News" in "CRYPTO TICKER" tab are linked to articles in "investing.com", instead of their respective sources?
- I do know sources are listed in there as well but it's unnecessary.

You might want to consider removing "Changelly"...
- Just search for its name in "Scam Accusations" board and you'll see a lot of accusations.

You should lock your other thread and continue with this one only...
- You should've moved it in the first place, instead of creating a new one in here.

3568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 01, 2020, 02:20:48 PM
Chelsea are really spending some money in this transfer window aren’t they. It looks like Abramovich really wants to have a proper shot at winning the big trophies again. They definitely look like they might be a force this season.
Indeed but I believe it'll take them [all these new players] a year to click perfectly with each other.

Even at 33, he's no ordinary player just Like CR7 when he was moving to Juventus.
Based on medical records taken at Juve, Ronaldo had [and still has] a body of a 22 year old. Not sure the same can be said about Messi's body [regardless of his quality].

According to several media, Juventus have an agreement with AOUAR!
I'm reading a lot of mixed rumors in regards to this. Arsenal is interested as well and looks like "he likes to play in EPL".

Suarez has been proposed to Juventus and now they are thinking about it, he will a free agent but with high salary. Let's see what will happen.
Tier 1 source.
It'll be an interesting replacement for Higuaín.

According to a reliable source, Arsenal has indeed signed Gabriel:
- My concern is, how on earth Chelsea signed/announced Thiago's signing without a quarantine of some sort?
- He came from France (a 2 week mandatory quarantine should've been in place).

It isn’t dragging on Scott - Gabriel has signed, is in quarantine and it’s just a matter of Arsenal announcing it. So nothing to be worried about 👍

Looks like Arsenal is going to finally reveal Gabriel Wink

Great find, anyway.
[nice catch]
Thank you.

I checked All unedited (or deleted) posts made by bitcoinst: I can't easily get a list of posts again, but this file shows the number of times (at the start of each line) a certain post was made.
A great addition to your tools. Is it possible to automatically get the topic ID for each or it's too much to ask for?

Note: There are of course also legit reasons to repost an old post, if I search my own post history the same way, I get many hits too (mostly bumps).
I do agree with you. I've done that in the past with bumps as well...
- I've even combined all of my posts in a single page into a single post but I did it when I wasn't in any campaign.
- The issue with the user in question is the way he/she is cheating the system in exchange for earnings.

Thanks to LoyceV's file, I was able to easily find another one with archived versions in google:
- I think bitcoinst's intention is now clear enough...

Tested And Approved!

CryptosGifts.com   ---> Supported coins = BTC, BCH, DASH & LTC    --->  Registration required? = No , No Kyc, No limits
Yeah, right Roll Eyes

Where did you find these two services? I checked the first, and I find it very suspicious that a site with so many (old) reviews has no online presence.
Did some digging for the first one and it's a fake/scam platform: [SCAM] Cryptosgifts - Fake reviews
- Not sure about the latter one on his/her list but seeing this user shilled for a platform with fake reviews, I'm guessing the other one is also a platform meant for scamming users.

Or there something suspicious behind this? For example, post are made by another people and this guy just copy and paste in the appropriate topic?
Close enough. I did some digging [only the last few posts] and found out [thanks to few users that quoted his/her initial post] he/she copy/pasted one of his/her older posts in the exact same thread:

In addition, these numbers do not seem to me too high, less than 5% of BTC are conditionally illegal, and the fact that this can be tracked is certainly much greater advantage than the fact that they are "problematic".

And for fiat currency, such figures would not be comparable.

Another Copied post:
- The gap isn't that much either and on top of that, the second one is posted right below his/her first post with some additions...

What a nonsense. Why is it about Bitcoin addiction while the reason is trading. At the same time, the very reason for the dependence has nothing to do with trading, and even more so with bitcoin on a straight line.
This is a very strange undertaking. But then what about people who trade altcoins or classic assets, it turns out that they are not dependent?
Nonsense.

I'm also a Gunner Wink

I'm expecting to see a three horse race between Liverpool, City and Chelsea...
- I have a feeling the latter one on my list will fail the same way Tottenham did in a two race horse that they end up getting 3rd a few year back Cheesy

If Arsenal manage to get all of their targets, I think we'll be competing for the 4th/5th spot in the league.

I know how that happened, just seen a top secret transcript of phone conversation between Lampard and Abramovich.

And, if they don't have an active ANN thread here people probably are even less likely to see the report.
In addition to stompix's post, some of these scammers tend to create their announcement threads later on in here...
- I see it as a necessary step ahead of these scammers.

I just report them to Google / Symantec / McAfee / etc. as bad sites. I something report to the hosting provider. I think we should probably discuss doing this as a default.
I just report the stuff to the following (depending on free time and my mood) and move on. Feel free to add to it:

~Snipped~
More than half of my reported websites either remain to exist for a very long time or completely get ignored...
- Unfortunately, such reports aren't enough.

Too much low-impact stuff burying more important scam accusations perhaps. I think such ponzis could be grouped into fewer threads. Perhaps each scam-hunter could have their own thread for non-Bitcointalk scams, update and bump it daily - should be good enough.
You have valid points but this could quickly turn into a big mess if discussions for each one of them are mixed into a single thread [especially for those with a lot of reported cases, even if it's only for non-bitcointalk scams].

Although a search *might* find it, it might not.
Based on my observation: If it's a new website, It'll end up showing on first/second page results [threads in here] within the first few days of its creation.

Crypto Directories is still under development and i plan to add more links and list in the future.
You might want to also consider adding the ability to down-vote, report and comment...
- Some of the listed websites have accusations against them + there's a need to change some of the descriptions that appear after hovering over a few of them.
3577  Other / Meta / Re: Why am I being the victim of false report? on: August 29, 2020, 08:32:25 AM
I want to hear from community and the mods if possible. I would appreciate anyone evalauting deleted post in OP.
I'm not the one that reported your post but if I have to guess, I would say it has to do with the second line in your post:

- You mentioned seeing OP of that thread updating his/her post after you commented [his/her edit was prior to yours], therefor your post counted as low-key spam since you repeated an answer [even if both updates were too close]...
  • I know your intention was to help and not to spam.
  • This is quite similar to a habit that a lot of higher-ranked members have and that is posting things like "the above user beat me [and other similar things]"...
    - Such posts doesn't add any value and should be taken down since they count as repetitive posts (unless they have other parts in them that are missing from previous posts).

Your moon icon does work. I can see the icon on your thread title.I think copy paste is the only way to do that. I have not seen any other option to add such an icon in the title.
Edit- Did not notice your edit  Cheesy
After my post, I have seen that author has edited his post and wrote that his method was working.
3578  Other / Meta / Re: How well did you know our forum's sections? [GAME] on: August 29, 2020, 06:35:39 AM
You need to guess the 49 sections including child boards but excluding local boards. You have 6 tries per section/board, basically, you need to maintain a good profit from the market graph of BTC. Each wrong key will result to downtrend line that could eventually make BTC's market price to zero. The person with the most score wins.
You might want to consider giving more chances by allowing an uptrend line whenever someone types two correct letters [I need to score 49 Cheesy].

You can also share a screenshot of your score here and let see how well you know our forum's sections.  Cheesy

Thank you for the detailed explanation, I appreciate it...

I forgot to mention that there seems to be a glitch when viewing/clicking buyers/sellers accounts.
- It automatically redirects to the homepage after loading their profiles for a split second.

Was it the loading speed of the site? If yes, We can adjust this in our server settings and we can consider speeding this up.
Yes, that's what I meant.
- I did test it with both my normal connection and a VPN.

Could you kindly share with us what would be the best methods to advertise to get users to use our site? We have done some research and have shortlisted some options but have yet to execute them. If we are able to find out first hand from experienced Bitcoiners like yourself or anyone who have gone through launching a brand new site, we would be most appreciative. Thank you so much.
Sure, here's a post I made a few days ago:

- You can purchase an ad slot on this forum:

- Depending on your budget, you can also launch a signature/social media campaign for your brand or simply purchase ad spaces from other known crypto blogs/websites + guest posting on them as well.
