3581  Economy / Speculation / Re: This time it's going BELOW 400 on: December 06, 2013, 07:14:48 PM
i think there is going to be strong resistance at $600, but that's just my uneducated guess. bitcoin over this year has become much more robust and resistant to the "noise."
3582  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcointalk, I need your advice... on: December 06, 2013, 07:12:03 PM
what the fuck, don't give it to her. it doesn't matter who she is to you. if it were your brother, and you had his gf's password, you still shouldn't be giving out someone else's personal info out.

if it turns out he is cheating on her, i can't blame the gf for wanting to find out.. especially if she's been loyal. but i'm not so sure she has the right to snoop into his personal info. there are other ways of getting the truth out of him, without his knowing.

i always thought BFL was an acronym for Big Fucking Losses.
3584  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: USA capital gains on: December 06, 2013, 06:29:53 PM

that's 2012. the 15% was change to 20% in 2013.

Sign a message using a private key of an address where you have at least >5k BTC if you want to be seen as at least remotely credible.

and also kidnapped, beaten, and robbed. he might as well make it easy for the perpetrators and post his drivers license/home address.

I read some distubring stuff yesterday about the reason Mandela being in prison for so long not because of his political views, but because he and his group were bombing civilians  Undecided Complicated history here...

It seems that often when you dig on person turns out they did some or had some rather disturbing things or views. Like Mother Theresa...

and ghandi, and martin luther king.. you see all these public heroes, and you begin to question everything. it's a vicious cycle. sometimes i have to ask myself if i'm being too cynical, and i don't know what the answer really is. all these people that we've been told to worship are still human beings after all.
3587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If confirmation takes 10 minutes, how will I buy coffee at Starbucks? on: December 06, 2013, 06:24:13 PM
If credit cards take 180 days to be confirmed how will you buy coffee at Starbucks?

well, there's a 3rd party ensuring that you won't be scammed (when using a credit card). with bitcoin, there's only you and the provider.
3588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the biggest reason stopping general public from converting to bitcoin. on: December 06, 2013, 06:21:33 PM
there are many unintelligent people on this board, so how do we know if this guy is genuine or not? i'd say we don't.
3589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Baidu stops accepting bitcoins payments. on: December 06, 2013, 06:16:34 PM
are they saying that the flucuating prices of BTC is making it too risky for them to accept BTC? they started accepting BTC when ti was $130 per coin.. sounds like a front for "we are scared of government."
3590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin not tulip mania? on: December 06, 2013, 10:25:02 AM
my peen is like tulips, as it has two lips on it  Grin
3591  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 06, 2013, 10:24:04 AM
Cheesy funny comment.. "i could be a millionaire now if i had only bought at its lowest point and sold at its highest" ... no offense, but no shit. this logic does not apply unless you actually own a time machine.
3592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch the tracking of the sheep marketplace thief in real time on: December 06, 2013, 10:20:51 AM
Good point. Allying with larger criminal organizations could save his life, if he could trust them. They have many institutions in place to move money already, for generations. I was just initially considering him trying to get away with it, on his own.

As far as returning them, I don't know how good of a bookkeeper he would be, if you were planning on taking the money and run.

but i wonder if the criminal orgs would just torture him until he handed over ALL of his bitcoins. why not, anyways? he's a wanted man, by both governments and druggies.

just because i don't like things up my butt doesn't mean i like vanilla sex... vanilla sex blows. btw, i'm 2 days into my nofap pledge, so i should probably talk less about sex, else i might "explode." man, it's starting to get really "hard" to resist.

How do you know if you've never tried? I've been so busy posting on this forum that I realised the other day I hadn't even had a wank all week haha.

Yep, did 2 beatings today Smiley

Laughed out loud at this haha.

same way i know that i don't like being killed.

That's a completely ridiculous argument and isn't applicable to this in any way. Sounds to me like you might be repressing some homosexual feelings/thoughts. Scared you might enjoy it and fantasise about a man? haha. Do you not try new foods or new things because they might kill you? Best not to leave the house and stay safe.

that seems to me like more of an ad hominem retort. how does it not compare? i imagine something going up my butt, and then i think "that would not be delightful." kind of like how i imagine myself dying, and thinking "that would not be my preference."
3594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoins indestructible? on: December 06, 2013, 10:09:34 AM
i don't see how you could say they are indestructible.. the blockchain relies on the users who download them. it could go FUBAR with a 51% attack, no?
3595  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-05 TechCrunch - Bitcoin Back Over $1K After Chinese Ban ... on: December 06, 2013, 10:05:08 AM
i see a lot of arguments from both sides... and at this point i am where i normally am: i don't f'ing know.. so as far as i can tell, the chances of it exponentially multiplying are 50/50, and that's a good bet to me.
3596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin realistically likely to rise to $42,000? on: December 06, 2013, 09:19:27 AM
take all of these numbers with a grain of salt. there are a lot of people that know more about me in finances (almost infinitely), but even those people have no idea... because they have nothing to base bitcoin on. no currency or commodity ever seen in the history of mankind has enough similar qualities to bitcoin.
3597  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-05 TechCrunch - Bitcoin Back Over $1K After Chinese Ban ... on: December 06, 2013, 09:17:33 AM
sounds like another case of media sensationalism. refer to something grey as black.
3598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Since you can give someone your wallet instantly, you can send instantly on: December 06, 2013, 09:14:55 AM
i don't think giving your wallet to someone would work.. it would be like getting a chargeback. if you bought something from me, and handed me your private key.. well, that means you could have a backup private key. and you'd transfer the funds out before i got home and then i'd lose whatever i sold you.

same way i know that i don't like being killed. i'm officially at 3 days, or 72 hours of nofap. i am acutely remembering more and more that ladies give me hard-ons.
3600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin beneficial to mankind? on: December 06, 2013, 09:10:49 AM
It has the potential to weaken a large group of corrupt people.

but more importantly, it has the potential to redistribute power to the common man. it gives us more choices so that we don't have to bank with chase.
