some people do not possess the ability to assimilate, especially when they emigrate to this country at a late age. my grandpa was an exception; came here in his late 50's and learned how to speak english. but most peopel from poor countries have trouble with this.

Most of Magic exists because science.
This doesn't even make sense. It wouldn't be Magic then. Haha yeah. I think magic is meant to be stuff that defies science or physical laws, but it's just illusion and slight of hand. Good magic should have you completely baffled by how it was done, and whilst there is always an explanation, I don't think it has to be specifically 'scientific'. if it can happen, then doesn't that mean it's part of the physical laws? it's more about our understanding of physical laws in relation to what can happen. |

i would say that the person on weed is probably safer for driving. high people tend to be more cautious; while people on alcohol feel more "courageous."

The US government being the largest holder of bitcoin is kind of a good thing. That way the US will not ban it. Think if China had that many bitcoin right now. We wouldn't be in this mess. The worse thing that could happen is that the US totally dumps and then bans it.

200/3 = 66.6 days per year. He spent about 20% of his year here. With RitzGrandCasino.com signature program you would have made 0.0013 BTC x 20000 = 26 BTC  That's a lot money :O It's not a lot even if BTC was worth $1000; 26 000$ over 3 years is pocket money. i did the math.. it was 18.2% of his entire life on the forum for 3 years, or 27% of his waking time for 3 years on this forum. |

ha, i like indie.. i prefer it over listening to pop. i like indie songs that sound something different, the kind of music where you aren't able to predict the next beat. i don't absolutely hate pop, but it's so bad these days. the only pop artist that i think is great/legendary today is.. adele. it's catchy with a whole lot of soul, unlike other pop artists today who abandon the latter.
is it just me or does anyone else find that there can be songs that you don't like.. even if you feel they are catchy? that's how i feel about pop.. it's got a lot of catch, but every song seems to be the derivative of another, so it feels like i already know every damn pop song out there.

Largest dose was 60 hits. Received a vial of liquid and took 20. Thought they were 1 hit/drop, turned out they were 3. Horrible. Normally LSD is a drug on which you can't overdose (The lethal dose of LSD that would kill 50% of average sized humans is estimated at about 12 mg). This guy will probably become the first one to overdose on LSD. An average hit is 0.08 mg. So 60 hits means 4.8 mg. Quite close. i really doubt he'll overdose on LSD. 60 hits is not even "thumb print" level, and many people survive that. i do think dank is fried though. seems like long-term use can lead to psychosis. |

Being from small-town Canada, I'd happily switch TO the United States.
I love Tech, specifically ecommerce. Canada Postage is too expensive, ecommerce dried out within Canada real quick. Competition is too difficult when you have the states right below you and Canada not trying to advance.
But as with most countries, there are pros and cons. Issue is people only look at the cons before looking at the actual pros of, for example, not being in Africa.
i like canada. if you came to the U.S. you would probably have to learn how to deal with so many dicks. canadians are really nice, communal type people.. and people more educated than most americans to boot. |

why the fuck do people even like musicals? seriously.. it's just a bunch of people prancing and singing. i didn't like that johnny depp movie about the barber/butcher or whatever.
+1. Me too hate these good-for-nothing musicals. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street was the last one of this type that I watched. Could have been much better, had they made it as a normal movie. i watched juno before sweeny todd, so i wasn't too perturbed. i walked out of sweeny though, one of the few times i've ever done that. i mean, i'd sit through most movies i think.. but then again, if i saw twilight, i would start getting angry with how stupid the movie is |

I've never been able to get into this band. Every single one of their albums just completely bored me. Haven't listened to their latest album yet though. i like their lyrics - mostly mocking how stupid society is. and sleep forever is a great song for cynics like me who live in their own dark mental space. don't you like metal anyways? i want to use the word fag, and not the "cigarette" kind either Nickelback How You Remind Me. I know everyone hates this band but I love this song.
I think they're just over-exposed. They are now, plus their last couple of albums have been shit. They kinda just went all sleazy sexist hard rock when that's not what their first few albums were about at all. Chad Kroeger seems like such a hypocrite now. i don't think they are hated for their overexposure. they are hated because they are an extremely successful band yet their music has no individuality or creativity. their music is just like a commodity, so generic. and then you see them wildly popular and even though their music is catchy yet so trite.. they rehash the same music styles and don't even go through evolution. it's the same reason why people in the 70's/80's hated the eagles. i have really negative views towards "pop" music and i'd say nickelback is one of the most poppy rock bands ever. |

you spent 200 days out of a total 1095 days.. good for 18.2% of your total living time for 3 years. but if you consider that people are awake for maybe 16 hours a day and asleep for 8.. that's 66% of your 1095 days = 722 days of being awake. so 200/722 is about 27.2% of your waking life was spent, per day, browsing this forum for 3 years straight.
i think spending that much time on this forum is unhealthy and will make you go crazy.
