361  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PCSO Idinemanda Ang Isang Blockchain Company on: October 27, 2023, 06:27:56 PM
362  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges allowing fixed monthly investment in BItcoin on: October 27, 2023, 06:21:29 PM
What do you mean "allow"? I make sure all exchanges allow it, they love to see you put in money every month.
Actually my thought about this, Any exchange would love to see a monthly deposit from a single user so OP can basically use any existing exchange we have on the internet. But there would be some major issues especially with the security. OP should know how risky is it to store your bitcoins in an exchange, as far as I know, they are not liable with their users losses once they got attacked by hackers, or any breaching incidents that caused their platform to go bankcrupt. Best, if you could store it in your personal possession, don't think about the annual profit you can get from storing it to exchanges, think about how much bitcoin you can get in a year.

363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Lose Everything Youve Gained in One day, or One Trade on: October 25, 2023, 06:56:09 PM
He can still limit his losses if he uses stop loss on his trade even though he is all in. But the problem with trading when greed kicks in is it very hard to control trading especially if he is on a winning streak then later has a minor loss which pushes him to easily do a risky trade just to recover losses immediately.
Yeah, setting a stop loss saved me in a lot of situation, especially when you spend most of your time just monitoring the market, then you will take a nap then suddenly the market moves against your position. Being greedy after a winning streak in trading really triggers your greedy side, especially when you earn almost 100%, tendency would be you'll trade again in like an hour after taking profit.

Many traders commit this kind of mistake especially the exchange offers an insane leverage that will surely liquidate traders position with just one strong price swing.
Sometimes the leverage that exchange is offering is very high, which most of traders can take advantage of especially day traders, but this offer could be a strategic move from the exchange especially when they highly anticipate a certain type of market in coming weeks. Do you know any exchange that changes its leverage in season?
364  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The world economy and global systemic terrorism. on: October 25, 2023, 06:20:01 PM
This is what they have been doing for a long time. Major powers initiate war and join in the proxy war to dismantle the whole region, then emerge as saviors by offering their weapons and money.
But it's like a suicide mission, right? when they initiate war, this also means that they are gambling against their whole nation. This is too deep for the topic, and we might have different views on government but I can agree that the government will not care of its people in times of desperation.

The arms business is getting bigger globally and all the major powers are responsible for this. All terrorist organizations have a connection and are funded by a country. You can say these are some private military organizations secretly operated by various governments around the world.
If we come to think of it, there are terrorists group that have funds as huge as the government's fund to its military, from this angle we can determine that there is powerful people behind these terrorists group and it could be bigger than a government, could be multiple? I didn't know why there are government in the world who funds a terrorists group and fight them to look like a saviour.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you leave the country or will you stay, stand up and fight for your right? on: October 25, 2023, 05:45:25 PM
If this law is eventually legalized, we are going to have Bitcoiners who would be persecuted and jailed for wanting to fight it. There are going to be Bitcoin martyrs. Will you leave the country and take your Bitcoin with you, or will you stay and stand up and fight (non-violently) for your rights?

The earlier the better for the government to realize that bitcoin is not their enemy,
It's not something they should be realized of, because it is really not in the first place. If the government's reason why they are doing that is because of its high potential medium for money laundering, then its a total BS. Everything has its own advantage and disadvantage, and it is one of bitcoin but it is not enough to really fight against it especially that the government is not running a single person.

it had rather come to help them with every of their financial unfinished businesses, there's no any law that will stand against bitcoin, if they couldn't achieve such over fourteen years now i don't think they can anymore, the good aspect of it is for their proposal not to stand, if not everywhere you go through will always carry the same regulations on bitcoin.
I'm fine with the regulations they are trying to make around with cryptocurrency, but I think it is really fair for everyone who uses or not, for it to be regulated just so the government has a point touch of it. I hope they realize that this isn't something they should be prioritizing because there are more bigger than this matter.
366  Economy / Economics / Re: What does being rich mean in your perspective? on: October 24, 2023, 06:46:43 PM
In terms of tangible assets, my view on being rich is being able to afford everything and anything they want from their food, house, cars, jewels, etc. But I also believe that being rich is wealthy is on a different level. Being wealth for me means that you own a lot, you're not 'richer' you are a lot richer of the rich person, idk if you will get that but that's how crazy rich a wealthy person is. While we dream of being rich someday, there are also some rich people who dream of becoming wealthy.

Every one of us has different views on these terms, I like how others are addressing this generally, not just monetarily. OP didn't mention it.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixing is NOT money laundering, per se on: October 24, 2023, 06:23:20 PM
If there was really nothing suspicious about the service mentioned in OP, government must not have taken action against them.
Lol. You think the government only take action against things which are illegal? The government works exclusively for themselves, and will take action against anyone or anything which threatens them, illegal or not. They'll take action against someone who did nothing except write open source code under the guise of tErRoRiSm, but they will ignore fiat banks laundering literally hundreds of billions of dollars for actual terrorist organizations.
I believe so. They are called government to govern its people and territory, so technically they are not only against to illegal activities but also to something that possesses a threat for their government this includes decentralization like cryptocurrencies. Government knows the darkest side of the story of their country and won't even give a bulge about it.

It is true that Bitcoin mixing is not money laundering, but it can be a tool or instrument to use in money laundering.
And the internet is a tool or instrument in money laundering, and fraud, and terrorism, and lots more. Should be ban the internet as well?
Good analogy, not every mixing is laundering. I agree it is used in money laundering but that doesn't mean it is illegal. Same as guns as well, you can kill someone with it or you can save someone using it.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should have taken this risk earlier. on: October 24, 2023, 05:54:51 PM
You won't think about it when bitcoin price moves the other way. See there's no one to blame or something to regret with what happened because we cannot really predict the future. I think the lesson you need to learn from this is to take the risk, without risks you cannot gain from something. I know we all did regret on how big we missed investing on bitcoin back then, this is the same feeling you had when it crossed $34K, imagine there are people who sold their bitcoin for less than $100, $500, and $1000. Investing now might be a bad idea, I'm speculating that it won't reach $40K by the end of this year, and you badly need the money for your education. Learn to time your risk taking.
369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is regulation of cryptocurrency exchanges essential for mass adoption? on: October 23, 2023, 08:16:59 PM
You're right! But one thing is sure, in the future blockchain technology & Cryptocurrency will win over the government. It's just a matter of time. Government simply want where they can exact control on citizen's finance like they do to fiats from the central banks. All we need is, more legitimate & trustworthy blockchain services providers at different levels - Exchange and otherwise, and enlightened Crypto users who will help make the work easier for these Exchanges to survive.
the government will never have full control over bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, it will only be temporary control.
Bitcoin remains decentralized and will never change. If the government takes full control then that's the end of decentralization and bitcoin technology is no longer useful.
No goverments cannot even get a temporary control over cryptocurrencies, cryptocurrencies are fueled by fiat which is owned and regulated by the government, once the fiat is converted into cryptocurrency that's the time the government loses it and cannot control the circulation of that amount anymore.

Bitcoin's goal is to escape the grasp of governments and third parties who want complete control. The blockchain will still be uncontrollable and everything will be permanently recorded on the blockchain, the government hates that.
Hmm that's not what satoshi included in bitcoin's whitepaper as the goal, tho that may be part of it but not directly stated. The goal of the bitcoin is to be a global cryptocurrency that cannot be owned technically speaking by any government, the only time it will get a control over it is when only a few people owns the entire supply. I hate to coin it "uncontrollable", it is making the whole crypto a disastrous thing for the world. Let's call it untouchable.
370  Economy / Economics / Re: Bangladesh economy facing headwinds on: October 23, 2023, 07:41:55 PM
We can't just limit it to a single nation, I would say that it doesn't look like there seems just a single nation, it looks like there are a lot of nations that are doing "worse" and that's normal, the world is doing quite terrible with economy, wars, politics and many other stuff, even health is at alarming levels of bad these days.
I agree, this happens to every nation especially when a country relies on another country's products or services. I think it is pretty normal, besides Bangladesh isn't a first-world country, so they might be just doing good with their economy and can easily maneuver things off. The world is facing global problems at the moment, it is not surprising that some countries may be affected directly or indirectly by these world events.

People forget that staying at home for a year or more and being locked down came with issues, from psychological to biological, believe the virus or not, vaccinated or not, that's not the point, staying at home for a whole year is not good for human body and mind. So all in all we are at a stage where its not really doing all that well as a globe. We have way too many issues and we can't really solve it at this moment.
The Pandemic really hits differently, felt like the world isn't the world we lived in for the past 3 years, seems a lot has changed through that course.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to invest or trade Bitcoin? on: October 23, 2023, 07:24:00 PM
Either of these two can give you profit, but doing both can give you massive profits. It all depends on how are you willing to invest time with bitcoin or crypto in general, if you have ample of time you may wanna spend in trading because trading is a good way in market to gain profit in daily or regular intervals you want. On the other hand, if you don't wanna be on your monitor in most of your time, then you can invest and hold bitcoin until such time that market turns green or enter a bull market. But trading involves more risks thank merely holding your bag, it's like walking on the streets trying to buy the cheapest coins vs holding your bag while watching tv program at home.

Don't be negative about it, it's good to be curious to something.

I can't see a reason kung pano mo nasasabi to, parang ginagate keep mo yung forum  Huh
373  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Educational plan sa Bitcoin o Insurance? on: October 22, 2023, 07:06:52 PM
Why not both? You can do esucational plan da mga known at huge bank tapus invest in bitcoin for long yerm say meron ka nang 3 years old then until maging college yan in 14 years magkano na bitcoin value niyan.

I agree.

374  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Which bull run experience is the best for you? on: October 22, 2023, 06:22:26 PM
2017 bull run and of course the peak of Axie.
Sobrang dami ng mga opportunity to make money during that time and doon talaga ako nagsimula na magbago ang buhay which is until now naeenjoy ko because nagtiwala ako kay Bitcoin during that time.
I wasn't able to fully ride the 2017 bull run, but I surely made some huge profits during this time. I must agree, yung peak ng axie last 2021 and the crypto market looked crazy diba, hindi inakala ng lahat na that year mangyayare yung dating haka-haka lang nung mga nakaraang taon, and given the short period of time is ambilis lumaki ng market ng crypto, talagang game-changer yung dating sa financial space ng mundo. Nung 2021 naman yung best bull run ko, together with my friends, kumita kame ng malaking halaga na nagamit ko para makapagtapos ng college and syempre personal expenses  Cheesy
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Implications of War on Individuals on: October 22, 2023, 05:59:54 PM
We cannot avoid wars, There are some people who have different perspectives, and beliefs in life reason why hard to have unity,
That's true, in order to have unity everyone should have the same point of view, beliefs, culture, political stance, etc. This is why the world could not achieve the unity we all deserve for. What we can do the least is to have peace, even if we do have a lot of differences, if we are able to accept those differences then we can all have peace for the world. No wars and conficts!

It was a hard matter most of the government will support or oppose so they needed to join the war or else becomes a follower. On mine i hope i don't experience this thing in my country.
No one really wants it, especially us the citizens because we are all going to suffer if this happens. But at the same time, government is preserving its peace in its country, every country, any threats to peace in order to any country will surely result to war. Also, government have treaties and agreements in times of war, so even if you're country has nothing to do with the enemy country of your treaty agreed country, you should be an ally and support them during war, which will technically include you in war.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Did You Meet Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2023, 05:24:42 PM
I guess almost everybody have the same story as mine lol A friend of mine introduced bitcoin when we are just high school, I'm on twenties now not so old not so young, that time I don't really have a money to invest or to try it on my own so I basically ignored it, I remember calling him like a "weirdo" coz who believes on internet money that time ha! But it turned out to be the way, when I saw him earning and keep telling us to join I gave it a shot, earned a lot of money, did the same thing to my friends and they called me "smart ass" for believing, then started chatting me on social media when I post something on my stories/reels " how do you do it bro", "Do you have a job?" some kind of messages and I'd just ignore them. The coin is circle my men.  Cheesy
377  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Traditional business or investing in bitcoin? which one is good? on: October 20, 2023, 07:49:05 PM
If we are talking security, wala talagang financial security na maibibigay si Bitcoin sa atin, realistically we are just assuming that bitcoin will increase its value in coming years which is a high probability. Pero pipiliin ko pa rin both para maging diverse ang portfolio at magkaroon ng cover din both traditionally and sa cryptocurrencies. Sa isang banda, if we want our future to be secure mas lamang sakin yung traditional business, proven and tested na to sa mga mayayaman sa atin, noon pa man na wala pang bitcoin eh mas nakakatulong to para sa future ng isang tao. Ang kagandahan naman sa pagpili neto parehas ay mas possible ang win-win situation mo pag pumatok ang business mo and dumating yung time ng bull run.

Parehas may pros and cons, but these two is a good weapon for the future.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 20, 2023, 06:18:23 PM

Share your ideas, tips, and stories about saving money, and together, we can figure out how to get better at it. (We will also draw valuable lessons from the mistakes and experiences of others.)
I get sick of budgeting most times because my budget doesn't budget at all. This change so fast. Inflation increases the prices of goes in the malls and shops each day that when you look at your budget, you have spent more than you budgeted for.
If you go beyond your budget, and spent money to unnecessary stuff, then there's nothing wrong with the amount you have, you will realize that it's you who has to adjust with these kind of spending. And budgeting requires a common sense, we know goods cost higher these days and you need to adjust with these as well. You don't budget $20 on electricity bill if you are at home with 24 hours ac and computer on.

My new strategies involve putting money out for saving first and use the rest of the money for other things.
actually this is the normal thing to do, glad you found out.

A fixed amount of money is removed from my income each month and saved somewhere where I cannot touch it until a maturity period.
Putting it in cold is the best to save it. Not on your cards, e-wallet, or somewhere that can be access online to avoid temptation of spending.

379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice on: October 20, 2023, 05:54:40 PM
Even $100 is your free money and your daily expense are covered by your father, but can you afford to lose your $100 for every month?
What do you mean lose for every month? Did you mean like can he able to like just invest his $100 in long term and hodl? or you really think he's going to lose his $100 by just investing to bitcoin during dump? coz if that's the case then it is very impossible to lose a $100 if you invested $100.

You might think it's impossible you will lose by invest in Bitcoin, but there's always a possibility especially you're buy during bull run.
[/quote/ He won't lose until he sell his bitcoin, he did his researched and he knows that it is volatile, now is a bear market and I don't think there should be something to be afraid of, if you he is looking forward.

The key of invest in Bitcoin is holding, as long as you not sell your coins, it's just an "unrealized lose" and you have an opportunity to earn during bull run.
I think that's the point of the OP, he's trying to get some advice if this is a good time to invest monthly on Bitcoin and sell during bull run...
380  Economy / Economics / Re: Isreal and Palestine war and losing your wallet phrase and password on: October 19, 2023, 06:59:26 PM
War will result in great destruction in the warring countries, not only will infrastructure be destroyed, casualties will also fall on both sides. Every individual who holds crypto assets must have a strategy so that their assets can be taken back when peace occurs (if the individual holding crypto assets does not become a victim).
Having a cold storage doesn't mean it protects your assets, it is you who should protect the cold storage. In times of war we cannot predict what would happen, we knew how things are pacing during this time, but always assume that it will be a massive destruction. I don't like thinking these things but this is true, so if you possess a physical storage for your assets then you must avoid any physical destruction to secure your assets.

When the atmosphere is chaotic, saving Phrases on a PC is not recommended. You need to choose the safest place to store Phrases such as non-flammable and heat-resistant objects. Apart from thinking about your personal safety, you also need to think about the assets stored in your Wallet so you can use them again to finance your personal needs when they are safe.
Perhaps, keeping a portable laptop with you that you can always go with you is the best thing to have.
