361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade if you're inexperience rather stake your coins. on: October 07, 2020, 05:27:32 PM
I agree with don't trade if anyone inexperienced but can't agree with stake all types of coins. Because it
Is no doubt that lackings of experience increase the chances of loss in investment. One should not go to vast investment in primary. First take time and practice
more then invest a little to check how fit you are. Some of
the coins are not right to stake because they haven't
worthy characteristics so those coins who have the chances to make profit can stake otherwise not.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Historical prices of bitcoin on: October 07, 2020, 01:04:43 PM
Historical prices of BTC can't measure at a glance .Because of it's nature it can't be said that any fixed time
Of revolution is stable. But during the life time of BTC it reached at highest price of 20k.We hope that BTC will break it's previous price continusly and reached at the top of crypto currency.
363  Economy / Economics / Re: FOLLOW THIS RULES TO BECOME RICH on: October 07, 2020, 11:27:05 AM
FOLLOW THIS RULES TO BECOME RICH

Rule 1
Money is covered only by the words of those who govern those countries.

Rule 2
Monitor your expenses ( Even the tip you give to a stripper)

Rule 3
Don't gamble

Rule 4
Don't invest in women (gold diggers)

Rule 5
A investment is a operation  that allows you to recover the initial amount invested and it will generate you a profit after rigorous/logical/rational analysis

Rule 6
Diversify ,but put your eggs only in things you understand and things that gives you pleasure /joy to find out more information and to analyze them.

Rule 7
Invest in things that do not expire or have a long  shelf life and that provide you with a stable income. Example: Land that you can cultivate and build on it at the same time.

Rule 8
Evaluate the things you want to invest in ,and try to buy them at a discount.

Rule 9
Use compound interest as a tool ,and your ROI/yield should be greater then losses caused by taxes, fees and inflation.

Rule 10
Do not enter in conflict with governments, countries you will LOSE.

Rule 11
People can be greedy, power and money corrupts, accounting data can be faked and companies can use different standards to do the math, and people can lie about the things they want to sell or to get rid of .( Why would you want to sell something that is generating income ? )

Rule 12
Create contacts and educate yourself

Rule 13
Do not let inflation corrode your money ,move it but do not move it to much else you will lose it in bank fees, taxes etc ... money is like water.

Rule 14

Rule 17
To invest you need capital ,you get it in time with work and sacrifices ,drop by drop.

Rule 18
Value of a thing is given by how much someone wants that thing in a moment in time ,
If i am in the Sahara Desert now and if can't find water in a 1000km range and if don't have a car ,water is worth more then  gold. If you live next to a river with clean water ,water is worth zero to you.

Rule 19
Land,Proprieties that are next to intersections/crossroads are worth more then does that are not .

Rule 20
Safe money is more valuable then risky money .

Rule 21
If the investment has a good manager and a low return then the investment is a bad investment .

Rule 22
Invest in people and their skills / qualifications .

Rule 23
Don't invest your money all at once ,life is like a roller coaster.

Rule 24 The Most Important Rule
If your rich, famous, powerful ,beautiful, healthy, loved that does not mean you are smart ,or your parents/family are smart . It's just your fate given to you .

-----------------------------

If i would have  listen at the right time ... i would have been rich now.

Thanks a lot for disseminating so much information.
The rules that he has explained are very satisfactory. If you want to be rich in life, you must follow certain rules. There is no alternative. However, it cannot be said that everyone is getting rich by following the rules. One thing I think needs to be above all is ethics.
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: October 07, 2020, 10:41:51 AM
Many believes that winning always favor the houses, but there's still many who believes that in a certain point and chance, they could take the win. There's nothing wrong with that, what is wrong is when we have a losing streak but still continues to play anyway.

Have you ever wonder what happens if someone bets a huge amound of fund, the same way as those who betted all in in a casino game then loses? This topic could help us understand why we should be disciplined enough, and why we should learn how to stop at certain point in gambling.

I've read this artcile What Happens to the Biggest Gambling Losers? stating some instances of biggest gambling losers.

10. Chun Lei "Samrostan" Zhu - Lost $15 million
Quote
lost about $15 million while he learned the ropes playing high stakes poker online.
There's nothing wrong about learning new a game or strategy, but be cautious and try to bet gradually.

9. Akio Kashiwagi - Lost $19 million
Quote
in 1992, he was found brutally murdered in his home near Mount Fuji, stabbed over 150 times.
Spending too much in a casino especially putting yourself into a huge debt from a variety of casino could risk even your life. Learn to bet an amount that you can afford to lose from your own pocket and do not risk funds that you aren't sure if you have the capacity to pay.

8. Gus Hansen - Lost $21.7 million
Quote
He has accrued $21.7 million in online poker losses at Full Tilt.
We all have our favorite casino and, online and physical casinos differ depending on how used we are to it. By changing our platform, this doesn't mean that we can apply our strategies and be wild in betting already. It's a new environment and it's better to start leaning again.

7. Kerry Packer - Lost $30 million
Quote
he would place enormous wagers on the roulette wheels of London’s Crockford’s casino, only to lose on all of them.
Despite of his huge loss in gambling sprees, Kerry Packer is known to still have huge assets and $30 million is just a small amount for him. This is the ideal gambler for me, since he know that he could still live in peace even if he lose a huge amount.

6. Michael Jordan - Lost $? million
Quote
he lost $2.5 million in six hours of playing blackjack. It is also rumored that his first retirement was actually a secret suspension from the NBA.
Knowing that we have a very popular image, becoming a gambler could impact how the way people see us in public. Perhaps, being a politician or a person who handles financial insitition could induce doubts for people to believe on us even if we really don't have an intention to gamble even a part of funds that doesn't belongs to us.

5. Archie Karas - Lost $40 million
Quote
In 2015, he was caught cheating at a San Diego-area casino, marking cards. He was also caught cheating by fixing chips
He was believed to turned $50 dollars into $40 million by playing poker. With years of playing, he lost it all and found out that he was cheating in casinos. There's nothing wrong with losing because there's always a time to stand up again and play. But there's no hope if we got banned from casinos through cheating.

4. John Daly - Lost $55 million
Quote
While he won an impressive $35 million, he lost and even more staggering $90 million, working out to a total loss of $55 million.
After losing, John Daly switched from $5000 slot machines to $25 ones. There's nothing wrong by playing in moderation, it means that we are learning from our mistakes and it is a way to stop the impact of a huge losing streak. Our goal in gambling is not just to be rich but to experience the fun in it. $25 slot machine is still a slot machine right?

3. Omar Siddiqui - Lost $121 million
Quote
Even as he earned $225,000 a year, he once lost $8 million in a day.
He played at the Venetian and MGM Grand while having a multi-million dollar debts from other casinos at the same time. It was also said that he used $65 million from his company in gambling. If we could think of a way to pay out debts, gambling is not the best idea, as it could put us down to deeper debt if we didn't succeed.

2. Zhenli Ye Gon - Lost $125 million
Quote
Between 2004 and 2007, Zhenli gambled away over $125 million – in cash. He was among the largest up-front cash-only players at the Venetian and in Las Vegas in general.
After losing $125 million in gambling, in 2007, Zhenli's home in mexico was raided and authorities found out a huge amount of drug money. It's a big learning for us to always use a clean money in gambling. That's why sometimes, casinos have bad images, since movies are showing big gamblers who gets their money from illegal activities.

1. Terrance Watanabe - Lost $127 million
Quote
Terry Watanabe said he bet more than $825 million, losing $127 million in Caesars Palace and The Rio casinos in 2007.
He was said to lose for about $5 million a day playing 24 hourse in casinos and with this, he was burried to dept. IMO, it impacts his health allot with the lifestyle he lived, that he got a cancer. As a gambler, we should take good care of ourselves and spend a most of our time than gambling. Money isn't always the solution for happiness, perhaps, bonding with our family is better and building memories with them are the treasure that we can keep forever.
I just wondered to see the stats of amount which they lost already. The one and only thing is greed which is responsible to loss everything. I believe that there are many people are involved for very much aggressive in nature in gambling and resulted to loss everything for their greediness. I am also a victim and I have lost small amount as considering with them the amount is nothing, lol Cheesy

I have learnt a lesson already, if they can't understand then no way to teach them anymore. Aggressive nature is very much responsible for losing everything.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: everything can happen on bitvest on: October 07, 2020, 12:05:49 AM
It seems OP won 5 LTC by only bet with 0.001 LTC. What an amazing jackpot!
Yes, the guy is the lucky one who got this jackpot. Not everyone is lucky to win such thing as I have participated many betting sites earlier if this months but my luck not favor to me. Obviously, the guy is the luckiest one from all. Congratulations man.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: October 07, 2020, 12:00:32 AM
Micro-transactions. I don't know anyone who doesn't hate it (except the people who actually play the games and spend their money on it of course).

It's a really clear way of gambling for me, but to others it's just chance that they're not forced to pay for. Brilliant strategy and it's only a matter of time before this gets regulated.

yeah, it's an approach for soft gambling.
they spend diamonds/gems/or whatever they named it, to get a chance to win premium items such as skin, weapon, etc.
the funny thing is, sometimes it is more interesting than the gameplay itself.
Yes it's becoming popular and people are getting panicked to catch those tricky things. By the way, some people are suggesting KYC program for crypto gambling but it won't work a lot to prove legitimate usage. Because we have already seen that KYC program can't verify a person or people often use fake things but system verify them as valid participation. Need proper guidelines and strick monitoring policy like parenting to the children's.
367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Investing/trading Opportunities for stable returns? on: October 06, 2020, 05:13:01 PM
I have heard that a few platforms are giving out stable returns(3 to 12)% on investments, depending on daily/monthly/yearly investments. Does anyone know any such platforms? And would you advise to invest in those? It would be great if someone can share a website that compares or lists such platforms. Thanks.
I furthermore like to know. If anyone knows, please share, I will be benefited a lot. If you find or are suggested by someone, please do share with me.
Thanks in advance  Grin
368  Economy / Economics / Re: Waiters/Waitresses/bellboys etc just lost their jobs on: October 06, 2020, 05:05:08 PM
As far as I've glimpsed, it's not merely the waiters/ waitresses/  bellboys who have lost their jobs. Many proficient people are victims of this pandemic crisis. In our country, 30-40% of the people who are in private companies are forfeiting their jobs. Where the people of the company are like this, waiters/ waitresses/ bellboys will forfeit their jobs soon. There is no necessity to talk about those whose family status is middle class and lower class. If this proceeds, they will have to confront several tough circumstances.  Cry
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone accidentally sent or received BTC to and from another address? on: October 06, 2020, 04:50:02 PM
I haven't used to it. Sending/receiving Bitcoin to a wrong account hasn't happened. If there exists an address upon our mistyping of the address, it might reach the particular location. The chance for the existence of the mistyped address is very low.
That didn't happen to me either. I hope it doesn't happen by mistake Sad
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: October 06, 2020, 11:17:25 AM
I think names are not an element of quality assurance in all cases. A good name impresses people. But its quality has to be ensured by its effectiveness.

In some cases name can be an important element to get investment. Because you can't use technical name for social activities. You need to use social things in social activities. Like that you must use relevant name and that will attract investor to get investment for fullfil the project.

Over all, name is nothing just a word, but some cases it depends.
371  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetMoose.com - Betting Exchange | Prediction Market | Real World Events | P2P on: October 06, 2020, 03:08:00 AM
How do I get in contact with someone at BetMoose? I submitted a query through the support form and an email to support@betmoose.com, but I haven't received any correspondence back. Furthermore, PMs to BetMoose on here are not allowed. My email concerned an anonymous bet that I won and was supposedly settled on Oct. 2, but which has not been paid out to my depositing address.

I was about to advise you to contact them in their other social media accounts, but it seems all are dead including Twitter and Facebook. And this thread is also not that active.

The last time BetMoose was online was like a week ago but haven't replied since May 29, 2019. If it is not settled on the next coming days, then probably good to open a Scam Accusations against them.
Agreed with @kemarit. Some people are crazy by seeing lucrative advertisement on social media or posting by shitty people and involved in any project without knowing properly. This is about to end 2020 and be smart bro. There are so many betting sites that will difficult to count and you are doing bet on inactive site.
372  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet shutdowns by governments are bad for corporate marketing on: October 05, 2020, 05:29:12 PM
Not only to the corporate marketing, the entire network gets disturbed. Right now from small scale business to the corporate network each and everything is interconnected with the internet. Even small stores now have got their own QR code through which payments in digital form is possible. These days every form of education is happening through online classes. Upon the same shutdowns affect not only the corporate marketing, but has impact over everything.
I simply agree with you. Corporate marketing is not just about everything that is currently involved with the internet. So the effect will be felt everywhere  Smiley

This is 2020 and government should do his duty and people will do their. People has the right to discuss about government work or activities in publicly with mannar. Then the democracy will be ensured in general level. Otherwise, autocracy will continue and mostly people will suffer.

375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: September 30, 2020, 06:13:58 PM
Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin today underwent a hot wallet hack, hacker managed to bring in about 157 million dollars, but luckily kucoin cold wallet is safe and all hacked funds will be completely replaced by kucoin.

Once again, cybersecurity is MANDATORY in the current crypto environment

Hacker wallet https://etherscan.io/address/0xeb31973e0febf3e3d7058234a5ebbae1ab4b8c23

Yes true and it's not surprising to me. Because I have become habituated to see such things from the last few years. It's very shocking news for the investor and traders for getting hacked their assets from an exchange, on the other hand, it is a matter of joy that Kucoin announced that the affected  fund will be covered completely.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Scams and Government on: September 30, 2020, 06:11:52 PM
-snip-
A lot of scammers are entering cryptocurrency because they know how decentralized cryptocurrency is and they can easily get out or disappear like a bubble after they are done scamming people and start again on something new.
and their target is beginners who are new to and into cryptocurrency with a large enough capital. Cryptocurrency scammers feel safer because there are no government rules regarding fraud investigations that exist in cryptocurrency and the regulations provided are also unclear, so scammers will be freer to make many fraudulent projects to get a lot of profit.
Even today, they use many methods, especially on the DEFI platform, which is a new platform and is currently hype in cryptocurrency.
You are right. They target the new ones as well as adopt many fancy alleys. They are doing injustice anyway as there are no restraints and legislation here. We have to be very sensible or we can get caught up in them too.
377  Other / Meta / Re: Application to be a Merit source for Bangladesh Thread on: September 30, 2020, 05:56:00 PM
Quote from: PN7
2 - Many of those who you cited seem to make fairly good posts, but they all seem to have fairly low amounts of merit. This could be an indication that some of the local threads that are not large enough for detected subs are lacking source merit.
Yeah true. We have very few people who share merit in our local, the reason is they don't have merit to share. For example, I have zero merits at the moment.
Having sufficient source merit in local communities should be important. Without sufficient source merit, members will not rank up, which may lead people to not be as engaged, and not as active in their bitcointalk communities.

It is not a big deal if some people receive a little bit of merit they should not receive, but it is a problem if people are not receiving the merit they deserve. If people receive merit erroneously, others will see their poor quality posts and will still be subject to bans if they violate the rules, but OTOH, if someone does not receive merit, they may become frustrated about not ranking up and not be as active as they may otherwise be.
Exactly the truth has been spoken and those are the reflection of my thoughts also. By the way, the scenario that you explained was made me frustrated almost two years ago. There were some reasons though. It was also one of them. But recently, I have got some merits which I deserved I believe. It's very inspiring for me to do better for the next or coming near future. To grow the community, the local thread can help a lot of community-based people in a different area and it will also be helpful for the newcomers too to know well.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: September 30, 2020, 04:59:03 PM
I have lots of coins or tokens in my Eth wallet from the last 2017 to now. I am not holding actually. Some of those are really useless because of their potential. Some tokens don't have any utility now. I can not buy those shitty coins or tokens so that I am holding those in my wallet. Some token's price is as less as it can't afford the exchange fee also. That's why I am not going to tell the tokens name because I have many.
379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: September 30, 2020, 04:54:56 PM
So there are many comments you have got already. In my opinion with two years of experience, I can say this is not enough for a day trading because profit will hardly be seen from this small amount. Like you will get 3-5% profit by investing $100, the equivalent amount of max 5% is 5$. I think it is not enough for you. If you consider that amount, then you can go for it. Otherwise, you need more money to start with.
380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best trading sites? on: September 30, 2020, 04:49:53 PM
Hello!

where do you trade your cryptocurrencies? do you have any tips for a beginner on how to start?
At the very beginning of my trading, I started my trade journey with Bittrex exchange. Then I moved to many exchanges. Now I am very much pleasure to use Binance as my primary trading exchange that I can suggest for you to start with a good amount. Because you will be amazed to see it's high volume. There are many exchanges too but this one will be best.
