441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do or Die for ETH on: August 15, 2019, 09:12:33 AM
IEO trend is another threat for ETH and now Eth is going down day by day.
IEO is only one tiny threat to ETH, the ETH design itself and the bad decisions that the developer has made over the past couple of years have been the biggest threats. decisions such as premining it, having unlimited supply, not having immutability by rolling back a lot of blocks to reverse transactions, lots of bugs and exploits, lack of scaling, high fees,...

Quote
Ethereum hasn’t been all too well as of late.
ethereum hasn't been well for a very long time but people haven't been noticing it because they were pumping it for some time and it was profitable for them in that period. but now that pumps have stopped for about 1.5 years, people are starting to see the issues.

Quote
Ethereum has been doing so poorly that its share of the cryptocurrency market recently collapsed under 8%. In fact, as of the time of Stop and Decrypt’s tweet seen below, dominance for the second largest crypto asset sat at 7.84%, the lowest it has been in some two years.
dominance doesn't matter at all because it is based on supply and ETH has 72 million coins premined in centralized wallets.
the only thing that matters is the fact that ETH has gone down consistantly for the past 1.5 years from  0.16BTC to 0.017BTC which is 90% drop! and it is still falling.
Your points are almost same as my thinking. Really IEO is a big threat for ETH now a days and it is still falling down. Who knows it will pump again like 2017  Grin

By the way, the unlimited supply is the another reason which you pointed out.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance's IEO vs Huobi's IEO : Which is better? on: August 15, 2019, 08:30:27 AM
Hi there.
In my opinion, I like Huobi's IEO than Binance's IEO. Right, Binance IEO require the smaller days of holding, but the price of BNB is dumping everyday. But HT isnt, it's price increase everyday, and hard to dump (except BTC dump, all alts will dump). And the Huobi's IEO help us better profit too. From x4-x10 until now, but with Binance's IEO, some IEO is having x0.5-x2 now.

1. Price drop of bnb token doesnt determine the outcome of IEO projects from binance exchanges
2. This year so far bnb token is one of the very few altcoins that surged up in value why the complains?
3. Its useless comparing IEO ROI of Huobi to binance because we have past IEOs on binance that did more than x4 to x10

What we should focus on is how good the IEO projects are, either its from huobi or binance doesnt matter to me,what the project offers is my top priority .
I am also agree with your point 1 which contains the price of BNB doesn't determine the projects outcome.

Everything in Binance is popular rather than other exchanges and it creates a hype in crypto currency. I think it's indeed for a project for their own marketing. Obviously their have some policy how to buy or how to join in IEO, it can't determine the projects outcome.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do or Die for ETH on: August 15, 2019, 08:24:22 AM
I have some Eth and Everytime I do check for any update and research about ETH. IEO trend is another threat for ETH and now Eth is going down day by day.

Ethereum hasn’t been all too well as of late. If you’ve perused the pertinent articles on this outlet, we’re sure you know that.

For those unaware, here’s a brief recap. Every since early-2018, Ethereum and its ilk have been dramatically underperforming Bitcoin. In fact, since the top of altcoin mania in 2018, Bitcoin dominance has doubled, moving from 32% to 69%. The performance (or lack thereof) of Ethereum specifically seems to stem from the lack of buying pressure from ICO participants, as projects are moving away from this form of fundraising to avoid regulatory scrutiny.

Ethereum has been doing so poorly that its share of the cryptocurrency market recently collapsed under 8%. In fact, as of the time of Stop and Decrypt’s tweet seen below, dominance for the second largest crypto asset sat at 7.84%, the lowest it has been in some two years.

444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: August 14, 2019, 02:12:43 PM
As information from CZ: 1.2 billion dollars BNB is transferred in 1 second, which takes less than 2 cents

On June 26, about $ 1.2 billion Binance Coin (BNB) was transferred in 1.1 seconds, for a fee of only $ 0.015 on Binance Chain, disclosures of this data were published on WhaleAlert , a platform that tracks important transactions. The exact amount of BNB transferred is 32,888,888. As a Twitter user pointed out, 8 is a number unlike anyone in Chinese arithmetic, quoting Wikipedia: "Number 8 is considered a good number that even some 8s are considered is very lucky ".

With such successes do you think BNB will become the All coin king?
We can't say it surely but there is nothing impossible in the crypto currency world. So it is possible if BNB developer team want to creat its own blockchain ecosystem for their own chain like ERC20 then if it is faster than this,it will definitely be the king.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO increasing rapidly on: August 14, 2019, 02:08:18 PM
I will go for quality over quantity.

The increase of ICO does not mean success when everyone knows that only 5% or even less are the legit projects, and with these small percentage of legit project, they even still struggle to grow due to the current market situation where people trust BTC than the altcoins.

What I know is that legit projects are already using IEO to raise funds, ICO is already an obsolete way of crowd funding.
Yes, after 2017 the ICO became rapidly increase with fake projects and there have only a few legit projects only which had very difficult to identify. Now IEO is very popular to us and trusted as well
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO increasing rapidly on: August 14, 2019, 01:58:50 PM
I think ICO started to increase day after day and people started to trust it,The future will goes to ICO, maybe because the low price or the new features which it provides.
You are worng at all in this market. ICO decreased rapidly after 2017 and the new thread came in crypto called IEO (Initial Exchange Offering). Now a days IEO is running successfully in the market and people are now satisfied enough with it.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber Crimes and Crypto on: August 13, 2019, 04:05:57 PM
Cyber Criminals Netted $4.3B From Crypto-Related Crime in 2019

All these Criminal Acts is giving Crypto a bad name , i think there should be more measures and controls to be put in place in other to curb such occurence.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/cyber-criminals-netted-43b-from-crypto-related-crime-in-2019-study
It is really shocking news but true and almost we have nothing to do in this decentralized ecosystem. Crypto currency is almost decentralized and it is known to all
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops safe? on: August 13, 2019, 04:00:31 PM
The way they usually work is they give you some string and you sign it to prove you own the address.

Could a malicious air drop make a transaction sending all your BTC to them, and then you sign it, and then they broadcast it to the network?
Or is signing a message different than signing a transaction?
Once upon a time, I believed to do airdrop campaign. Now a days I can't believe in this because of fake airdrops. There are so many fake projects and airdrops which are done by fake people. They just do it for their own purposes and to do publicity their social media accounts, that's only. So it can be said now that airdrops are not safe at all
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether holdings of ICO projects gradually falling on: August 11, 2019, 03:09:29 PM
IEO on popular exchanges get very hype and more reliable, trusted rather than others.
I should market that this is the main factor this is why the price of ethereum is falling gradually. So many icos have been sold their ether but there was on a lot of platforms are using ethereum again to raise the funds. I can say that the hype of IEO is the factor who has already destroyed ethereum slowly.
It looks like the movement from ICO to IEO already happened by mass crypto buyers.
Exactly, this is the main reason why ETH is getting low in the market for a long time and there's no huge pump which can be mentioned. Market is moving ICO to IEO. It is now happening
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether holdings of ICO projects gradually falling on: August 11, 2019, 12:50:07 PM
Well said. ICO is very much associated with scam but there are very low chance to do scam in IEO. Actually, if any project wants to do IEO as their tokensale then they will be needed to pay exchange for hosting them. But scammers will not give money to anyone from their pockets.

That's why, IEO is trusted, reliable, faster and easier for investor through exchange.
Only IEO from popular exchange, there are so many newly created exchanges trying their fortune to starts an ICO with an obvious intention for the instant money.
an IEO from popular exchange might be reliable, legit and so on but if you found an IEO from a not really well known exchange that could turns out to be something phishy because if the IEO they created turns out to be a scam they have nothing to lose. just be careful.
Yes, IEO on popular exchanges get very hype and more reliable, trusted rather than others. There are so many newly created exchanges those also provide IEO but less trusted to the investor.
451  Economy / Exchanges / Market data is provided by the HitBTC exchange! on: August 07, 2019, 02:39:31 AM
The trade war between China and the United States intensified as China allowed its currency, the yuan, to fall to its lowest level since 2008. This is seen as a retaliatory move by China on the latest tariff hikes by the U.S. If the nations enter into a currency war, it will only strengthen the case for cryptocurrencies and investors are likely to flock to digital assets to protect their investments. Unlike the previous crypto bull market that had risen on hope and future prospects of cryptocurrencies, the current bull phase is being buoyed by strong fundamentals.

Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz said that macroeconomic conditions and geopolitical unrest have given “real legs” to Bitcoin’s current rally. Anthony Pompliano of Morgan Creek Digital Assets said that Bitcoin is responding appropriately to global instability. Max Keiser, host of the RT program Keiser Report, expects the momentum in Bitcoin to carry it to $15,000 this week alone.

The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has risen to $311 billion and Bitcoin’s dominance has hit 67.8%. This shows that Bitcoin is leading from the front. How far can this rally continue and which altcoins are likely to participate in the rally? Let’s find out.

May be it's a regular article but it is a good analysis to trade now or future with proof. Just follow the link to know more about it,

452  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: August 07, 2019, 02:34:19 AM
Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going  to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Full report: https://ciphertrace.com/articles/q1-2019-cryptocurrency-anti-money-laundering-report/
Why not? Crypto currency is widely accepted to the people for doing invest, making more profit and trading by doing analysis etc. I think people all over the world almost know about it and there some people connected and some aren't.

If any project do scam after their tokensale and already invested a huge amount of money by investor then the whole money or investment will go in vain. A project isn't for a country only, it has its own roadmap to promote their project widely.

Though scammers are everywhere. We need to keep an eye on the project deeply where you think to invest.

Lol, we're already in the halfway of 2019 and its pretty obvious by now the the whole business model have gradually shift to IEO. Of course there will be ICO being born every minute, but I"m not sure if investors are still willing to fund any project by now because IEO is taking over. Most of the ICO project have liquidated their ETH in mid 2018, causing a dramatic fall of the price. So I guess the OP's research is too late.  Grin
Yes, we agreed. That now all projects will carry out IEO in many exchanges. But you are wrong, there are still investors who are interested in investing through ICO. Although now IEO has experienced many changes, ICO is still not dead and is still in great demand.

There are still investing but this isn't very visible right now that people lose interest to the project when it says ICO on their website. I'm very skeptic to participate in the campaign when I see they are doing ICO instead of IEO. ICO is very much associated with scam and investors already learned all these concealing they've made in the past.

Any research can be a good research after connecting dots from previous research. Obviously it is too late now but a research will be held after the incident already done or continuing. IEO is a new trend and it is successfully doing well and people enjoyed it too much rather than ICO.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether holdings of ICO projects gradually falling on: August 06, 2019, 04:32:07 PM
Ethereum will get back to top once devs will release ETH 2.0 update. Right now, ETH is overcoming very hard times and its price is far behind its real value. Once BTC dominance will be pushed down, ETH should be one of the first coins that will explode.
The ethereum 2.0 will only give a big change to the blockchain and consensus model but it looks like the smartcontract model will not be changed and with the possibility of ethereum holders to get ethereum as emission from the blockchain and this will create a stable ecosystem caused by the miners and the holders will in the same level and there is no a lot of differences. But this will not give a huge increase in the price of ether
I think after the next 4 years if they able to fulfill their roadmap which they announced some days ago then it may create e new history in crypto currency as the name of ETH. Obviously in that time those will be benefited who already started to hodl ETH for this time period.

However, if they don't work their ERC20 based smart contract then it will be more declined. Already Gochain and other contract doing well and give faster transaction as well.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ether holdings of ICO projects gradually falling on: August 05, 2019, 05:36:56 PM
Ether (ETH) holdings of projects that raised funds via initial coin offerings or ICOs have been steadily declining, according to research from The Block.

The current market also indicates it and now the new trend IEO  or Initial Exchange Offering is doing well through a good platform and people enjoyed it.

The research from The Block cleared it by giving some proposition with relate the market. To know the rest just follow the link below,

Ethereum ETH celebrated its 4 years some days ago, no one believed the project would have achieved what it has achieved within these four year, as at Oct 2015, the coin all time low was $0.420897 USD and now the current market price is $235.03 USD. what do you think the next four years would look like? i see the coin going stronger and bigger, what do you think?
Yes you are right. Ethereum already celebrated it's 4th year's of celebration. No one can predict surely the exact thing which will be happened next but by a real prediction we can get an idea which ought to be. Eth has it's strong position now and it's faster transaction will help you in future to keep it up it's position.

The CEO already made an announcement which contains to look Eth after 4 years and if it will able to fulfill it's development roadmap then to keep it's position will be easy for it.

Even CNN know the truth by categorize this news/article into opinion section

Looks like he forget that "his" BSV is forked from BCH which based on BTC which is "corrupted" according to him, which means BSV is also being used to promote fraud and Ponzis Tongue
Yes, you are right. They should be needed to categorize it in opinion section. Otherwise, individual's opinion will work as hurt for someone.

Don't and never listen to any words came from his mouth, that's him, he will do any trash-talking against his enemies.

However, Wright says the entire 1.1 million in bitcoin “will be returned” to him on January 1, 2020. In his latest blog post, Wright says that in 2020, he'll gain access to his bitcoin holdings and will pay a massive tax bill.
January will come and yet another excuse from his lies.

Okay then let's see what will happen in January. Hopefully you are truly said. But still there has some confusion. But the guy really said much which will not be a relevant with this statement. Though anyone can give his or her opinion but it will work like a threatened for someone
