@BayAreaCoins did you ever have the time to take a look at the potential of adding curecoin to the exchange?

The only other non KYC exchange that is was listed at is shutting down. I know you and @The Pharmacist had discussed it in the beginning of 2021 but I never saw anything come of it in terms of yes / no / when we get to it.

Hey Dave,

I'll bring it up with Xploited (my partner, Scott) and see if we can help out.

I'm just not paying him well enough yet to ask him to do much, but I will mention it and all the jazz.

I'll get back with you ASAP.

Do you have a Github?

Respectfully,

BAC

Edit:  Going to try to sync it today and add it if there are no issues.  Thanks for reminding me.

I'm not a member of the team just someone who uses spare CPU / GPU time to fold. I figure it's for a good cause.
As far as I know the main git is at: https://github.com/cygnusxi/CurecoinSource but it looks like you already found it since you a syncing. :-)
The team is somewhat active on Facebook and twitter.

Thanks,
-Dave

Yes sir, that is the same Github that I thought as well.

I'll check with X tomorrow and this week to see how she went.

Then I'll keep you posted.

I hope you and your family had a good Thanksgiving!

Respectfully,

Steven Steiner

Curecoin listed on XChange:  https://freebitcoins.com/xchange/market/Curecoin

In the next few days CURE will be listed on our faucet + added to the homepage/footers.

Thank you!

Live:  https://freebitcoins.com/xchange/market/Curecoin

No KYC.  Bitcoin-based altcoin exchange.  Fees are 0.2% flat.  Affiliate system pay 50% of exchange fees + 100% on all faucet hits (self affiliating is allowed, only 1 account though)

I've tested deposits and withdrawals, both are super smooth.

3 confirmations required

2 CURE fee to withdrawal

Tomorrow we will add CURE to our Faucet and then do the final touch-ups (like adding CURE to the footer and front page).
367  Economy / Goods / Re: United States Items Bought and Shipped to You on: December 05, 2021, 08:07:41 PM
- Guns and ammo

This is called "strawman purchase" and the USA doesn't dig that.

I would not recommend doing that too or with the USA... Guns are cool, but you can't do it like that (I don't believe).

Good luck and have fun!

Yeah I understand there are a lot of legalities with some purchases with this service. I’m checking on the legal status of all the products I ship out to make sure everything is fully legal and I’m fully insured in case anything were to occur during the trade process or after. If any legalities arise with any products where there is a gray area or it could be illegal or I could be liable for sending the product I will take note of it and remove it from this list.

As far as some products actually being available in other countries that you can purchase in the US, there is a lot of cool and unique stuff out there that the only reason it’s not available in a region or area is because of supply and demand. As far as shipping out items that could lead to legal troubles I want to avoid that all together. I will check back on all the items and products I am offering to ship out and update the OP accordingly.

As far as anything on the list I provided being illegal to send out to other countries or regions outside of the US, there is nothing on there that’s banned or not allowed. There are a lot of legalities though with some of the products listed and I will make sure I’m not breaking any laws in the sending of goods to people with this service.

Good!  I hope it works out well for you.
368  Economy / Goods / Re: Come in and Trade Ammo or Talk about Guns! on: December 05, 2021, 03:46:30 PM
Is it legal to sell guns on bitcointalk?

Yes it is legal.

But it could be done in an illegal way.

Also is it legal to sell guns as a business, without a license, anywhere on the internet or offline?

I saw your thread about redirecting orders to people that couldn't order stuff for a 5% fee.

I don't think I would offer that service if I were you for guns.  It sounds like a "straw purchase" maybe and that's not good in the USA.

What’s the most powerful handgun around at the moment as well?

Eh, I'll take effective over powerful.  Powerful suck to shoot and effective is fun.

I like pistols that take a .45 acp.

XRP is a security and a scam.  It's great the SEC is going after them for targeting Americans.

I don't understand why people are so confused.

XRP is NOT the same as Bitcoin... Not by a long shot.

Curecoin successfully synced.

We hopefully will have it live Sunday or Monday I'd guess.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: December 01, 2021, 07:48:00 PM
You are welcome to update it.  https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams
Looks like it is dead. There are 3 open PRs, older than 3 years:
https://github.com/nochowderforyou/clams/pulls
and last commit is from 2017. Granted, one of the PR ("Update validation.cpp") probably results in a syntax error for the compiler, but the other 2 look fine and should be merged.

I passed this link to Xploited (the creator of clam and partner at FreeBitcoins.com).

Still the same open pull requests after a month. And looks like some big whale cashed out in November. So sorry to say this, but I guess now it is really dead. Liquidity for the only remaining exchange is 1 (the lowest possible is 0, goes up to 1000), which means you can't even trade it anymore:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/clams/

It appears to me that Poloniex has been dumping their CLAMS... sucks, but we will make it through it I strongly believe.

I've been slowly buying CLAMS for years now... still do, yolo. Tongue

And sorry about the "lot pricing" on the CLAM exchange, I hate that shit too, but it works.  It's really complicated to make a trade between two people on an automated system, believe it or not.

375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: November 30, 2021, 11:48:36 PM

The exchange could provide liquidity and make this trading pair more attractive, either with an automated system or manually (let someone trade market maker style with the exchange's money). Otherwise it will be stuck with the chicken and egg problem of no liquidity, no traders, no liquidity.

We have chickens and eggs by having a website that works IMO.  What we need is more people willing to sell Namecoin for any price and see if we can connect them to a buyer.

Offer the Namecoin for sale on our exchange using a limit order for 5-10% more than any other exchange out there... see what happens!  If you get sick of waiting, withdrawal your coins.  (The exchange earns a little off each withdrawal normally, so we like to see you take your coins back.)  We also have an API, so you could set your %'s against other exchanges too!

The website works really well.  Deposits count confirmations correctly and withdrawals are basically instant.  I think having a website that actually works well is the best marketing a Cryptocurrency exchange can do.

Does anyone have a list of exchanges this coin is listed on currently? Just found an old wallet.dat and trying to download the QT. Any idea what is the size of the curecoin blockchain? I dont want to waste too much time if its not worth the effort! Smiley

FreeBitcoins.com is working on adding Curecoin to our altcoin exchange.

Does anyone have a current list of peers?

Has anyone managed to talk to the dev team? They clearly still post updates and latest release was just a couple months ago but outside of what they post on the site sometimes they seem rather quiet about the project.

Would be nice if they could address why NMC is not being carried on any major exchanges. If we can get it listed on one of the non-chicom trading sites I suspect we'd witness a major spike in market cap. Maybe they don't want this yet but the project's over 10 years old no?

Lots of "major exchanges" are fraudsters.

They fake volume and want huge listing fees.

Coins are better off building themselves and getting naturally added to exchanges that aren't scum bags.  Look how long it took Binance to list Dogecoin.... lol puke.

I don't think Dogecoin needed Binance either.  Exchanges are a nice lazy way to trade with people all over the world, but they really aren't "needed".

That being said, please come checkout my Namecoin exchange.  Our deposits count confirmations correctly and the withdrawals are all pretty much instantly processed on the blockchain.

Our liquidity is low right now, but that is just because we need users willing to say "I want to buy Namecoin at X price" or "I want to sell Namecoin at X price".  Having an exchange with liquidity is a wonderful way to sell a coin to other exchanges as well!
