The next surprise is likely to be a bit controversial, there have been rumors Pep Guardiola will leave the club after successfully bring Manchester City to the top of the Premier League and ucl, yes although I hope that never happens. But Pep's past at Barcelona became a reference where he left Barca when the team was experience great success because it win various competitions.

I have also read something like that about Guardiola thinking about leaving City in upcoming years but honestly I don't believe in it. Guardiola has a great team and top class facilities that any manager wish for and he has everything there. I don't think of any reason other than becoming of sick of winning but I feel that since they have won their first CL, Guardiola will push for more and I feel he will stay at City for more years. People like Guardiola go on in search for challenges and I don't think there is much of challenges left to explore after LaLiga, Bundesliga and PL now.

Looks like Guendongan is still in the negotiation stage, because it is rumored that he will leave City, Pep is still taking a more approach to maintaining Guendong, however he is a player who made a big contribution to the glory of Manchester City last season.

Seems like you are shooting blanks here  Tongue . Gundogan has already left City to join Barcelona [1] and it has been quite some time now since he was unveiled as new Barca player. Not sure how you think it's still in negotiation stage.

Maybe it is true that Mahrez could leave the city, because he receives an offer from Saudi Arabia,[...]

Mahrez also has left City to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli today [2].

City has so far signed Kovacic and Gvardiol and I think there would be more to come as departure of Mahrez was bit unexpected. It's not a big worry for City as they have lot of players and dense squad so even without a replacement they can manage I think.

Let's take it as simple as possible:
 - Mbappe refused to extend his contract and will leave PSG next year for free.
 - PSG don't want to lose one of their best player and in case it is the case then not a double loss = him in person + money related to his exit.
 - Real Madrid is not in rush and could wait for another year to get Mbappe for free.
=> Losers = PSG only
=> Winners = Mbappe and Real Madrid

You are right^^ and that does seems like PSG losing a lot here. PSG should have sold Mbappe when Madrid offered around 180m Euro but they convinced him somehow for contract extension. Now Madrid knows the advantage they have right now but I think another club joining the race might push Madrid to go serious with bids for Mbappe. Since most of the big clubs already have a good striker, I think Madrid is the only one there at the moment.

I expect a last day deal or even last hour deal between these 3 parties for half the initial money asked by PSG. There is another possibility, Mbappe to move to Real Madrid in the winter transfer window for something like €50m..

What if PSG doesn't receives an offer by the winter transfer window end? They have to let it ride as it is then and have to let Mbappe leave for free. 50m Euro is a lot less for a player with that potential. I would say at least 100m Euro or free.

Lionel Messi's return to Barcelona is a deal I never wanted materialize and I'm glad it didn't working, Barcelona would have taken step backwards if Lionel Messi had return to Barcelona because the team would have returned to Messi reliance yet again and it would have been a problem whenever he's retiring or quitting football generally.

And Barcelona-Messi didn't work out not because of FFP regulations, Lionel Messi was a free agent and so there wouldn't have been any signing fee, but his wages is not something Barcelona can afford according to La Liga rules, so it would have been impossible for Barcelona to register him in accordance to La Liga restrictions and rules.

I think Barca were keeping everything in check and lot of old players were making the move and some of them taking a deep salary cut to make space for Messi. Barca were also keeping things in check with LaLiga and LaLiga did give them green light with the move and which is why meeting between club representatives and Jorge Messi happened in June. But in the end, Messi made the decision to not to move to Barca and in his video he did explained that he don't want to be the reason and even if he moves to the club it will be hard for him to leave the club later on if thing goes again to same situation. I would say his wages and his moves wasn't much of an issue from Barca's end as they were carefully checking everything but it was Messi who made the decision.

There were lot of mixed expressions about Messi to Barca potential move but in the end it didn't happened is what happened. I personally wanted to see him in Barca back again but I feel Messi also made the right decision.

Why do you think United will get better? I am a United fan myself, but I think it will be difficult even to keep the third place, and even more difficult to climb higher. Buying Mount is good, buying Onana is just a replacement for De Gea. I don't see any major enhancements. If United got Kane or Osimhen, you could say that they are getting stronger, but in my opinion now +- the same level.

I see you want United to sign a striker. Kane is interested in move to Bayern and highly doubt Spurs are gonna let him go to their rival and as for Osimhen he is not gonna move this season so seems like it is hard for United to sign any striker as you mentioned. But they actually are interested in Rasmus Højlund (wonderkid from Atlanta) [1], so what do you think about this? Asking price around 65~70m Euro and talks are very advanced right now with personal terms agreed with player and United trying to find a proper fee to sign him.

The deed has already been done. Erik Ten Hag has already made the decision to appoint a new captain for the coming season since Harry Maguire has not been living up to expectations and standards befitting as the captain.

It's a good decision and in a team like United, someone with strong figure needs to lead the team. Personally, I haven't seen Maguire with such leadership skills. United needs a better captain and I think it was a very good decision. Yeah, it must be frustrating for Maguire but he also should understand the challenges in such reputed team and should have done better with his leadership skills when he was the captain.

From one aspect I think it is not fair to pass such judgement and on another view I think it is for the betterment of the squad as he is suppose to lead by example.

Seems like you are feeling sorry for Maguire but in a team with so many top players, it is natural that there will be competition from other players for the captain armband. Maguire lost it because he didn't had the best leadership skills that's it. ten Haag is making hard decisions and to be honest it is about time to make such harsh changes otherwise things will be same year after year.

A surprise signing from Manchester United today as they sign Leicester centre-back Jonny Evans on a short term [1]. Decent signing from United as I think he will probably will have more of a role of a backup to keep things tied up if their key centre backs get injured during crucial gameweeks. As for Evans, he is experienced and a great opportunity to move to one of the big teams in PL.

4. Leeds (away; want to see Leeds atmosphere)

Totenham shall decrease his price. It doesn't make sense an old striker like him to still have €100 millions release clause which was very crazy. Kane will always stuck in totenham. No reason for him to stay in totenham for another year. [...]

He is going to make into 30 soon but I don't think at all that Spurs should lower the price tag for Kane. Kane is Spurs crucial player and give them at least 20 goals per season and also does great assists. He is their player that they heavily rely on. Also he is #2 in all time PL highest goalscorers list behind legend Alan Shearer [1] . Last season he scored 30 goals out of 70 club goals in PL so you see how important he is to the squad.

So I think 100m Euro price is about right if you ask me. You are just seeing things from Bayern's perspective here. My take is take a bit less than 100m Euro like around 90m Euro and make this deal happen. It will be good for both clubs.

I don't understand why Manchester City didn't retain their champion roster. I think they are making mistakes. It would be a great loss for the team if they send Silva. City is a big club, yes I accept that and they have the financial means to get the player they want, but they already have a champion squad and why are they risking it? I hope they don't make mistakes. A club like City may regret letting their big players go.

They do try to convince players who wants a change but they don't push much. They always keep the doors open to them and are also respectful towards the decision the player makes in the end. Secondly, I haven't seen City allowing a move and then regretting later on. They have world class coaches, facilities and all so it's a good place where a player can develop and if a player moves out they always try to look for strong alternatives and then develop him to become the next star of the team. It is a cycle and going through it, City doesn't faces much issues.

From these transfer rumors, I understand that City management did not do enough to retain the players. They offered Gundogan 1 year. This contract was too short for Gündoğan and he lost his commitment to the team. I think City could lose more players if they don't pay attention to the contract clauses.

I don't think contract length was the issue here. Most of the times before deciding the tenure lot of discussions is made with the player and his agents to get hold of things and tenure they want in contract extension. Also usually the players who are getting old rather prefers to sign a small term contract extension rather than a long term one. It's rare to find someone who is old and commits his last days to the current club.

I don't see on earth, why Manchester city will want to lose Bernardo Silva, especially now that Gundogan has left the club to another club, Bernando Silva is currently one of the best midfielders in the world, and I know thats why Barca will want him to play alongside Gundogan who they just signed from this same Manchester city.Barcelona knows how good the pair can be together, and considering the fact that they will be wanting to fight for the Champions league trophy next season, they really need quality players who can transform a club into tittle contenders. We will all wait to see if Manchester city will allow Bernando Silva to move to Barcelona or they will keep him at the club for next season.

There are reports of Kyle Walker set to leave, Silva is another name which was being reported as in list of some clubs as transfer targets. Over the years, City have bought and developed lot of players. Now that some players wants to leave, I think City do have a talk with them but if they are adamant then City also allow their requests. With Gundo, they did want to continue and had given an year contract extension but Gundogan wanted a different challenge and made a move to Barca. I feel the reason why don't get overboard with trying to stop players from leaving is that somehow they feel that even if the players leave, they will find a good alternative in the market. With Silva, it will also be the same if he leaves.

In the case of Vlahovic being sold to PSG, Juventus is ready to offer 35/40 to Chelsea for Lukaku.

A 4 years contract is ready for him

What if Vlahovic doesn't gets sold to PSG? I am much more excited to see what will happen with Lukaku. Inter are not interested in Lukaku after it was revealed that Lukaku has been in contact with Juventus over potential move. Right now for Lukaku it seems everything lies on Vlahovic deal as if it doesn't happens then he will be back at Chelsea where he seems to be very unsettled.

Pavard was able playing in multiple role. I see no problem for him to be a replacement for kyle walker. [....] Pavard gonna be next best defender for manchester city. [...]

Pavard is a good player and I think it is a great target to replace Walker. Personally, I would still place Walker way ahead of Pavard because Walker is great at catching wingers with his speed. I would say Pavard as a "best alternative" since Walker move to Bayern was unanticipated. Recently, I have seen that Guardiola don't try to stop the player and he respects whatever decision they make so Walker move should be a done deal as it is matter of fee now between the clubs. Due to this, City might find easy going for Pavard deal as well.

I am not going to say if Pavard would be the best defender but he is joining a very good and consistent team so naturally he will do great at City.

Good signing, bit expensive for a defensive midfielder but he will improve them.

Yeah it was a stiff competition so can understand the price but we got a great signing for ourselves here. I was actually glad that City didn't went overboard after their first bid and left the race otherwise we would have been paying around 120m Euro at least.

Arteta has spent a lot of money now in recent years. He has no excuse if he ends up empty handed again.

True, I totally agree but so far has Arteta has really had a wobble yet. Yeah we choked on some good opportunities but I feel that was really a "far" target but we still managed to come close to that. What you said is a bitter truth but I feel like Arsenal board are gonna be patient around Arteta. I sense a trust building between Edu,Arteta and the board.

To all those who had doubts about Rice to Arsenal deal after Arsenal delaying the announcement, here is confirmation from Fabrizio Romano on twitter reporting to announcement to happen today. It was a done deal since a week and maybe they did a bit of delay due to some formalities but there was no backing away or other clubs chiming in to hijack the deal. A star signing 🌟 for Arsenal.

but whether that will be enough in the end to stand in front of Bayern München ? i think...no  Wink [...]

One signing is never enough for a club to set things differently for next season. Even if it does then it will be likely because of those top clubs performing poorly or becoming a bit inconsistent in certain part of the season. Bayern Munich were inconsistent in last season so if Bayern again performs in the same way and Leipzig puts up a better performance than last season then I think they can make it at the top but that is way too hard especially when there is Dortmund also in title contender's list.

[...] But I didn't get much news about Liverpool's transfer. I think Liverpool have to work hard for this season.

I think you haven't got the transfer updates of Liverpool properly. Liverpool has signed Mac Allister (35m Euro) and Dominik Szoboszlai (70m Euro) as in midfield and attacking midfield/winger department. As for departures, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are about to make move to Saudi clubs. If you ask for my review, then I think Liverpool are making some additions into the areas where they lack but I feel they are gonna make some few more signings. They are checking the players which will be right for them as it seems and are making moves very carefully.

As for expectations, I also don't have very high expectations but I would say they will do better than the last season. It's tough to say when teams are undergoing changes and despite making some huge transfers doesn't guarantees a club success as their fans are expecting. I would say Liverpool are undergoing a transition a bit late due to which we are seeing a dip in their performance but I feel like in this season or the next , they will be back on track.
