361  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Nearly burned down my home due to mining equipment failure :( on: March 16, 2014, 04:11:16 PM
That's why it's very important to use high quality a-brand PSU's and not let them run 24/7 at 80%+ load.

seasonic, corsair.... ect. i figured 2 7950s not being pushed would be fine on 750 watts. psu must have been a little older than i thought or had an issue. the 2 7970s and system was running on a 1000 watter.
362  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Nearly burned down my home due to mining equipment failure :( on: March 16, 2014, 03:58:56 PM
i was mining ltc on 2 7950s and 2 7970s and one night i charged my phone in the plug next to my bed instead of the pc and it was very warm..... went out the the rig and it was on the same circuit and that plug was very warm as well. sold 2 of the cards so far.... not worth it and i do not know much about the wiring other than it prolly hasnt been updated in a long long time. i watch over the little gear i have like a new born baby because i cant afford new anything if my place went up in smoke and jusrt for piece of mind.

another time something didnt seem right on that set up and it seemed i was maxing out the psu because the cards werent acting right... 5 min later i had a faint electrical smell, not burning just the real hot smell. ran out to the living room and touched the psus and one was soooo damn hot if i didnt check it it prolly would have started a fire that night.

ok, thats cool. if it works out for you and him thats cool then. if not my bid will be there just in case.

Deadbeats? So what if I'm a new member. You are only a junior member yourself. Does that make you a deadbeat. Everyone has to start somewhere

i think you missed my point. i said IF they turn out to be deadbeats, yes everyone has to start somewhere BUT if you understood the amount of fresh account scammers and trash that comes on here day to day you would also have my view point as well. i would not like to fight a bid and pay more than i have to because of some bogus account. junior member yes but i have given out alot of my personal info and links to all my forum accounts on pc websites, car clubs ect and have outstanding rep in those communities. i also have trust built up here, start a fresh ebay account with 0 feedback, list something right away and see how many take you seriously. its just my view point dont take it personal, to the OP GLWS and to the winning bidder happy hashing.

Ill do 2@.14 if the noobie bidders turn out to be deadbeats, I refuse to get into a bidding war with 2 people that have no trust or posts. Let alone the one account was made 10 min before he placed a bid.

369  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (WTB) Antminer U1 USB Sticks Paying 150% What They Will Make on: March 11, 2014, 03:46:26 PM
I have seven that are about 2 months old, I just bought a rpi and hub to use them on that instead of the pc. Pm me an offer on just the ants that will not make me worry about the money I spent on the rpi. Unless u also want the 10 port hub and rpi

371  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer U1 x3 and possibly hub. on: March 10, 2014, 12:25:21 PM
I hate how people say that's all anything is ever going to make... I in the past 2 1/2 months I started with 2 and worked my way up to 7 and they have made a little over .12
372  Economy / Computer hardware / (WTB) BFL Jally on: March 10, 2014, 12:50:32 AM
looking for a cheap bfl jally to just have and possibly mess around with. would also take/pay small fee/pay shipping on older tech to have as kind of a keepsake of the evolution. (usb asics as well)

not looking to make money on these. 3 months of u1's got me ~.15 and gpu mining alts got old fast for me, so i bought an ant s1 and prolly going to have some gpu mining gear up for sale very soon.

log into your router using 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1, have a look at all the devices on your network and see what the address of the unnamed device connected then type that into a new browser window and it should work. mine was 192.168.1.100 and it re-routed to 192.168.1.99 but it didnt work when i typed 192.168.1.99

the unit is probably fine and you just need to figure out the address of it.

380  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 1T Avalon vs 9.xMh/s Scrypt Gridseed ? on: March 03, 2014, 12:58:45 AM
i wouldnt use the gridseed units to mine both.... seems they have issues in dual mode. 30 units would net you 80-110 ltc a month depending on the hash rate at the current difficulty. i have herd/seen mostly 300-400 each unit but have also herd of 500+ on each unit oc'ed/firmware upgrade.
