361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 13, 2021, 08:42:41 PM
ETH hit a new all time high 9 hours ago: $1,871.60

Even now it is trading at over $1800...

 Shocked
I wish Ethereum will go high, however how high can Ethereum go in 2021? Ethereum is already trading it's all time highs so it's much risky to invest. Yes, we're passing a bull market so we can get easily $2000 soon but how long? Thoughts?
Eth will definitely reach $2500 in next 3 months. This should not be taken as financial advise but eth is still a safe asset to buy.
We may see some small dips but eventually it will go to $2500 very soon.

I think this is the only local forum where we use English instaed of Hindi.
If this is India forum, we should ask and encourage people to use hindi. They can still use English script if they can't type devnagri but language must be hindi.

How much does it cost in gas to send .01 ETH?  Smiley Lowest cost.
Fees is not fixed it keeps changing. Your wallet will show the fee for slow and fast transaction. If you pay high gee,, your transaction will go through quickly.
Paying lower fee than suggest by network, may lead to you tokens stuck.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again? on: February 09, 2021, 09:36:38 PM
Creating new concepts means increasing the amount of scamming in new ways. I think i had to come back to invest in IEO.

- You know ICO had a lot of success at a time where investors weren’t disappointed, but a few days later a lot of scam ICOs were invented where investors lost a lot of their money.

- In the same way, many projects run by IEO got a lot of response at first but later they did not last long.

Again at this point in the same way Defi has created excitement where investors were smart at first time by making more profits but that is now where the scam scheme has grown and i don't think this concept will matter much anymore.[b/]
Ico days were great days. In those days we saw some projects gave huge return to investors. Even small investors made big profits.
Big exchange listing was also easy in those days.
Now most projects get listed on B grade exchanges even if they raise millions of dollars.

368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: February 09, 2021, 10:44:52 AM
Many people are talking about Bitcoin hitting $1 million USD in the future. Crypto enthusiasts are very optimistic, as they believe their dreams will come true with a Bitcoin halving taking place every 4 years. If Bitcoin hits such price levels, many early adopters will become millionaires. It could be tempting to either sell all of your Bitcoin or "hodl" it for the long term.

What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? Will you sell all of your Bitcoin for cash? Or will you go long in the hopes of Bitcoin reaching higher prices on the market? Will you donate your profits to a charity? Just curious to know. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
I would not sell all my BTC. I would prefer to use it for transaction rather than converting it to fiat. What is the point of haveing cryptocurrency if you eventually sell it for fiat?
Hols, spend and trade

370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin go up to $1000k? on: February 07, 2021, 09:11:24 PM
I am new at http://bitcointalk.org.
I want to know more about BTCitcoin.
One of my friends told me BTCitcoin will go up to $1000K.
Is this possible?Huh

It will definitely go to $1000k but the question is when. It will take few more years for BTC to reach there and the journey has already begun. We see institutional investors, we see government bodies, we see more and more people adopting BTC.
All these will lead BTC to $1000k and beyond.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHICH COIN IS THE NEXT ETHEREUM ? on: February 07, 2021, 08:46:29 PM
Guys which coin do you think will be the next ethereum ?
What do you mean by that? Next ethereum in what sense?
You mean in terms of market capitalization? You mean a blockchain for smart contract?
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH made me very Angry today on: February 07, 2021, 08:48:15 AM
Just wanna share this with you guys...maybe...just maybe it will help calm my nerves down

I found what i consider a gem today, so i was in a hurry to buy some before more people discover it and the price begins to go up, being an erc-20 token and only listed on uniswap and 1inch, i needed eth and i had zero eth on my wallet, fortunately, i had about $163 usd in my local bank account so i immediately took out $150 usd to buy some eth, after successfully buying eth from a centralized exchange, i quickly withdrew it to my trust wallet, the exchange took about $22 usd for Ethereum transfer fees so i was left with about $128 usd when the eth hit my trust wallet.

i quickly headed to uniswap to purchase my precious new found ticket to the moon, with my $128 usd in eth, i could have easily purchase about 2000 of the tokens but due to eth high fees, i brought it down to 1000 tokens so as to enable have some eth left for fees but surprisingly, when i clicked on swap, i was told that i don't have enough eth to cover the transaction fees, how much was the fees??? behold ! $87 usd, i was shocked, i didn't want to buy less than 1000 tokens so i decided to adjust the fees, after adjusting, i was able to bring the fee down to $42 usd, i was warned that my transaction might take a very long time before confirmation o might even be cancelled, i took my shot and clicked the submit button.

so the wait began ...

1 hour -- i was still waiting for a confirmation

3 hours -- i was still waiting for a confirmation

4 hours -- i was still waiting

5th hour came and some where in the middle of it, i got a notification from trust wallet that my transaction has been confirmed... i was happy, i quickly rushed to etherscan to view the transaction. lo and behold,, the transaction was confirmed but the token purchase didn't pull through, it returned an error saying like purchase wasn't successful due to low gas shit shit shit...WHAT THE F...KING HELL .. my $42 usd gone just like that HuhHuhHuh?? i was so fucking mad, in fact, if i knew where vitalik was, i would have called security men to have him arrested, i was devastated, i felt like crying, i was so mad at my wife and kid like its their fault,...it wasn't funny, out of $128 usd, i had just $86 usd left, i couldn't buy my precious ticket to the moon no more, its really a bad day for me today, i lost $150 usd just like that, that was all i had left in my local bank account, and now its gone all because of Ethereum high fees.

Increasing transaction fee is really the worst thing in Ethereum and until eth 2 is arrived, there seems to be no solution to it.
Sending erc20 tokens are much more expensive than sending eth.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin I should investmen with 5k dollars? on: February 07, 2021, 08:41:34 AM
You better to invest in the top altcoins than investing in DeFi tokens because it known as a pumps and dumps scheme, it's really risky if you invest in DeFis project. Just go to the top altcoins like ethereum, binance coin, cardano and etc.. then hold for long term, don't invest one altcoin only split your $5k in some altcoins.

That is a good piece of advice. Top 10 cmc coins are safe investment. In those top 10 too, diversify your investment. Buy at least 3 coins, hold them and just a year from now you will see your money grows.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transactions can be reversed if . . .! on: February 06, 2021, 11:03:57 PM
Just came across one of the article [1] which states that a bitcoin transaction can be reversed if you have got 51% hash power from the entire mining network.

It seems to me a false information but wanna know is it really possible to do so?

At least I know one thing for sure when a transaction is broadcasted it gets embedded into nodes, to create a block. As the different miners keep confirming the transaction it’s confidence increases and it sticks around “permanently”.

So why this article claims reversal is possible?

Reference:
[1] How does mining works
No single entity can own 51% of hash power. So though in theory it is possible to reverse Bitcoin transaction, in practice it can never happen. Increasing rate of difficulty to solve the block makes it more impossible with every halving.

I like making these threads because it's interesting to see how Bitcoin has changed people's lives. So how has Bitcoin helped you in your life?

For me personally, I use Bitcoin to accept money from people instantly.
Bitcoin has given me financial freedom. I am no more dependent on any third party to send money, store them and spend them.
It's a matter of fee seconds to mice your money anywhere in the world.
376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much did you make in Bitcoin trading? on: February 06, 2021, 09:58:57 AM

Things are going back to March 13, 2020, the second day of the 312 crash. I personally watched Bitcoin fall to 3,800 U.S. dollars, which is a few hundred U.S. dollars per second. I was shocked, because in my trading history , I’ve never seen the btc so low before, not to mention that there are only two months left before the 512 reduction
I have made some quick buvks in this volatile btc market.
Although I don't have much btc now but I don't want btc ptice to fall as it affects overall market and alts too fall.

378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IEO] ⚡AMEPAY- Crypto ⇌ Retail. IEO in BKEX + Listing in Bithumb Global 🔥 on: February 05, 2021, 10:42:43 PM
the price of ame is starting to survive and I hope it won't fall again, and hopefully partnering with the FERRUM project makes the price increase slowly, and let's wait for them to announce that they will be listed in the top 3 exchanges above.
Prices of all crypto tokens/coins are highly volatile. Ame is no exception. If Ame is not at its ATH now, it may go to nee ATH in future. The important thing is that the team jeep developing the product irrespective of market price.

If BTC goes to $1m, I will most likely repent because I have already sold most of my holdings.
I have again start accumulating but it will take me at least one year to have 1 whole BTC, so I want it to go to 1 million when I have 1 BTC Wink
380  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Pakistan has started work on legalizing bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: February 04, 2021, 09:07:53 PM

A few days ago we got the good news when we heard that there is no ban on crypto in Pakistan and it has not been given legal status yet. It was only a warning to keep newcomers away and to protect them from scams.

It has also been mentioned in this post.
[..] And I also think that soon cryptocurrency will become legal in Pakistan after that many more newbies will also come to this forum. [..] We are putting pressure on the government through Social Media and many other ways. https://crypto-economy.com/a-twitter-campaign-in-pakistan-is-in-trending-urging-government-to-legalize-cryptocurrencies-in-pakistan/  Further cryptocurrency has never been banned in Pakistan it has only been mislead people with misreporting by the media. The State Bank has not imposed a ban on cryptocurrency in Pakistan, the central’s bank lawyer told the Sindh High Court on Thursday. https://www.samaa.tv/news/2020/11/cryptocurrency-ban-in-pakistan-sindh-high-court/
[..]

However, according to the latest information, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has started work on it, and soon we can get some good news.

Quote
Pakistan’s government is working on a framework for regulating cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC).
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, or SECP, has published a consultation paper on regulating digital assets. Issued on Nov. 6, the paper outlines major concepts for the growing digital finance market in Pakistan and examines the existing regulatory frameworks developed by other global jurisdictions.
News link

If Pakistan gives legal status to cryptocurrency, then surely this will be very good news for Pakistanis as well as the entire crypto community. Because Pakistan is the fifth largest country in the world in terms of population. And 64% of its population is young, so we can expect a good contribution from them.
Good news indeed but since Pakistan's economy is in turmoil and it's mostly dependent on foreign ad, I don't think this will give any boost to BTC price or increase its adoption as average pakistani might not be able to buy it.
That said, if crypto is legalised, Pakistan can opt for Bitcoin mining and create big mining farms.
This will also boost their economy.
