361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 31, 2024, 09:50:19 PM
I have read a lot of thread on this board talking about the need to gamble responsibly and suggesting that gambling is meant to be done for fun and not to be seen as a means of livelihood. While this is theoretically alright, in the reality so many persons actually gamble because they want to get some financial top up from the gamble.
I'm just trying to make an estimation of the People that gamble solely for the fun and I think it doesn't even equate the number of  people that have their full interest on the winnings alone..

if there's actually a way to gamble without investing anything/ or maybe a way to invalidate the payment-on-winning option, I think that would prove better to us why people decide to invest in the first place.. meanwhile, don't always forget to recall in a hurry that GAMBLING IS A GAME OF LUCK.

I don't know why people are so beguiled by this unusual way of predicting the future... It may actually workout with anything else that's naturally programmed, not gambling.

I don't wanna turn this into a RELIGIOUS discussing and I feel it ain't even necessary right now, but superstitions doesn't work in everything.. do you know how many people would enrich themselves assuming it works? I read the first page and I came across a very intriguing story - a man had himself ridiculed just by trying to seek an alternative for gambling prediction...

363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there Casinos that offer Birthday Bonuses to their users? on: January 31, 2024, 09:23:53 PM
Your neighbor's wife is not a gambling site or a local casinos user or customer, she is a worker there.

The local casino gave her gift card that is worth $150. This is common in organizations people are working. Companies can give their workers gift card during birthday or during Christmas and other celebrations.
exactly!! You can't just be gifted 150 bucks on your birthday for just being a regular customer; AFAIK, nobody's known by their name, age or personality when wagering and getting a ticket...This has nothing to do with KYCs whatsoever... There isn't anything like being recognized and with that, given a special ticket - otherwise, gamblers that have experienced setbacks would immediately be issued a jackpot ticket as a sort of compensation whenever they try to gamble again.

Unless land-based casinos have improvised on their special packaged and offers, this isn't entirely TRUE.

Good day guys, how is the gambling industry helping you this period?
so many are making ends meet from wagering on indigenous games this period... Don't also forget in a hurry that there must always be some couple of loses...
Quote
However I just want to say that in the game world gamblers are always there to bet and the important thing here is when a gambler can not risk he also can not win, true or false?
Many might still believe that a gamblers who's just gambling at the first day might end up winning w huge amount of money that he wasn't expecting but the truth is that as long as you stake on bet you have already risk your money, be it big or small.
I can partially agree to this point of yours but I think everything doesn't just happen - it follows a trend of distribution and I think one can't be achieved without the other...

PREDICTION is one thing that would need your full consciousness and less EXPECTATIONS - the more you try to make things right, the less successful you might possibly become (which means it's solely about LUCK)... Having some handful of experiences would do good as it'd guide you on which odds to wager on.

Is there anyway to help this person? I have given some advice to start using small percentage of the whole salary and safe the rest but still couldn't, and I don't want to help him to hold his money for him, he is over 28 years old, not a underage.
sorry... I wanna ask this - how does he feed himself and probably ( his family if he has any?)..Cus assuming he's got responsibilities, he wouldn't be so extravagant on some meagre self-pleasure.. I can't imagine having a man that doesn't save up anything from his salary - neither does he have an extra source of income but keeps wagering all his funds...how are we supposed to pay the bills?

when I get to realize how impossible it is for some people to let go their gambling habits, my soul bleeds and I'm left in great awe.. I don't remember a time I planned on getting myself back to the trenches with some unnecessary, odd habits.

366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 30, 2024, 09:51:01 PM
Hey, guys! Are any of you emotional gamblers who often lose because you can't control what you feel? When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? If so, has anyone here been able to solve this kind of problem themselves, and if yes, how did you do it?
being emotional is normal, but allowing it to influence your gambling habits is the least thing you'd ever wanna dream of... That's actually the beginning of failure; when you FAIL to admit that you ain't on the right path and that you need to adjust, you've actually FAILED collectively.

it's actually unbearable to wager and lose continuously without any wins..." I'm not gonna lie, several people have been through that on my watch,.. there's never been a time it ends well". If you lose too much -- much more beyond your budget, please exit.

1. Talk to them and don't leave their side for too long, show them some love and make sure they don't have anything to do with gambling ever again, be soft and gentle with them.
I don't wanna sound rude for any reason... I don't even wanna consider the fact that sometimes, I might eventually fall a victim of the consequences of Thier addiction...

I feel anyone would tend to listen more when being spoken politely to; being harsh would only make the person see it as being an intrusion into his privacy and might revolt badly... The case of a different result isn't guaranteed should anyone decide to be calm with them but, it's better to understand that "FIRE CANNOT QUENCH FIRE".

Who are on the list of richest in the world are always powerful. They can even change anything of a country if they wish. They have the power of politics. They may be asked for advice on taking the country forward or on major policies of the country. So we can say they are the most powerful it can be directly or indirectly.
Money equals power. But there's a difference between self-accrued power and SOVEREIGNTY... don't even try to link them to any political or gubernatorial positions except they've been tutored already on that.. what you gotta understand is that - most of those countries you mentioned are already DEVELOPED countries and the rate of intolerance over political curruption is really high.

Bitcoin would certainly reach higher limits than what we've known it to be today... Cus why are the governs fighting to have prior control? It has shown its providence for over a decade and more.

Initially before this forum , I was active in trading crypto which sometimes my analysis will enter for me and I will make some money and at a point the phobia of loss enveloped my thought and I stopped trading crypto because of series of losses but when I joined the forum ( bitcointalk) I read a thread that talked about patience and that all the newbies should Hodl coins instead of trading and that they should go through what the high ranked members post before making their own post and after going through series of threads I decided to read as much as I can and to hodl as much as I can and now all my technical analysis are going towards my direction and the chances of loss has reduced however, I thank all the High ranked members for their advice and at same time ,I urge all the newbies to be patient enough to read more post before posting .
you just mixed up everything together and at some point, I felt like you haven't read enough in here to atleast - understand that this are somewhat two different topics.....yes!

I'm even more concerned about your experiences during the times you were still trading... If I'm quoting you directly; you said you normally made money from those little analysis, why did you stop?.. if you weren't fearful up to the time you started trading with a real account, what later triggered your fear?... Cus the forum being INFORMATIVE on HODLing rather than trading didn't trigger your fear, did it?

You are too categorical, OP. Sometimes circumstances beyond a person’s control arise when you have to spend something that you would like not to touch for a very long time.
HODLing isn't for everyone... If you've got a steady income and can possibly survive any vises without the HODLed funds, that's exactly when you're ready!... It's also the reasons why we keep advising newbies to not jump into HODLing 'em coins because they've heard so many people doing so... BIG QUESTION IS - How patient can you be??! What if the money vanished into thin air, won't you source out for an alternative over your said problems?
Because you were patience enough to hold the right currency which is Bitcoin.
Patience is a virtue.. not everyone has it. So in cases like this, some would survive and make profits while others would become profitable to the miners.

* saving your Secret phase on your phone: if you are ever concerned about your on security, then this one should be avoided by all means, because it's just like when you save you login banking details on your phone, in such senario, if your phone is being compromised and it fell into the wrong hand, then you will surely pay dearly for your actions.
we've gotten to a point that everyone's supposed to have them basics like this already... Mobile phones and tabs are all trackable gadgets - alot of people that still don't wanna improvise have likely not fallen a victim yet, but that doesn't mean it ain't happening... All the terrible news and every-day happenings should atleast scare you into protecting your wallets with all cost.

haven't they all learnt that their gadgets could download and install a malware/ virus, programed to convey needed informations about Thier locals banks?? Talkmore of crypto wallets?

Alot of people get whitelisted for free... Does anyone need to be lucky? I didn't get that..
I know am new here, but I would like to given a suggest for make a new payment with bitcoin lighting or alt-crypto?
fine... I was able to read what you wrote but I'm not gonna say I understood you, honestly. Are you trying to like create an awareness on Bitcoin lightning network to us? Or are you an altcoincer that feels an option for bTC lightning should be created on the payment schedule for whitelisting??..
Why then, if you wanted to use the Gokana account in the future, did you create a new account (Gokana.) and pay the evil fee for that one instead of your original account?
what's the idea in creating an account with the same username - having a dot as the only difference - just to get one whitelisted?

Lemme give it to you the way it is -- The forum won't be better without signature campaigns, unless you're tryna assume that signature campaigns weren't even in existence before now... But then, the awareness of placing a casino on advert in here was already created and there's no way that would be erased so easily...

signatures have created an awareness that would nearly be impossible for another form of promotion to create... I got in here already just to realize that we've got a YouTube channel, that hasn't referred up to atleast 30% of newly registered accounts, IMHO.

I was... There were times I wouldn't even say too much cus I felt like I would be nuked for knowing too much or tryna reveal the little piece of shit I thought I knew... This inferiority complex is Normal for every beginner - atleast it's momentary: but if you allow it to weigh you down, you'll end up not posting on the right boards, at the right time..thus, not having any merits to rank up.. This doesn't also infer that you should become a troll -

Also, I have a small number of threads that have no merit (that's my main fear). I even stopped commenting on some posts, thinking I might be wrong in my knowledge, even though I was right.
That's your fault... The more you create informative threads, the more your chances of getting merited... Just do well to keep your composure and everything's gon' be fine...

How much Do you like this forum ?...  As much as I would like anything so enlightening, just the way the forum is...

I've gotta admit that I learnt the act of consistency in here.. I'm a type of person that don't really fancy giving in too much time to one thing... I normally got multi -choices - my job, my business and everything would just have to follow up at the right time...
I acquired a value in here that would have cost me more that a thousand bucks to begin with... The enlightenment on Bitcoin theory, technical analysis (which was conceived as an idea in here, but was completed few months after), the value and recycling process, price action, sentimental analysis,...etc.. I just find myself real comfortable, as long as I stay in here.

I have keenly noticed that, some members of the forum like the legendary members do not have good choice of words in expressing their thought , outside abusive choices of words or words that sounds like bullying.
when you make some sort of complaint without any valid reference link to the original post, it makes me feel like the person you're tryna summon is even right for being a little bit cruel ( ofcourse if the case is what @lovesmay described below, then that wasn't cruelty).. pin down that point!

They are most times emotional and personal in their contributions to issues of public concern.
exactly!! Which is definitely what you're portraying even as a newbie.. who's being emotional here? does that really commensurate with your topic?

probably just you. Out of the number of trolls we've got in here, how Many of them are legendary members? How many are newbies and members?.. I'm crapping right now!

@348Judah  My reason to make an application is that the number of merit sources is very limited on my local board as I said before. And it is because of my thinking that I would be able to choose quality posts better as Turkish is my mother language.
did you really have to explain yourself to him? ...The whole goddamn post was made really explicit and asking questions would mean trying to thwart OP's effort. If he wasn't in support, It'd be better if he STFU ...that ain't his LB anyways

Op, go ahead... I'm fully in support of your application... Since you've realized the essence of merit circulation, I think Theymos wouldn't wanna neglect your dreams, NOT this time.. he's got alot on his table to work on but I feel this is solely about his decisions and how long he'd wanna pend them request.
What I said above is just a complaint from the past which I don't know where it is anymore -
NOTHING seems to have changed ever since you complained... maybe You'll wanna apply for sourceship?

That was actually a bad experience -- too bad to have been overlooked... I'll make him pay every single dime, maybe it'll serve as a deterrent to avoid any form of repetition next time. I've never seen a time where any form of addiction makes a positive impact on anyone... It's usually from cases like this to something even worse... Seen similar cases and the brief question that pops up in me is - what if the money was meant for the person's utility bill, rent etc??

This should teach people to not have full Trust on a human... Always try to understand that anything can happen and people can decide to change - either for good or for bad.

What do you think about this all? Do you like your dealer talkative or not?
And if you prefer the dealer being talkative, would you mind if they made up some story just to keep talking? Or would you prefer even that over silence?
Does this really need to be asked? I don't think so... People have different stereotypes -- some could be clingy and some could be bored if they've got so many people around them... I wouldn't prefer having my dealer being a talkative... There's always a certain level to where he/she would need to understand that my personal space is meant for me alone.

it's always really annoying to engage in unnecessary discussions at the moment of loses - most people are not proned to controlling their anger issues so there's a possibility that someone flairs up... Building a good relationship with your dealer would also be as better anyways!!

I am concerned to ask, can such a person build a gambling carrier with such an excellent guessing prohibition? Or he should trash it all and believe that gambling predictions remains a game of luck?
Things like this aren't strange anymore in our ears... We know that in our cycle of friends, we've got those set of peeps that would guess and swear on Thier lives should it not be the Truth...

what do you mean by "guessing prohibition"? I haven't been able to figure out what that is but I know for sure that gambling isn't a game without luck... You must be very lucky sometimes -- which would be interpreted by how constructive your betting choices are... It'll also make you learn how to understand that some areas of gambling are just meant for fun, and that nothing is expected at the end...
