is there a timeline for proposed algo swap?

Hi guys,

It seems that zpool.ca is the only public pool for this coin.
I've started up a unomp instance running CrownCoin (CRW) on a VPS i had spare.
I'm claiming a 5% fee currently but will drop this down if it proves popular.

Feel free to mine using:

Web Host: http://bazco.in
Stratum Host: stratum+tcp://bazco.in:3333
Username: crowncoin address
Password: anything

Configured to start with a minimum diff of 8192, suitable for both mid-level ASICs as well as MiningRigRentals/Nicehash (SHA256).
Minimum difficulty will not drop below 1024.

James

please note this is not a 'throne' node, however this could change in the future

Thanks for setting that up.

We're not too sure which pools merge mine Crowncoin at the moment but we've noticed our network hash rate exceed 4PH/s on a fairly regular basis so we're fairly sure it isn't just zpool mining CRW.

Is your pool only mining CRW?  Would probably make sense if you were mining other Sha256 coins with it too!

I hadn't considered that; but merge-mining is supported with unomp so I will look into it later this evening.
Worldgoldcoin is also on the same pool so it may prove to be a worthwhile candidate.

cpu-pool what does Orphaned mean in the transactions ??

Orphaned (in the context of blocks found) basically means that two found blocks on the network were found to conflict and the 'orphaned' one was chosen to be invalid. Usually because one was propogated across the network quicker than the other block finder (pool or individual) was able to.

Where is current hashrate Suprnova or MN? Can not choose which info is real..

Both are accurate; nethashrate (equivalent to networkhashps via getmininginfo) is quite irrelevant, as it is based on calculations derived from the rate that blocks are being solved, its not actually derived from network conditions.
Suprnova is 1,600kh/s and Pool.mn is around 240kh/s.

If you were to take the same share rate/size as currently being submitted (as scrypt), you'd divide the results by 128 for Lyra2.

Additionally, i got quite sick of xzc.pool.mn; as the stratum appeared to continuously fail and reappear last night (no doubt due to traffic).
This may actually be an implementation problem with Zerocoin and not pool.mn itself.
Ok, that is good to know. But statistics page on both pool show total different results.

apologies; my answer contradicts itself.. whichever nethashrate is higher will be the accurate 'world' hashrate. however both pool hashrates are correct.

any news of a GPU miner on the horizon?
seems a modified version of lyra2 with additional rows and block height as a parameter is definitely in the realm of doable..

i'd say it most likely already exists but someone is holding it close to their chest..

If zcoin is switching algos soon i dont think we'll ever see one

Where did you read about algo change? Sure you don't mean zcash?

the first few days of mining this were unreal, however profitability is down a bunch now that the entirety of the unshaved masses have joined in.

i've currently 12x c4.8xlarge (36 cpu) amazon instances running ubuntu 14.04, piped through a stratum-proxy (you NEED this for any more than 4-5 miners to work correctly, otherwise you get weird errors after a few minutes). this combinations puts down about 16-20kh/s.

lol droplets, sounds like something that happens when you dont wipe properly.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin - The Zerocoin cryptocurrency, guaranteeing financial privacy on: October 08, 2016, 10:51:34 AM
i've managed to snag about 15 zcoin with 10-12kh over 3 hours, not bad.

Which cpu?

used 4x linux 64cpu amazon ec2 (m4.16xlarge) spot instances @ $0.55 per hr for 3 hours.
so basically tripled my initial investment.

how many RDP?

RDP?

kiklo,

what have i told you about leaving your big jar of 'antimonkeybutt' lying around..
now we have pro-investor high as a kite, running around like cornholio spouting prophecies of the death of supercoin when its just coming back to life.

when he needs it; one dollop on the finger, anticlockwise motion in his special place.. then put it away.  Cheesy

I've put the offer out there for someone handy with graphical design to give me a message; i'm yet to hear any serious offers.
where he was asked about the development and graphical design of the purse?

here:
* jumps out of the bushes..

hi all,

supercoinplusd (daemon) - 80%
supercoinplusd (client) - 20%
supercoinplus blockexplorer/crosschain decoder - 20% (i'd say more, but this needs to be perfect+)
existing supercoin 'sidekick' - 20%

is anyone interested in coming up with some neat graphics for the qt wallet? pm if interested.

Or the original SUPER developer should show them how  a real developer works.

 Grin

Shill away guy..
I've invested about 80-100 hours into codebase of the new client, the code for creating the crosschain transactions, the code for implementing the actual sends from the old client and pay for a node (out of my own pocket) to support the existing SuperCoin network, as well as another node for the new SuperCoinPLUS network.

I've put the offer out there for someone handy with graphical design to give me a message; i'm yet to hear any serious offers.

What do you do for SuperCoin other than bitch and moan?

Also shows that the European (or should I say French) developers are more trustworthy then their not European colleagues.

Pretty big blanket statement against most of the world there.. how do you arrive at that conclusion?

Griffith,

#define BOOST_NO_CXX11_SCOPED_ENUMS
#include <boost/filesystem.hpp>
#undef BOOST_NO_CXX11_SCOPED_ENUMS

This fix don`t help.
err:

obj/walletdb.o: In function `BackupWallet(CWallet const&, std::string const&)':
walletdb.cpp:(.text+0x2322): undefined reference to `boost::filesystem::detail::copy_file(boost::filesystem::path const&, boost::filesystem::path const&, boost::filesystem::copy_option, boost::system::error_code*)'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [SuperCoind] Error 1

you have to make clean, and then start the compile process over again. since this is a linker issue the whole project needs to be recompiled.

can you give some info about the system? what OS? which compiler are you using?

make clean has no effects =(
os: ubuntu-server 14.04 x64

make -f makefile.unix clean

few progress snapshots as well (apologies all; i do confess that pro-investor's mum has been keeping me busy, she nags almost as much as he does):

please note that the block explorer is for crosschain conversion use only,
we'll have a much purdier one available for the public later on.

I cant build wallet from: https://github.com/Greg-Griffith/SuperCoin
os ubuntu server 14.04x64

make -j 4 -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- DEBUGFLAGS=""
...
walletdb.cpp:(.text+0x2322): undefined reference to `boost::filesystem::detail::copy_file(boost::filesystem::path const&, boost::filesystem::path const&, boost::filesystem::copy_option, boost::system::error_code*)'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [SuperCoind] Error 1

any ideas?

in walletdb.cpp; put // in front of the copy_file line, its only to do with backing up wallet - then compile again.

yes it does prevent wallet backups; however since this is for his block explorer it shouldnt be an issue.

GrinZ - give this a go.

have fun,

Hi all,

While i love shilling accounts/trolls hanging shit on supercoin (actin' like they know), it does make me think that a little progress board isnt such a bad idea. Part of the reason that this is taking a while to do, is that there are quite a few separate/large tasks to be achieved before we can even think about launching SuperCoinPlus.

I'm still working on the blockexplorer/chainswap node (nearly done), but I will try and come up with something to give a bit clearer picture on progress later today.
