361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins hold to moon 1 year? on: July 20, 2018, 11:41:47 PM
I'm looking to invest in a trustworthy Altcoin with a good team and project that I can hold for 1 years. Do you have any suggestions for what I should invest in and why?

You can opt for big market cap coins that have proven itself in the market like NEO, XLM, ETH and also BTC. It's a safer one for me, but if you want to risk for high fold returns, you may go for low cap coins that have good potential, always check the team, project, community and etc before deciding to invest.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest into Bitcoin or bank on: July 20, 2018, 01:53:02 PM
I have worked to get $2000 worth of money and I am planning of investing in bitcoin but my uncle is pressuring me to save the money at bank. I have done everything to convince him but he is not comprehending to my point. Please what do i tell him again to convince him?

The hard part about this is that close minded people are very hard to convince. $2000 is a lot of money but it isn't that big if you lose without trying. Regret will be more expensive. Put it in a bank and yes your money will  Be "safer". But put it in bitcoin and your returns will far exceed the lose percentage.
363  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin fails to bull run on: July 20, 2018, 12:33:44 AM
I see some threads discussing that bitcoin will bull run getting to the end of this year. Guys, what are you going to do if these speculations fail to come to reality and enters next year. Will you still invest in bitcoin?

This all depends on what you believe. Some people invested in bitcoin because of the hype and not really know what bitcoin is all about. And there are believers. No matter what happens, bull or not we keep on holding until we really need to sell.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency could help your business or not? on: July 20, 2018, 12:26:02 AM
I was doing some research online and I stumbled on this kind of news. https://news.bitcoin.com/since-embracing-bitcoin-robinhood-app-value-jumps-to-5-6-billion/

The article said that robinhood app after embracing cryptocurrency have its value jumped to 6 billion dollars after embracing bitcoin. This is a good sign that more and more people are engaging into bitcoin. If more business will enter into the world of cryptocurrency and will bring back the original purpose of cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange rather than just and object of income and a trading item then surely we could revolutionized the world of finance and economy.

With robinhood as an example do you think there will be more business online that will boom and will not go bankrupt due to cryptocurrency?

I guess its hard to determine such facts base on one example so let us wait for the future to unveil itself.

Bitcoin can help businesses grow but it is only applicable for anything that can be transacted online. Even if bitcoin will be legally made into a virtual currency not all people can and will have access online. But it really can benefit if bitcoin is partnered with any business
365  Economy / Speculation / Re: What factors make Bitcoin rise again? on: July 19, 2018, 04:31:09 PM
Bitcoin prices rose sharply today, climbing past $7,000 and rising to their highest since June as strong momentum drove gains.
The digital currency's price hit $7,440.25 on the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index (BPI), up 11.7% gain from the daily low of $6,663.03.

Link: Bitcoin surge: multiple factors contributing to the rally?

What factors make Bitcoin rise again? Will it continue to rise?

When people are in buy mode then prices will go up. Some big positive news can also help. But mostly is the buying and selling of bitcoin that prices go up and down. That is why it is better to hold unless you really need to sell by
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to have bitcoin shortage? on: July 19, 2018, 03:35:24 PM
I do not think that bitcoin will be enough if the whole people around the world will going to buy bitcoins. There will be too much shortage on bitcoin supply and this will lead also to have an expensive market price for bitcoin. As we all know that there are billions of people around the world and bitcoin supply is only limited. So meaning to say in the near future there will be a shortage for bitcoin supply and thus will lead to create another dominant coin like having ether as one of the possibilities that it will be the next to bitcoin. As of this moment i am seeing this already closely to happen. What do you think?

If this happens then holders of bitcoin will be very happy. There maybe billions of people in the world but not everybody is into technology and online investments. When this happens then every bitcoin holder will be smiling
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My $36,000 Invesment Turned Out Now $12,000 - Still Holding on: July 19, 2018, 02:48:00 PM
I know how people feel, those who invested in December or January like me, who fell love with crypto, and the way price was going up, never believed I have to see market cap under $250 billion. However, Everyday I check my Black folio app, I feel sick in my stomach. Sometimes I feel what I have done? But i knew there was a risk, i knew, I could lose money, but I couldn't control my rush of blood, seeing people buying right and left whatever they could.

But my question to all those investors, do you believe in crypto? If you do then hold tight because good days will come, if you are not in need an emergency cash, then hold your coin, It can't be red all days, it will be green. have some faith in this industry. I know it's hard seeing the bloodbath, what's happening, but we will rise again.

Even though I lost 70% of my portfolio, I'm still holding because I know good days are coming soon. Good luck guys.

Well, my current holdings are.

1. NEO
2. LISK
3. XLM
4. MCO
5. BAT
6. POWR
7. WABI
8. START
9. WTC
10. RPX

I agree, no point in selling coins right now if you dont need cash, as the prices are ridiculously low. By the way, you have good choices of coins, except for START which im not familiar, the rest I know kinda well.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: encourage others to crypto on: July 19, 2018, 02:43:53 PM
Will you encourage others to invest in crypto and explain to them that this is not a scam or a pyramiding activity?

I would if they are willing to learn. But right now, I dont want to force people who doesn't want to learn and know more about crypto. It has to start with them.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO VS TRADING on: July 19, 2018, 02:42:33 PM
I want to start investing for ico and trading. Please to help from where should I start?

What needs to be prepared and cared for before starting it?

I am very grateful for the members who helped me in this forum.

and maybe this can also re-remind the new citizens who want to enter the world of investment (trading and ico).

thanks

If you want something for long term and not mind waiting, then you can go for ICO. If you want to actively trade for short-mid term then you can do trading. Also, most ICO's after hitting exchanges drops, you can buy there if you dont wanna participate in ICO's.
370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you now going to hold when the market is red? on: July 18, 2018, 03:41:11 PM
All of a sudden bitcoin jumped from 6.5k to almost 8k today. I believe those who made panic selling are very disappointed now. This is the reason why i said bitcoin investment is not only about risk taking. Am pretty sure no old member sold thiers at that cheap. Sometimes experience counts. Never think bitcoin is gonna die

This is so true. If you invest Pls read and research what you are going into so that you can understand and know what to do. We never panick sell because we believe in bitcoin. We trade and we sell some of our profit for our daily expenses. That is what bitcoin has given us. A means to earn. Smiley
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone bought up all the existing bitcoins? on: July 18, 2018, 03:16:55 PM
Hi, I am a noob to all this bitcoin stuffs. It sounds like an interesting idea but before I invest too much into it I have
some questions and concerns. Perhaps highest on my list of concerns is the possibility that someone will buy up all,
or most, of all the bitcoins that exist.

Will it be just like the existing economic system where the rich get richer on the backs of the poor?
Will that not destroy the whole bitcoin project and make whatever bitcoins I happen to get myself worthless?

I have read a few things on this kinda stuff and some of it sounds pretty scary. I don't know how much of it
is FUD or how feasible any of it is at all at all.

Please help me understand and ease my mind in regard to this issue.

Thank you

If a single buyer bought all remaining bitcoins then the price would go up. And the market will not crumble or crash but people will eventually cashout and spend money so the cycle would be the same. Price goes up then down then up again.
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will you sell all your coins in Bull market? on: July 18, 2018, 03:12:20 PM
Many people are waiting for the market recovery to sell their coins but I bet you,as soon as market recovers ,they will feel reluctant to sell.

We are trading and if we profit then we sell some and keep whatever is left. We only cashout what we need so that we can roll our investment. So hopefully bull market is coming so that we can make up for the time the market was bearish.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market tactics on: July 13, 2018, 04:58:33 PM
Hi all,

The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.

Thanks

Nobody knows exactly when it will reverse. But after that massive bull run i believe whales or whoever are holding a big chunk of btc are still accumulating cheap alts for the next bull run to come.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THEKEY (thk) project !! the next x100 coin **** on: July 13, 2018, 04:54:26 PM
When I choose a 10x-100x coin I put many conditions
The currency is THEKEY and meets all conditions. The first condition is the possibility of using currency technology by governments, companies, etc.
This currency has signed a contract of cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the Government of China .. You know what China means for the Crypto.
For the purchase, it is your responsibility to confirme the bull trend  Wink

I see quite a lot of people on telegram shilling this coin, I have yet to check this one out, sounds interesting though and it's quite cheap at the moment. By the way, what makes it different from CIVIC?
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: July 13, 2018, 04:52:15 PM
I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it's way to early to be selling your altcoins. It's like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?

So tell me, why are you selling your altscoins so soon?

Some people sell when they are in profit anticipating for another drop in price, hence they can buy it cheaper while having the profit to add to the capital. The others are traders and not investors so they buy and sell when in profit. Not all coins will survive so most will book profits and look for other coins to buy.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining is costly... on: July 12, 2018, 03:34:20 PM
One thing to say mining bitcoin consumes a large amount of electricity and it would take lots of equipment to manned the mining. There should be a development in making the cost of bitcoin lower; given that lower mining cost could yield a higher profit. However, it matters on trading and exchanges.

Bitcoin mining is costly. But maybe you can mine different coins like eth. If i had the capital for this i would venture into it no question. I would invest in solar or wind or kinetic for electricity cost. The only problem Is capital. It takes money to make money.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin down, altcoin rise. why? on: July 12, 2018, 03:24:26 PM
I do not understand what happened to some altcoins, I know that when correction, red altcoin dominates the crypto market.

but when the bitcoin correction, there is still altcoin that has increased and rises significantly.

what factors make altcoin rise when bitcoin falls?
share your knowledge with me!

This just shows how volatile tye market is. Usually when bitcoin price goes down alt coins follow suit. But not always. Some alt coins either remain the same and some alt coins rise. So some may be lucky and make a big profit when this happens
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DECENTRALIZED OR CENTRALIZED? on: July 11, 2018, 04:26:34 PM

Many individuals agree and have the same opinion about bitcoin as decentralized digital asset, a system without a central bank or single administrator is more favourable.
But somehow, numerous citizens want also the bitcoin to be centralized, because others believes it can remove barricades and walls to allow more easily reached and democratized financial and economic infrastructure.
For you what is your own perspective regarding this matter?

I think that bitcoin should be decentralized and just maybe some regulations so that bad elements cannot take advantage of bitcoin animosity. If government want to tax bitcoin then our coin exchanges are already do7ng that.
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will you sell Bitcoins ? on: July 11, 2018, 03:44:57 PM
10 to 12 times profit is 14 years is OK. Then it stops as per normal trading in financial markets. Now stock markets will most likely see -30% fall.

$400 to $7000 in 4 years for bitcoin is 20 times profit. This could be the reason Bitcoin starts falling from $6,700.

When will you sell Bitcoins ??

We don't think selling now is a good idea. But we are believers of bitcoin so we will be holding until we really need the money. For bow we are trading and using the profits for our daily needs.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin making the world go crazy? on: July 11, 2018, 03:42:20 PM
Bitcoins have made people head spin for 8 years now and become unbelievable since December 2017, when the value of 1 bitcoin rose up to 20 000 USD! But how this phenomenon appeared, what are the causes of this craziness… Found out in this article
https://blog.bitspark.io/why-is-bitcoin-making-the-world-go-crazy/

We are in the digital age and young people are always on the internet so digital currency is also a must. And bitcoin will be the next it thing just like the internet or facebook. That is why government wants to regulate it as it will be bigger than everything
