Why are you selling your altcoins so soon?

I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it's way to early to be selling your altcoins. It's like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?

Mostly people have fear and they expect x10 in 1 week, they dont see the result, they think that they have lost their money and so they sell
I'm holding all my altcoins waiting for all the completment of the project  and then i'll choose what to do
Now it's the time to buy!

Not all the altcoins will survive  man.You want to hold for long term , just do it . Sell and buy are the must of a normal market.

There is no point in investing in something and selling it cheaply to buy something else (this is pure retailer).

I assume most people expect another crash for the chinese new year and hope to buy during that crash. Or some just daytrade, who knows.

Many people are selling their alt coins due to recent market crash. They expect big income when they invested on crypto yet all the prices dropped they only think for short term and not for long term investment, also there are crucial factor that making investors panic is the issue about FUD news and scams, they become afraid thus they sell their coins. But still im holding mine. HODL

Many believe bitcoin will pump soon and for this reason they sell all their assets to get bitcoin due to low price it is experiencing currently which they have seen to be an opportunity for them.
It is a better idea anyways but notwithstanding I still prefer holding my altcoin(pending the time exchange will come back to normal position) to selling them at this point in time.
I'm aiming to get more profit from them later and I believe very soon things will come in place.

I'm selling when I'm ready to release it and ready to take the profit. But I know that not all the people are the same when it comes to selling, there are weak handlers who are forced to sell because they are scared to see a very quick price fall of cryptocurrencies mainly with bitcoin and followed by ETH.

Especially tokens with airdrop. I see people seeking way of selling these tokens before even they arrived to their wallets. For sure not all conins will perform well. but you did not pay a dime to get those tokens you have nothing to loose if you wait and see how it performs.

As you have listed many people have different views in selling their altcoins, I will say mostly why people sell their altcoins is because of fear of future drop in their prices. As for me and what I have stand to learn I don't sell in hastely situation but wait for the right timing which is when there is increment in their prices.

When I buy some coins I expect to get some profit. So in most cases I don't sell them until I get my profit. Of course it can take a lot of time, but in this case I don't loose anything. So when market is red I just hold.  Sometimes I can sell the coin when I feel that I can get more profit by investing money in another coin.

In some kind of coins, I see very profitable prospects and keep them in my wallet for the time being, and on some I earn by selling them at the moment when they reach a good price. Basically it's coins that I get as a reward for bounty.

I guess because of panic emotion that push those investors and holders to sell all coins or altcoins and bitcoin. There is always winner and loser to both parties whether the investors who win or the market will win. To decide to sell is like 50/50 chances.

I can't tell you because I'm not selling anything during bloodbaths. Those are times when one should buy coins or at least hold what they have. Of course there are coins which should be sold very fast shortly after their appearance on the market. Those coins are extremely risky to buy, but it's true that in some cases you can make 5x gain in one day with them. No way I'm promoting sh*tcoins here. I'm just saying it's possible to make a good profit with them, although it is highly unlikely.

I only sell during this down periods only if i need money for an emergency.
The best strategy would be to sell a portion of your coins when the market is high, so you won't need to cash-out when the market is like now ..

Actually this year many new tokens were born, so they have not shown their true potential yet, but some are in bubble, so it is better to sell and buy when they crash.

I agree with what to said, people expect that their investment will get doubled or tripled in a week and when that doesn't happen or prices drop, they switch to btc or cash out.There is more chances of profit in bitcoins than altcoins most people think this but imo if invest in right coins like etheruem and some alt coins can be quite profitable in long run.

Not all the altcoins will survive  man.You want to hold for long term , just do it . Sell and buy are the must of a normal market.

Depend on how you assess the market, alts are good for both short and long its the timing and the understanding that matters, there's a lots of coins which possibly bring a lots of profits for longer hold as also some short term can be okay especially if you got the right timing riding with the pumped and dumped developers.

The common strategy during the fall is the following. For example I have 1000 Eth and now it cost 800$ per coin. I guess that the fall will be continued so I want to sell my funds to USD and buy more ETH at the lower price. It's a pretty natural feeling, but it causes even worst situation at the market, but there is no another way... The market is self-regulated system with a lot of variables
