361  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How to make btc faster throug mining? on: November 30, 2015, 12:07:56 PM
I want to know that how can i make btc faster through mining.
Is this the best way to make btc and from where does this btc comes to miners.?

--------------------------------------------------

Step 1

Learn how mining works....

Step 2

Buy a miner...

Step 3

Earn bitcoin...

--------------------------------------------------

Always know this.... There is no way to cheat the system & earn BTC faster than anyone else does....

Is it just me?? Or is the BTC price going up again coupled with the halving of the coin bringing out the usual bunch of rip merchants / scammers / get rich quick people??
362  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will bitmain do another Antminer C ? on: November 30, 2015, 12:03:45 PM
I personally would like to see another Quiet water cooled miner...

My C1-B2 lasted 12 months for me, I did have a pump failure but was only offline for 10 days cause of it.

Thank you Bitmain for the great RMA service on that one...

I just sold my C1 about 3 months ago & i'm pretty sure its still going, Running on Solar power now i believe..

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How about a C7 that runs 1 blades at around 1.6Th @ 435w with S7 chips but is totally silent??

Set it at $700 with pump & delivery...

Bitmain - Im in & im sure u would sell heaps with a cheaper unit!
363  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Solo mining question on: November 30, 2015, 11:25:11 AM
If u get 2 x S7's why not solo mine on one & pool mine on the other??

That way u earn either way!
364  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 21.co bitcoin computer! on: November 29, 2015, 06:50:15 AM
I think it's a bit silly to try and compare their current device and associated "mining pool" to a more usual "ASIC miner + Pool". They repeatedly point out that the whole idea isn't to mine Bitcoins. As best we know at this time, it's not possible to redirect it's mining engine towards anything other than their "pool".

Anybody that's unhappy with any conventional metrics (i.e. $$$/GH, J/GH) have not been paying attention to what they have written and their stated goal. If you don't buy into the "I want to do something with BTC and micro-transactions", then this device will not satisfy you. Since their "pool" isn't open to the general public for other miners, it doesn't make sense to try and compare it.

Ah thats interesting, I didnt know the device is locked to there pool only??

366  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / 21.co bitcoin computer! on: November 19, 2015, 02:16:07 PM
Have i misread something about the bitcoin computer??

I originally saw specs for a 100 - 120gh miner running at 0.15w per gh meaning total watts used would be 15w

I saw comments on amazon that people were only getting 50gh max & its still running at 15w, This makes spec 0.3w per gh..

Can someone clear this up for me??

Or is 21.co stealing 50gh off the backend for itself??
367  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 21.co bitcoin computer/miner on: November 19, 2015, 02:11:58 PM
Im just going to throw this out there......

When the spec's for this chip was announced it was going to be 100 - 120gh @ 0.15w = 100gh = 15w

Why are these chips running at only 50gh & full voltage when its only doing half the speed??

Can someone clear this up for me??

Or is 21.co hitting the backend of this device for 50gh on top of the 50gh we are getting, Essentially giving them the same ammount of bitcoin as u for the entire time the machine is switched on??

Otherwise the efficiency specs are up the crap, Its only running 50gh @ 0.3w = 15w
368  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 01, 2015, 10:00:45 AM
My main concern is noise in a share house so I'm keen to get smits up and running but if it's too complicated I better try the standard FW first I suppose.

Hey see here for all the tips u need concerning the S4

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=796839.msg12444425#msg12444425

Ah sweet I saw that post before but wasn't sure if it was the most up to date thanks!

Ebay Australia is where i sold it..

$1000 for the unit & $200 postage...

I hand delivered the unit as it was only a 45min drive away...

$1250 Australian is $850 US

I also sold my C1 for $550 Aust which is $400 US which is what i paid for it too..
I just got my S4 in Aus for $400 USD delivered or there abouts.

Are you still mining? Any tips for a new miner downunder?
Still mining on old gear i never sold...

F2pool is the best bet at the moment for pool mining..

Tips.. Underclock your S4 as shown in my guide

Max hash for less watts...

The diff is going up thru the roof so u wanna downclock to not waste to much power...

Its wasteful & btc price wont cover it.. If it gets above $750 btc again turn it up full boar!!

easy as..

Sd write problems check ur card is formated to the image correctly.

When writing images to sd card it will format the card into 4 sections automatically..

Best use a 4gb sd card of anytime so as to not waste space.

372  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fanilly had a 220 30 amp line out in best thing ever on: October 20, 2015, 10:08:18 AM
Being Australian we have native 240v 20a power wherever i have lived...

Now not being an electrician & understanding the whole 120v vs 240v thing can someone explain a few things??

I have always wondered why we use 240v vs 120v as it seems we draw double the power why do we have to pay extra when anything would quite easily run on 120v??

We pay about 0.13kw which to me is expensive compared to some of u out there

What is the major benefit of 240v over 120v??

Cause the only difference i see is u guys built ur power grid before us so u would have used an older style system..

I spose this is one of those things like tv systems (Pal vs Ntsc & whatever the other one is)
373  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER Windows build for TECHNOBIT's Boards on: October 05, 2015, 11:40:53 AM
I know this has been a long time between posts in this thread but i've just sold my Bitmain C1 & S4 miners & dont currently have a proper miner running...

I am currently awaiting the release of the 21 bitcoin computer & in the mean time I pulled out my Technobit HEX16A2 (HEXc) miners to run as i was having miner withdrawals...

I did actually try to sell these but as it seems i kept them too long & no one brought them off me... so if anyone is interested i'll sell them ( I have 3 ) for US$25 plus postage to where u live...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next i currently am using cgminer 4.7.1 which came from this thread with zadig but was wondering if this could be run with bfgminer or not??

Any help is appreciated as i have some old 10gh blades which i was going to run at the same time till i can get my 21 bitcoin computer...
374  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Spondoolies Golan Heights coming this month on: October 04, 2015, 07:09:48 AM
Without even thinking about it...

7000gh = 7th @ 3500w = 0.5w per gh...

It doesn't even matter what price this is unless its free & u have free electricity

This machine is not worth any money when the S7 is 0.25w per gh...

Buy 2 and have 10th @ 0.25w & kill the spoondoolies machine..
375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 21 co introducing bitcoin [mining+] computer for $399.99 (unofficial thread) on: September 28, 2015, 10:33:28 AM

Did you mean Ebay or PayPal?

I meant both... Ebay & Paypal...

I'm pretty sure that Ebay sold Paypal back off fairly recently, due to massive underperformance.

I dunno why anyone uses Paypal, it's NOT trustable and widely known to be both a ripoff company and to have a 'corporate plan' that FORCES it to rip folks off to actually make a profit.

Ebay & paypal are owned by the same group of people, What happen just recently was that the two companies had been operating as 1 entity & one of the major shareholders figured that the 2 companies run separately would be worth more money (Cause he want to sell his paypal stake)

So they stopped the companies working as 1 splitting them into 2 making the value of ebay about 700,000,000 & ebay about 600,000,000...

I'm not sure if the major shareholder who caused this to happen has sold his shares or not yet??

I'm out of mining for the moment but intend to buy a 21 bitcoin computer to see what they have to offer...

I think there are some possibilities there worth exploring...

I can say i just sold my S4 & C1 miners for US$1300 which is about what i paid for them both including delivery (After using coupons) So i broke even on them. I had a lot of fun over the last 12 months with them...

Couldnt really justify the S7 with the current Australian dollar... Its $2700 australian delivered... A little too much...

Ill sit tight with the coin i got, See what 21 has to offer & if someone else comes up with a better miner cheaper i might use some coins to buy back in..

Good luck to u all
378  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 21 co introducing bitcoin [mining+] computer for $399.99 (unofficial thread) on: September 27, 2015, 04:03:48 AM
I wasn't joking... Does anyone else not think this could be a possibility?

U dont get Us$100,000,000 in VC for nothing... How much is ebay worth??

$700,000,000, This could be an ebay killer....

Did you mean Ebay or PayPal? I don't think either one has anything to fear from 21Inc. As long as 21Inc tries to march towards an IPO, the VC guys will be happy. The VC guys will get their money back if/when the company tries to go public, The rest is all a sideshow. Nothing says that the VC guys are perfect. They lose money all the time, but as long as they strike it big often enough, they are good. I am just happy it's the VC guys investing money instead of "pre-order customers".

It will be so interesting to revisit this 2-3 years.

I meant both... Ebay & Paypal...

Ebay like for the marketplace & Paypal like for bitcoin payment & escrow..

I think a few of u under estimate these guys cause they are using VC money...

This could be the big ticket item that bitcoin has been waiting for, I think they are holding back details cause they don't really need to release them...

I hope i wont be eating my words later on but i think this is going to be big & a lot bigger than anyone on here is giving credit too..

I just don't think it will focus on mining like a lot of u do.. which in my mind is little too one track minded for bitcoin to ever really succeed

380  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I speculate that 21 Inc. is insane with their preorder momputer for $400 on: September 25, 2015, 12:06:15 PM
OMG, I can't believe no one here has thought about this for 2 mins to think about this in a positive aspect & how its not a miner...

& its not an IOT device, Well not in a sense that i see but a paid for service..... ( I can already here u all saying?Huh? What the??? )

Isn't everyone rushing to get a Silk road / Ebay / Paypal service up & running??

https://openbazaar.org/

Anyone???

Think about this.....

BTC Fullnode + wallet + space for apps, My guess would be an ebay style marketplace & escrow.

Think about loading the service across endless nodes & paying them a small amount to run (Hence the small miner)

So Us$400 is entry to setup a distributed ebay style service & the miner is payback for running the service...

This would get the service setup & running on lots of ip addresses saving them $$$$ on running the servers themselves, Leaving them just to run the backend & escrow service...

I'm pissed i didn't think of this first & seems i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed why no one else here thought of it before me??
