It will add one address for every one used, so there will always be 100 (by default) unused addresses. That is as far as I know.

hm... i work with the bitcoin wallet many months. no problem has been rise until now.
please try again. what kind of problem do you have ?
The blockchain never downloaded in full, not even after a few days of waiting. many possible reasons your internet connection is not stable your power saving mode cuts the internet connection check this. none of those were the issue. It's either a bug in the software or it just doesn't work with my version of android (2.2.2). I don't know. It also may be the limited space of htc desire (512 mb of flash drive).

I could never get the bitcoin wallet to work... On the other hand, bitcoinspinner worked flawlessly till the recent update (which should be fixed tomorrow).

hi jan,
nice job the work on the bitcoinspinner app.
i tried the app last night. quick response, easy handling, good looking, clever restore/save wallet functions!
1 BTC transfered from my bitcoin client and immediately the amount was on the app (about 60 sec) and now i try to return the btc. but i can't do that.
the receivers address is valid, the amount 0.999500 is entered but the button send bitcoins remains gray. do i make something wrong ?
greetings pazor
It sounds like you are doing everything right. Can you send a smaller amount, like 0.999? Did you cut'n'paste the address or scan a QR code? Please try it the other way around. Let me know the results. Thanks, Jan i tried the amount 0.999500 and 0.40 -> same result the address is copied through the clipboard, same result with qr scaning. the button remains gray. any idea ? seems like this is the exact same problem I have. Totally missed it.

Tried sending some coins but the Send Bitcoins button is always disabled no matter what I do...
I need a bit more info. I guess you are addressing the Send Bitcoins button on the Send page and not the main page. Is your balance larger than zero? Does the amount you send leave 0.0005 for a fee? Is the address valid? Did you scan a QR code or enter it by hand? I had 0.1 btc of balance and tried to send 0.05. The fee is mandatory, as far as I can tell? I don't think I can change it anywhere. I went into the send bitcoins view (the right one), scanned the qr code of the address on another android phone (also using the new version of bitcoinspinner), wrote 0.05 in the amount box and pressed enter, but the button was still disabled. I'm using android 2.2.2 (2.6.32.15) if that's relevant. edit: as for the fee, under the amount box there's "A Bitcoin transaction fee of 0.0005 btc is automatically added to your transaction."

I hope people realize they're still far better off being ejected and waiting a few days for space to clear than lending to this guy at half the interest rate.

The community here is great - loans from friendly strangers ftw ah, you say this now... you have no idea what they do to guys that don't repay their loans...

..is it normal for the GLBSE page to .. "refresh" for hours?! - it seems like totally frozen.
It has been down for me since early this morning This seems to be happening very often now a days should be a bug that Nefario should be able to fix but nothing seems to be done about it there's supposed to be glbse v2 soon, I guess that's why it hasn't been fixed yet.

What's the starting price on this?

No, I don't think I do. Why would I buy such coins? Fraud like this can be done much more easily than this.
I was giving you an example: You are an user of the bitcoinspinner client, so you trust what it shows on your mobile screen. I am instead the bad guy and I say to you that I'll am giving you 1000 BTC for only $3000. ( 1 BTC is $5.05 right now, so this is a great offer! ) You accept, and I'll make fake blocks with a fake transaction for 1000 bitcoin to your address. Than you send me your money, and you are fucked Ok, point taken. The other problem as I said is that the server can go offline for any reasons, and there can't be any substitute ... because there aren't any software / source code to make it.
BitconSpinner is opensource, anyone could check what kind of requests it sends to the server and what it expects to get back from it. With that information, anyone could make a compatible server.

No one can steal your funds, if they don't have your private key. Just because you are good man. Instead, if you are a bitcoinspinner user and I have hacked the server / killed the developer or I'm Crazy-Jan, then I can make a fake account on some markets and offering you ( and many other users ) bitcoin for money. I'll make 3/4/5 fake blocks and I'll sell to you many fake bicoin, for your REAL money. Can you understand it now? Anyway, I read that slush has took the bitcoinspinner code and he is converting it to works with the Electrum server, I think this is the best choice. Connecting all/many clients to only one server ( or more controlled only by one person ) has the same problems as giving all mining power to only one pool. No, I don't think I do. Why would I buy such coins (especially using bitcoinspinner, which is obviously made to buy stuff in the real world)? Fraud like this can be done much more easily than this.

True, but the server does not have your private keys, and is in no position to spend your coins.
Yes, but if you close the server there won't be any other taking his place. If this happens, I'm sure someone will go through the code and make a compatible server... Although I think it would be wise to opensource the server side code also, to further decentralize the system. Moreover if you go crazy or someone else will take control of the server then he will be able to make fake blocks and stealing money.
People that are installing this app should know about these dangerous possibilities ...
No one can steal your funds, if they don't have your private key.

What has happened, exactly?
One of my early lenders just pushed out some new people. You mean they deposited after you have updated the OP to 0BTC? Yea, forcing out new people like a freight train going through a parking lot. In that case, what if early adopters keep deposit more BTC even when you have 0BTC storage left? Would that mean more late adopters getting kicked out??? That's how it works. I don't think it's fair either.
