It's worth noting na malaki ang possibility na magkaroon agad ng maraming fake/scam mixers to take advantage of the situation.
Kahit ideny natin may ganito talagang mangyayari, of course sino ba naman may ayaw sumakay sa bus of opportunity.

364  Economy / Economics / Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ? on: March 19, 2023, 02:38:53 AM
It is always wise to save money, we need to save while we can because we don't know when we can face an emergency, saving is good but if we save our money we need a lot of time before it will become big savings, i suggest to use the saving if there any, make a small business that don't need a big capital or invest in crypto, etc., There a lot of ways to earn not only saving.

Now it is very difficult to find a business that requires little investment. Most of the market is occupied by monopolies, which simply do not let new players in. And you can't keep money either, because due to inflation, money is constantly depreciating

There are some that require a little investment but obviously, you can't observe huge profits.  If you are really serious about setting up a business with a small investment, you can try to be a street vendor, where you sell street foods or other items that can catch the attention of passer by.  Street food vendors that often stations themselves on the school gates only need a small investment but I heard many are able to save money and improve or upgrade their business.

I think that depends on which area you'll station yourself, coz there are some areas that requires you to pay for rent and overtime the rent only increases and eventually you'll give up that place but for sure you already have enough money saved.

Like what happened to one of my friends who started this kind of business, we were shocked to learn that the rent of that place was soaring high. Later we found out that it was reserved to someone and the price was 2 times lower when that someone rented.
365  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to become a slot game admin? on: March 18, 2023, 11:38:43 AM
I think it's just that they assume slots to be rigged or something, hence why the talk of being an admin makes them able to win, aka being able to access the behind-the-scenes stuff of slots. Which is not true. They're also not wrong in saying you can't exactly win in slots, though it's actually more in general where you don't win against the casino, that's in the long run. Individually game wise, you can both win and lose with close to 50/50 chances (it's skewed to casinos cause of house edge)
This is mostly what happens everytime. This is also the first time I heard about this kind of strategy since mostly people want to become the full owner of the casino and it's obvious that it costs alot. I haven't heard of someone become a co owner of slots through this, not unless you have someone close to you who happens to be an owner of that casino or slot machine.

I do agree with them that it is not you agains't the machine, instead it is you against the house and you'll eventually lose so it is also a wise decision to be a co-owner and that's new for me. It is somehow similar to renting a vending machine.
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: March 18, 2023, 10:41:06 AM
The Bear market is over technically looking at how the trend has started changing direction from the downwards trend, the long term downwards trend since 2021 ATH has been broken towards the up side and re-tested perfectly as supposed and has started creating higher highs and higher lows since then, Both in the daily and the weekly time frames, which we have not gotten since the beginning of this Bear market. I would like to say generally, that this is a bear market recovery since we have not broken the $69k in order to officially start a new bull market.
Even though nothing is guaranteed yet but seeing the market's reaction now, it's safe to assume that the probability of it going downtrend lessen. I know it's early for us to say this and almost everyone here would like the bear season to officially end. Who knows maybe later this year or early next year a huge change will happena and would enter another season. Again I'm not an expert financial analyst nor trying to be one, it's just my observation based on the market movements and there is no assurance as to when it'll stop or enter the next season. What we currently hear are just speculations.
367  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PHLWIN Fraud/Scam nga ba? on: March 18, 2023, 08:22:25 AM
Once na magkaroon ng issue na ganito, don't wait for them to fix it better to leave right away kase dito talaga nagsisimula ang problema.
I'm not using this site pero sana maging aware yung mga user sa possible risk nito. Hopefully, may say dito are regulatory board para maiwasan naman ang mga ganito kase panigurado marame paren talaga ang naaakis especially giving out huge referral reward, panigurado manghihikayat talaga ang mga referrer.
Technically, nasubukan kong maglaro nito the other day at masasabi baka maging kagaya ito sa mga laro na pinopromote ng ating mga kababayan dati sa social media platforms. Regarding naman sa withdrawal, first time kong nakapag withdraw ng medyo malaki-laking halaga mula dito, ewan ko lang pero base sa experience ko it took 10 mins bago ma withdraw (my own experience), at syempre hindi ko alam if ganito rin ba katagal ang withdrawal process ng sainyo.

Usually hindi naman ako picky sa withdrawal pero nung nasubukan ko di ko maiirecommend to play it for long term, if possible na profit na alis na talaga kasi bago palang ito at wala masyadong trusted reviews aside sa mga nag withdraw nung una, at kahit sabihin pa nila na makakawithdraw nga hindi parin ako kumbinsido.
368  Economy / Reputation / Re: How wide reaching can the consequences of Chipmixer money laundering be? on: March 18, 2023, 06:15:47 AM
The FBI isn’t going to come after signature wearers. They don’t have the time or resources first off. Secondly, those who advertised for CM didn’t have access to internal protocols, so how could they have known. The FBI went after the major promoters of bitconnect, but didn’t attempt to contact anyone underneath them promoting the obvious ponzi. They want those in charge, who were in the know.

In the collectibles world here on the forum there’s been an attempt to contact the FBI and other regulatory bodies over essentially theft by a coin maker that is likely well over a million dollars  ..we’ve been turned away and sent on a wild goose chase left and right to try and get some legal body to just listen to what’s going on. If it’s that hard to get someone to investigate a million dollars + in fraud, does anyone really think they’ll go after CM signature wearers who weren’t aware they were promoting an illegal business.

According to news outlets, German authorities seized servers and crypto worth $46 million. US authorities have accused Chipmixer of laundering over $3 billion since 2017. If international authorities will try to seize all funds related to Chipmixer as they are deemed to be illicit, then it is possible that an attempt could be made by authorities to retrieve all the funds that have been paid out as signature campaign fees as they have effectively promoted/advertised the service.
They should first go after Google for receiving money for scam advertising (which happens on a large scale, every single day).

This could end up being very messy for a lot of members in the forum that participated in their signature campaigns if the FBI and US justice department decide to force forum members to repay all the money they received from Chipmixer as signature campaign income.
Eh... seems like a waste of time. Not everyone is from the US, and I don't think mixers by themselves are illegal.

The paper on ChipMixer by the DoJ implies that their crimes were:

1. money laundering;
2. operating an unlicensed money-transmitting business;
3. identity theft.

Would CM be hunted if they specifically analyzed the coins received before mixing them? Like, imagine them contacting Chain analysis and asking if the coins a user sent came from a DNM, and if so, prompting the user for his KYC documents... (crime 1)

Would they be hunted if they disallowed US customers and enforced that by also taking KYC documents (thus not being an "unlicensed money-transmitting business" in the US?) (crime 2)

And last, if ChipMixer didn't register his PayPal accounts with bought/stolen documents? (crime 3)

https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/1574581/download

I Remember when bitconnect ads were all over YouTube…the most obvious ponzi in a long time.  Problem is google is more powerful than the FBI, as the US allows for massive corps to fund political campaigns all they want , which means politicians are mostly just bought puppets, who can (and do) tell the FBI to leave certain companies alone. It’s the biggest joke in the US governmental system that this is still allowed.

True!! There is a huge difference between unknowingly promoting an illegal campaign which is the case on chipmixer. Few years ago this is one of my dream to be part of this successful and one of the longest running campaigns in this forum. Though I'm sadden by the recent news, it is not reasonable for FBI to pursue signature wearers and spend lots of resources doing that. Campaign promoters are getting paid to promote while following the external rule imposed on this forum, it's not as if they are directly working on the mixer. Besides if the FBI still wants to pursue this matter, it would seem to look like they are just fishing the small fishes just to prove they have the authority over, while proving nothing on the case.

370  Local / Pilipinas / Re: FlipTop Emcee nag promote ng Cryptocurrency at Blockchain sa kanilang kanta on: March 18, 2023, 05:39:40 AM
Irrelevant man itong sasabihin ko pero I think this is not the only time na may mga rappers na nagpopromote regarding cryptocurrency and such.

Sabi nga ng mga beteranong mga traders, maybe what's effective trading strategy for me doesn't mean it's also effective kung iaapply mo ito.

I usually play for fun and slots isn't just for me coz I'm always unlucky whenever I spin, but there was one time I was watching my younger brother playing slots and manage to win x100 times. I was really envious, I just kept losing money whenever I play those kind of games Roll Eyes  Cry. Also I didn't know there're new animations they're offering now, I'll try to play later after I get out of my work, well basically I'll let my brother play and just watch him, who knows? maybe he'll win big again.

375  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paano nga ba mag bottom fishing? (High reward trading strategy) on: March 15, 2023, 07:59:15 AM
Ito pala other term niya. Usually di ko na ginagawang komplikado yung trades ko kasi most of the time di ko nababantayan market.

377  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 15, 2023, 05:04:12 AM
Gambling sites depend almost entirely on gambling. All the active members here and almost everyone externally are addicted to gambling.
<cut>

I'm not entirely sure that's true. While it's certainly true that gambling sites rely heavily on revenue generated from their users, I don't think it's fair to say that everyone who participates in online gambling is addicted. In fact, I'd say that the majority of users approach it responsibly and with self-control, enjoying it purely as a form of entertainment rather than relying on it to make a profit or satisfy an addiction.

Though it's hard to admit it, but there're also those who're addicted to gambling. Even if we say it's just a small percentage, it's true that they already know what will come next once they become addicted, it's just that they rely solely on emotions and being greedy. There're too that relies on gambling as a way to earn profit even if the risk is getting deeper and deeper into the pits of no return.
378  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PHLWIN Fraud/Scam nga ba? on: March 15, 2023, 03:13:43 AM

379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot be a Bank? on: March 14, 2023, 04:03:36 PM
I read this tweet by Michael Saylor and I think it is not practical. I believe this guy was pretty high when he started comparing Bitcoin with Bank. Let's compare most of what he tweeted and then let's discuss the real problem. We all know the positive aspect of Bitcoin and to an extent, I agree with what he tweeted. I still would like to ask in general:

  • Can you pay your Mortgage with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay your house rent with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay all your bills with Bitcoin?
  • Can you pay your medical bills with Bitcoin?

Deceiving newbies with such a statement won't get Bitcoin the required recognition. It would only lead to more confusion and uncertainty as Banks have done for so long. Such a statement from a Bitcoin influencer would only tarnish the image of Bitcoin. Mcafee was known for such statements.

Yes, in my opinion, all of the above current payments can be made if you convert bitcoin to fiat currency on a monthly basis.

Bitcoin can be compared to a bank in that it is a store of value.  Previously, bankers kept gold bars in their cellars, which were tightly locked with a key.  This gold allowed bankers to carry out monetary transactions - for example, to issue letters of exchange to clients.

Bitcoin is our personal bank.  Its value is analogous to gold, and the private key is analogous to a large metal key from a secure basement - vault.

Whoever owns bitcoin owns wealth and can periodically sell some of their digital gold to cover running costs.
It's safe to say bitcoin is already on par with the existing traditional asset like gold since it could be stored with value. As what the OP says promoting it in a wrong way won't give bitcoin the exact recognition it deserves and will only lead to bitcoin being misunderstood. This is one of the reasons why on the past years there're so many newbies are attracted to crypto for a while and then disheartened after knowing that they could lose anytime.

Promoting it in a way that it looks like a scheme only leads bitcoin further away from its original purpose and goals. It is also not called promotion, rather it will be called plain old hyping. This is commonly used by those influencers to attract their target market but, is this really the best method to introduce crypto? Coz as what can I see these kind of method will only be effective temporarily.
