What are you doing ? You should see first for the price you want to buy if cheap or down you should buy it and if the price is still high should not. But keep in mind that you must have BTC or ETH if you want to buy.
Yes we must have bitcoin or ethreum in order to buy altcoin once you have altcoins then we can use altcoin in exchange of other altcoins and it's not always about the price factor of buying at the less price and stepping back when high it's all about the value of coin in terms of features and technologies which are used. |

You should invest in coins that have real use cases, I don't expect a lot of alts to recover that well from this.

I believe in your statement as i have been witnessing this from last 3 years as there is a sharp decline in the price of bitcoin and other alts from Christmas time which goes on till March or April of next year then the market get stable and in couple of months again the market situation gets bullish only to be again lose the value in January of other year. |

Market is not confident anymore about the everbulling trend... BTC is not a so good store of value too it seems, except the case it turns in high green territory fast again, this is one of the biggest drop suffered by BTC and alt market so far, we need a great help to go through this.

There is a lot of speculation surrounding the minor forks of Bitcoin, such as Bitcoin White, Bitcoin Hot and Bitcoin LIZA. They are listed in a few major exchanges and seems to be having quite healthy volumes. But I am not sure whether any of them will survive in the long term.
I was not aware about it till now and thanks for sharing this news and as per my experience into crypto world i don't think any of these coins will survive and survival of bitcoincash itself is still a mystery because these coins never have a solid identity for themselves as these will end up as replica of bitcoin. |

I think Bitcoin would remain stable for a few months. After that It would increase again and hit 20k.
Yes that's the fact and I am sure that opportunists will make the most of this dip and again cash out when the value of bitcoin reaches peak I believe that bitcoin will become more stable and have a gradual price rise till it reaches the top. I'd like to say i'm with you guys here but let's not get our hopes too high since it will hurt a lot more if those expectations are crushed, just like what's currently happening. All of us are hoping for a bitcoin rebound but we can't really tell. Many think that if bitcoin this week touched on the price of 10k dollars then we will see, bitcoin will touch 8k dollars and possibly all the coins keep going down, if you feel seeing this moment is very good for you to sell, then you can take a very decision good... Yes it's up to us to realize the right moment and sell it at the peak if we are day traders but most of the time a huge pump happens after a slight dump so most of us wait to sell when there is a dump and it dumps further we wait thinking we have already lost some profit why not wait till the end and except a pump and finally we lose patience and sell it for price of peanuts so it's really important to play with the market situation. |

Its good that you stated the statistics from past years as many people in the forum are just worrying too much cause maybe some are new to the forum so some don't remember the stats you stated. By reading this they would get to know that worst have seen in the past years so there is nothing to worry about. And every year there has been a decent percentage of increase at the end of the year. So, just hold on to your bitcoins and wait as the price is gonna rise . Yes this statistic brings relief to me and definitely bring relief to all those panic users who are literally crying and gone crazy for a dip as this is not the first time the value has been dipped and this will not be the last dump as well. This time of the year all the regulators and some government have decided to bring down the value of bitcoin so they are coming up with all these useless regulation I doubt they might try to reinvest into bitcoin when the value drops down to the lowest and again cash out once the value reaches high. |

It sounds very odd. I do not think it will ever happen. we are all too deep in the world of crypto and in blockchain. There is no way bitcoin dropping down that much and I am sure in about 3 Month's time bitcoin will reach a new level or at least reach 15k mark and to be honest this slump was never expected to happened as people were predicting bitcoin to reach 40k by the beginning of this year but still let's hope for a recovery. |
