The answer is because of bitcoin's value drop. Yes, any altcoins is affected by bitcoin because we use it as an exchange for our fiat money also we use that to buy an altcoins direct or indirect. Bitcoin is essential for buying and trading tokens because as of now it is the only coin that is exchageable to our fiat money.

There are 2 main reasons why the altcoins are still going down and they are
Selling of coins = market cap
Which means that when people start investing in cryptocurrencies again, the marketcap will increase and the altcoins will gain price.
FUD - which is resulting in panic selling of cryptocurrencies. There are many rumors and negative news going around in media which is why there is a lot of FUD spreaded in the community.
Cryptocurrencies will take a while now until the next ride begins. It is best to hold whatever position we are in right now.

actually, i do not or what is happening so it is very impact to the current price movement of digital asset market, is it because of new regulation in india? or is this a trend of global correction like the year before? I have no idea

because i think it must all be analised as a whole - cryptocurrency market. the market cap maximum point in january reach 8 bilions now it was even 3 .. there are lots of money out of the market ... also the FUD created arround .. get such results . but the sun will rise very soon, i'm sure about that!

If the total marketcap of cryptocurrencies started to stabilize bitcoin would recover together with most of the altcoins,but if the total marketcap will still decline surely the bloodbath wouldnt stop,because most investors are playing safe with bitcoin's drama thats why their money are being cashout in the market. |

I believe that the price of altcoins are dropping because of btc. The of price of btc is still declining and many others are affected by this happening. If btc price goes up again, we can surely see that these altcoins will also increase in price and value. We should not be worried of this trend as I believe that btc price will go up again eventually in the future. Altcoins should be aware of the price of btc everyday.

Yes alts are still selling off fairly hard, it's just a risk off environment. People are still very scared, but this is just a natural part of the cycle. It will pick up again in time, there is still so much good news happening |

Market is not confident anymore about the everbulling trend... BTC is not a so good store of value too it seems, except the case it turns in high green territory fast again, this is one of the biggest drop suffered by BTC and alt market so far, we need a great help to go through this.

One thing i genuinely feel is whenever bitcoin will fall,alts will fall with it and that recovery will be the exact same.But this is not technically correct.See what happens is when bitcoin falls or even small correction happens,it works negatively in favors of alts and this creates FUDs in alts as though only bitcoin is falling but people just assumes that same will happen in alts too and they start taking their money out.Which automatically makes alts to fall as simple as that and this will continue untill bitcoin raises again. |
