To be honest that's not a game i have ever heard of before. Seems like an interesting looking game. Is there any place that you can play it without having to put down any money first? Like an learners level or tutorial. Something in that direction...

I would rather learn to play it first Huh
3602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have any real value? on: October 08, 2021, 03:29:13 PM
Bitcoin is not backed by any physical asset like Gold nor by any fiat currency. It makes me wonder if I should invest/trade in Bitcoin or not?

Well, if you absolutely need it to be backed by something physical, I would say the electricity that is produced and used for mining bitcoin is quite physical. Other than that, people have traded their fiat (which is supposedly backed by gold) in for bitcoin.

So the value seems to be quite real to me. Not sure where people get this idea that bitcoin isnt backed by anything or that its purely speculational in nature.
What even is speculation? Speculation is just guessing how much value bitcoin will obtain in the future.

The value itself isn't really speculated.  Kiss

Was soll das überhaupt heißen?

3604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Karnataka Government Banned Online Gambling on: October 08, 2021, 03:19:21 PM
Yeah before everyone starts panicking about India banning an unbannable currency for the nth time, lets all remember that cryptocurrency can be used for online gambling services but the same goes for fiat or even coupons. So banning it won't really bring any kind of results I would say...

...Other than that I have stopped trusting banning of bitcoin news over the years. If anyone could have banned it, they already would have.

Bitcoin is forever. Grin
3605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The HODL to 100K movement on: October 08, 2021, 03:15:37 PM
Another thread full of people who don't realise BTC is the new money. HODL for 100k? More like HODL for LIFE! Anyone who does not understand this does not understand bitcoins true potential or that the future is bitcoin. Fiat is dying. Why why why would you trade your money for monopoly money?

That just does not make any sense to me.... Roll Eyes

3607  Economy / Economics / Re: Evergrande situation on: October 07, 2021, 07:42:29 AM
As some people in this thread have already mentioned, I don' think the whole evergrand fiasco will have a large (or even medium) effect on bitcoin. It seems to me that the whole ordeal is being artificially blown of out proportion out of political reasons.

I would not trust any information coming out of China in the first place. China is very well known to lie whenever it suits them and Evergrand may just be some sort of scheme or state strategy.  Kiss
3608  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: October 07, 2021, 07:33:05 AM
I have been watching this market for a long time.

It seems that in the early part of a bull market, Bitcoin goes up faster than altcoins (ie Bitcoin dominance goes up.)  In the late part of a bull market, Bitcoin still goes up but altcoins go up even better (ie Bitcoin dominance goes down.)

In a bear market, altcoins fall faster than Bitcoin (ie Bitcoin dominance recovers somewhat but has to wait for the next bull market to go really high.)

So, it would seem the correct play is to buy altcoins at this point, and then convert them into Bitcoin (or sell) when you see the bull market ending?

Any thoughts?

[I used to post as BobK71, and am using a new account after some logistical mixup.]

Bitcoin always goes up first and the altcoins follow, as far as I have observed over the years. But then again when it goes down, altcoins crash down even harder. But sometimes its the other way around. Altcoins boost bitcoin even higher.

As to selling, I think its too difficult to tell when the bull market is ending and in the worst case scenario, you might have played yourself by selling waaay too soon and fomoing back in asap. Shocked Roll Eyes
3609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra, the Racist BroCoin on: October 07, 2021, 07:28:59 AM
The audacity of billionaires and their opportunistic business dealings doesn't really surprise me. This is like whenever a tragedy or something happens in the world and the first reaction of companies is "oh, wow lets use this for PR". And they put up some multicolored flag which they don't really support in real life.

But how do we go against opportunistic people like that? They are just way tooo powerful. Cry Roll Eyes
3610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: October 07, 2021, 07:16:11 AM
Yes, anything can happen in gambling, just like a $2 lottery ticket can win millions dollars, so it's possible to win the amount stated on OP.
However, reproducibility is an entirely different thing. He can win doesn't mean he can teach or can repeat the winning.

Anyone says they can teach you to magically turn $5,000 into $1,000,000 is going to scam you. Why? Because they will spend their time gambling, not teaching or selling products.

I agree with this statement. Truly, anyone claiming such numbers is really fishing for the weakest of the weakest minds. The chance of making 5k into millions is mathematically extremely low.

Also why would anyone trust someone else's claims with such large amounts of money? Im sure the spreadsheet looks nice and everything and may even have robust data but some things are too good to be true. Otherwise everyone would be millionaires...

If all can do the same, then we won't see any gambling house that still open or still surviving, right? But we don't really know the real score if things happened then congrats to OP if not, no one force anyone to believe though, whatever you think it's your judgement and OP don't need to care about it, it's our opinion against him.

Maybe there are people who know well. They managed to create a good system that helps them to anticipate or predict the possible outcomes.

Who knows in due time you also find the secret pattern,  Roll Eyes Tongue kidding aside, we all, as gambler desire to win, but most of us are losers Grin Tongue

That's exactly what I am thinking about.  Undecided.  Gambling isn't supposed to be some kind of like a magical profit strategy that never fails to make money. People are always looking for a way to make an income without having to work. But gambling is and always was just for fun. Taking the risk is supposed the be fun, not an actual job.
3611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not a Game . on: October 06, 2021, 04:04:17 PM
I believe that traders can say whatever they want and make whichever claims they want... But the fact is that there are waaay to many variables which influence the price every second and its virtually impossible to keep track of all of them. So whichever strategies or methods traders may say is best, I still believe that nobody can truley predict the future prices and therefore trading is basically a somewhat less risky gambling game.
3612  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Ihr fragt Euch warum es keine Bitcoin ATMs in D gibt? on: October 06, 2021, 04:01:01 PM

Wird Know Your Customer /AML benötigt ab einer bestimmten Einzahlung/Auszahlung?

3613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIB the new tough competitor to DOGE on: October 06, 2021, 03:56:36 PM
Shiba Inu could not hold up their end of the bargain as soon as Vitalik decided to get rid of some of his tokens. And I am sure it wasn't the first nor the last time that will happen. In my eyes Shib has been nothing but a pump and dump doge wannabe coin. I would not invest in doge in the first place. So why would I invest in a look-alike with a failed past?
Nope. Too dangerous for me. Not taking that risk.

Very strange position to be in. Locked and loaded, but not wanting to pull the trigger.

Similar position. Have some expenses need to be taken care of but trying to hold out as long as possible.

I would prefer homelessness over selling, but ok.

3618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Binance need kyc to do any trading? on: October 05, 2021, 07:50:36 PM
As far as new accounts go, you definitely need to hand in your KYC documents if you want to trade and as far as old accounts are concerned,  you currently are free to trade and withdraw with a daily limit of 0.06 BTC. Not sure about deposit limits though.... I think that will change after October 10th. Everyone will be forced to KYC.
How come I was still able to buy in Spot Trading when I have my name labeled as unverified yet? I only have Binance because that's where I send my SLP to and convert it in there, I don't think that you will be forced to, they don't even notify you to get verified so I don't think that they're forcing people.
He was wrong, without KYC available to trade and can withdraw just have limit under 2 btc can withdraw, why he gave fake news about binance need to KYC, I use for long time without KYC can trade and sell coin there, withdraw limit under 2 btc every day but if you pass KYC with upload document and take selfie you can increase withdraw limit above 100 btc on every day.

I might be wrong and binance may have not yet set into motion all the regulations that they announced. I was just reporting what Binance announced to their userbase. Just because they haven't yet set things into motion doesn't mean things will stay as they are... Roll Eyes
3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't trade using instinct on: October 04, 2021, 02:24:16 PM
From my point of view, I think rather than instincts, the problem seems to lie with emotional trading. You make a good trade and you get all happy and think the next one will be good too. Same with bad trades, except you trade on the hope you will make your money back. Best practice is not to look at charts and step away from your screen.
